Talica growled as Koga tied her arms firmly to the trunk of a tree. She glared at him as he smirked lustfully at her, bringing a long nailed finger to drag across her smooth cheek. Talica moved her head to the side in pure disgust.

Koga laughed as he turned and began to gather sticks to set up camp for the night.

As the night became later and later Talica watched as Koga fell asleep. She began to pull at her restraints. Seeing that her attempts were futile, she concentrated her powers to form into her fox-demon form.

A white light surrounded her body giving her a surreal glow. Her body slowly began to turn to that of a small fox. The fox was a golden orange color the same as her hair when she was in human form. Her hands, now being small paws, were able to slip through the ropes.

The fox quickly ran from Koga. She dashed through the trees with an unmatchable velocity and celerity.

As Talica reached a lake she lay beside it completely out of breath. Once her heart had slowed to a reasonable pace, she stood on her legs and began to lap at the fresh, clear waters.

"What are you?"

Talica quickly turned to the voice, her cat-like eyes flashing in the moonlight. She quickly let down her defense at seeing Sesshomaru standing before. The fox panted happily and ran over to the dog-demon lord rubbing against his leg in a friendly manner.

Sesshomaru watched the kind exchange and frowned, "Why did you lie to me?" The fox stopped and looked up to him, confusion in her eyes. " Tell me the truth, Talica, what are you."

Talica jumped back placing her front two legs outstretched before her and her back legs still stood so her butt was in the air. She panted, her present position telling Sesshomaru she wanted to play. He shook his head and turned from her. Talica's back legs fell to the ground and she whimpered.

Sesshomaru continued to walk away. He didn't know why but part him was hurt from the deceit and knowledge that the girl was not human, but the other half of him was relieved that she was of his kind…but she wasn't, right? At least that what Jaken had said the wolf had said.

"I don't know."

Sesshomaru turned to see the fox in the form of a…demon…in the form of a…human…a demon that could be mistaken for human if not for the pointed ears, sharp fangs and nails, and also the demonic, yet erotic, eyes. Sesshomaru's eyes widened, "How many forms do you have?"

Talica walked up to him, "Many." She said as she stopped in front of him.

Talica felt tears pricking at her eyes. She was a very sensitive person. Sesshomaru saw that her appearance, demon or human, did not at all affect her personality.

"Don't cry, Talica, I promised you I'd never make you cry again, I'm sorry." Sesshomaru said with a once of affection.

Talica nodded remembering that day well. Sesshomaru was a bit annoyed that day and didn't want to be bothered, but she wanted to be with him. She'd gotten him so upset. She remembered the demon's eyes glowing red and his fangs sharpening dangerously. The demon had hit her with remarkable strength across her face, which was where the three scratches upon her cheek came from, she was able to hide the mark but she was hurt deeply. She had cried at his feet as he looked down upon her with burning red eyes. Seeing her tears, Sesshomaru calmed down and brought her into his arms promising to never make her cry again.

"Do you wish for me to leave? I'm not very strong. If I am then I know nothing about my powers. Please don't push me away, Lord Sesshomaru." Talica begged as she kneeled before his feet.

Sesshomaru sighed, "Don't bow down to me." He said as he reached down and brought her up, "Come." He said as he turned and walked away.

Talica smiled as she ran up to Sesshomaru and walked with him.

Koga was enraged, "How could she escape?" he yelled as he threw anything he could find.

The demon's Dragin and Shevon dodged the sticks that Koga threw, "Maybe you can just find her again. " Shevon stated as he ducked before a rather large rock could hit him.

Koga blew harshly, "Oh, I will. " he stated before he took off through the trees.

Dragin looked at Shevon, "Maybe we should help." They stared at each for a while, "Nah." They both stated.

Talica stared at the moon. She had yet to change from her…second demon…form. She shivered lightly as the wind blew.

"Why are you up?" Sesshomaru asked from behind her.

Talica sighed, "I'm afraid."

"Afraid?" he asked not quite familiar with the emotion.

Talica nodded.

"Well…I mean I'll…protect you." Sesshomaru stated slowly so not to sound as though he cared…because he didn't.

