Reason to Live

Kagome stood there facing the water. The salty air was a little calming considering what had just happened to her. Her heart had been ripped from her chest and thrown on the ground like a useless toy. The only reason she stayed in Tokyo was because of him. She fought for his heart for 3 years, only to have him reject her.

"Inuyasha." Kagome sighed his name. He caused her so much agony today. The wind calmed and the ocean seemed eerie as a light fog floated over it. Kagome could hear her heart beating at a steady pace. Thu-Thump. Thu-Thump. Thu-Thump. It contracted with her breathing.

She remembered his heartbeat when she hugged him or when he picked her up and walked around with her. Kagome let a sad laugh escape her pink lips. They had been meant for each other. He was not supposed to be with her sister. Never.

She wanted it all to end. All the pain, the agony and the misery. Kagome reached in her back pocket and pulled out a little knife. She flipped it open and it glittered in the moonlight. She rolled up her sleeve and slowly pushed the knife to her shoulder. She carved and `I'. Then she moved lower down her arm and wrote an `N'. The blood slid down her pale skin land on the wood. It went through the cracks of the pier and dripped into the quiet ocean. Kagome somehow couldn't feel the pain anymore; she thought it was because her arm was numb.

There was a `U' and then `Y'. Now Kagome's light blue shirt was stained with crimson liquid. She didn't care. All Kagome wanted was for it all to end. A tear slid down her face falling onto her wound.

`A.'

`S.'

`H.'

`A' Kagome smiled when she carved the last letter into her bloody arm. At least now he would know he was in her last thought. Kagome put the knife over her wrist. This was it, no more pain she thought. She was about to bring the knife down on herself when a cold hand caught hers. Before she could look back a finger pressed to her neck and she feel limp.

"He's not worth it." Said a cold voice behind her. He looked down at her. There was no way she would survive with that amount of blood lose. There was only one thing to do.

He bent down his face close to her neck. His long silver hair forming a curtain around the two. He opened his mouth revealing long fangs. He bit down on hardly on her neck. She tasted good to him but he had to before he took too much. Slowly he removed his teeth from her. He took one of his red nails and ran it over his palm. A thin layer of crimson appeared. He pressed his palm to his lips. Kagome's body shook violently for a few minutes before she fell limp again.

He scooped her up and flew upwards.

After about 45 minutes of flying he came to a stop at a shield only things like him could see. No human could ever see it. It shimmed orange. "Sesshoumaru. Rank Jidik." Said the cold voice.

"Identity Confirmed." Said a voice from nowhere. The shield rippled and an opening appeared ad he floated in. It closed behind him.

He decided to walk now. People moved all around him. Someone ran into him and he almost dropped Kagome. He let out a Warning growled and the person got the idea.

"Oh I'm sorry Sir. It won't happen again." A girl said hoping he wouldn't kill her then and there, Jidik's were allowed to do that.

"What are you name and rank?" Sesshoumaru said emotionlessly.

"S-Sango Hiraikotsu. Galt." Sango said shakily.

Before Sesshoumaru could respond a boy walked up and put a hand on Sango's shoulder. "Hey Sango-ohhhhhh." The boy let the last part come out in a weird tone seeing Sesshoumaru standing there with a new charge in his arms. "Sorry to interrupt." HE said looking at his feet. "Sango what did you do?" He whispered towards her.

"State your name and rank." Sesshoumaru barked at the boy.

"Miroku Kazzana (Somehow I just know that's not how you spell it). Galt." He said again looking at his feet.

"You'd both do well to stay out of my way or next time you'll walk away missing a body part." Sesshoumaru said walking away towards Kagome' new chambers.

He set her down and covered her up with blood red sheets and she had black pillows. "Sleep well Kagome for tomorrow you learn." Sesshoumaru said before closing the door and leaving her alone.

In the middle of the night Kagome shot bolt up write. She was drenched in sweat from a nightmare and she didn't know exactly where she was. "This isn't where I left me." Kagome said to herself.

She got up and stretched her arms out in front of her only to put them down when she realized that she could see fairly good in the dark. Kagome maneuvered around some furniture and finally got to the door. She went to open it and got zapped back by a powerful blast. An orange glow covered the perimeter of the room preventing her from doing anything. Kagome backed up to the edge of the bed and looked at the glow with wide eyes.

Suddenly the door burst open and weird people floated in. One of them pointed a finger at her and lightning crackled towards her. Kagome's hands shot up over her face as protection but what happened was more like a violent defense.

Her hands glowed a purplish blue color and shot towards the man. He flew towards the door going out the way he came. His companions gain on her. The glow spread from her hands to around her body putting her in a bubble. The man fired their lightning and all it did was bounce back at them. They all flew in different directions. Then another man walked in his silver hair flowing behind him like his own cloud.

"Wench! Hold you fire." He bellowed making Kagome flinch. As she did her glow expanded growing tentacles and the room was suddenly filled with it's light.

"What did you do to me?!" Kagome yelled as her defense started to frighten her.

A look of realization dawned on Sesshoumaru's normally impassive face. "Take it easy. Nobody wants to hurt you. Calm down." He said coolly.

The glow slowly declined into her body. All that was left was in her now blue/purple eyes. Kagome fell to her knees. "What the hell did you do to me?" She said quietly looking up into his gold pools.

"Nothing. You had this before I turned you." He said shrugging his shoulders.

"What do you mean turned me?" Kagome said narrowing her eyes.

"Perhaps you should sit down." Sesshoumaru said nodding towards the bed. Kagome stood up with defiance.

"Baka. I'm just fine where I am." She said holding her chin up.

"Fine have it your way wench. When I walked up to you, you were about to kill yourself for my hanyou half brother. He wasn't and still isn't worth enough for you to take your life over so I stopped you. You had lost to much blood so I had to turn you into something like me." Sesshoumaru said as if it where an everyday occurrence.

"And what exactly are you?" Kagome questioned.

