"Kagome I'm afraid its time"

"No please don't, please" responded a sobbing young 12 year-old girl to a brown hair boy about her age.

It was time for war and two long time friends were saying their last goodbyes. This kids however were more than friends, they were meant to marry when they reach of age. The young kids hugged and departed…

Kagome awoke from her dream, no nightmare that had been recently haunting her this past week. It had been three years since she had seemed him, but there was hope that he was still alive. At least to her there was. She remembered that boy, Houjo, very well, he was the kindest sweetest person she had ever known. He had gone off to war like all the other young man in the village. Her dad had arranged the mirage shortly before he died. Her father was the former leader of the tribe so her family was wealthy. The two to-be-wed became good friends.

Caught in her thoughts she didn't her the warning bell that was a signal of Youkai attack on the small shrine village. Suddenly her younger brother came running into her room.

"Kagome, hurry we under attack"

AN: I know I don't really like the idea of Houjo and Kagome that close, but I couldn't think of someone to be that character except him. Anyway I thought of a few Idea for a theme song for this fanfic, one is "Only One" by Yellowcard. Please R&R
