"I will be back in four days, Jaken and Arshes will be here for assistance." She stood outside with Rin and Shippo on either side of her facing the departing taiyoukai. He told her he would be leaving for a brief territorial meeting and a patrol of his lands. She felt a little guilty at her growing excitement. While he was gone, she was to run the lands and have free reign over everything. That meant no training for four days, the simple thought alone made her want to dance. Nodding trying to hide her excitement, she prayed he couldn't smell it.

"We will resume your training immediately when I return, to make up for the loss days."

Eichiro nearly burst out laughing as he saw her eyes flash indigo at her apparent anger. Both Sesshoumaru and himself could tell she was excited at her getting to run the lands and not having to train. When he was in the study that morning talking to Sesshoumaru they were interrupted by the tussle headed mistress padding in yawning. As if he wasn't there at all she made herself comfortable on the cushions near the window facing them. When Sesshoumaru told her where he was going she was a little upset at first, until he said for how long. He could see every ounce of control was being taken for her not to jump for joy.

After the children said goodbye, she walked up to him and placed a light kiss on his lips. She let out a gasp when he snaked his hand around her waist and held her tightly against him in order to not break the kiss, coming out her state of shock she purred seductively into his lips. She clutched onto his shoulders desperately as he hungrily wrecked havoc on her mouth. The warmth in her lower stomach was already building with the heat between her legs.

Tearing her away from him as if he had barely any control he growled angrily.

"I will return to finish what has been started." He traced lazy symbols into her arm as he spoke so only she could hear. Shivers coursed through her as she managed a nod, gaining a cocky smirk from the inu lord. `Damn him, he knew exactly what to do to her newly aware body.`

Swirls of red and white smoke started to swirl at his feet as he stepped back. In pure amazement, the children watched as their master and the soldier stood on top of a giant youkai cloud.

"Bye bye Sesshoumaru-sama, come back to Rin soon." Rin squealed through her tears. The sight was touching to Kagome as she watched the youkai lord's reaction. He simply lowered his eyelids and made a slight nod for agreement, but she could tell he was going to miss the child.

She waited until they were out of sight before ushering the children back in.

"Momma?" Shippo's voice reached her sensitive ears. She turned her head, giving him the signal that she was listening. "What are we going to do now?"

The gleam in her eyes sparked both of the children's attention as their mother bent down so that she was eye level with them.

"You two are going to get dressed so we can get out of this boring `ol castle and have some serious fun." Excitement was barley contained as they let out a squeal racing each other to their room.

"Boring `ol castle eh?" Kagome whipped around to see Keito with her hands crossed across her chest, giving her a chastising smile. Kagome let her mind roam as she frowned slightly, every time she observed the cute bunny youkai she felt that something was missing.

"Ah-hah I know what it is!" she was so happy that she finally nailed it. "You are going to come with us to the market today and out of this stuffy house this instant." She grabbed her sword off of the small table by the stairs and made her way towards the door. The children were now coming down; Shippo was dressed in tiny green hakamas and a matching top, while Rin sported an ankle length green kimono. She smiled at their apparent fondness of each other; it was nearly impossible to separate them.

"Wow Rin has never been on an adventure with Kagome-san, this is going to be so much fun." Twirling around in excitement as she squealed. They walked outside onto the front balcony that looked over the vast lands.

"Ok we are going to try out my new youkai cloud, which Sesshoumaru just taught me." She blushed embarrassingly before continuing. "So that means I want you to hold on to Keito tightly in case I can't hold it." they nodded eagerly, running to Keito and grabbing a hold of each of her legs.

"You will do just fine Kagome." Keito's hand squeezed her shoulder in assurance. Kagome nodded with a big smile, `she is right I can do this, I have the blood of a powerful youkai now`.

Forming her hands into a steeple-prayer style, she held them level with her chest. Her eyes fluttered as slightly as she drew her youkai/miko energy to focus.

Keito was surprised to see a purple cloud appear so quickly and strongly beneath them. She held the pups tighter to her legs as they floated upwards. Visions of the children clutching to her as they dangled off the cliff sprung back into her mind. She would not let that occur again. She was still immensely grateful that Kagome forgave her so readily making it seem as a perfect accident. Even though it was she still felt she could have done better.