Talica turned to him, her silver-blue eyes bright with happiness, "Thank you." she said softly as her orange hair blew behind her. She had let it down in the back and left two ponytails up on top with some hair covering her eyes. She thought it was cute and softened her demon look.

Sesshomaru turned and went back to his room to sleep.

Jaken walked through the hall feeling restless. As he walked through the hall he spotted a figure enter into his master's room. Curious, he snuck up to the door and peeked inside.

Talica sat near Sesshomaru with a dazed look in her eyes. She leaned over the sleeping demon and ran her tongue along his lips and jaw.

The demon immediately woke to the action, "Talica…what are you-"

The young demon silenced him with a kiss. Jaken's eyes widened. He was completely frozen. He was going to bust in there right then and there and rid of the girl himself, but he rethought the action as he saw his lord returning the kiss with fervor. Jaken's mouth dropped, `Milord, what is this? He can't.' Jaken thought to himself as he continued to watch the scene.

Talica pulled back and laughed with great fervent as Sesshomaru pulled her down beside him and began to nibble on her neck. Sesshomaru pulled back and looked into her eyes seeing the lust that filled them completely.

"I've dreamed of the day that you would come to my bed." He breathed into her ear.

Jaken stepped away from the door, "He knew?" he whispered, "He knew what would happen and yet he still did it?" Jaken had fire burning in his eyes, "That girl is changing him…I must be rid of her." he stated as he ran into the woods.

Sesshomaru woke to emptiness beside him, "Talica?" Sesshomaru called for her. Getting no response he got up and took his rob. "Talica?" he called again standing in the hall. Sesshomaru's heart began to race, but he ignored the felling. "Talica?" he called again searching the household that they had taken shelter in for the time. Sesshomaru felt his body heat up with…an unknown felling.

He turned toward the sound of splashing water. Walking over to the noise, he sighed with his relief. He felt his body turn back normal at seeing his mate swimming peacefully in the waters.

"Hey, Sesshomaru." Talica said as she swam up to him.

Sesshomaru smiled, "Hey." He said as he kissed her deeply, "I was worried."

"Why?" she asked.

Sesshomaru sat down upon the grass, "I couldn't find you."

Talica smiled, "Were you scared?"

Sesshomaru looked at her and frowned, "Never." He stated.

Talica shrugged as she began to swim again. Sesshomaru watched her. He frowned again as he looked around not sensing the presence of his little imp. "Where's Jaken?" he asked Talica.

"Don't know, don't care, how's that?" she asked with venom at the mention of the toad, "Probably off somewhere trying figure out away to get rid of me."

"I take offense to that." An out of nowhere Jaken stated.

"Jaken." Sesshomaru stated.

"Well you should, I was talking about you." Talica yelled.

"Why you-"

"Jaken." Sesshomaru stated again with more force.

Jaken turned to him and bowed, "Yes, milord?"

"First off, you are to show respect to her now that she is my mate and I know you know that." Jaken nodded. Sesshomaru went on, "Secondly, you know I always want to know where you are…so…where were you."

"Forgive me master. I was restless and went out for a nightly stroll. I didn't realize how late it'd gotten until the sun rose." Jaken stated, "Too deep in thought I guess."

"About how you're going to get rid of me?" Talica prompted.

"Enough, Talica, you have no right to accuse him of such things." Sesshomaru stated calmly.

Talica eyes burned with anger, there silver-blue color turning a blood red. Sesshomaru was taken back by the sudden change in his mate, "Talica."

The demon girl turned from him and went under the water. Sesshomaru sighed.

"Nothing but trouble, milord." Jaken said to him. Sesshomaru growled and rolled his eyes as he went back into the house.

Day had turned to noon and noon to dusk. Sesshomaru watched as the sun began to disappear behind the horizon and wondered why his love had not come from swimming yet. He walked out to the small pond and searched for her. He sniffed at the air but found no trace of her scent. Well…rather his scent…since they had bonded, she would now have his scent and not her own.

This time Sesshomaru felt it full-blown…fear…for the first time…he…the great lord Sesshomaru was afraid that he'd lost his mate who he could've sworn three months ago was a human, but now…all that matter was that she was his mate…his and his alone.

