Past to Present

 

Summery: After Kagome runs away, InuYasha stays, and defeats Naraku. 500 years have passed, and the hanyou has stayed alive, lived threw the great war, fought in it, and won. He has found the one he loves, and won't let her get away this time. Holding the jewel with him, InuYasha will try everything to get Kagome to open up again, and when he does, he might be sucked into the void in that is Kagome's heart. Will he save her, or will he die trying.

~*~*~ Ch. 2 Final Battle ~*~*~

 

InuYasha stood up, and jumped out of the well, his eyes still red from crying. Shippou came out, his voice cutting threw the hanyou's thoughts.

 

“INUYASHA! NARAKU'S HERE!” the kawaii kitsune shivered, and clung to the hanyou's pant leg. (Kawaii -cute)

 

“Who cares. It's not like it matters any more. Kagome's gone.” the inu hanyou shivered, and clutched his arms, tears threatening to spill from his eyes again. Shippou cried out, and bit into InuYasha's thigh.

 

“If we don't kill him! He could terrorize okaa-san's time!” InuYasha growled, and jumped away, Tetsusiga clung tightly in his claws. (Okaa-san - mother)

 

“NARAKU!” he bellowed. The said basterd turned and laughed evilly.

 

“HA-HA-HA! YOU WILL DIE NOW HANYOU! YOUR PITIFUL SWORD CAN NOT MATCH MY POWER! I WILL DEFEAT YOU AND THEN KILL YOUR PRECIOUS MIKO!” InuYasha snarled, and launched himself at Naraku, his sword glowing a crimson color.

 

A purplish black barrier appeared around Naraku, as InuYasha slammed his Red Tetsusiga down. The shield rippled, then started to fade. But just as Tetsusiga broke threw, another barrier was erected, keeping the hanyou out, and away from his dangerous sword.

 

Sango yelled, and let her hiraikotsou(sp?) go and it slammed and tore threw the youkai that had appeared. Miroku unleashed his Kazanna but almost instantly put the prayer beads back on. (Hiraikotsou - flying bone; kazanna - wind void/tunnel)

 

“Damn insects!” he cursed. The poisonous insects, or saimyoushou had appeared out of no where, and were keeping the young monk from sucking up the youkai. Shippou growled, and slashed at a few of the weaker youkai. Thanks to InuYasha, the kitsune had learned how to fight, and be able to keep himself from dying, when no one else could protect him.

 

A sacred arrow whizzed threw the clearing, and lodged itself in Naraku's barrier. The barrier started to falter, but still held strong.

 

InuYasha landed softly on the ground, hoping against all hope, that his Kagome had returned to him, but there stood the last person he wanted to see.

 

Kikyou stood, her bow held firmly in her pale hands. Her porcelain face set in a deep scowl.

 

“How dare you Naraku! You shall die!” she cried, launching another purifying shaft at the damned youkai. Another few scents assaulted InuYasha's sensitive nose. Two scents he hated, but in reality, glad that they had come.

 

Sesshoumaru, the great inu taiyoukai from the west, came out on his yokai cloud, and landed softly, his right arm fully grown, Tokijin tightly in his new hand. (Inu - dog; taiyoukai - demon of great power; youki - demon enerygy)

 

Kouga, ookami prince of the east, jumped behind to stoic youkai, and flexed his claws. (Ookami - wolf)

 

“Lets kick some ass! GINTA! HAKKAKU! CALL THE PACK! IT ENDS HERE NOW!” Kouga growled out, his eyes flashing crimson.

 

Sesshoumaru snarled, his emotionless face gone, leaving his blood eyes, and pissed attitude. “Jaken! Call the armies! We end this now!” Jaken nodded, and slammed the staff of two heads into the ground, and thousands of inu youkai came crashing out of the forest around the well.

 

The two ookami youkai nodded, and howled a calling note. Hundreds of ookami youkai came out of the forest, after the inu's and stood, ready to battle to the death.

 

“KOUGA! SESSHOUMARU! LET'S KICK SOME ASS!” InuYasha called, a deadly smirk crossed his face. His head snapped towards Naraku, who had started to laugh manically, his cackle sending dark shivers threw the youkai, ningen, and hanyou's backs. (Ningen - human)

 

“As if any of you could kill me! I am all powerful! I have only three jewel shards left! Now hand them over wolf!” the dark hanyou snarled. Kouga growled, and pointed his spear, which Ginta hand handed him, towards the basterd.

 

“ATTACK!” he cried, and this ookami armies ran forward, clawing, spearing, and killing the millions of youkai that had appeared out of no where. Naraku's cackle grew louder.

