Disclaimer: I do not own InuYasha. Get over it.
The battle was finally over. Everyone was dead, except her. It was now about midnight, and she looked around the once beautiful field remembering what had happened just seconds earlier.
Flashback (My Pov)
I had been told to watch Shippo and make sure he didn’t jump into the battle. I looked around and saw lots of lower-class demons and wolves dead. In fact, Koga was the last one of his pack alive. I watched as Miroku fell to the ground after his Wind Tunnel sucked up all the poisonous insects. Sango ran over to her lover, just to be pierced in the heart by one of Naraku’s tentacles. One of the tentacles were heading straight for Maria so Koga jumped in front of her, shielding her, but getting pierced in the heart in the process. He fell to the ground, and Maria got pissed. Both Maria and Mizuki did something that lit the whole field up with bright light. Naraku was almost dead but so was Mizuki and Maria was dead, because they had used too much energy in they're attack. InuYasha ran over to Mizuki and held her in his arms. Shippo broke loose of my hold and ran up to his surrogate mother yelling, “Momma!” “No Shippo!” I yelled, but it was too late. Naraku sent out his tentacles, immediately killing InuYasha, Shippo, and Mizuki. With the last of his strength he sent one out at me, but in his weakened state it only hit my leg. He died seconds later.
End Flashback
Reg. Pov
She looked around the field for her lover and gasped when she spotted him not far away from where she was sitting. She winced as she pulled the tentacle out of her leg, and she limped over to his lifeless form. His armor was cracked where he had gotten hit, and his silver hair and fluffy tail were matted with blood; some that was his but most of it from lower-class demons. She felt the tears streaming down her cheeks, but she didn’t care about showing weakness. There was no one around to see her. But, she had to stop crying. He wouldn’t have wanted her to show weakness. But then why did he leave her alone? He promised he wouldn’t leave her alone. He promised she would never be alone again. She started limping across the field, starting to cry all over again.
When she reached Sango’s body, she picked up the dagger Sango had dropped. She limped back over to her lover and fell to her knees by his side. She gripped the dagger a little tighter and whispered, “I’ll be with you soon, my love.” She then pierced the dagger through her heart and gasped in pain. She felt the warm blood run over her fingers for about a second before she fell to the ground, the blood pooling around her lifeless form.
She opened her eyes and looked up at the big golden gates in front of her. “You’re at the gates to the afterlife.” The man beside the gates said, answering her unasked question. She nodded and the gates opened. There he was, waiting for her. She smiled and ran up to him, throwing her arms around his neck. His arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer, and his tail wrapped around her waist, bringing her the warmth, comfort, and sense of security she hadn’t had in a long time. “My love.” She whispered as he bent down his head to kiss her. Her heart leapt for joy; now they could be together for all eternity.