"A vampire." He said coldly.

"So you're saying that you're a vampire and now I am too?" Kagome said holding back fits of laughter. He nodded.

"Dude what the fuck are you smoking?" Kagome yelled as she giggled.

Sesshoumaru stared at her not in the slightest bight amused. When Kagome regained her composure she looked at him. "What time is it?"

"Dawn. That's why you got attacked. No vampire once in their room is allowed to leave during the day if they haven't been here 48 hours." He said not giving her a second glance as he walked off. "Follow me."

Kagome obediently followed him out into a huge hallway. Outside there were people about, but not very many. Kagome saw a guy fall to the ground because he slipped. A little stream of blood trickled from his mouth. `Clumsy idiot. His blood looks sour though…WAIT A DAMN MINUTE WHEN DID I START NOTICING `THOSE' THINGS???' Kagome thought. She stated to believe Sesshoumaru and what he said about her being a vampire.

Sesshoumaru came to an abrupt stop, Kagome lost in thought ran right into him. He turned around and rose and elegant eyebrow. Kagome jumped at least 10 feet away blushing furiously. He turned back around and smirked, but then regained his emotionless mask.

Kagome reached to tap his shoulder and felt a searing pain in her arm. She hissed in pain and looked at her arm. There from that night was a scar of what she had carved into her arm. It was glossed over from dried blood making it look very morbid. Yet no one who passed her seemed to give it a passing glance. Kagome ran her fingers over the wound. Her claws accidentally reopening it, but she didn't notice. Kagome was too busy remembering what made her mutilate herself.

~Flashback~

"Dad where are my clothes?" Kagome yelled down the hall.

"There are in the wash." Greg yelled back.

"What about my clean clothes are they in the wash too?" Kagome asked. She was going on a date in an hour and she needed her clothes.

"Yup. Kikyo said that they smelled like Inuyasha had lived in your closet!" Greg said walking down the hall.

"LIKE HELL! My clothes smelled just fine and Inuyasha has never been in my closet. Did you even check is she was lying! Why the hell was she in my room!" Kagome yelled.

Kagome's dad was leaning against the frame of her bedroom door. "Watch your mouth. Inuyasha has not and will not ever be in your closet and why would I not believe your sister? She was in your room looking for some C.D.s." He said calmly.

"Don't call her my sister." Kagome spat. "Daddy you know she likes Inuyasha, didn't it ever cross your mind that she didn't want us to go out?" Kagome asked giving him puppy dog eyes.

"Nope." He said kissing her forehead. "Why does this date matter so much to you?" Greg asked.

"Because I'm going to tell Inuyasha I love him." Kagome said looking at her feet.

"My little girl." Kagome's father said as he walked outa of her room. An hour passed and she had found a nice outfit her mom had when she was her age. It was a leather mini skirt with black frills at the end. The top was a red tank top that said in black `You can talk all you want. My money was well spent on earplugs.' The doorbell rang and Kikyo opened it.

"Hello Inuyasha." Kikyo said sweetly.

"I'll be down in a sec Inuyasha." Kagome yelled down the stairs to her boyfriend.

"I'll wait outside he yelled back." As he walked out Kikyo linked his arm.

"I go with you. No need for you to be alone out here." She said innocently. About 2 minutes later Kagome came out the front door to see Inuyasha kissing Kikyo who was on his lap.

Tears pricked Kagome's eyes as she saw that. She muffled a cry and started running away.

"Kagome!" She heard Inuyasha yell. She didn't dare look back. He knew she hated her sister. He knew the only reason she was in America was because she was visiting her dad. He knew he was the only reason she stayed. Kagome reached ran for what seemed like ever before she reached the pier. She sat on the edge and let the salty air wash over her broken body.

~End Flashback~

Kagome let the tears fall freely now not caring what the man standing above her thought. Kagome got light headed from crying too hard a fell down to the floor. She had fainted from remembering all the pain.

Sesshoumaru had the urge to roll his eyes at the sight before him. This teenager lying on the floor unconsously crying while she slept. A tear slid down her cheek and plopped on the marble floor. The blood from her arm slowly streaming onto the floor. To anyone with a weak stomach they would've probably thrown up. He would have to wait to do what he wanted. Someone would take her back to her room.

The boy and girl that had encountered him earlier walked by laughing and talking then a slap echoed through the halls.

"Kazzana! Hiraikotsu! Come here now." The 2 walked over fear radiating off there bodies. "I want you to this girl to room 13. Take care of her and mend her wounds. Find me when she awakens. Go now!" He said as they picked her up and took her back to the room.

Sango set Kagome on the bed carefully. She backed away and looked at her. "Poor girl." Sango said glancing at Miroku. "Look at her arm." She said pointing at the mildly bleeding wound.

"It was either attempted suicide or someone's sick fun." Miroku said kneeling by Kagome's side.

He started cleaning it while Sango left to get entertainment from their rooms.

"Any change Oku? Did she wake up?" Sango said as she walked back in the room with magazines.

"Nope. Still sleeping like a rock." Miroku said grabbing his mags from Sango.

They settled in their chairs and read `till they both fell asleep.

*~*Kagome's Dream*~*

Kagome ran through the long hallway towards the fading light. There were doors on either side of her, but she knew something bad was behind each and everyone. Kagome stopped to catch her breath and a gleam about ten feet in front of her caught her blue/purple eyes. It was radiating from under a door. Kagome stepped forward and place a pale hand on the handle.

Kagome felt a bolt of energy and she opened the door. On the other side she saw something that made her blood run cold. She never thought of these memories.

Her father was a very powerful businessman. He was well respected in the public's eye, but not Kagome's. When he got home he would drink for most of the night.

He would have rages. He would never take his anger out of Kikyo, just her.

One night he came home already angry. The beer made it much worst. He came into Kagome's room with his belt. Kagome had her back to the door and didn't see him come in so that made him even more furious.

