“This place defiantly screams Inuyasha.” Kagome said as she sat on Inuyasha futon. They had just made it to the castle; it was amazing to say the least.

 

“How so?” Inuyasha asked as he dug threw his closet looking for something, every once in a while throwing something behind him.

 

“It's red, silver, and gold, if you haven't noticed that's you in colors.” Kagome said with a smile as he looked back at her.

 

“I suppose so.” Inuyasha said as he fell on his face in the closet.

 

“Are you sure you don't want help?” Kagome shook her head at the growl that came at her. “You do know you're being ridicules, I'm sure that if both of us lo-“

 

“Found it!” Inuyasha cheered as he stood up straight and showed Kagome a necklace with red beads on it and in the middle was a gold one. “I told you I didn't need help finding it.”

 

“Wow.” Kagome said looking at it as Inuyasha sat down in front of her.

 

“Well I guess I don't have to ask if you like it.” Inuyasha said as he held it up. “Hold up your hair.”

 

Kagome did so, and Inuyasha put it on. Do to it being so small Kagome couldn't look down at it. (Think chocker) “Thank you Inuyasha.” Kagome said with a smile as she leaned up and kissed him on the cheek.

 

“You're welcome.” Inuyasha said as he pressed his lips to hers.

 

“Inuyasha you're home!” Yelled a flying fur ball.

 

“Save me…” Inuyasha whined as he pulled away from Kagome to look at a fox demon kit.

 

“Ah isn't he cute.” Kagome said as he moved over and sat in her lap.

 

“Hi I'm Shippo.” He said as he smiled up at Kagome.

 

“I'm Kagome.” She said with a smile.

 

“So this is the lady Miroku and Sango were talking about, truthfully I knew that before I knew your name, Inuyasha doesn't let too many people in his room, and I've never seen you before.” Shippo said making himself comfortable in Kagome's lap.

 

“Shippo what have I told you about coming in my room?” Inuyasha growled as he went closer to the kits eye level.

 

“Don't.” Shippo squeaked as he ran behind Kagome, as Inuyasha chased him.

 

“Inuyasha!” Kagome yelled as she stood up grabbing Shippo away from Inuyasha, “Stop being so childish.”

 

Inuyasha snorted crossing his arms over his chest. “I told him to stay out of my room unless I let him in; we were in the middle of something.”

 

“I'm not going anywhere Inuyasha.” Kagome said with a smile. “Shippo's just a kit, like you could remember to knock when you wanted to talk to you parents.”

 

“I knew better.” Inuyasha said as he followed Kagome out of his room, as she followed Shippo.

 

“Exactly.” Kagome said with a smirk as Inuyasha fought for a come back, but failing miserably.

 

“I do believe some one just won a fight against Inuyasha.” Sakura smiled as she stopped in front of Kagome.

 

“I let her win.” Inuyasha said as he looked to the side.

 

“Sure you did.” Sakura said picking up Shippo and plopping him in Inuyasha's arms. “Kagome if you would come with me.”

 

Kagome smiled and nodded as Inuyasha dropped Shippo saying, “And what am I supposed to do, till you two are done with whatever it is you're going to do?”

 

“Entertain Shippo, talk with your brother, or you father, anyone for that matter, eat, sulk around till your mate comes back, just do something.” Sakura said as she led Kagome down the hall.

 

“She just took your mate to tell her a secret about you, huh?” Shippo said looking up at Inuyasha.

 

“Yeah she did.” Inuyasha said looking down at Shippo.

 

“We're going to go spy on them, huh?” Shippo said with a smile.

 

“Yeah we are.” Inuyasha said with a smirk and a nod.

 

“We're going to get something to eat first right?” Shippo asked as Inuyasha turned around and started walking.

 

“Yup.”

 

“And then take the short cut to the library?” Shippo said as he followed Inuyasha around the corner

 

“We've done this way too many times, huh?” Inuyasha asked as they sat down at the table.

 

“Most likely.” Shippo said as Inuyasha got them something to drink and a big bowl of rice.

“Ok we must discuss this quickly, I'm sure Inuyasha and Shippo are about halfway done with their rice.” Sakura said as they walked in the library.

 

“How many times have you done this to Inuyasha?” Kagome asked as they sat down.

 

“It's not always me, and sometime my mate and my other son Sesshomaru do things just to trick Inuyasha and make a fool of him, but too many times to count.” Sakura said with a dismissing wave of her hand. “But I thought I should tell you something.”

 

“Which would be?” Kagome asked as she raised her eyebrow.

 

“The leader or the wolves, his son, and two of his friends are coming to stay while they discuss being allies.” Sakura said.

 

“Which means?” Kagome asked looking completely confused.

 

“Well not too much to you really, I just want you to stay close to Inuyasha, make sure he doesn't do anything stupid really. You see Inuyasha and Kouga, the leader's son, aren't really the best of friends.”

 

“What you mean is they hate each other with passion.” Kagome said with a knowing smile.

 

“Exactly.” Sakura laughed.

 

“Don't worry Sakura-sama I'll keep my mate out of trouble, and I will slap him if he uses me to make Kouga jealous.” Kagome said as she and Sakura stood up.

 

“You have my permission to slap him hard and repeatedly if he does.” Sakura said with a smile as she led Kagome out of the library and in front of Inuyasha. “Ah Inuyasha, I take it I don't need to alarm you of the wolf leaders arrival.”

 

“When are they getting here?” Inuyasha asked in a low growl that made Shippo run and jump in Kagome's arms.

 

“Tonight at sunset; which shouldn't be too long.” Sakura said taking Shippo, when she saw Kagome's face drop slightly she said before walking off, “I'll give Shippo a bath then send him to you.”

 

Inuyasha noticed this too and smiled, Kagome had taking a liking to Shippo, and he knew she would. Truthfully he liked the kit too, no matter how much it didn't show. “Come on mate I need to talk to my father.”

 

“Inuyasha you're not going to complain about Kouga are you?” Kagome asked as they walked farther down the hall.

 

“I just want to make some things clear.” Inuyasha said as he walked into a room. “Father I need to talk to you.”

 

Inutaisho looked as Kagome and asked, “He knows about Kouga, huh?”

 

“Afraid so.” Kagome said as she took a seat next to Inuyasha.

 

“I just want to make some things clear.” Inuyasha said, but before he went on Inutaisho spoke up.

 

“Kouga is not to flirt with Kagome, or look and or touch her in any way that would get Miroku slapped, and to add something I'm sure you over heard, Kagome will slap you if you use her to hold over Kouga's head, not to mention I'm sure Kagome would stay in Shippo's room for the night if you did.”

 

Inuyasha opened his mouth before closing it, and then opening it then closing it.

 

“Inuyasha you look like a fish.” Kagome giggled quietly.

 

Inuyasha then said, “I guess that covers it, but even if I do use Kagome to hold over Kouga's head she'll be staying in my room countless.” Inuyasha said, but when Kagome growled quickly added, “Not that I will.”
