"…There's something you don't really know about her, but I don't know if I should say it." Tavien whispered when he noticed the room had been silenced when Zoë left the room. "Maybe you should think about what she said, 'in her time'. Ever thought why she isn't back there..?" He had struck the point; a seven year old boy somehow comprehended the situation, although it was clear that he proved to be a useful one in the near future.

Sesshoumaru looked at Tavien and started to think, even thought he was still angry at her words. He never let his feelings rule.

"Tell me what you know, Pup. I have to understand what I am dealing with before I make my decision." Sesshoumaru said with no emotion in his voice.

Tavien opened his mouth, but no words came through. He still hesitated to explain on behalf of Zoë's unspoken situation. He shut his mouth close and struggled with himself until he finally gave up. He figured it would at least benefit's Zoë's situation of living here and teach Rin at the same time, when he is going to be trained by the demon lord.

He lifted his chin up, although there were worries in his eyes, something he knew that the demon lord did not know. "My ma, Zoë, before she moved here about four months ago, she wasn't from another 'region', she came from another world, in another time, which I would probably say the future time, from the way she was dressed." He lowered his voice slightly, although his voice was still heard out, "There was a big war going on at her planet, and it has been going on for days, her race's enemy had threatened to wipe out their race if the leader of the enemy never get his hand on my ma and get the power from her father, all of the powers they possessed."

"Her father refused, in which started the whole war. Ma wanted to give herself in, to save her family and friends, but her mother forced her to leave…" He looked down at his plate, "It is believed that ma is still tracked down by the very same enemy, the one who is still looking for her." He looked up, straight into the demon lord's eyes, "I don't know if you know this, but the Makai are a group of hell demons."

Sesshoumaru listened to the story, and understood Zoë's pain, losing everything must have been ruff for her. But that still excuse her talking the way she did.

"I understand her problem. But that still does not excuse the way she talks. She has no self control or limitations. If she is to live in this time, she must learn some." He said to Tavien. "Go and tell her she will teach Rin. But I do not want to hear her teaching Rin the wrong ideas. Before she starts to teach Rin, I want her to know our culture and traditions. The maids will show her to the library. There she will find the scrolls she needs." He finished and started to eat his rabbit stew.

Rin had already finished hers, she always ate what he ate, when there where others present so as not to arause suspitions as to his weakness. Sesshoumaru looked at Rin and gave in. "You may go."

"Thank you Sesshoumaru_Sama. " She said with great joy, pushing her chair way from the table, and running out of the room, calling for Tavien to follow her.

Before Tavien could run after RIn when he left the chair immediately, he turned to look at the demon lord with a soft expression on his face, "Please don't be too hard on ma. She had grown up to defy all authorities and her father did nothing about it-he was just proud. Her mother had been harsh on her-almost never gave her any chance to show what she's capable of."

He was nearing the door after Rin, and he planted one hand on the border of the door, "She has pride too, you know." He quickly ran out of the room after Rin who had already left in haste.

Meanwhile, Zoë was back to where she first got into, the garden, now among under the large trees, with her knees propped against her chest. She rested her chin upon her knees as she forcefully wiped the silent tears away from her face and let out a sigh as to try to calm herself down. Maybe it was true, there was nothing she can be capable that would be considered at least 'normal'.

Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes at the two children, and just kept eating, as he realized the maid was still cleaning up the mess.

Rin and Tavien ran throught the castle halls. Finally they came to the garden. Rin spotted Zoe and ran to her.

"He was playing with you. He wanted to see how you would react. He does that, to see how far he can push people under him. He likes to know who he has working for him. Please try to understand him. He is a Lord, he has had a ruff life too. It has not been easy form him, and it has made him grow a cold wall around his feelings. But I know he is good inside."

"He has lost everyone he cares for too, and he has had people betray him. People he thought where friends."

She said looking at Zoë. "You both have a lot in common. I think that's why you fight so much. You are both very egotistical." She said giving Zoë one of her angelic smiles.

Zoë blinked, her head jerked upright when she heard Rin's blunt comment and she arched her left eyebrow. "Egotistical? A big word coming from a little girl, you must be very intelligent to be able to comprehend all this." She smiled faintly and she stood up, with her tears already dried up before the children even came by.

She turned to find her son standing by Rin and he spoke up, "Lord Sesshoumaru said that you can study about the culture and stuff like that in the library…" He stood with both hands clasped together behind him as Zoë shook her head, and he looked on surprise. "I don't have to, I've already studied about all that in previous months…and I still have other things to study about as well." Of course, even before the war ever started, Zoë had continued to study the general subjects, especially the main one she focused as Art, Martial Art and a few other things she soon became interested in.

