Miss Them When They're Gone

 

As miasma spurted from Naraku's body, rain started to fall. She held his body to her chest, trying to stem the blood flow. Their companions surrounded them tearfully, mourning the loss of their comrade.

 

She refused to believe that he was gone. She had never loved anyone the way she had loved him, and possibly, never will again. And as she wailed her pain to the angry skies, a clawed hand touched her shoulder.

 

The girl sought comfort in the young hanyou's arms, burying herself in his red haori as she clutched the body of her beloved Shippou, and cried.
