Kag ome sat alone at the lunch table. Sango, one of her best friends, was eating lunch out of school with Miroku, another good friend. "I knew they would end up dating." She said to no one in particular.
She watched as the only hanyou, that anyone knew of, walked across the lunch room and sit at his 'designated' table. Kagome had seen Miroku talk and sit with the silver haired, dog eared, boy a couple of times in the past. They were pretty good friends. Kagome didn't understand why Inuyasha, that's his name, never sat with them, herself, Sango, and Miroku.
Koga Wolf, the wolf demon, walked with his girlfriend, Suki Fang, they were wrapped up in eachother. 'That's it!' Kagome stood up and waltzed over to Inuyasha's table. "Hi! May I sit with you?" Kagome asked sweetly. Inuyasha seemed surprised and looked around him. But he was against the wall and the girl was standing RIGHT infront of him smiling her heart out.
"Do as you will." Inuyasha said returning to his ramen, he watched her out of the corner of his eye. "Inuyasha, isn't it?" She put out her hand to shake, he looked at it cautiously and took it firmly in his own right hand. 'Strong grip....' Kagome thought.
"I'm-" She was cut off by him. "Kagome, Miroku told me." They were oblivious to the stares they were recieving. "I ought to pound him for talking about me behind my back!" Kagome threatened jokingly. "Haha, he's talked about me and I know it....unless you heard about me from other students." Inuyasha said, slightly sorrowful.
"Both!" Kagome smiled happily, not catching the sad rift in his voice. "It's because I'm hanyou." He said. "I don't know, can I trust you with a secret?" Kagome asked in a whisper. "Who am I going to tell?" Inuyasha sked sarcastically. "Miroku, but he knows already." "Go on then." He moved closer to hear her.
"You know Suki Fang?" "Who doesn't!? She dates Koga Wolf!" Inuyasha growled, not meaning to, Kagome got it though. She just smiled. "You ever notice her talking to ME, a lowly human girl?" Kagome asked. "Yea, you two talk a lot!" Inuyasha answered without thinking. 'So....you watch me?' She blushed a bit but hid it carefully, she's become good at it over the years.
"Yea, you see, that's my cousin." "That means....no way!!" "SHHH! You said you could keep this secret!" Kagome whispered fiercly. "Okay, so she's hanyou?" Inuyasha whispered. "Yep, her mom is my mom's sister!" Kagome giggled at Inuyasha's amused expression. "That's why she keeps Koga and the others from making fun f me!" Inuyasha laughed. "Secret! Pinky swear!" Inuyasha smirked but took the pinky swear.
The bell for the end of lunch rang. Kagome and Inuyasha left the cafeteria together. They were talking like long lost friends. Suki walked by and locked arms with Kagome dragging her back. Inuyasha looked dumbstruck, then, smiled and waved bye to Suki and Kagome, who were waving and smilingat him FIRST! "See ya later Inu!" Kagome called and he walked off.
"Cuz, becareful about dating him, he's cute, nice, and an all around nice guy, but he's trouble." Kagome looked confused. "Trouble?" "Yes, trouble! People do not LIKE hanyous! Koga," Suki sighed dreamily. "my Koga Woga, he excepts me and keeps it a secret." "Well, I except....er....uh....Inuyasha Washa!" Kagome snorted with laughter. Suki couldn't help it and joined in on it.
Suki caught her breathe. "That's not the point! I don't want you hurt!" Suki growled. "Who said anything about dating!?" Kagome sighed. "It'll happen, you'll see." Suki kissed Kagome on the forhead. "You two shall now be sitting with mine and Koga's group." "But! Inuyasha might not like that! He's a loner!" "Then he'll join the pack!" Suki snarled.
Kagome sighed angrily. "We'll try it, but if he doesn't like it, then, we're not going to continue!" Kagome said. Just then Koga showed up with Inuyasha, Koga's arm was around his shoulder in a friendly way, Inu looked distressed.
"I believe he know my secret." Suki said looking Inuyasha up and down. She could tell by the way he stared at her. "Jeez, Gome! Can you kee it from NO one? Sango, I understand, then, the monk-in-training, Miroku!? Now Inuyasha!" 'She knows my name....Kagome probably told her.'
"Koga, be a doll, and explain the situation to my friend, Inuyasha?" Suki said, not really asked. 'Wow! So many friends in one day!' Inuyasha thought bemused by all the attention. "Fine, Suki, my dear." Koga smiled and rubbed her, black, right wolf ear on the top of her head. A low purrish/growl emitted from her chest. 'I wonder if Inuyasha does that.' Kagome thought and became dazed with kawaii thoughts.
"Now, Inuyasha, you know very well, how pure demons and humans, most anyway, feel about hanyous." Inuyasha nodded. "By you being with Kagome-" "What do you mean 'with'?" Inuyasha asked, quirking a brow. Kagome looked away blushing. "However you take it dog boy. Anyway, by you being seen 'around' Kagome, you put yourself and her, in jeopardy. People don't like demon/human, demon/hanyou, or hanyou/human relationships." Koga said.
"You're with a-" Suki slapped a hand over Inuyasha's mouth. "Are you fucking dense!? Did you NOT hear what he said!? I can HIDE my secret better than YOU! I don't want my mate, you, or Kagome prosecuted in ANY way! You have been hurt a lot and I....have too." Suki snarled quietly.
"Yes, so now, you two, are to sit with us or us with you!" Koga finished. "But, I'm a loner!" "N-not anymore." Kagome whispered. Inuyasha smiled.
