“You are leaving, why?” asked the king.

 

InuYasha looked at his dear friend with a cheerless look. “I have been far away from my home long enough, dear friend. Thank you for having me in your home, I enjoyed it very much. I probably have a lot of paperwork to catch up. I hope to see you again, or you can come to my castle.”

 

Hojo nodded. He understood. He, too, had a lot of work to catch up. Well, the work his wife could not do for him.

 

Then, they saw a figure that they both loathed. It was Sango that was walking towards them. Their faces started to glower. They both could not stand her, for different reasons. They did know that she, too, was leaving. InuYasha knew why, but Hojo was told differently.

 

“InuYasha, may I talk to you privately. It's something that you might like,” she chirped.

 

InuYasha inhaled and followed her to a small place. Wouldn't he be in a surprise?

 

“I am pregnant with your child. I was in my cycle when we made love,” she simply told him.

 

InuYasha sweat dropped. Yes, he had to marry her for the sake of the child. Kagome must know, he knew.

 

“You can come live with me and there we can marry,” he softly told her. He was humiliated for himself. He knew that Kagome could never, ever forgive him. So, he is taking responsibility and going to marry…her.

 

“OK, I'll follow you later, back to your home,” she told him

 

He walked away from her. Sango was smiling, her plan succeeded. She was getting all giddy now.

 

“I best be leaving, Hojo, good-bye,” said InuYasha as he went on his horse. Hojo placed a hand on his knee and patted it.

 

“Good-bye. I hope we'll meet again,” said Hojo and InuYasha went off back to his home.

 

A few minutes after everything was packed, Sango left following the same trail that her soon-to-be husband took.

 

From the small place that InuYasha and Sango were talking, Kagome walked out. She heard the whole conversation. InuYasha is to wed Sango. Boy, she felt her life was crumbling down faster than she thought. She sat down on a bench nearby and started to weep.

Hojo was walking back to the castle when a raven flew above him. It soared lower and grabbed some hair.

 

“Ouch!” he screamed and rubbed his hair. “Damn bird.” Then he walked on.

The raven arrived back to its house and it transformed back into Kikyo. She went to her dark room and put the hair into the cauldron. The potion boomed and she knew that it was finished. The potion was finally complete.

 

Kikyo grabbed a small bottle and grabbed a ladle. She poured the liquid into it and put the cap back on.

 

“Finally, my plan is almost finished and my son will be king of all Japan!” she laughed.
