Inuyasha winced, as Kagome not too gently put medicine on his wounds. Sesshomaru had attacked Inuyasha when he was deep in thought sitting in his tree.

Kagome was furious `why didn't Inuyasha sense Sesshomaru! He normally does! How dare he make me worry so much!' "Inuyasha, why ….why did you let your guard down?? I usually don't… you scared me so much!"

"Keh! I'm surprised you even care about me… now that you got Kouga!" Inuyasha chocked out. `Now that Kagome has chosen Kouga as her mate… she didn't need me anymore…'

Kagome stared at him in shock.

"Is that what's been bothering you?? She stammered. `I didn't think the Inuyasha would care… I…I guess I was wrong'

"No! Of courses not!" he lied. "Why would it bother me if you chose Kouga! I DON'T FREAKIN GIVE A CARE!!!!

Kagome flinched but said nothing, she has gotten used to the Inu hanyou's bad temper. Inuyasha jumped into the closet tree and was soon lost in thought once again.

Kagome sighed. `If he didn't are why was he yelling? Ooh well…. I'll wait until Sango, Miroku and Shippo return… then we'll go the nearest own and start looking for shards again.

Kagome was cooking ramen Inuyasha seemed to have forgotten last night and was eating he's breakfast in silence. Kagome took her ramen and started eating as well.

"Inuyasha?"

"Huh?? What is it Kagome??"

"Could you go o the nearest town and well… buy some supplies? I hurt my ankle this morning so I can't go with you." Kagome said with huge puppy dog eyes.

Feh! was all she got cause Inuyasha raced off.

Villagers screamed in fear "youkai!! Run for your lives!!!!"

Sesshomaru cursed himself as he walked though the village. How could he have forgotten about Rin! He had just left her in the woods alone to fight his brother and now she was missing! His nose twitched and he turned. What was the little brat thinking anyways! `Damn! These humans are annoying! I can barely hear myself think!' Just then a girl with short black hair stepped forth and through a rock at Sesshomaru's head. The youkai lord moved aside and didn't even notice her.

Inuyasha jumped from tree to tree with a frown on his face. "Keh! Who does she think she is bossing ME around!?" `Hey stupid!' "What the…" `Oi! Are you listening to me if you hate her bossing you around.. Why do you obey her?!' "Keh! Non of your business!" `Whatever… hey look out there are no more trees!' Inuyasha blinked "what?.. Ooh hell! Shit!" *thud* ouch!"

A villager stares at him and then starts screaming, "Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! Save yourself!!! Sesshomaru is back!! Oh god please helps us!"

Inuyasha blinked and stared at the villagers running around in circles filled with fear. "What the…" but before he could finish a group of brave villagers came up to him. The eldest one spoke quivering with fear. "Please Lord Sesshomaru! Spare us! We have an offering to give you! Since last time you came you asked for a girl with black hair we have chosen one of our village girls with black hair to become you slave! PLEASE take her and promise to spare us!" the old man stepped aside and a girl with short black hair was being dragged to the very confused Inuyasha.

"Let me go! I don't want to be his slave! NOO!! Argh!!!" the girl screeched.

"This is Ranka, and orphaned girl she… she is very rude but... I think that you will take a liking of her sooner or later." *cough cough* "well here you go…" and with that all the villagers ran off… all but poor Ranka who had been tied up.

"Hey!"

No answer

"Hey stupid! Hello! Anyone home!" Ranka glared at him.

"Huh??? What!" Inuyasha replied. He had finally been able to find his voice.

"You're not really Sesshomaru, are you!?" Ranka hissed.

Inuyasha stared at her like she was crazy. "Of course no! Why would you think I was that freak, wench!"