 

“As if that puny army could hurt me!”

 

“ATTACK!” a cold, and heartless voice called. Sesshoumaru snarled, and pointed his Tokijin towards Naraku, and his inu army slammed forward.

 

“LORD SESSHOUMARU!” a cold voice called. The youkai turned to spy an ice wielding panther youkai. Her long blue hair hung loosely around her head, and her icy blue eyes glowed in the soft light of the setting sun.

 

“Tauron. How nice to see you. Come to join the party?” Sesshoumaru droned, his voice back to it's cold exterior. The panther hissed, and covered her sensitive nose.

 

“What is that stench.” she growled out.

“ENOUGH SMALL TALK! LETS FIGHT!” a red headed youkai cried. Kauron stepped next to her sister, and hissed.

 

“Yes! Let's defeat that basterd,” the thunder giant, Shuron, said, his large voice booming.

 

“I agree. He will pay for defying our lands!” Shonron snarled, her Sakura petals flowing around her body. (Sakura - cherry blossom)

 

“PANTHER ARMY! ATTACK AND KILL ANY YOUKAI THAT IS NOT PART OF KOUGA OR SESSHOUMARU'S ARMY! DESTROY THEM ALL!” Tauron cried, her voice ringing throughout the forest and clearing. Snarls, hisses, howls, barks, pained cries were heard.

 

A dark miasma filtered from Naraku's barrier, killing hundreds of his own, and his opponents youkai. His cackle rang threw the warriors thoughts.

 

“HIRAIKOTSU!” Sango bellowed, her bone boomerang slicing a few youkai in half.

 

“KAZE NO KIZU!” InuYasha snarled, his wind attack killing hundreds of youkai in his path. But it hardly made a dent. With the youkai Naraku had consumed, he had an almost endless supply at his disposal. (Kaze no Kizu - Wind Scar)

 

“BAKURYUUHA!” InuYasha slashed and tore at the youkai, hardly making a dent with his killer tornado's. (Bakuryuuha - Backlash wave)

 

“NARAKU! YOU BASTERD!” Kouga snarled, his fangs shining in the darkness.

 

“DANCE OF THE DRAGON!” a cold voice screamed. She waved her ogi, and hundreds of deadly tornado's appeared. They hacked, and tore apart the ookami, inu, and panther youkai that had assembled. (Ogi - fan)

 

~*~*~*~

 

“OKAA-SAN!” Kagome cried, launching herself in her mothers arms.

 

“Kagome? What happened? What did InuYasha do this time?” the elder onna asked, fear in her soft voice. Kagome looked up at her mother, and sniffed loudly.

 

“I left him, so he could go to Kikyou kaa-sama!” (Kaa-sama - shortened version of okaa-san (mother)

 

“You did what? Oh honey! Don't kyo! You will find another to love. What about Naraku?” (Kyo - cry)

 

“InuYasha and Kikyou can handle it. ::sniff:: They don't need me. I'd just get in the way. Like always.” large, hot tears streamed down Kagome's pale cheeks. She snuggled deeper into her mothers chest, and continued to cry.

 

Mrs. Higurashi sighed, and hugged her daughter, while walking over to the couch. She seated herself and brought Kagome next to her.

 

Hours passed, and Kagome finally fell asleep, after telling her story to her mother, while crying.

`I hope you didn't make a mistake honey. You wouldn't want to find out that InuYasha and his group died trying to kill Naraku.' a single tear fell from Izumi's(A/n: That's what I'm gonna call Mrs. Higurashi. Just so you know!) left eye.

 

~*~*~*~ 5 hours from the start of the final battle ~*~*~*~

 

Kouga clutched his stomach. His eyes shut as darkness took over his dying body. He fell limp against the ground, near Naraku's mangled flesh of the last tentacle he had just slashed. Another single tentacle left the ookami's flesh as a maniacal cackle was heard throughout all of Sengoku Jidai. InuYasha snarled, and unleashed his Kaze no Kizu again. That basterd of a wolf might have been annoying, but he was a good allay. The hanyou clutched the hilt of Tetsusiga. His knuckles white from the strength they held and were putting on to hold the sword in place. His eyes flashed red, his youkai desperately trying to get out to tear the flesh of anything that got in his path. (Sengoku Jidai - Feudal Japan)

 

Sesshoumaru continued to use his Tokijin to attack and destroy the youkai that finally seamed to be coming less and less.

 

Tauron and her siblings fought, snarled and, slashed at the fleeting youkai.