"TALICA!" Sesshomaru yelled with all his might, hoping beyond hope the girl would pop out and yell `gotcha'.

Talica walked quickly through the trees, ignoring Sesshomaru's yells. She had transformed so that Sesshomaru wouldn't be able to find her. Since Sesshomaru would be searching for his own scent on her, he wouldn't think to search for her own, besides, he'd never smelt the scent of the formation she had now.

Her formation consisted of fox ears upon her head and a fluffy golden tail that was white- tipped. Her hair fell down to her mid-back and her eyes were covered by orange bangs.

She continued to walk through the twigs, her pants being ripped by the many branches that surrounded her. Her ears twitched as she heard voices from the road that lie ahead.

Jumping onto the branch of a nearby tree, Talica jumped from branch to branch till she was in view of the people on the road.

"If you're going to be acting like that, InuYasha, then you can just stay here." Said a girl with black hair in a very strange outfit.

"Kagome, you're being insensitive, you know InuYasha has his days." Said a boy that resembled a monk.

The one they called InuYasha crossed his arms and huffed, "Don't defend me. I'll stay here, that's fine with me. Let's just see how well you do without me." He stated smugly.

The black haired girl stuck her nose in the air and continued to walk down the road with a small ball of fur tucked safely in her arms.

Talica watched as the girl, the monk, and the girl that looked to be a demon slayer walked off leaving the silver haired boy alone.

"Who needs `em?" The boy said to himself.

Talica studied the boy and noticed the ears that adorned his head. `He must be a demon.' She thought to herself as she leant forward causing the branch to crack slightly.

InuYasha grabbed his sword sensing someone watching him, "Whose there?" he yelled to his surroundings.

Talica eeped as she the branch broke under her and she landed upon the dog-demon. Both demons moaned in pain. "Sorry." Talica said as she stood up. InuYasha rubbed at his back, "Ouch." He whimpered. InuYasha turned toward the girl who handed fallen on him. He immediately noticed her ears and tails and was slightly confused by her polite nature of apologizing.

"Are you a demon?"

The girl shook her head, "No, and before you ask, I don't know what I am. All I know is that I'm not demon…or human as you can see…but there is this wolf demon lord named Lord Mukajo who is after me for some reason."

InuYasha shrugged, "Maybe you're a priestess." Talica smiled, she'd never thought of that.

Talica looked at InuYasha as he sat down crossing his legs and folding his arms. He closed his eyes and dropped his head as though he were to sleep.

"Will you slumber now?" she questioned him. He shook his head, "Nah. I'm just waiting for them to return. They'll be back soon, they can't do without me."

"Might I wait with you?" she asked as she took a seat next to him and positioned herself the same as him.

He shrugged, "I suppose, but I don't see what you'd be waiting for."

Talica thought, "I guess to either be captured or saved."

InuYasha peeked one eye at her, "That's weird. What do you mean by that?"

Talica shook her head, "Oh, nothing. It's just I know Jaken is trying to get rid of me, especially now that I've mated with Sesshomaru, I smelled Koga on him, I know it, but Sesshomaru doesn't believe me. I had to leave. Koga would come for me and I know not if Sesshomaru is strong enough to defend for me."

InuYasha now stared at Talica, "WHAT? Wait…O.K…you have been with Sesshomaru…you are his mate? Jaken…Koga? Maybe you should start from the beginning." InuYasha suggested.

Talica smiled, "You seem interested, why is this?"

"I know them all. Let's just say that." InuYasha answered.

She nodded, "Alright…well…about three months ago, Sesshomaru saved me from some of Lord Mukajo's henchmen. I don't know much about my powers and couldn't fend for myself, so I turned to a human to throw them off…I have many forms that I can take on. Lord Sesshomaru saved me and I've followed him since. Then Jaken betrayed me by letting Koga…top henchmen of Lord Mukajo…take me… Jaken never did like me, claimed me to be nothing but trouble…it's must have made him beyond angry to see Sesshomaru comply at my seduction. I know he went out to find Koga and tell him where I was."

InuYasha listened intently, "I can't believe it. I never did trust that Koga and to think that Sesshomaru would rescue a human. When did he learn you weren't a human?"