She looked up to find the day already darkened and it indicated that it was near bedtime. So soon? She was surprised to find the day paced quickly by, and she turned down to glance at the children, "Well, perhaps tomorrow, we can begin the session. Where would you like to begin your learning, Rin? You have the choice to pick any place to study. Of course, Tavien, you're going to be educated as well, can't have you learning all about fight and nothing else."

Rin had smiled angelic like when Zoë said she was smart, she just listened to the rest of it. When she heard that she could pick where to study she grinned happily. "Hmmm...Rin don't know where to start... Rin was learning to write properly with her old teacher." She said happily.

Sesshoumaru in the mean time had finished his dinner, having been left alone. He got up and went to his study, the words of Tavien still ringing in his ears. He went to his window and saw the two youngsters talking with Zoë. A twinge of jealousy hit him, but he controlled his feelings. But he couldn't help but think that maybe Rin was going to enjoy her time with Zoë more.

Thought part of him knew the thought was foolish. It could not be helped. He continued watching through the window at the three, with a little sadness in his eyes.

Zoë arched her left eyebrows at Rin when she spoke of what she had just learned, "Well…mmm…we can begin with writing, however, and you will learn something more along the way. Not only will you learn how to write, but you will learn how to write short stories. Perhaps that could be a great start, especially for you, Tavien." She received a raspberry tongue from her son whom she had lightly flicked his forehead as he laughed.

Just as she was about to speak some more, out of the corner of her eyes, something had caught her attention. She turned her face side-way subtly and looked up to find him standing by the window. The look on his face, more precisely, his eyes, had grabbed her attention. What is he thinking now? She had no idea, but she recalled what had Rin told her which had opened up her eyes. Maybe he wasn't so arrogant, perhaps Rin is right.

Without a warning, lifted her chin and didn't realize she was giving a reassuring smile until she caught herself. She turned her face away back to the children who looked on with suspicious look. She blinked and let out a fake laughter, "Well, heh. Sorry, birds caught my attention." She scratched behind her head with a light grin, until she calmed herself, "Anyways, Rin, Tavien, pick which room you want to begin your session. It will not be I, to choose, I believe that it's always easy to learn when you're in a place that you're most comfortable with."

Sesshoumaru saw the smile on Zoe's face after she looked up, and quickly turned and went to his desk. Rin laughed at Zoë's words. "I know which room. There's one that is soo pretty. Lady Zoe will love it. It is where Lord Sesshoumaru got his teachings when he was a pup. He showed to me once," she said happily.

It was then that Sesshoumaru came out of the castle halls. He had come out of his study soon after he had seen the smile from Zoe. "You can show her the room tomorrow. It is time for you to retire for the night." He said coldly. Not looking at Zoë. Realizing that she must have seen his little show up there, now he was too shamed to look at her.

Rin turned when she heard Sesshoumaru's voice. Getting up and running to his side. "Yes Sesshoumaru-Sama. Good Night Lady Zoë. Good Night Tavien." She said bowing to them.

"Then go...I will be there shortly. Tavien you should go with Rin to your room as well." He said as Rin hurried to her room.

However, Tavien did not hastily leave after Rin, he made his way toward Zoë whom she had already gotten on her knees. She gave him a kiss on his forehead in which he returned by hugging her tightly, "Night, ma. Good night, Lord Sesshoumaru." He gave the demon lord a small bow before he ran off after Rin, as he shouted, "Wait for me, Rin!"

Rin stopped and waited for Tavien, then she led him to his room, and he nodded thanks to her. After that she went to hers, falling asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

Zoë remained in her place after a while she watched Tavien run off into the castle until silence itself reminded her that she was now alone with the demon lord. With a sigh, she stood up with little effort due to the fact that she had just experienced another shot of pain, not to the extreme thank god, but mild for she ignored them as much as she can.

Tavien ran straight into the castle and followed after Rin who waited for him and was led to the room. As soon as he entered his room, he walked around the room, his eyes widened with interest. He had taken his time to inspect the room with wonder until he felt his eyes drooping and knew he must go to sleep immediately if he was to get up and be prepared to learn something new the next day. He took his shoes off and found new pajamas next to the bed and he took off his clothes, exchanged it for his pajamas.

He crawled onto the bed, which, like all other rooms, was covered in pillows, which was made to be comfortable for every guests of the castle. He let out a soft yawn and he soon fell asleep.

She now was watching the demon lord in silence, her eyes were directed to his for the first time, and knew she could read them there, for some strange reason. She mentally smacked herself for not taking herself to inspect one another before judging them critically. Now she stood corrected when Rin had told her about him. "I'm sorry for what I said, but at least I was speaking the truth."

