In the morning, Kagome was awakened by the sunlight that was poured from the window. She groaned and stretched her stiff limbs. She peered down at her handsome lover. She placed her hand on his face. It was so soft and cool. She was glad that her mother arranged this marriage.

Hojo stirred in his sleep and slowly opened his eyes. He saw his wife staring down at him and grinned.

“Good morning sunshine,” teased Kagome as she leaned down to capture his lips for a passionate kiss. Hojo opened his mouth, already ready for it. They pulled apart and gazed into each other's eyes.

“We should get ready or should we keep your friend waiting,” said Kagome.

Hojo sighed and thought that she was right. He hopped off the bed and put a robe on himself and went to his bathing chambers where his servants were waiting for him.

Kagome heard a knock on the door and she knew who it was.

“Come in,” said Kagome.

The door slowly opened and an old lady with a black eye patch on her left eye came in.

“Good morning, my lady,” said the old lady as she stumbled over to Kagome's bedside. She grabbed a silk robe and put it on Her Majesty.

“Good morning Kaede. Did you sleep fair?” asked Kagome. She was always concerned for her nurse's well being. Kaede took care of her ever since she was born. Kaede was told to go with Kagome when she was betrothed to Hojo.

“I slept fair, Your Majesty, have you?” asked Kaede as she was following Kagome to her bathing chambers.

“I slept very well, Kaede,” said Kagome. When they arrived, her white marble tub was ready. Kaede took off the robe and Kagome stepped into the steaming hot water. Kagome sighed once she was in it. All of the kinks in her body started to fade away.

“I could only guess what you did,” teased Kaede. She poured in scented oils of lavender into the water. She grabbed some lavender soap and started scrubbing her lady's body.

Kagome blushed. “Well, I guess I don't have to explain to you what I did last night, huh?”

“No, my lady. You don't have to. I know what goes on between married couples at night,” replied Kaede. She told Kagome to go under water to rinse of the soap. She then started washing Kagome's hair with lavender shampoo. Kaede worked into her scalp and told Kagome again to go under water.

Once the bathing was done, Kagome stepped out and Kaede put a fluffy towel around her body. Then, she grabbed a sundress for Kagome to wear that day.

The dress stopped just at the floor. It was light blue with light purple polka dots. There was a sash hat went around her waist. Kaede grabbed a couple of sandals for Kagome to wear on her feet.

Kagome sat down on a chair and Kaede dried the rest of the hair with another towel. It was still damp, but Kaede still worked with it. She put it up into a neat bun and put a sunhat that tied under her chin. Kagome told her old nurse to not bother with any make up, so she didn't put any on.

Kagome was told to meet Hojo and InuYasha at the stables since their guest had a surprise for them. Kagome was eager, so she hurried towards the stables.

The queen saw the two men just outside the building, talking and laughing with each other. She was glad that they are catching up on old times. But, once she saw the silver haired man looking at her, her breath was caught in her throat, butterflies started to flutter in her stomach.

Hojo saw the where he was looking at and smiled. He motioned his wife to come join them. Kagome did was she was told.

“Good morning Your Majesty, isn't it a beautiful day?” asked InuYasha.

“Uh, yes, it is a beautiful morning,” replied Kagome as Hojo caught her hand and held it.

“Ah, yes, I have a gift for the both of you, please, come follow me,” he said. The couple followed the man into the stables.

They were led farther and farther into the humongous stable. They finally stopped near the end of the stable path when Kagome gasped at the two white horses.

“Oh, InuYasha, they are gorgeous. Thank you so much,” thanked Kagome. She walked towards one of the horses and started petting its muzzle.

“Yes, thank you InuYasha,” said Hojo as he clapped on his friend's shoulder. InuYasha smiled.

“Why don't you ride one of them Hojo? I know that you are a fantastic rider. I haven't seen you ride for a long time,” said InuYasha.

Hojo chuckled, “Oh, I don't know. My riding doesn't compare to my wife's riding.”

“Oh, come on Hojo, don't be shy,” laughed Kagome.

Hojo agreed and asked one of the stable boys to get his saddle and reins. They did so and they helped him get on.

He took off with a soft stride. Kagome and InuYasha cheered him on. Hojo turned around and told them that he might take a small ride out on the country and that he would be back in several minutes.

“I miss riding, I will be back,” he said and took off.

Kagome sighed when she saw her husband riding out into the distance. She turned around and saw that InuYasha was looking at her.

“Uh, may I help you?” asked Kagome. She started to feel a little uncomfortable.

InuYasha blinked a few times and blushed. “Hojo is very lucky to have a woman as beautiful as you.”

Kagome blushed a soft shade of red. “Thank you.” Then, she saw that his eyes were tearing up.

“What's wrong?” she asked with much concern. She placed a hand on his shoulder.

“Its, its nothing,” he answered and he turned around and started walking away.

“I don't believe that. I am your friend now and you are my husbands. I order you to tell me what's wrong!” she commanded.

InuYasha stopped stiff and she saw his shoulders droop. “Fine, I'll tell you.”