Greg walked up and yanked her from her chair by her shoulder. Kagome hit the ground hard with a thump. She had tears streaming down her face. She wasn't crying because it hurt, she was crying because he did it and it was meant to hurt her (That's why I cry whenever my parentals hit me at least). She inched back into a corner her hands up in defense.

She curled herself into a ball hoping and praying he would go away. He didn't. Greg walked forwards and took her wrist and yanked her up. He put her other wrist up with the other and held the belt above his head. He brought it down on her back causing Kagome to scream out in pain.

He hit Kagome on the back many more times before he stopped and looked her in the eye. Then he dragged Kagome into the exercise room and tied her to a very high bar. He left her there for the whole weekend. Her arms were limp from having them in the air for so long and her legs numb from standing.

Kikyo knew she was in there and she would come in work out and then leave her there. Kagome was also starving from lack if food. When he brought her back to her room he tied her to her bed and took a knife out.

"You know you're the reason your mother left me?" He said sliding the blade lightly across her check. He put the knife back in his pocket and untied her. "If you tell her or anyone about this you'll end up with a lot more then a scratch or 2." Greg said as he left her room.

Kagome stood up trying to catch her breath. She was hyperventilating and she couldn't stop it. She slowly let the blackness wash over her and before she closed her eyes she saw 2 people sitting in her window. 2 white haired men to be exact.

*~*End Dream*~*

Kagome woke up breathing hard drenched in a cold sweat. She noticed the 2 people slumped in the chairs to her right. She ran over to them and picked Miroku up by the scruff of his shirt. "Where is he? Tell me dammit!" Kagome yelled as she shook Miroku awake. "Dammit tell me where Inuyasha's brother is!" She yelled as she let him drop to the ground.

"God Damn woman what the hell is the matter with you?!" Oku yelled as Sango helped him to his feet.

"I agree with the pervert for once what's the matter with you?" Sango said coolly.

"I'll be fine when you tell me where that Inuyasha's fucking bastard of a brother is!" She screeched at them.

"You mean Sesshoumaru? We will take you to him." Sango said walking outa the room.

After walking a little while they came to huge double doors, which could be opened with ease.

Sango and Miroku walked up to the desk were Sesshoumaru was sitting.

Sesshoumaru she's-." Miroku got cut off as Kagome pushed past them and looked Sess square in the eye.

"How hell could you sit there and watch what he did! How can look at me without feeling guilt! Any person even a thing like you could feel compassion! You and Inuyasha sat there and watched. How the fuck could do that?" Kagome yelled as she moved around to Sesshoumaru's side of the desk.

Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes into slits and looked at Kagome. Her aura was swirling around her and it was a blackish color. `She has no idea of her true power.' He thought to himself. "You have a lot of nerve coming into my sanctuary and talking to me like this. My brother and I are vampires. We are sworn to protect Mikos such as you. I restrained my brother from killing your father many times. I personally have a hatred for Greg, but if we made our presence known you would kill us. Yes we do know of your secret." Sesshoumaru said letting anger and sadness flicker across his face.

"How do you know my secret? I hid to the rest of the world. I've hid it since my parents separated." Kagome said her anger rising ever so higher by the moment.

"I've been watching you since you were born. Imagine my surprise when I heard Inuyasha was you boyfriend. He didn't you were a Miko until I told him. He had to mess things up though. He let his hormones get the best of him with Kikyo. Baka!" Sesshoumaru spat the last part as if it was goona give him a bad taste.

Kagome was about to say something when the double doors flew open. SESSHOUMRU! WERE THE FUCKING HELL IS KAGOME! I found her scent with yours mixed in now where is she!" Inuyasha yelled. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Kagome standing in front of him. She had fangs, claws and her hair was streaked with red.

"Try not to drool." Sesshoumaru said sardonically.

"K-Kagome." Inuyasha stumbled over his words.

"Save it. I don't want to be any part or this. I may be a freak but I'm not gonna let you ruin my life anymore." Kagome said walking towards the doors.

"Like hell you're leaving." Sesshoumaru said. He ran at her trying to stop her from getting to the door.

Kagome held her hands up and shot purple at him. Sess flew back into a wall.

"Stay away from me." Kagome said calmly.

"Kagome wait please!" Inuyasha said reaching a hand towards her. She backed away from it as if it were poison. "I'm sorry. Please forgive me and Kikyo."

"You're forgiven for kissing Kikyo." Kagome said giving him an evil yet said smile.

"Thank you." He said coming forwards to give her a hug. Again she recoiled.

"But you're not forgiven for watching me be hurt and in pain." Kagome said sadly. Her hands glowed again and she blew a hole in the ceiling and she floated upward.

"You told her about that! You BAKA! Now she'll never forgive me!" Inuyasha screamed at Sesshoumaru.

"She'll come back." He said picking himself off the floor. "She can't survive on her own."

*~*With Kagome*~*

Kagome walked around the streets and came to the mall. `It's time for a change. I won't be poor little prep anymore.' She walked through the double doors and spent all of her money. Kagome had gone punk. She actually found some friends too; she met them in Hot Topic (That's where I shop). Their names were Kouga, Kanna, Kagura and Naraku. They were helpful in giving her an original style. Only she was part of their group now so they had something along the lines of her style.

Kagome was sitting in the food court with sipping a coke when Hojo walked up. He was a little shocked to see her and what she was wearing. Kagome had on baggy camo cargo pants with chains hanging from the sides, a tight red shirt that said `Piss Off' and she dyed her hair silver with black and red streaks.

"Kagome? Is that you?" Hojo asked walking up to her.

"I'm in no mood Hojo." She said turning back to her friends.

"Your father's is worried sick about you. So was I. You've been missing for a week!" Hojo yelled at her.

"Kagome are you not telling us something." Kouga putting his arm around her shoulder.

"Tell ya later." She said looking back at a dumbstruck Hojo. "Look my monkey fucking father can just go to hell. Him and Inuyasha are the reason for this." Kagome said lifting her sleeve up showing a scar of Inuyasha's name.

