CHAPTER 1 The Silver Haired Hanyou

Kagome stood satring into the sunset, her long silky black hair flowing in the wind. The branches sheding their last flower blossums before the summer ahead. She watched as the suns colors reflected off of the water.
She watched as some little kids played soccer on the street. she smiled as she watch them.
"M'lady, your evening gown is ready now." her servant said laying the gown on the bed.
"thank you Adrianna." kagome said and walked off the balcony and into her room.
Once she was done putting the gown on, she walked downstairs and waited for her father to come down. She walked out to the balcony on the first level and looked into the starry sky and sighed.
"I cant believe that its almost up..."she said to herself.
"what is almost up my dear?" her father asked as he joined her.
"my freedom. i have only a year left now till i am seventeen, the rightful age to become a priestess. i have not much longer to enjoy myself and act as i wish. once seventeen, i will have to give up how i do things and adapt to how things have been done for the past 300 years." she replied.
Her father looked at her with sorrow, knowing that she was right. once seventeen she became head of Hong Kong, and then she would smile less often, and her cheery attitude would disapear.
"i know and i am sorry for that.'' he said in a reply that held the deepest sorrow.
"father there is nothing that you can do to stop it." she smiled at him.
Suddenly, a cannon ball came out of no where, knocking down a nearby building. Kagome looked into the distance and saw a ship with a black flag that signaled that they were pirates.
"Kagome go down to the cellar and stay there till i come get you." her father said.
"no, i will stay with you. i am not losing you like i lost mom." she said looking at him, her voice stern.
Her father studied her expression, and then sighed. Another cannonball hit.
"they will be---"
"they are here sir! they are on their way up the hill as we speak!" one of the guards interupted.
"GO now my dear before they see you!"
The guard that had told them about the pirates fell to his knees. Kagome looked over and behind the guards corpse was a silver haired pirate with a dirty grin on his face as he looked down upon the dead guard. The pirate looked up at kagome and for a moment their eyes met, and the the pirate looked out the door as more came in.
"should we kill em cap'ain?" one said raising his gun and pointing it at kagome.
The silver haired pirate came closer and circled around kagome. as he did so, she noticed that he was a demon judging by the dog ears.
finally he said, "kill em but leave her." and walked out the door.
