Chapter 12: Atleast Friends
Everyone got into the cars and headed off. Inuyasha and Kagome followed behind the others. Both we silent. Neither knew what to say to the other. After about thirty minutes of silence Kagome couldn’t take it anymore. “Look Inuyasha I know you hate me and all, and probably don’t like the idea of going on a camping trip with me. I will promise to do my best to get along with you if you promise to do the same. O.k.?” “Sure I don’t have a problem with that.” Silence.
After about 10 minutes of it Inuyasha spoke up. “Ah Kagome.” “Yes” “Your cousins didn’t tell you about the sleeping arrangements did they?” “What sleeping arrangement?” Inuyasha sighed. He did not want her to kill the messenger. “Inuyasha what sleeping arrangements?” “Well you see ah I was told that youandIwouldbesharingatenttogether.” He cast Kagome a glance to see what her reaction was. “What did you say I didn’t quite catch that?” “I said that we would be sharing a tent!” “What? What do you mean we will be sharing a tent. I agreed to be nice and not to fight, but I didn’t agree to share a tent with you.” “Look here I don’t like the idea more then you but apparently they only had enough money for three tents.” Then suddenly Kagome bust out laughing. He looked at her like she was crazy. “What in the hells so funny?” “We’ve been set up!” “What are you talking about?” “Inuyasha my cousins didn’t happen to mention that we used to go camping every year before we came here did they?” “No but what has that got to do with it?” “Use your brain Inuyasha. I know it’s hard for you and all.” “HEY” “Look I'll explain it to you. Don’t you think that since we have been going camping every year for the past I don’t know how many years that we would have tents of our own. And the only reason I didn’t pack them my self was because they told me that they already had them packed, so I didn’t think anything of it. Do you understand now?” “Oh I see so they arranged for us to share a tent.” “Ah see you’re not as dumb as you look.” “Hey what happened to being nice wench?” Kagome just shrugged. Suddenly she turned to him with a huge grin on her face.
Inuyasha started to shift nervously. He had seen that grin before, and didn’t like it one bit. She was planning something. “Inuyasha” Kagome said sweetly. He flinched. “Yes?” “Well we did agree to be nice and not fight with each other, but we agreed not to do any to them.” Inuyasha smirked. He knew there was a reason he liked this girl. She had a good head on her shoulders. “That’s right so how do you want to get them back.” “Well here’s what I was thinking.”
For the rest of the way, Inuyasha and Kagome went on planning evil things that they could do to their companions. “So we agree to start working on things tomorrow.” “Yea” They finally made it to the campsite and parked the car behind the others. “Well at least they didn’t kill each other on the way.” Said Rin. “Yea that's a good sign, maybe this won’t be as hard as we thought.” Replied Sango. Everyone got out of the vehicles and looked around.
The camping spot was a nice on. It was off the road a ways surrounded by trees. They had great access to the lake that was near by and it had a hiking trail off to the right. It was beautiful. “All right guys lets get to work.” Everyone groaned. They started unpacking and setting up the tents. After they got everything set up they decided to go for a swim.
The girls went out in the woods to change and the guys went behind the cars. After they got changed the boys went and waited for the girls to come back. When they heard laughing coming their way, all three turned around. When they saw them all three started to drool. Rin was wearing a light blue bikini, Sango was wearing a dark blue one, and Kagome was wearing a black one. When they saw the guys staring at them Rin and Sango blushed. Kagome looked annoyed. “What are you looking at?” Inuyasha turned back around and folded his arms across his chest. “Feh, like I would be looking at you anyways.” The others just shook their heads and headed for the water. There was a small dock that led out in the water that they could jump off from. They swam and played in the water for a few hours before they got tired. Everyone, but Inuyasha and Kagome got out of the water.