Hojo backed up with a horrified expression. "Why the hell did you do that to yourself?"

"Because of him and heartbreak." Kagome said getting up.

"Kagome you have to come home. Your family loves you."

"Hojo shut your mouth! You know nothing of my family. Greg tied me up for 2 days and left me in a room. You wanna know what Kikyo did? NOTHING! She walked in and outa of that room and left me there. My father threatened my life. She stole my boyfriend and my first love! And you're telling me they love me? LIKE HELL!"

"Kagome you still have to go back. You have responsibilities."

"I'll go back when my father turns himself in." Kagome said smirking.

"Fine then I'll tell him where you are." Hojo said pulling out a cell phone. Kagome kicked it out of his hands.

"You tell anyone about this and I'll suck you dry." Kagome said baring her sharp fangs. "Then I'll cut you up in so many pieces people will be finding you for decades to come." She said flexing her claws to get the point across.

Hojo turned and ran.

Kouga and the rest stared at her with amazement.
"You're a youkai?" Naraku asked with interest.

"Vampire Miko." She said looking to see if anyone else knew who she was.

"Kagome will you be my girl?" Kouga asked Kagome with pleading eyes.

"Of course!" Kagome said giving him a friendly look. He wrapped an arm around her waist and they walked around a bit more.

A shriek was heard and Kikyo came running up to Kagome with Inuyasha at her side. A feral growl escaped her mouth as they neared.

"See Inuyasha there she is, now lets go shopping." Kikyo said as they got over to them.

"Goodbye Kikyo I wasn't here for you." Inuyasha said giving her a death glare. "Kagome Sesshoumaru, Miroku, Sango and I were worried about you. You have to make a kill or else you'll die. It will hurt too."

"Then I'll have to kill someone." Kagome said flicking her eyes over to where Kikyo stood. Inuyasha moved in front of her.

"Thank you Inuyasha you just confirmed something for me." She said sadly.

"And what was that?" Inuyasha said narrowing his eyes.

"That if I was about to die and had to feed you would let me die to protect Kikyo." Kagome said pain lacing her voice.

"See Kagome, I proved you wrong on the night you were going to tell Inuyasha that you loved him. You can never get a guy to love you." Kikyo said putting an arm around Inuyasha.

"That maybe so but at least I'm a pure Miko." Kagome said calmly. "Come on guys lets blow." Kagome said.

Naraku was lifted on a purple smoke, Kanna sucked herself into her mirror and flew away and for Kagura a huge feather appeared and lifted her up. Kouga picked Kagome up bridal style and left in a whirlwind.

"Dammit Kikyo." Inuyasha said moving away from her.

Everyone landed in front of a mansion. "Wow." Was all Kagome said.

"Hey Gammie want to live with us?" Kanna asked with an emotionless voice.

"Why not. This is gonna be fun." Kagome said as she walked towards the doors.

She entered the building and it was almost just like the vampire castle; very very big.

"Come on Gammie I'll show you your room. It's over this way where the girls rooms are." Kagura said leading her off with Kanna.

Kagome set her bags down on the bed and looked at her watch. It was still early and she wanted to take a walk. Get to know this part of town.

"I'm taking a walk. Or maybe a fly." Kagome said as she flew outa an open window leaving Kanna and Kagura to stare at her fleeting form.

Kagome walked around and she found herself at Greg's house. She looked through the window and there was Greg eating dinner with Kikyo and Hojo.

"Mr. H. I have to tell you something. I saw Kagome today. She's not well she's hanging out with the Jinx gang. You know the most fierce gang in Japan? Also I think she's dating one of them. She's tried to kill herself too." Hojo said leaving out all the other things she said to him.

Kagome snarled and watched on.

"Well if she wants to be a delinquent then let her stay on the streets." Greg said looking over at Hojo.

Kagome had had enough she was about to break the window out when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to see piercing blue eyes.

"Lets make them hate us." Kouga said dipping his head down for a kiss.

He captured her lips in a searing kiss. They drew a part and headed towards the front door their arms around each other's waist tightly.

Kagome opened the door and walked in like nothing had ever happened. She and Kouga walked through the kitchen and got gasps.

"Where have you been Kagome?" Greg said nicely.

"Out." Was her response as they headed towards the kitchen? By then Hojo was long gone and Kikyo was hiding in a corner.

"Young Lady asks your friend to leave so I can talk to you." Greg said raising his voice a notch.

"I'm afraid I won't leave. Sorry." Kouga said giving fake sad smile.

"Get out of our house you demon!" He yelled at him.

"Don't worry Greg we'll be out soon enough. I'm just grabbing a few things." Kagome said as she started up the stairs.

"You will not be leaving again. After the stun you pulled you're lucky I don't slap you." Greg said calming his voice.

"No you don't get it! I don't live in this hellhole any more! As for you slapping me you done much much worse." She stated getting to her room. She got her things and went downstairs to see Kouga towering over Kikyo when a very pissed Inuyasha showed up.

"Get away from her." He growled.

"And what if I don't?" Kouga taunted.

"Kouga lets go he's not worth it." Kagome said kissing him on the lips. "Bye daddy dearest see you in hell! Let's go home my little rabid wolf puppy."

"Lets." He said and in a gust of wind they were gone in to the night.

Kagome and Kouga reappeared about a mile away laughing their heads off. They had just pissed off one of the most powerful vampires in Japan and it was fun.

"Okay I think we should head back." Kouga said between gasps of air.

"Did you plan on telling me about Jinx?" Kagome asked as if it were an everyday conversation.

"Ummmmmm…well yeah eventually. Do you want to be a part of the gang? I would put your life in danger." Kouga said worry hinting his voice.

"You forget Kouga. Vampires are already dead therefore have no lives to put into danger. Just an existence." Kagome stated matter-of-factly.

"Okay. I'll talk to the rest and I they think you should be in, you're in." He said giving her a warm hug.

