"Get back here you filthy half breed!" Yelled a rather angry demon hunter.

"No sorry I don't like to die thank you!" Kagome yelled back as she jumped up into a tree and deeper into the forest.

A few seconds later the demon hunter ran into Inuyasha and Miroku.

"I'm so sorry lord Inuyasha and lord Miroku!" the demon hunter cried getting on his knees and bowing to the two.

Inuyasha looked down at him with a smirk and said, "Stop whining and tell us why you are so far out in my father's forest in the first place?"

"I was chasing a half breed out here because she stole from my village." He choked out.

"Really now? What kind of half demon was she if you don't mind me asking." Inuyasha asked his smirk growing bigger.

"Dog."

"Well Inuyasha I guess the northern pack was right." Miroku said as he picked up the demon hunter and set him on his feet. "Now there don't be scared, go home and be scared the next time you run into us."

The hunter ran off as if his life depended on it.

"Let's go Miroku I want to tell my dad she's here and then go on a hunt." Inuyasha said taking off into the forest with Miroku behind him.

~at the packs village~

"Hey dad that half breed the northern pack told us about is here." Inuyasha said as he walked into his parents hut.

"I take it you're going after her." Inutaisho said as he watched his son grab his sword that was just fixed. "Don't kill anything."

"I'll try!" Inuyasha said as he left.

"He won't do too much damage." Sakura said as she walked in.

"I know Hun, but he seems to get into a lot of trouble when it comes to getting things without killing them." Inutaisho said sitting down.

"This is a girl. I have a feeling he'll do fine and won't cause too much damage." Sakura smiled as she sat down next to her mate.

~with Kagome~

"One of these days I'm going to get killed…." Kagome panted as she came to a stop smelling the air. "Great I'm in the middle of some packs territory." She said in frustration.

"Yeah you are, and for me it really is a great thing." Inuyasha said with a smirk as he jumped down in front of her.

Kagome took out her sword and started growling.

"Now, now I'm not going to hurt you." Inuyasha said putting his hands in the air,

"Then what do you want?" Kagome growled lowering her sword.

"For you to be part of my dads pack." Inuyasha said putting is hands down.

"No." Kagome said putting her sword away and turning around.

"That wasn't a request." Inuyasha said as he got in front of her.

"Do I look like I care?" Kagome asked cocking her eyebrow.

Inuyasha pulled her closer bringing his mouth close to her ear saying, "I think the real question is do you want to know what happens if you don't come with me."

"Back off." Kagome stated bluntly.

Inuyasha brought his face down to her eye level. "Why should I?"

"So you don't get hurt." Kagome said never blinking.

"I highly doubt you could do anything to hurt me." Inuyasha said turning her around and pulling her into his chest.

"Let me go." Kagome said trying to be as brave as she could.

Inuyasha could tell he was going to win, she was starting to smell scared, and for some reason he didn't like it. "Don't be scared like I said I won't hurt you." He said nuzzling between her neck and shoulder.

Kagome couldn't help but relax and nod.

"Good let's go….uh what's your name?" Inuyasha said as he let her go.

"Kagome, yours?" she said as she turned around.

"Inuyasha." He said as he turned around and started walking.

~back at the village as Inuyasha and Kagome got there~

"Hey dad I'm back" Inuyasha said as he walked in with Kagome behind him.

"That's nice to know." He said looking up.

"This is Kagome." Inuyasha said motioning to her.

"Nice to meet you Kagome, I'm Sakura, Inuyasha's mom, and this is my mate, Inutaisho." Sakura said walking up and standing in front of Kagome.

Kagome looked at her for a second then smiled and bowed her head a bit saying, "Nice to meet you too."

Sakura smiled at Kagome then looked up to see Sango. "Oh hi there Sango this is Kagome, Kagome this is Sango."

"Hi." They both said.

"Sango why don't you take Kagome to the hot springs?" Sakura said with a slight smile.

"Sure come on Kagome." Sango said holding the mat to the side for her to get by.

"Ok." Kagome said walking out and fallowing her.

"So you got her to come." Inutaisho said as they left.

"It took a while but yeah." Inuyasha said sitting down.

"You weren't an ass were you?" Sakura asked.

"Kind of." Inuyasha said looking down.

"Just like your father." Sakura said shaking her head.