 

“GO! FIGHT ON! WE ARE WINNING!” the fire wielder announced, her flames surrounding her body beautifully.

 

“Kauron! The panthers are becoming weak! We need reinforcements!” Shuron, the thunder king, called, unleashing another thunder attack.

 

“REINFORCEMENTS ANYONE?” Royokan, the forest protector, called, thousands of different youkai, and hanyou's behind him, all ready to kill.

 

“ATTACK! MY BAT BRETHREN!” a albino hanyou called. Her purple eyes shining brightly in the against the black miasma.

 

“SHIORI?!” InuYasha growled, his amber eyes full of hope.

 

“HAI INUYASHA! WE ARE HERE TO DEFEAT THE YOUKAI YOU ARE BATTLING!” the bat hanyou called, waving her hand in front of her, “SLAUGHTER ANY THAT ARE NOT OF OUR FRIENDS!”

 

Kikyou's body fell, her clay parts spread around her. Her dead eyes staring wide eyed at InuYasha.

 

“KIKYOU!” he called, his body going on over drive. Even though he did not love her, she was the only one, besides his mother, who partially accepted him for his demon blood. His eyes flashed again, and he clutched his Tetsusiga harshly. Miroku's voice cutting threw the hanyou's deadly thoughts.

 

“INUYASHA! UNLEASH THE KOUGOUSOUHA!(A/n: Read the bottom author note to find out what it is!) WE NEED THE KOUGOUSOUHA!” Miroku called, clutching his shoulder tightly. His body loomed over Sango's unconscious form, while Kirara stood next to her mistress, clawing, and slashing at any youkai that came to close. (Kougoushouha - diamond spear blast)

 

InuYasha smirked, and rushed at Naraku's barrier. His Tetsusiga turning a blood red color. He slammed the blade down on the purple barrier, and he smirked as the shield shattered, and fell to the ground.

“KOUGOUSOUHA!!” InuYasha snarled, millions of diamond shards flew from Tetsusiga's blade, and covered the evil hanyou, slowly disintegrate him. He let out a loud, and piercing cry, before completely disappearing. InuYasha fell onto his knee's, his breath coming out in heavy pants, and his body battered, and beaten.

 

“InuYasha!” Miroku said, his gauntlet free from the prayer beads. He pointed his right hand at the hanyou, and InuYasha saw a small black dot disappear before his eyes. His gave a soft smile, before losing consciousness.

 

Sesshoumaru watched as his little brother fainted from the heavy exertion the battle. He, himself, was very tired. His body was near breakdown, and his breath came in heavy pants. The taiyoukai looked out, and around the battle field. Only a few of his youkai army were alive. The ookami youkai army wasn't looking too good either. Their leader, Kouga, had died, protecting InuYasha. Hakkaku had died protecting Kouga, and Ginta had died protecting Sesshoumaru, who hadn't notice the large raion youkai who had snuck up on him. Kagura was finally free, and Kanna had died protecting Naraku from InuYasha's Bakuryuuha. Miroku, Sango, Shippou, and Kirara were all fine, a few broken bones, and torn flesh, but those would heal in time. Kohaku was back with Sango and alive, thanks to Sesshoumaru's Tensaiga. The whole Shikon jewel clutched tightly in InuYasha's hand. (Raion - lion)

 

Sesshoumaru looked at the panther tribe. There warriors shortened, the thunder and earth wielders dead. He shook his head, and walked over to his little brother. Rasing Tensaiga over his head, the Lord of the Western Lands sliced threw InuYasha's torn and tattered, but alive, body. He glowed a soft blue. When the light faded, the silver-haired hanyou leaned up, and looked at his brother, deep admiration in his amber orbs.

 

“Arigato Sesshoumaru. But I would have healed on my own!” the hanyou said with a grunt as he stood up. (Arigato - thanx)

 

“Daitoshimashite, little brother.” Sesshoumaru answered, his voice soft and caring. (Daitoshimashite - your welcome)

 

“Well, got to see if everyone is okay. Ja ne!” Sesshoumaru nodded, scooping up a ko-ed Jaken. His yokai wrapped around his feet, and he took off to the sky. (Ja ne - later)

Diamond spear blast or;Kougousouha: New attack for Tetsusiga; a diamond shard gun learned after killing Housenki. It is capable of breaking Naraku's new barrier.

 

Housenki: Friend to InuYasha's father and creator of the black pearl located in InuYasha's right eye. The black pearl lead to InuYasha's father's tomb in episode 6. He died and became a part of InuYasha's father's skeleton in the dead realm. Made up completely of diamonds.