"When I transformed." She answered. InuYasha nodded, "Of course." Talica stared at him, "How do you know them?"

InuYasha glanced at her, wondering if he should say. He sighed, "Well…Koga and I have met and haven't gotten alone. He is always after Kagome. And well…Sesshomaru…he's my brother."

"REALLY?" Talica asked with surprise.

InuYasha put his hands up, "Only half. You see I'm half human and Sesshomaru isn't too proud of that, seeing as he hates humans. We have a lot of sibling rivalry. We hate each other." He explained.

Talica went up close to InuYasha's face. InuYasha was a bit uncomfortable from the lack of personal space. A blush spread across his cheeks as the fox girl started to smell at his neck. InuYasha felt his heart speeding not being able to recognize the emotions flowing through him.

Talica pulled back and smiled. She kissed InuYasha on the lips, "That means we are partly related, no?"

InuYasha nodded slowly, "I guess."

Talica looked him in the eyes, "Then will you help protect me?" she questioned.

InuYasha's eyes widened, and then lowered as he smiled and nodded, "Of course." Talica smiled and hugged him, "Thank you, Yasha. Can I call you Yasha?"

InuYasha shrugged, "I guess." Talica laughed, "Great, I've been meaning to ask Sesshomaru if I could call him Sessy. What do you think he'll say?"

InuYasha laughed, "Wow. I can just imagine the look on his face as he says `Hell No.' I can't believe Sesshomaru actually mated. You never see those things coming, you know."

Talica smiled and nodded, "Yeah." She looked up at the clouds and sighed, "So…do we wait?" she asked.

InuYasha sighed, "Nah. Let's go." He suggested. Talica jumped up, "Can we go swimming. I love to swim."

InuYasha blushed, "Yeah, I guess you can swim." Talica shook her head, "No, silly, me and you together." InuYasha grew a darker red, but nodded at Talica's pout, "Sure why not." He said swallowing around the lump in his throat.

"Maybe she had drowned." Jaken tried once again to reason with his master to abort the search for the fox girl.

Sesshomaru continued to walk on, his fear forever radiating through his body. He stopped abruptly as he smelled a familiar scent. He turned behind him and growled at the wolf demon that stood before him.

Koga smirked, "Where's the fox?" he asked.

Sesshomaru growled, "I could ask you the same."

Koga frowned, "She's not with you? Then where is she?"

"You think even if I knew, I'd tell you?"

"You promised me a fox without struggle." Koga said glaring at Jaken.

Jaken jumped and coward at Sesshomaru's fierce growl and burning red eyes that turned to him, "Milord…he…is…ly…lying. You…mu…mustn't believe him." Jaken stuttered.

Koga huffed, "You owe me toad, you have just wasted my time."

"You will not lay one finger upon her." Sesshomaru threatened.

Koga smirked, "We'll see." He said before disappearing.

Sesshomaru growled as he balled his hands into a fist. "Milord?" Jaken asked him. "I'll deal with you later." Sesshomaru said as he flew into the sky after Talica.

InuYasha fought at the blush that crept across his face as he watched the fox demon swimming in the pool. He stayed at the shore hoping beyond hope the girl didn't swim up to him…seeing that she was a touchy, feely person… and notice his slight…O.K, full blown…arousal.

"Hey, why don't you swim InuYasha?" she asked as she began to come toward him. Fearing she'd notice, InuYasha pushed away from the shore and started to swim opposite her direction. She laughed as she began to chase him thinking he was playing a game.

InuYasha stopped, breathing heavily. He turned behind him and saw the girl wasn't there. He searched around the pool but could not find her.

"Gotcha." Talica yelled as she shot up from the waters and wrapped her arms around InuYasha's neck. InuYasha was frozen from the small heart attack he was having at that moment. Talica giggled and hugged InuYasha. She pushed back as her stomach came in contact with something hard.

InuYasha swallowed as the girl peered through the water and saw the dog-demon's erection. She giggled. InuYasha turned away from her beyond embarrassed. Talica smiled, "It's O.K." she said as she sunk into the waters.