Kagome opened her eyes she looked around her to see that she successfully did it, she wanted to jump up and down for joy.

"Ok guys lets go pick up one more member of the party and then we can get out of here." She directed the cloud easily and swiftly in the sky, making the children giggle and jump up in excitement. But the bunny youkai kept them down with a iron grip and a death stare, she could tell the bunny youkai was still scared over prior events.

In seconds they reached the bottom of the castle's huge mountain to hover on top of the inu village. As they started to land she heard gasp and talking sweep around them. They barley had time to walk before they were surrounded with inu greeting them.

Trying to greet everybody that came up to her she noticed that Rin, Shippo, and even Keito was slightly nervous. Looking around she finally realized they were only being greeted by the men while the women were trying not to stare daggers of hatred. She had to do something because she was starting to feel awkward around these attention-starved men, herself. She had to admit though she has never seen so many good-looking youkai men in her life.

"Umm… I was wondering where Arshes was I really would like to speak to her."

"Of course I will find her for the lady at once." A gray and yellow haired inu responded immediately before taking off through the crowd.

Ok one problem down one more to go. "I was wondering if I could talk with Fuuto." A loud groan mixed with a sprinkle of oaths was the initial reaction from the inus.

Fuuto was training with his son Po, when a soldier from sector six showed up at the door. He watched out of the corner of his eye as he dodged all of his son's attacks.

"Fuuto you are summoned to the lady of the western lands." the soldier's voice was full of anger and envy. Without a word, he departed from the hut.

Bowing to his son, he signaled that practice was over for now; kissing his wife's cheek, he left quickly. Going towards the castle's direction, he spotted a crowd of soldiers; leaping easily over them, he landed in front of the lady herself. Bowing towards her, he noticed the smell of envy and anger rise out of the men around them, but with another twitch of his nose, he could sense lady Kagome's nervousness.

"Fuuto I am so happy to see you again, I was hurt that you have not visited me."

"Please except my apologies lady Kagome I have been quite busy with the training of my son and …" the delicate hand on his arm and the slight squeal of delight interrupted him completely.

"Oh yes you must introduce me to your wife and son I really would like to meet them." As if catching herself, her fair face reddened considerably. "That is if they are not busy of course, I am so sorry how rude of me."

"No, no, no, lady Kagome they are not at all let me show you my hut," now it was his turn to blush. He mentally smacked his head how could he be so stupid why would someone of royalty want to see a hut. "Umm…I…mean…I…could just…"

"Of course I would, lead the way." Her smile was like the rays of the sun on a chilled morning. She hoisted up the small ningen girl that was clinging to her robes into her arms, he has seen the child from a far at the castle and has heard rumors about her through the encampment. All that was known was that she was the ward of Sesshoumaru-sama and was highly protected by him.

"Rin, uncover your eyes and stop being shy. This is Fuuto he is one of my many friends, say hello to him, will you not?" the child's head slowly turned revealing big brown orbs full of curiosity and fear.

Slowly her lips moved, "Hello." As quickly, as the words were spoken her face was buried into Kagome's chest.

He laughed and continued to lead them to his hut, by now the other soldiers returned to their previous duties, but their eyes did not.

Kagome noticed that every hut's door was open, symbolizing the apparent safety, trust, and unity though the village. They were lead directly in the hut, which was very homey. It had two bedrooms and a sitting area/ kitchen. Sitting at the presumed kitchen table was a gold haired inu demoness and a golden haired pup eating their food quietly. When they entered they, both looked up curiously, until it dawned on the golden haired lady whom she was. In a flash, she jerked her son and herself onto the floor into the respected kneeling position.

"Please forgive us Lady Kagome." She was still staring at the floor as she spoke, her beautiful hair forming a golden curtain around her. The boy on the other hand was trying not to stare curiously at everyone, but most of his attention seemed to be on Rin. Who surprisingly was staring back with a huge smile.