*~*Two Days Later*~*

"We think you will be a good addition to the group. Your miko powers can work to our advantage, but there's one condition your blood and the blood of a member must be mixed. We are all mixed. Me to Kagura, Kagura to Kanna and Kanna to Kouga so that means you to and Kouga will be mixed in 6 days." Naraku said coolly as he watched her emotions flow through her eyes. `Will you or will you not mix your blood my little miko?' Naraku asked as he invaded her mind.

Kagome jumped when she heard him in her mind then sent him an icy glare. Kagome put up her mind walls and will her mind shot Naraku will a purple ball sending him into a nearby wall.

"Do not go places you are not welcome for you will not like the result." Kagome said her voice void of all emotion.

Naraku have with demon speed pinned her to a wall by the neck. "Listen you bloodsucking bitch. I could snap your neck right now and nobody would care. Not even your own family." Naraku hissed in her ear.

Kagome showed no surprise when he pinned her just amusement. "But you won't." She said plainly.

"Are you so sure?" He asked dropping her on the ground.

"Look baka you need me you just said it. Whereas I don't need you I could just pour holy water on myself and end my life and then you would be out a miko. I have no use for life yet you have one for it." She said glaring at him.

"Maybe I'll just kill you little hanyou. You're his reason for living." Naraku said watching worry and sadness drift and then fade away in her eyes.

"He means jackshit to me. Plus he cheated on me." Kagome said walking away from him and out the door. But before she got there she yelled over her shoulder, "A word to the wise Naraku, don't play cards you don't have." With that she left to make her first kill.

"What the hell just happened?" Kouga asked dumbfounded.

"Your girlfriend will be of great use to us and killing our enemies." Naraku answered walking out of the room as if nothing happened.

Kagome walked the streets thinking about everything that happened. Her life was truly screwed, how is a person like her gonna make it this. She used to faint at the sight of blood, now she has to live off of it. Lady Fate has a cruel sense of humor. Kagome's thoughts turned to Inuyasha and his betrayal. Cruel humor indeed. Kagome whirled around and punched a brick wall as hard as she could. It crumbled under the attack and pieces clinked on the ground. She brought back her fist and looked at her torn flesh. `At least I can still bleed.' She thought smiling sadly.

Kagome heard footsteps behind her and she didn't even bother to look back. She was not worried if they had been following her they know what she did to the wall. A hand came down on her shoulder. "You smell like the Jinx gang." A husky voice said.

"Yeah and you smell like shit." Kagome replied bluntly turning around to face the man. He had on a green shirt that said `Buzz off Piss Worm' thrown across it in silver letters.

"You smell like them and for that you die!" He planted his fist square in her jaw dislocating it instantly. Kagome staggered back and put her hand on her jaw and pushed it back in place.

"Anything else you want to annoy me with?" Kagome asked rolling her eyes. Instead of answering her charged at her his arms outstretched. Kagome used his speed to flip him over her shoulder. He threw his head back trying to get out of an arm lock.

It exposed his neck clean and untouched. Kagome couldn't control her instincts and her fangs grew out and she sank her teeth into him. His blood was sour and tasted like dry soap. He went limp in her arms and stopped breathing.

Kagome let him fall to the ground with a thump and closed her eyes regretting what she had done. Silent tears streaked her face plopping on the ground. She looked at her hands, at her claws. They were black with a purple stripe down the middle and had grown longer. She thought she was a monster in a human from. `God what have I done?' She thought to herself.

Kagome let out an earpeircing screech before speeding off towards the pier. She watched thing blur past her and she didn't look back just forward towards the ocean.

When Kagome came to a stop a thin layer of sweat appeared on her forehead causing her hair to stick to her pale face. Drying her tears she sat down in the same spot it all started. Why couldn't just let her kill herself? He had to interfere didn't he? She could've been in peace now, instead of anguish. She half wanted to kill herself but the other was happy that she had Kouga with her. If it weren't for Inuyasha she would've never met him, what a sad twist of fate.

Coldness filled the air and she turned around to see the stoic face of Sesshoumaru himself standing behind her.

"What do you want?" Kagome asked turning back around.

"My reasons are my own. Come with me." He said grabbing her arm. Kagome wrenched back he let go and she fell into the water.

Kagome held her broth and looked around under the pier. There was a glint under seaweed and Kagome saw her knife washed of her blood. The she saw something out of the corner of her eye. It was a glowing pink ball. She swam over and picked it up. A glow surrounded her and the ball glowed brighter.

Time seemed to slow down Kagome could almost make out here nonexistent heart beat and rhythmic breathing. Thu-thump. Thu-thump. Thu-thump. She cupped the jewel in her hands and felt a warm sensation wash over her. The water bubble around her and it got a degree warmer.

Kagome's mind went blank and she closed her eyes and a vision filled her head.

There she was all punked out with Kouga walking by her side. They were walking down a street were everyone of the buildings were burning. Apartments, houses and businesses. Dead bodies were everywhere scorched and burned. The smell horrid. Kouga took her hand as they walked.

Out of flame and shadow a man in a cloak walked out. His smile evil and cruel. "Kukukuku." He laughed.

Two demons came behind Kouga and her and attacked. The man paralyzed Kouga and Kagome was left to fight by herself. She took out a knife and gutted one of the beasts and then licked the blood from the knife.

Kagome got behind the other and slit his throat. Kagome smiled evilly and looked around to find the man but all she heard was his voice. "You're very strong my little miko." The voice faded as it said the last word.

"Naraku get back here you bastard!" Kagome yelled into the night.

Kagome was torn from her thoughts as Sesshoumaru brought her back out of the water and onto the pier. "Give me the ball." He said reaching for it.

"No. You cannot have it." She said putting a shield around herself.

"Bitch!" He hissed as she floated away pondering what she just saw.

