Sango: Speaking of Sesshomaru I wonder if he's become consious yet?
Sesshomaru: *twitches*
Riley: I'd take that as a no.
Kagome: Get on with the damn chapter!
Miroku: Yeah before you get writers block again!
Riley: Okay! Chapter 11.
Chapter 11
Forgiveness Comes Not So Easy For Kagome
"You lie,"Sesshomaru stuttered with wide eyes. "Y-you can't be pregnant!" Rin shook her head with teary eyes.
"Sesshomaru, I'm just going to lay it all straight,"she softly cried. "I am a human working for Renegade. Me, Sango and Kagome were supposed to assasinate you, your brother, and Miroku."
Inuyasha, who was listening from the other room by the door, turned his head to the ground forbidding tears to fall from Kagomes deciet.
"Tell me something I don't-"Sesshomaru was cut off.
"-But I quit! I quit Renegade! I love you Sesshomaru. With all my heart. Please find it within yours to forgive me for lying. Please forgive me. Please take me back. Me and your unborn child,"Rin fell to her knees sobbing softly.
Sesshomaru felt crushed. He loved Rin and that, not even a powerful demon such as himself, could not put that away. He felt himself kneel down towards the black haired woman who held her stomach with one hand and wiped her eyes with the other.
"Rin,"Sesshomaru spoke softly. "Do you speak the truth? Do you really carry my child. The creation of our love?"
Rin nodded hopelessly. She felt like she wasn't forgiven and stood slowly to walk out the door, and out of Sesshomarus life.
"Wait, Rin,"Sesshomaru called out. Inuyasha and Miroku now, slightly peeked from their concelement in the shadows to see what the elder demon and the human girl were doing.
"Huh?"
She felt a pair of lips gently kissing hers. Her knees felt weak, her heart was about to burst, her face was flushed from embarassment from crying and her body was trembling slightly.
"I love you no matter what Rin Parks."
"I love you Sesshomaru,"Rin whispered.
"And together we will love this child we've created from our love of eachother,"Sesshomaru said. Inuyasha snorted. His brother was a typical romantic always trying to set the mood. Plus, Inuyasha wasn't really ready to handle relationships right now.
"Inuyasha,"Miroku questioned as the silver haired hanyou walked out of the back room and up the stairs to his own. He stopped on mid-step and turned around to face the man with the wind tunnel.
"What now Miroku?"Inuyasha asked in a snappy tone.
"Perhaps if your brother, a usually cold and merciless demon, could forgive his woman, then perhaps you could as well,"Miroku stated.
"No way in HELL!"shouted Inuyasha.
"Why not? Oh I see,"Miroku said with a sudden glare on his face towards Inuyasha. "I noticed that Kagome looked a lot like Kikyou Miko. You're past love. You're still not over Kikyou and constantly compare Kagome to Kikyou."
"Kikyou,"he shuddered at the name, "Has nothing to do with this."
"Doesn't she!?"Miroku grabbed Inuyashas wrist and forced the silver haired amber eyed hanyou to look into his own violet ones.
"Kikyou left a long time ago and hasn't been seen since. You probably only liked Kagome at first because of her striking resemblance to Kikyou Miko! She makes one mistake and is willing to beg for your forgiveness and your acceptance, unlike Kikyou, and you treat her terrible. You treat her as you would Kikyou if she returned. At least Kagome was willing to repent."
"You know nothing!"Inuyasha shouted back. "Kagome is just like Kikyou. So full of lies and shit! Kikyou lied to me and I forgave her many of times. Then she leaves! Just like that! And now Kagome is beginning to repeat what Kikyou does and now you want me to forgive? I'd just be repeating the same mistakes I did with Kikyou! And that's NOT gonna happen. I'm done."
"You have no soul,"Miroku said.
"What are you talking about now?"snapped Inuyasha.
"Had you a soul, then you would have noticed that Kagome had something twice as powerful, twice as strong, and twice as true than Kikyou. Her love for you. And you reject it. You fear being alone by rejection, so instead you choose to be the rejector and place Kagome Hirugashi in your situation,"Miroku stated.
"I'm not falling for your tricks. She lied to me. She was to kill us all! Doesn't that mean something to you?! That means Sango too!"Inuyasha shouted causing Miroku to step back. A dangerous gleam was in his eye.
"Don't bring Sango into this Inuyasha. This is about you and Kagome,"Miroku stated.
"Sango's in the same boat AS Kagome,"Inuyasha corrected in a deep tone. "Whassamatta? Don't like the fact that Sango probably used you too?"
"I know she didn't use me!"Miroku clenched his teeth.
"Careful Miroku, all this stress could make your hair fall out and give ya a kanker sore,"Inuyasha warned. Next thing the hanyou knew, he was on the ground.
He felt a sting on his face. Miroku punched him.
"You have no sympathy! They're willing to beg for forgiveness and you reject it like it would poison you if you did! Kagome is not Kikyou! Kagome is better! Get over Kikyou and accept the fact that you're with a new woman!"Miroku shouted.
"I don't need this shit!"Inuyasha growled. He walked to the back door that led from the ammo shop to the garage. Aiji and Nina backed up from the door. Apparently they were listening.
"Inuyasha?"Aiji asked when he walked by while snatching his coat and putting it on. "Where are you going?"
He didn't answer. Only the sound of Tetsuaiga starting and the garage slamming open and closing could be heard. Nina and Aiji walked into the ammo shops back room where Miroku rubbed his right knuckles.
"His head is hard. I'll be lucky if my words even touch the surface of his skill, let alone sink in,"Miroku said in a dead humourless tone.
"I liked Kagome,"Aiji admitted.
"She could race very well. Well, I mean for a human,"Nina said.
"Yeah,"Aiji agreed.
Inuyasha gripped the steering wheel.
"It's no biggie, it's just a human,"Inuyasha attempted to convince himself only to find out that he failed.
Inuyasha once had a love. He never slept with her, but she apparently slept around. It hurt him. And then one day she decives him and walks away. He hasn't seen her since. And it still hurts.
"Did I just go out with Kagome because she looked like Kikyou?"Inuyasha asked himself stopping the car.
"That wouldn't be fair to Kagome,"Inuyasha mumbled to himself. "She isn't like Kikyou. Kagome was pure. Kagome had a heart and cared enough to tell me the truth. Even if it was too late."
Then it struck him.
"I'm like Kikyou. I abadoned Kagome like Kikyou abadoned me. I was left with a shattered heart and nobody to pick up the pieces and I just left Kagome in the same situation."
Inuyasha drove to a special place. A place where he leaves himself to think, ponder and sometimes bring out his violence. It was the Sengoku Jidai building. He parked his car outside and grimly walked into the building of memories. The elevator. It was where a beautifully dressed Kagome learned his secret that he was most vulnerable when the moon was gone. But she looked so beautiful and so ravishing and so trusting. He stepped in and pressed for the top floor.
The elevator moved slowly.
A ding sound was heard and Inuyasha stepped out. He walked with his glance casted down. Then he turned his head up.
There she stood. Kagome Hirugashi stood there with tear stained cheeks, red puffy eyes that showed no signs of sleep. Her body shook with violent sobs that she was trying to keep back. Her nose was red from blowing it so much.
"I-I-Inuyasha,"she began to walk towards him and to her suprise he didn't move back.
"Kagome."