"Please stand up, there is no need to kneel with me, and please call me Kagome. I am so happy to meet you and thank you personally for my kimonos." Smiling as she sat Rin down she smoothed out her kimono. "As you can see I have had all my kimonos altered this way, it is way more convenient."

"No thank you Lad…Kagome for your kindness and bravery my husband was allowed to come back to us. Please call me Rayola, I am from the sixth division, the archery division."

Rayola was very lithe and tall, almost as tall as Fuuto, and way taller than herself. She was quite pretty, not a heart stopper but very dainty and meek. However, she looked to be a strong fighter by the way she stood and carried herself.

"This is my son Po, training to be in the 8th division like Fuuto." She said proudly nudging Po over to her to greet her properly.

"Konnichiwa Lady Kagome." He bowed towards her, his long golden locks were braided into a tight braid running down his back. His face was round and sweet making him look angelic.

"Konnichiwa, Po I am pleased to meet you," bowing slightly, she guided Rin and Shippo in front of her. "I want you to meet my children Rin and Shippo." She could see his confusion at the prospect of a ningen child and a kit to be and inu demoness's children. However, he decided to ignore it and bow to each of them anyways. She could tell Keito was not too keen on being introduced, the way she stood in the corner.

"I am sorry to come in on you like this but I am waiting for Arshes, and asked Fuuto to let me see you one day." She realized how rude she must seem to them, to come barging in on their lunch.

"No not at all Lady Kagome we do not mind at all, please feel free to come to us whenever you wish." Rayola was still shocked that the Lady of the Western lands came to her hut to visit her of all people. Her little family wasn't particularly one of the strongest in the army. Everyone rather looked down on them except for others in the same caste, especially every since the ordeal with the lady almost losing her life after such a short time with Sesshoumaru-sama. Everyone could see the immaculate difference when she was around him. He wasn't as cold and uncaring as he usually was he was just coolly indifferent. However, whenever she would leave for unknown reasons, get hurt, or just out of his sight he became monstrous and malevolent. The same lady that brought peace to their taiyoukai was standing in her house talking to her child and introducing her own, she could barely restrain herself from running outside and screaming "HA!!" in the faces of the women who looked down on her.

A knock interrupted her thoughts; looking past Kagome was another surprise. Arshes the leader of sector two stood at her very own door. Arshes was the most feared women of the entire army, every women wanted to be her friend to prove themselves worthy in her eye. But getting into her good graces was hard for two reasons: first she was very elusive and second she had a temper of the devil himself.

"Please come in commander Arshes." She signaled their salute as she entered.

"Arshes how are you?" beamed Kagome.

"Fine Kagome I heard you were looking for me." Fuuto and Rayola stared in amazement at the soft tone she used around Kagome, a tone she never used on them. Also the fact that she was smiling which was totally new for them in all these years.

"I am going out for a while today and I was wondering if you want to tag along. Most likely there will be some adventure for you to partake in." she gave her a "I'll explain later look."

"Sure I am done with everything." Turning towards Fuuto and his family she nodded respectively before walking out.

They were on the outskirts of the inu village, just finishing the last of their goodbyes.

"Arshes I was wondering if I could ask you a question?" Kagome, bit her lip nervously, hoping her judgment was correct.

Arshes could sense something was bothering the mistress, however she was a little unsure if she should be a part of it. But what the hell, she knew whatever it was Kagome needed her and that's what friends were for.

"Sure Kagome what is the matter, I will do my best to help." Smiling at the young mistress, she received a warm smile in return.

"I was given the ningen village for an army, however I have no idea how to run one."

Wow, she thought Sesshoumaru-sama actually granted the ningen village its request to become an army for the western lands. As if it were yesterday, she could remember the former leader of the village asking permission to speak to the taiyoukai. Oddly enough, this request was granted and the ningen was brought before the entire army during training to speak to the cold lord. They all laughed when they heard the request for a formation of an army from the ningen, they laughed harder when Sesshoumaru-sama decapitated him. However, now the same cold-hearted inu granted the very same wish and gave the army to the lady of the lands herself. How amazing was that!

"Of course I will help you…" the shaking of the girl's head made her sentence fade away.