Kagome looked at the warm ball in her hand and she wondered if it was a vision or it showing her her worst nightmare. She walked for a while and found herself in front of her old school. Still the same only missing signs of her stapled on every post.

Kagome walked up the steps and sat down and held her head up with her hands. She sat like that for hours. The night was long gone and school was going to start in a bout an hour.

People slowly arrived staring at Kagome. Some whispered and pointed others just glared at her for pulling something like running away.

A motorcycle gang pulled up in front of the school and it was no other then Nara and the others. Kouga got off first and ran towards her.

"Are you alright you didn't come back we thought maybe Traka got you." Kouga said pulling her into a hug.

"And Traka is?" Kagome asked.

"Our rival gang." Kanna said walking up with the rest.

"Oh I ran into one. I sucked him dry but he tasted really bad." Kagome said making a face.

"Hey just to be safe I think we should mix our blood now or else I can't guarantee your safety." Kouga said giving a worried look. He pulled out a knife and made a cut a across his palm. Kagome did the same and they clasped their hands together. Kagome felt lighted headed and then she felt normal like nothing happened.

She took her hand and whipped it on her pants although it didn't leave a mark.

People around them started to whisper and Kagome snarled and they all shut up. A six-point star appeared on Kagome's forehead and that was the only difference since she already had other demon traits.

"I'm going to school with you." Kouga stated.

"And so are we." Naraku said coldly.

"M'kay." Kagome said putting the ball in her pocket.

They all jumped as the bell rang and they walked in with the rest. Kagome walked to her locker and got her stuff. Always behind her were the Jinx's looking for any Trakas. Kagome entered her first period class and got gasps.

"Miss Kagome nice for you to join us. May I ask who are your friends and why aren't you wearing your uniform. Also do you know we don't allow shirts that say those kinds of things." The teacher said looking at her shirt.

"She is part of our gang and we stay together. Therefore that's why were here." Kagura said her voice dripping with venom.

The whispers started and Kagome lost it. "If you have something to say, say it to my fucking face or shut you shit holes!" Kagome yelled.

"Kagome we will have no such language now take your seat we will discussing this after class." The teacher said angrily.

"Whatever." Kagome said walking to her while her gang walked over and sat on the windowsill.

About half way through the class Kouga got up and walked over to Kagome and whispered something in her ear.

"WHAT!!!!! NOT HERE!!!!!" Kagome screamed.

"Yes here and you have no way to protect yourself." Nara said walking to her side. He pulled something out of his pocket and handed it to Kagome. "You do know how to use one of these right?"

"No shit Sherlock." Kagome said bluntly.

"KAGOME GIVE ME THAT GUN THIS INSTANT!" The teacher yelled.

"What you rather have her die?" Kanna said coldly.

Before the teacher had time to respond Kagura yelled, "Jinxs' down now open fire!" Kagome crawled over to the window and it shattered above her.

People started screaming and ducking. More shots rang through the quiet neighborhood. Kagome set her gun and looked out the window and shot down 3 men.

Over the noise Kagome yelled, "What are the Trakas' doing here?"

"No clue." Kouga yelled back.

After about a half an hour things went silent. Kouga stood up to look out the window and got shot in his upper arm. He howled in pain and fell forwards. Inadvertently falling out of the window.

"KOUGA!" Kagome screamed jumping out of the three-story window to save him. He hit the ground and remained motionless.

Kagome landed next to him and franticly looked for a heart beat there was none.

"No dammit you can't die! I WON'T LET YOU!" Kagome said purple emanating from her body. She out her hands to his chest and jump-started his system with energy.

Kagome watched as his chest slowly moved up and down. "Yes." She sighed.

"You shouldn't let your guard down little girl." An evil voice said. Kagome can face to face with the barrel of a gun she watched as it moved slowly to point at Kouga's head. The man pulled the trigger but Kagome jumped in front of it and got hit in the stomach. He fired again hitting her in the shoulder.

"Looks like you're out of bullets." Kagome whimpered gasping for air.

"So I'll use something else." He said pulling a knife out of his pocket. It was a butcher knife so it was really big.

"Go ahead I dare you." Kagome coughed up blood as she said this. He charged at her and rammed the knife right in her chest causing her to scream in pain. He twisted it in her heart and smiled. Kagome smiled back just as wickedly.

Seeing that she was not dying he said, "You're not human!"

"Give the man a prize." Kagome said driving her hand right through his chest. She came out on the other side holding his heart. Kagome dropped it and let him fall to the ground.

"Kagome you're amazing." Kouga said as Naraku finished off the rest. Kagome pulled the knife out of her chest and it dropped on the ground with a clang shortly followed by Kagome's from hitting the ground right next to it. "Kagome!" Kouga yelled running to catch her but failing.

"She isn't dead is she?" Kagura asked looking at Kagome's limp body.

"She was already dead. It will take a while but she will recover." Naraku said sounding actually concerned. "I can't believe she would give her life for him, I think she would do it for anyone of us. We can never let her go."

"She would." Kanna took out a mirror and said, "Look." The mirror misted over and it showed all the members in Kouga's situation and every time Kagome would do the same ting she just did.

"She is truly one of us. She killed 4 men today, that's pretty good for her first shoot out." Kagura said after they finished watching Kanna's mirror.

"We had better get her home and take care of her." Kouga said standing up with Kagome in his arms despite his injury.

"Wait I sense an emery coming from her but it's not her." Nara said walking towards her. He put his hand in her pocket and pulled out the ball.

"Oh My God." Kagura said.

"Is that what I think it is?" Kanna asked looking shocked.

"Yes. It's the Shikon no Tama. How the hell did she find this?" Nara said looking at the ball in his hands.

Kagome's body began to convulse and blood poured from her mouth about a minute after Naraku took the ball out of her pocket. Kagome's body got rapidly pale and cold.

"Naraku put that damn jewel back in her pocket it looks like her life force!" Kouga yelled.

Naraku stepped forward and put the ball back in her pocket and they went home.

