Chapter Fourteen
The Secrets of Sangos Investigations and Rins Suprise
Miroku sat silently awaiting for Sango to wake up. Kagura had given her a seditive that sent her straight to sleep, and she has been for about four hours straight. Guilt had washed over him as he saw Sango resting there, bandaged and upon a forced sleep. She was probably having a nightmare.
"I'm sorry Sango,"Miroku whispered as he took one of her limp hands and gripped it tightly. "If I hadn't interupted your mission then you probably wouldn't have been caught. I should've protected you. I should've trusted you."
"Miroku,"came a weak voice. Miroku jumped up in suprise as Sango shifted.
"Hey, how are you feeling?"asked Miroku with deep concern.
"Like shit."
"Oh, then you're okay,"Miroku smiled. Sango smiled back weakly.
"It means a lot to me that you said that,"Sango said attempting to sit up. "What time is it?"
"It's late enough. You should rest,"Miroku stated.
"But the race,"Sango weakly fell down. "What did Kagura put in me?"
"A very strong herb ment to relax and put the patient to sleep,"came the voice of Kagura as she walked through the door.
The wind vixen was dressed in black pants with knee high, high thin heeled pointed toe black boots. She wore a black muscle tank top and tied to a black satin sash held at her side, was a large white and red fan.
"Kagura,"Sango welcomed.
"Naraku is not the type of person to be tricked,"Kagura said in a low tone.
"What do you mean?"Sango asked.
"Sango,"Miroku began, "Kagura is Naraku's well, daughter." Kagura lowered her head down as to not face Sangos look of disbelief and shock.
"It's not something I'm proud of. The thought of his blood running through my veins wants me to cut myself open and drain out the dirt."
"Why are you an Inu then?"Sango asked.
"My father is cruel. Perhaps the most cruel person you could ever meet in the world. He trained me in all the demon practices and skills that he thought I'd need to become the next leader and heir to the Spiders. My mother, she died when I was five and she could do nothing, even when she was alive,"Kagura sat down. Sango noticed how comfortable she seemed talking about this.
"I'm so sorry to hear that,"Sango said in sympathy. Kagura shot her blood red eyes to face Sangos soft hazel ones, from under the blackened lashes.
"Naraku killed my mother. He felt himself growing too attatched. When he gets too attatched, he kills. That's why I decided to run away,"she finished.
"Why were you going after Naraku?"asked Miroku.
"I wasn't,"Sango stated.
"What do you mean? I thought you said-"Miroku was cut off.
"I was going after the woman with him. She looked familiar but she dissapeared as they went into the alleyway."
"So Naraku? I don't get it!"Kagura whispered harshly. "Wait a second. He could've been protecting whomever she was."
"I know exactly who it was, and I need to see Kagome immediatly,"Sango narrowed her eyes.
"Who was it?"asked Miroku with intense curiousity.
"You wouldn't know her,"Sango shook her head.
"If it's a woman, chances are, I know her,"Miroku stated. Kagura sighed.
"Her name is Kikyou Miko and-"
"KIKYOU?"Miroku nearly shouted. "Did you just say Kikyou?"
"Yes. She's an associate to B in Renegade,"Sango stated.
"Hm. It seems that your little friend Kikyou is a double agent,"Kagura noted. "Because of working at Renegade she is able to aquire information that may prove deadly to her gang."
"So she must be racing for the Spiders."
"But if Inuyasha knew that she was racing,"Kagura stated, "then he'd have only two options to himself. Get distracted by past memories, or refuse to race."
"And if the Inus don't win, then the Spiders or the Wolfs can control the Demon Underworld,"Miroku contemplated.
"We half to inform Inuyasha,"Kagura stood up.
"No. If we tell him, then we risk the chance of him not racing at all. At least if he finds out at the destination then he'd be put on a spot where he c cannot dissapoint his clan,"Miroku stated.

Sesshomaru knocked on a door lightly. Inside, a soft voice answered with a "Come in."
"Rin,"Sesshomaru stated.
"Yes?"asked the young raven haired girl.
"Tonights the race,"Sesshomaru said, sitting down on the couch where Rin slept while staying at the garage office.
"I know,"she said in a regular tone.
"I wanted to let you know that I love you."
"I love you too, Sesshomaru,"Rin smiled gently. Sesshomaru paced over to her. Rin noticed the paniced sort of look on his face. Upon closer contact she noticed that the touch of his skin was hot, and he was blushing lightly on his face.
"Is something wrong Sesshomaru?"Rin asked.
"Rin,"Sesshomaru began looking Rin in the eyes.
"Yes?"she asked.
Then she noticed his intentions.....as he dropped down to one knee and pulled out a black velvet case. Rin breathed in heavilly.
"Oh my god,"she said. Tears of happiness were brimming to her eyes.
"Rin Parks. Will you do me the greatest honor of being my wife?"he asked. Rin studyed him for a half a second while making her already obvious decision. He had such deep love for her.
"YES!"she practically shouted. Sesshomaru slipped the ring, a white gold band with small diamonds around it, connecting to a large emerald cut, just had to be real, large diamond.
She threw her arms around Sesshomarus neck happilly and smothered him with kisses. Some of them reached his neck, others his cheek, but he did his best to catch them on his lips which held a large smile of true happiness. Her squeals of joy were bringing him pure bliss.
This continued on for at least a few short minutes before things quieted down.
"Kick ass tonight,"Rin whispered in his ear. He nodded and with that he left the room. Rin smiled and waved when he turned around to view her. When he closed the door she looked at her ring and then placed her hand on her stomach.
"I'm going to be a mother...and a wife,"she smiled.

Kagome sat down in the office of the garage holding up cards. She was playing against Nina, as her twin Aiji was loading a heavy, at least two hundred pound, gun into a black van.
"Do you think things will get hostile at the races?"Kagome asked Nina.
"We're at the peak of a gang war. This race determines who rules over the gang world. We half to protect that title when we win,"Nina answered.
"That's if we win,"Kagome suggested.
"We will win,"Nina said. "We don't have a choice."
Inuyasha walked in. He greeted Kagome by walking behind Nina.
"She doesn't have anything,"Inuyasha smiled. Nina growled and balled her fist. She shot it back knocking him in the gut. He fell backwards.
"Eh, he's right, I got nothing,"Nina smiled. Kagome couldn't help but giggle. She walked over to Inuyashas side and helped him up.
"I feel sorry for whoever marries her,"Inuyasha said.
"They seem quite fine,"Kagome smirked.
"Ninas the worse,"Inuyasha noted.
"Only because she punched you in the gut,"Kagome noted.
"Well, I got to get ready,"Inuyasha said.
"Me too,"Kagome agreed.
The race was in three hours and the Inus were determined to win.

Riley: Short. Sweet. Simple. But it sets the course for the race.
Inuyasha: Hopefully that will be better than the other race chapter.
Riley: Oh trust me, it will! Read and Review if you liked it please!