"Well its not that simple, Sesshoumaru forbids me from seeking any help from the army." She gave the soldier an innocent smirk, as if that would explain it all.

Arshes had take a moment and step back for a second, to think about the situation. If she knew Sesshoumaru correctly, he meant what he said, however, he won't really care what she does with the army as long as it doesn't draw his attention. All that would be needed is stealth around the taiyoukai.

"That will not be a problem, whoever said divine knowledge of running an army couldn't just by chance pass your way."

"What Sesshoumaru-sama doesn't know nor find out anytime soon won't kill us." They turned in shock to stare at the quiet rabbit's perfect response, after three whole minutes of shock all three burst out laughing.

"Thank you Arshes your help in this will be highly valued and needed, and Keito I will definitely need your wisdom." Clapping her hands together suddenly she caused the two girls to jump out of shock. "Now I think it is time to have a little fun."

The mischievous gleam in the young inu's eyes caused the girls to take a hesitant step back. Whatever she was up to, they were pretty sure they weren't ready for. Usually whatever she did got her into limitless trouble with Sesshoumaru and Eichiro.

She laughed at their combined action; they knew her all to well. Well that's what get when you have an impish little brother and you hang out with the master of mischief Inuyasha. Looking around the ningen village, she spotted her target close bye, as if he was merely waiting for her.

"Kanaye, could you do me a favor," waiting for him to approach her she noticed how extra good he looked today. His armor and weapons were gleaming as if they were just polished. "I need you to help me find a certain lady friend around here who knows her way around the village."

"Mmmm I think I know exactly what you mean, wait right here I will be right back." he didn't leave but for a few seconds, when he returned with a young girl about the same age as Arshes. She looked slightly nervous, however Kagome could easily tell as soon as she starting feeling at ease she was going to turn into the exact replica of her friends in the future.

"Ladies this is Nami she can get you anything from anywhere, I think she will be perfect for whatever you may want." He pushed the girl a little more towards them; Kagokme could easily tell that she could have all the village boys at her feet if she wished. She had medium length chestnut hair, with cat like eyes, a small nose, and a diamond shape face. She was just as tall as she was, however unlike her she was much more curvy than she was. Making her daily chore clothes look cute, `damn her` she always hated people that could pull shit like that off. One of her friends in the future could just wake up and still look magnificent, `little whore`, why couldn't she be blessed that way.

"Hello Nami, my name is Kagome, and this is Arshes, Keito, Rin, and Shippo."

"Hello." She bowed politely towards each one.

"Could I ask you to do me two big favors?" she already knew that the girl would do it but she felt that it would be rude not to ask.

"Of course, I'll do anything I can to help."

"Good, shall we then." Grabbing the retreating youkai girls before they escaped. "Oh come on, trust me it won't be bad I promise, your going to love it."

It took her an hour to drop the children and the girls off, however as one may suspect it wasn't the children that took up most of her time. On the contrary, they were quite easy to entertain, all she did was ask Nami where other children might be and usher them towards them, as simple as that. However, Keito and Arshes were quite ridiculous, she asked Nami to get some other girls and sort of pamper the hard working youkai girls. Yep it sounded cool to the girls and wonderful to her, however the two-youkai girls in question were not having it. It seems that they didn't like the idea of being left alone with four ningen girls to be scrubbed and fussed over. Therefore, she was left with only one option, to tell them the cold hard truth.

Standing in front of the defiant inu and rabbit demoness, with her arms crosswed and eyes narrowed, she spoke calmly. "You two will sit here, and get your feet, hands, and whatever else scrubbed until your skin is as soft as silk. Because there is no reason for any female to let, her skin get as visibly, and let me emphasize visibly, as rough as yours' is no matter what she does. You will also let your hair get trimmed and washed by these girls because let me tell you the truth, because I care and not to be harsh, your hair is coarse, split, and all a round uncollectable (A/N=this is a word, believe it or not). So sit and enjoy this treatment, not many women get the opportunity, oh and you're getting new clothes. Goodbye." Spinning on her heel, she left the girls stunned while the four-ningen girls attacked them with their treatments.

