I look up at the clear night sky,

the stars that twinkle,

and the moon that glows.

No sound,

but the serenade of crickets.

All seems at peace.

Why can't it be so?

Not too far away,

battles surely wage.

I sigh,

and turn on my side.

For when the sun lights the sky,

our own will continue.

But for now there is calm,

there is quiet.

For now,

it is this I shall bask in.

This treasure of the peaceful night,

so needed in these times.

It is in this that I find my comfort.

This quiet time of musing...

and the lovely view of Lady Sango,

in the position she has chosen for sleep this night.