Kouga set Kagome down on a bed and sat down next to her until she woke up he would stay in that spot.

*~*2 Days Later*~*

Kagome fluttered her eyes open and looked around. She was in someone's room looked like a guys judging from the things on the wall. She looked to her left and saw Kouga sound asleep next to her. Kagome smiled to herself and put a strand of his hair behind hid pointed ear.

He cracked one eye open and then his eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw Kagome was awake.

"Morning." She said sweetly.

Kouga hugged her tightly and said, "Oh thank god Kagome. You almost died because of me you know."

"Yeah I know. It was worth it." Kagome said giving his a quick kiss on the cheek before walking out of the room with a wolf at her heels.

"Hi everyone." Kagome said walking into the ballroom.

"You're awake?" Nara said nicely.

"Yup!" Kagome said cheerfully.

"Good give me the Shikon no Tama it is not something you should be messing with." Naraku said taking a step forward.

"Sesshoumaru said the same thing and I'm giving you the same answer, no. This jewel showed me something and I'm gonna find out if it's true or not then I may let you have it until then." Kagome took it in her hands a bright flash made everyone cover their eyes then Kagome was there and the ball was gone.

"Where is it?" Nara asked narrowing his eyes.

"I absorbed it. You'll have to kill me to get it out. It holds my deceased soul." Kagome said as her eyes saddened.

Naraku walked up to her and took her chin in his hands making her look her in the eyes. "Why are you sad?" He asked gruffly.

"It's not all of my soul. When I first started to date Inuyasha Kikyo took part of my soul as her own trying to kill me and it would've worked if I weren't a Miko too." Kagome said relive that horrible event.

"We will get it back." Kouga said putting his hands around her waist visibly telling Naraku to back away from her.

"Hey I got you a present." Kanna said walking into the room with a little black book. It read `Kagome' on the front in italic red letters.

"It's beautiful." Kagome said examining the book.

"It fits the person." Kouga said kissing her forehead.

"Thanks. Kuso! I still have to deal with school and after the stunt I pulled it's gunna be hell." Kagome said angrily.

"Don't worry we'll be with you." Kagura said popping out of nowhere.

"Thanks. Hey what time is it maybe I can still make it to school." Nara said she still had time and she was ready in about a milla second and out the door with the group staring at her back as she fled to school (Long sentence).

Kagome got of Kouga's bike and immediately felt the stares.

"Look we don't want grungies in this school. Don't you know that's what public school is for?" One of the kids yelled.

"Then why are you here?" Kagura questioned.

"Miss Kagome you will be seeing the principal after school for you punishment." A teacher said as she walked by her.

Kagome walked to her class and sat down. She took out the book and started writing in it.

Broken and beaten I sill long for your love.

For a while ever so short it was so pure and true.

Alas now I've seen the real you.

I put a seal on my love for hoping for it to go away.

But things just don't work that way,

I can still see you smirk in my mind.

The only thing that will make it go away is time.

Your feelings were so fake,

You played me as a fool,

Yet now you made me who I am.

New feelings glimmer in my heart,

Hoping and praying not to be shattered again.

Kagome shut the book smiling that she could write such depressing poetry since poetry was her assignment for that class.

Kagome sighed and came to a conclusion. School wasn't for her, at least not anymore. Today would be her last day. She would continue writing poetry because in the recent minutes it became her escape. If only it could last long. She sighed again and got up from her seat and felt the gazes again.

"Come on guys lets go. This crap isn't for and I can honestly say I'm never gonna use it." Kagome said her voice void of emotion.

"Miss Higurashi how exactly do you know that any time in your life you won't ever use this information?" The teacher asked shaking her head in disagreement.

"Because my life consists of taking lives and protecting my surrogate family." Kagome said as she started to walk for the door.

"Vampire." Someone in the room said. "You a vampire aren't you?" She asked again.

"Stand up and show yourself!" Kouga yelled.

A girl in the back of the room stood up and looked Kagome right in the eye. "Are. You. A. Vampire?" She repeated the words slowly and smoothly.

"Yes and who are you?" Kagome asked looking back into the cold gray eyes of the girl.

"My name is Krista and I think you are my sister." She said her eyes flashing a semi-happy look.

"Look I don't know what you problem but my father only had me and my other sister before my mom left and that's it." Kagome said wondering what this girl was talking about.

"Do you know someone named Sesshoumaru or Inuyasha?" Krista asked cautiously.

"Yeah what of it?" Kagome asked getting annoyed at her for asking her these questions.

"Oh my god. You a Miko Hun? And your sisters name starts with a `K'?"

"How the hell do you know I'm a Miko?!" Kagome roared at her walking up to her desk growling.

"Because so am I." To prove her point her hands glowed pink but then disappeared.

"Come with us." Naraku said grabbing the girl's wrist and walking out of the room.

The rest followed leaving a dumbstruck teacher and class.

When they were outside Kagome wasted no time asking questions. "How the hell do you know Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha and that I am a vampire for that matter?" Kagome screamed.

"For one Inuyasha was the one who turned me and two I'm a vampire too you know." Krista said as if it were the plainest thing in the world. "Kikyo's gonna be next. She's being turned by Onigumo."

Kagome narrowed her eyes and asked, "If we are sisters why are they turning all of us?"

"He didn't tell you did he? I'm betrothed to Inuyasha and you to Sesshoumaru and Kikyo to Onigumo." She said nicely.

"WHAT!!!!!!!!!!" Kagome screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Before our mother moved to Japan she set us up with those brothers to ensure our safety. I'm not very happy about it either." Krista said calmly.

"No way in hell I'm letting my girl marry that inukuru!" Kouga yelled.

"That's just way too bad because she is." Said a voice from the shadows. Then out stepped Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and some other guy Kagome thought must be Onigumo.

"You'll have to gat through us first." Kagura said moving in front of Kagome and Krista.

"Kagome are you alright?" Inuyasha asked looking over Kagura's shoulder.