After designing outfits for the girls, using some ideas from the future, that would be flexible for battle and their everyday activities, she sought the company of her new army commander.

"So you know already?" she was utterly shocked and somewhat disappointed she wanted to share this news with them first. She sat in Kanaye's hut drinking tea while he fiddled with the strings of his haori.

"Yes, I was brought to him but a few days ago to be told that you would be leading our army," she could tell he was still quite excited about it all, but he tried to remain calm around her as if not to embarrass himself. "I cannot express how grateful and happy we all are Kagome, this means everything to us." He smiled sheepishly as he bowed towards her.

"Do not thank me yet Kanaye, I must say that I will not be a very good army leader, but if you keep quiet I will tell you that I will be receiving help from Arshes the inu demoness you saw earlier."

His eyes lit up as soon as the words tumbled out of her mouth, `boy, he really cannot wait, can he?` she mused to herself. She was glad she was able to help them get what they so desperately seemed to want. She opened her mouth to ask him a question but a familiar scent in the air stopped her. If she was smelling the right scent then she had to get to him before he was killed by the patrolling inu soldiers or the village warriors. Quickly she jumped up and ran out the door, she could hear Kanaye yell to her to wait up but she needed to hurry. Running towards the southern outskirts of the village, her vision confirmed her suspicion. A red and white blur was quickly bounding over the tree tops, towards her, when it reached her she did the only thing she could think of.

"Osuwari!!!"

So this was how she greeted him, by being plowed into the ground by that damn word. "What the hell Kagome I came all the way here to tell you something and you do this!" he yelled into the dirt.

Grabbing the back of his robe she pulled him up and turned him over so that he could see her when she yelled at him.

"You baka you do know that Sesshoumaru's army patrols the entire western providence? They could have killed you!" by now every one who was nearby was surrounding them, watching with curiosity and amazement.

He could feel the spell finally release its hold, getting up he brushed himself off while staring daggers Kagome. "Actually they will not kill me since Sesshoumaru promised that he will be the one that kills me. Meaning he would never stand for any of his ignorant soldiers to take away that divine pleasure. Besides do you think I would let those bakas kill me?" he smirked arrogantly.

Rolling her eyes, she turned to the confused warrior. "Kanaye this is my best friend, and Sesshoumaru's half brother Inuyasha." Turning towards Inuyasha, "Inuyasha this is Kanaye lead warrior a newly appointed commander of the western ningen army."

"WHAT!!!!"

After twenty minutes of them explaining to him what happened, he finally remembered why he came in the first place.

"That is perfect then! Shocking that my sadistic, egotistical, and baka brother allowed it, but brilliant nonetheless."

"I'll drink to that!" Kanaye laughed holding his cup up in agreement. She inwardly shook her head as they laughed together about her mate.

"Sorry to break up the merriment boys, but what is brilliant Inuyasha?"

"Oh yeah, Kaede told me that some mikos are being forced out their village because of a youkai attack and for some reason the villagers don't want them around. Now they are traveling by themselves looking for somewhere to stay and since you basically have your own ningen village I figured we could go get them a let them stay here."

"Hai, Kagome don't you see that would be great to have mikos in the village and in the army nonetheless." Kanaye's eyes were so big and full of excitement, mixed with his rugged good looks made him appear almost insane scary."

That was a great idea and a perfect opportunity, and she felt bad about those poor mikos, they would definitely have to go save them. Only Sesshoumaru's angry face kept pooping into the forefront of her mind. How will he ever let her keep a group of mikos in his land, the natural enemy to youkai?

"It is a wonderful idea but one big problem, Sesshoumaru." The sparkle in Kanaye's eyes left immediately replaced by a scowl.

"Well as it was said before Kagome what he doesn't know won't hurt him nor us." The melodious voice brought all three of their eyes towards the doorway.

Standing there was Arshes and Keito, glowing after their treatment and looking beautiful in their new kimonos. She giggled as she passed the two stunned men.

"Well Kanaye make room for some company because in a few days you will be receiving mikos in training to go along with our army."