Talica rose from the waters laughing hysterically, "You sure did give in quickly, Yasha." She laughed then turned to the figure that stood before them. She smiled, "Hey, Sessy. Oh, by the way, can I call you Sessy?"

Sesshomaru was wide eyed and beyond pissed. "Listen Sesshomaru, I didn't ask for her to." InuYasha explained his part. Sesshomaru growled as a red aura began to surround him.

Talica tilted her head to the side, "Why are you angry, Sessy?" Sesshomaru's eyes turned red and his fangs grew. Talica backed away remembering what happened the last time this had happened.

"You left me not knowing where you were, then I find you giving my `beloathed' brother a blow job when you know fully that you are my mate. And all you have to say for it is `can I call you Sessy?' Then you dare ask me WHY I'm angry?" he yelled to her, causing the girl to back away more.

Fearing the worst, Talica got out the waters and proceeded to run from the angered demon. With lightening speed, Sesshomaru was in front of her. She screamed and turned the other away but just as quickly Sesshomaru was before her.

Sesshomaru grabbed her by her neck and lifted her from the ground. His eyes glowed with red hatred as he tightened his grip around her neck causing the girl to chock from lack of air.

"Sesshomaru…stop! You'll kill her!" InuYasha yelled as he got out the waters and ran to them. Sesshomaru tightened his grip more. Talica opened her mouth to breathe, but she could receive no air. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as her world blurred in and out of darkness.

"SESSHOMARU!" InuYasha yelled. At his yell Sesshomaru eyes widened as he felt his mate go slack in his hand. Sesshomaru turned to normal and dropped her stepping back as she fell lifelessly to the ground.

"Talica!" InuYasha yelled as he ran to her side and checked pulse. He sighed with relief; "She's just unconscious." InuYasha glared at his brother, "You could have killed her, Sesshomaru." He whispered angrily.

Sesshomaru stared at his mate not believing he had just done that. "Ta…Talica." He said as he bent down to bring her into his arms.

InuYasha growled not wanting him to touch her, but not being able to do anything about it. "Come on, I saw a small hut on our way here." InuYasha said as he stood and headed toward the shelter he had mentioned. Sesshomaru stood with the girl in his arms and followed his younger brother to the house.

Talica moaned as she opened her eyes. The world around her was blurry. She coughed harshly and turned to the figure beside her. Her eyes widened fearfully as she sat up quickly and backed away, "Sess…Sesshomaru." She trembled.

Sesshomaru was hurt by the fear she held in her eyes toward him, "Talica, please, I'm so sorry."

InuYasha who stood in the shadows was shocked…to say the least…that his brother would apologize.

Talica turned her eyes to InuYasha. She pushed herself against the wall and stood. She slowly stepped away from Sesshomaru before running over to the safety of her newly found friend. InuYasha yelled her in his arms rubbing her back as he glared at a sad Sesshomaru. InuYasha sighed sorrowfully at his brother's pain. He couldn't believe he cared.

"Talica, Sesshomaru is sorry." He reasoned with the frightened girl. Talica pushed closer to his body not wanting to take the chance of getting hurt.

Sesshomaru looked away, "I will take my leave now; I trust you will protect her."

"Sesshomaru." InuYasha whispered as the dog-demon lord stood. Talica turned her head to watch as he left. She wanted to tell him to stay but she was terrified at what he would do if he did.

"Sesshomaru." InuYasha called to him as he pushed Talica gently aside and went after him. Sesshomaru turned to him with question. InuYasha walked up to him, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but…stay, O.K? She is your mate and you need to stay to protect her."

"Protect her? How can I protect her when she fears me? I don't want to stay her and see the terror in her eyes each time I look at her or see her run to you `dear brother' for comfort when `I' am her mate. No, I will go." He stated with a growl.

InuYasha grabbed his shirt, "Do you realize that whole statement was about you?" he growled, "This isn't about you, Sesshomaru, this is about her and her safety, O.K? Get over yourself, gain her trust back, and protect her. If you are truly her mate then stay." InuYasha stared into his brother's eyes challenging his own words.

Sesshomaru sighed and pushed InuYasha away, "Fine." He said as he looked up to the girl who stood at the door looking to him with slight joy and fear.