Sesshoumaru stared down at Zoë when she said she was sorry, kind off. "Your version of an apology is interesting, to say the least. You should get to sleep as well, we wake early around here." He said in his normal emotionless voice. His eyes still showed some sadness, but not much. Most of it was loneliness. But of course any emotion he was feeling, he was tightly controlling, seeing though the cold mask, was impossible.

What she saw in his eyes, she was taken aback from what she just witnessed. Now she knew she was terribly wrong when she viewed him as the arrogant type, well a part of him was, but there was the big secret behind the tough look. It had taken her to realize that she let the minutes passed by and she felt the atmosphere growing tensed. She cleared her throat as she lifted her chin, "So, what were you going to teach Tavien?" She spoke gently, somewhat unsure if she should tell him what she saw. Perhaps now wasn't the time, she mused, having somewhat of a struggle between those decisions.

Sesshoumaru looked down at Zoë, not sure what the look on her face meant. "I will teach him to be a dog demon of course. That includes the traditions, and the way to fight. A good Dog demon must be able to protect his mate. That is elemental." He said turning around, his silver hair flying in the soft breeze of the garden. "Do not worry about your pup. I will not teach him anything wrong." Sesshoumaru said walking away, his powerful control perfectly in place.

Zoë tilted her head ingeniously with a soft smile, remembering the tradition she had back in her homeland. The truth is, her crush on the demon lord was growing, although she didn't like the idea of it, but it can't be helped that easily. There was nothing she can do, and so, she decided to just go with the flow; after all, she was the risk-taker. Just as he turned, she followed after silently until she spoke up, "Wait."

Sesshouamru halted his walk with perfect movement, and turned to look at Zoë. Using his hand to get his silver hair behind his ear, he looked at Zoë, with the look of curiosity in his face.

"Did you need something else?" He asked, again not being able to tell what the expression in her face was, he controlled his demon perfectly, but his tail's tip started to sway a little behind him. Zoë made her way closer to him, although she had noticed that his tail was swaying. She began to wonder what it meant, lately, she had noticed his tail twitched slightly the first time she met him and now, it was doing it again. Her eyes were adverted from his tail and she gazed at him with the same smile. "It is also a tradition for a lady like me to say a good-night to a lord."

Without warning, she stood up on her toes and leaned forward to plant a genuine, but a simple kiss on his cheek. She had lingered there for a few moment until she pulled back with a grin and she strode away slowly with both arms crossed behind her head, "Good night, Lord Sesshoumaru."

Sesshoumaru stood in full shock as Zoë strode away. ~ Now...I am sure I do not understand that woman? ~ He thought to himself. When she was away enough, he started walking again, and made his way to his room. Once he got there he took off his armor and clothes immediately, and moved to his personal Hot spring. Not caring about the maid that was there waiting to hand him his clothes, and possibly please him in another way, if the Lord so desired.

After a long while, he got out and took his clothes from the maid, looking at her with his normal cold expression. "Not tonight...You may leave!" He said with a cold voice. The maid did as she was told and left the room.

~ Why is it that my demon no longer wants pleasure from another? I could not possibly be thinking of her that way already. Have my instincts lost their mind? ~ He thought as he fell into his bed of pillows that lay in the center of his room. He stared at the murals of the forests around his Lands. In that manner he fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Zoë had taken a short tour once again around the west wing of the castle until she felt herself slightly sleepy and decided to head back to her room. As she neared her room that she has been placed into, she noticed two maids standing by, awaiting for her. At the thought of it, both of her cheeks turned faint red until another maid came abruptly out of another room, which was right across from hers. She blinked until she realized whose room was it.

When she realized whose room was it, her eyes widened in shock and nearly coughed when she let out a small 'eep'. She had never slept in a room of a house that would be directly across from a male's room. She only hoped that he would not come in when she was doing what she was doing that would be considered a privacy. To be sure of it, she asked one of the maid and the maid nodded affirmative to her question and Zoë quickly entered the room after she gestured the maids that she needed no help. Now in her room, she took off her clothes gently as possible and left to go into her own private hot spring for a short while.

As soon as she was done with her bath, she went back into the room to find a strange pajamas and she wrinkled her nose in disgust. No way in hell would she ever wear pajamas that completely covers her body when it is warm out! "Ugh…I'm not wearing that."

She grumbled, still wrapped up in her towel and she grabbed her bag, slightly making noises until she found the device she needed. She pressed one of the button and a pile of clothes appeared into sight. She grinned slightly as she put on her mini, but stretchable short with sport tank-top on and went off onto the bed. However, she did not go to sleep alone, she had brought a picture with her, and laid it next to her and stared at it until she fell asleep, her body curled up in ball-shape.
