Infinite Silence

Today is the day that I tell you my secret,

I have kept it inside for far to long.

It has eaten away at what frail sanity

But know that no matter, I love you for you.

 

The end is near, I feel it ever closer

It sits on the horizon waiting; watching.

Never have I known true fear till this day

However, with you hear I know I can face it

 

Dark and daunting is the way of this path

But you are my light and with you shall I pass.

This task, granted to me by the gods

Is one that I shall face on my own.

 

But know that no matter I love you for you.

You stand there and stare, with hate on your face,

You look at me with disgust for humanity.

 

With awe inspiring movements you leap into the sky.

And with you, you take what was left of my heart.

You see I have loved you, from the day I first saw you

And I continue to do so till my dying day.

 

That is why I must go this alone.

For that is what the kami's asked of me.

Love unrequited, hate unreturned

Life is a mystery that I shall never understand.

 

As life goes, I know that you look

To see if I'm still there, and then realize I'm not.

I gave you my heart, and you took it away.

But one thing I have is my purity.