Inuyasha checked to make sure that everyone was gone before he went to swim next to Kagome. He was so nervous around her and hoped she didn’t notice the change. ‘No one should look that good in a bikini’ he thought. “Ah Kagome.” “Yes” “You don’t really hate me do you?” Kagome looked at him. He looked so vulnerable. “No I could never hate you. I just don’t like the way you treat people is all.” “I don’t hate you either just so you know.” She flashed him a big smile and his heart started to race. They both just stared at the other for a few seconds before they turned away and blushed. “Oh ya well anyways I’m going to get out. You might not want to stay out her to long.” Said Inuyasha. “Ah ya I’ll be there in minute or two.” “O.k.”
After Inuyasha left, Kagome tried to get her racing heart under control. ‘What the hell just happened.’ She didn’t know what it was but something had just happened between them. Damn what was wrong with her. This was ridiculous. He was only there for a few minutes and that seemed just enough to make her horny. It wasn’t her fault. She couldn’t help it. She felt like she was going crazy. Just thinking about him made things worse. Before she knew it she was swimming around fantasizing about him. Him kissing her. Him touching her. Him fucking her. Oh god what was she supposed to do for a damn week. If just being around him and his wonderful body for a few minutes did this to her she could just imagine what would happen when they went to bed tonight. Damn more dirty thoughts came to her head. If he looked that good in nothing but shorts she could just imagine what he would look like without any clothes on. Shit she was doing it again. This was going to be one long week.
The day started to go by fast. Before they knew it it was time to head for bed. Inuyasha and Kagome had made their tent a ways away from the others. They had agreed in the car that they both didn’t want to have to listen to the others if they decided to do something. They went in their tent to wait for the others to fall asleep, so they could start working on their revenge. After two hours they gathered the things they needed, and started working on their pranks. When everyone else was busy earlier, Inuyasha and Kagome had went out in the woods and gathered supplies. They caught a bunch of bugs and worms and decided that they would be used for Rin and Sesshoumaru, since Rin didn’t like bugs. They crept over to the tent and un-zipped the flap open just enough to dump the bugs and worms in. Zipping it back they crept toward Miroku and Sango’s tent. Kagome really couldn’t think of anything to do to Sango since nothing really go to her. So they dug huge hole in front of their tent. It was just deep enough to hold water, but not deep enough to cause injuries. They made sure it was nice and muddy before they started to retreat back to their tent.
Along the way Kagome tripped on a root sticking out of the ground. She grabbed the closest thing to her as she started to fall. It just so happened to be Inuyasha. He flipped so that he would take the brunt of the fall with Kagome on top of him. The wind was knocked out of him. When he finally caught his breath, he noticed that Kagome had her head baried in his chest and she was shaking. “Kagome are you o.k? You’re not hurt are you?” When she looked up at him, he saw that she was trying hard not to laugh. “You know I can’t wait to see their faces in the morning. This is going to be so funny.” He let out a chuckle. “Ya all we have to do is wait to hear Rin scream in the morning and sit back and enjoy the show.” “Ya”
Neither made a move to get up. They just lad there staring into each other’s eyes. Before Inuyasha’s brain could register what he was doing, he leaned up and kissed her. After the shock of Inuyasha kissing her wore off she started to kiss him back. He ran his tongue over her lips seeking entrance. When she complied to his request his tongue darted in to her mouth. What started out as a simple kiss soon became heated. Everything else faded away leaving just each other. Inuyasha rolled them over so that he was on top and never releasing her from the kiss. His hands ran up and down her sides and settled on her hip. He released her mouth and started training kisses to her left ear. “Gods Kagome do you know how long I’ve wanted to kiss you.” He continued down to her neck sucking and nipping along the way. “Not as long as I wanted you too.” Inuyasha made his way to her mouth again and kissed her again. This time it didn’t last as long. When he released her he looked down at her beautiful face. She had a dreamy look on it. “Come on we better get to bed so we don’t miss the excitement in the morning.” Inuyasha said. He helped her up and led her to their tent. Kagome lad down with her back to him. Inuyasha lad down next to her. He wrapped his arm around her waist and nuzzled her neck. “Goodnight Kagome” he whispered in her ear. “Goodnight Inuyasha.”
