Please Someone…
Ch. 2 Savior

His days training started out normally enough. The water was calm and the lights from the surface were bright. Sesshoumaru, The prince of the not so lost city of Atlantis, drifted about after both his physical and political training was finished. It was dark out but the water down below on the ocean floor was still warm.

He could see many sea creatures floating around in either sleep or in search for food. He looked to the surface and saw a ship pass by. He decided for the fun of it to follow it for a bit. About ten yards he noticed it flared up. He realized it was going to sink.

`Well I guess the scavenger team will have some work to do.' With that thought he was going to swim away when he heard a voice in his head. `Please someone… Please help me. P-Please anyone I don't want to die like this.' He looked around. There was no one near him. He looked back up and saw a speed drive away. He swam up to the surface and saw the ship it was sinking fast, five more feet and he could have seen the deck.

He was about to go back when he heard it again. `Please anyone.' The voice sounded female and he realized it was coming from the deck of the ship. He looked up to the deck and his curiosity got the better of him. He climbed onto the deck being careful to look around first.

What he saw when he got up there surprised him. It was a young woman. She was unconscious and looked pretty battered. But that wasn't what really surprised him. It was the immense power emitting from her. Her scent was pure and wonderful. Her aura pulsated around her and she seemed to glow in purity and sadness.

The ship was still sinking and he made a radical choice. Sesshoumaru quickly chanted a spell while slicing his palm open. He let several drops of blood fall into one of her many open wounds. The spell would allow her to breathe under water and allow her human body to take the under water pressure. The blood he gave her quickly helped heal all of her wounds along with her broken bones.

He gathered her into his arms and jumped into the freezing surface water. Sesshoumaru hurriedly swam down and away from the wreckage as fast as he could with his light bundle. He finally slowed down when he saw the city off into the distance. He stopped and looked down.

Sesshoumaru wondered to himself why he was doing this, and what his father would say to him when he brought a ningen to the demon city. Sure there was a ningen here and there from special occasions but those were different. No wait the power she emitted maybe in exchange for saving her life she could help us with the uprising. Yes that's what he can tell father.

Anyway it would be a great sin not to save something so pure and powerful. He was glad it was night as he swam threw the city streets. The palace soon came into view and he quickly slipped in without anyone noticing. Sesshoumaru quickly went up to his balcony and stepped in.

He went to the hall and placed her in the room two doors down from his own as he went to find his father. His father was usually up late working into the morning. Sesshoumaru found King Sugumi InuTaisho signing some documents. He slowly walked in and sat down to wait for his father to finish with his current paper.

“Son. What do you need?” He said warmly as he eyed his eldest son.

“Father I was out this evening and I saw a sinking ship. While I was about to leave someone called out to me telepathically. I went to the surface and saw the ship burning but I couldn't see anything. I was about to leave when I heard it again. I realized it was coming from the deck of the ship so I decided to investigate. When I got to there I saw a young woman. She was unconscious and beaten up. But what drew my attention to her was the power and purity radiating from her. So I saved her. I thought maybe she could help with the uprising”

Sugumi was silent and thought about what his son had told him. It was true about the power for he had sensed her as soon as she had entered the palace but he had not been worried for he sensed Sesshoumaru with it.

“Sesshoumaru I have decided to let you keep her. But she will be your responsibility. I didn't really expect for you to do this, now Inuyasha that's a different matter. Anyways keep her safe and I would like to meet her when she wakes up. Now off with you.”

Sesshoumaru left quickly happy that he had gotten his way when he heard a scream. He was off racing toward the scream when he noticed it was from the room the room he had placed Kagome in. He barged in with his father at his side and looked at her. She was radiating an aura of fear and confusion.

~*~

Kagome had been having a pleasant dream before she woke up. She was surprised to see that she didn't hurt anymore. She looked up around her and got worried She was still alive she knew that now but where was she? She screamed in worry and fright when she noticed and felt that she was underwater.

Suddenly the door burst open and two males that looked similar to one another stepped in. She was scared and confused. What was going on what was she doing under water? How had she survived? Finally it all got to her and her power rose to an unbelievable level as she started crying.

Could the Fates be any meaner to her? Haruko cheated on her, the ship she was on got robbed and burned, she was about to die, and now she was here and seriously confused.

Sugumi watched the young girl as she looked at him and his son then her power increased tenfold and she started crying. Her aura was pulsating and she probably didn't know what was happening to her. He sympathized her. He swam over to her and pulled her into a light embrace.

She clung to Sugumi's shirt and cried into her shoulder. She soon stopped and started to lightly hiccup, and backed away from his embrace.

Sesshoumaru watched as his father calmed the girl. She soon calmed and started to lightly hiccup. It was quite cut though. She pulled away and looked out at her surroundings then faced Sesshoumaru. She looked away after a moment then looked at the person who had comforted her.

“Gomen, But who are you and how am I alive?” She said quietly. Kagome felt odd. She really wanted answers but she didn't want to seem rude but she really wanted to know.

“I am King Sugumi InuTaisho and my son Sesshoumaru saved you from your sinking ship. Now who are you?” He lightly gestured to Sesshoumaru when he mentioned his name. He talked in a soothing voice so as not to frighten her or upset her more.

“Thank you for saving me Sesshoumaru. My name is Kagome.” She replied in a small voice.
