This is my first fanfic. Please send me reviews if you like it. I do not own Inuyasha in any way. I only own the character Raena as I made her up.------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------Inuyasha was sitting under a tree by the Bone Eater's Well. He was impatiently waiting for Kagome's return. "Where the hell is she?!? She should be back by now!" he yelled into the silence of the forest as the sun began to set.

"Where is who?"a girls voice asked.

Inuyasha jumped up in dismay. "Who the the hell said that?!? Show yourself!" he yelled as he drew the Tetsusaiga.

"Alright then! You asked for it!" the girl said as she brought herself to hang upside down from a tree branch, directly behind Inuyasha.

"I thought you said you were gonna show yourself!"

"I did."

He turned around quickly to find himself face to face with the girl.

"Hi!" she said to him as she flipped down to the ground. "So who were you waiting for?"

"Uh..." he said confused.

"Never mind..." she laughed. Then she noticed his ears. She reached up and touched them. He backed away at her touch.

"Who are you?"

She paused for a moment before she answered him. " ... I am Raena. Like you, I am also a half dog demon. And what, may I ask, is your name?"
"Inuyasha. Heh, I have never met another like me before. Have you?"

"No, I haven't. You are the first."

" So why are you here?"

"I am here only because I sensed the sacred jewel shards coming from some girl about three days ago. I have been waiting for her return eversince she jumped down that well and disappeared. I must take the shards from her so I can become a full demon."

Just as the quater moon began to rise to the sky, Kagome climbed out of the well. She lifted her backpack off the ground and to her back. "I knew I shouldn't have packed my school books this time,' she thought to herself, 'My back is killing me already.' She then saw Inuyasha with his back turned to her. 'I wonder what's wrong with him? Usually he would have yelled at me as soon as I climbed out of the well for being late,' she thought as she took a step towards him.

"Stop where you are wench."
"Who said that?!? Inuyasha! Was that you?!?"