Kagome glared and Kouga put a protective arm around her waist.

"ENOUGH! All of you my daughter is not to be claimed by anyone!" A very furious mans voice yelled.

"Dad? Why the hell are you here?" Krista said.

"I told you to never come back from Japan! You little bitch." Greg charged at Krista only to be knocked b back by Kagome. She had backhanded him leaving 3 claw marks across his face.

"That's for ruining my life." Kagome said quietly.

"You will die for that!" HE yelled getting up and pulling out a gun (He's drunk).

"You forget daddy I'm already dead." Kagome said looking him right in the eye.

"Fine then I'll do this." He turned the gun fastly and shot Sesshoumaru right in chest. He fell to the ground.

"GODDAMIT! Kagome please help me. He hasn't fed today and if he losses enough blood he will die. Please I know you can't let someone die." Inuyasha said running to his brother's side.

"Krista take care of dad." Kagome said running over to where Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru were. "How do we fix this?" Kagome asked.

"He needs blood." Inuyasha said looking scared for the first time in his life.

"Then give some!" Kagome yelled.

"You have to do it, I haven't fed either."

"Fine!" Kagome said. She picked Sesshoumaru's head up and put his mouth at the nape of her neck. He was barely conscious so he heard her say, "Bite."

He bit down hard and tasted her, the power was incredible. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her small body into him. Against her will Kagome's body stopped struggling and her instincts took over. She melted into him and he pulled her closer. Finally Sesshoumaru withdrew and looked at Kagome's pale face. "We are now each others. We are together forever." He said sincerely.

"Kagome!" Kouga yelled trying to get to her but Inuyasha held him back.

Kagome's star disappeared and was replaced by a crescent moon on forehead.

Kagome could fell something very different inside her like a power surge. Her body felt warm and sticky from sweat although it wasn't hot outside. She opened her eyes when she felt something warm on her lips. Sesshoumaru had a bleeding wrist and pressed it to her and out of instinct Kagome yelped. That meant she had accidentally opened her mouth. Now the crimson liquid washed over her fangs and tongue and the only thought Kagome had was he tasted better than the other guy.

"Gomen nasai, Kagome." Sesshoumaru said. He put a cold finger to her neck and Kagome fell into a welcoming darkness.

"Kouga, she is no longer yours to keep." Inuyasha said releasing him.

"Can someone help me here?" Krista asked out of no where, everybody turned to see Krista held back by her arm with a gun to her head.

"Give me Kagome or she dies." Greg said loudly.

"I think not." Onigumo said. With demon speed he body slammed him to the ground.

"Lets go." Sesshoumaru said.

"Wait! Inuyasha don't you care for Kagome?" Kanna said.

"Of course I do." Inuyasha responded.

"Then how are you gonna be happy with her sister?" Kagura asked looking very angry with Sesshoumaru.

"I love Kagome but now I know she's safe. Besides she's made it very clear that she doesn't love me anymore and that's my own fault." Inuyasha said sadly.

"You are not taking her." Naraku stated coolly.

"Watch us." Onigumo said. Purple smoke shot forth out of his hands and when it cleared they were gone.

"KAGOME!" Kouga yelled into the gray sky.

Sesshoumaru set Kagome on his bed and then pressed the same spot on her neck again.

Her eyes slowly opened. She ran her fingers through her silver locks and looked up to meet Sesshoumaru's golden orbs watching her every move.

"How do you feel?" He asked putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Like I was shot and stabbed again." Kagome responded dryly.

"WHAT!" Sesshoumaru roared.

"Calm down fluffy he's dead."

Sesshoumaru growled and pulled her up by her arms. He leaned down and kissed her hardly. His tongue flicked her bottom lip asking for entrance. She parted her lips and their tongues began a battle for domince. Sesshoumaru pulled back and looked into Kagome's purple eyes. "If anyone hurts you again I will personally rip their intestines out and feed it to them with ketchup and pickles."

"Very romantic." Kagome said getting up out of the soft bed. "I know what you did today. As much as it agitates me we are now mates and I have to love you. I can almost promise I will because I mean look at you, it will take time though. I hope you understand." She said looking at her hands very intently.

"I do and I'm glad you excepted your position." Sesshoumaru said walking to her side. He took her arm and they walked out into an all to familiar corridor. Although it was a different room Kagome could see the double doors she collapsed in front of.

"Today we start your training." Sesshoumaru said coolly as usual.

He opened the doors and they stepped into a huge inside dojo. Every weapon you could imagine was hung on those walls. Sesshoumaru walked swiftly to a double bladed sword and took it out of its place.

Without warning he ran at Kagome with it. She put her hands up and purple surrounded her. Sess' sword bounced off the shield with such force he staggered a little.

Kagome looked around and saw Inuyasha and Krista standing in the corner watching the show intently. With this audience Kagome felt like showing off a little (That's what I do when I'm dancing and someone walks in the class). A tentacle extended out of her shield and flew towards Sesshoumaru. He put up his sword and blocked it, but that left the rest of his body defenseless. Kagome forced another appendage out and tripped Sesshoumaru.

"Stop." He said coolly as he got up.

"Why you don't like it when you're losing?" Kagome said sarcastically. Just then Sesshoumaru used his speed and pinned Kagome to the wall by her neck.

"Never let your guard down." He hissed in her ear. It sent chills down Kagome's spine.

He let her down and Kagome let out a feral growl when she saw him smirk in her direction. That was not a good thing at all.

All of a sudden Kagome felt something hit the back of her head and she fell down.

"Now we will be doing hand to hand combat. You against Miroku." Sess said smoothly.

Kagome looked around to see Miroku with some gold staff and guessed that's what he hit her with.

Still in a crouching position she did a sweep kick and he stumbled back a little but he caught himself with his staff. Kagome jumped up and sent an energy ball straight at him. He hit it back with his staff and sent into a wall, it left a big hole. Oku charged at her his staff diagonal in front of him. He faked a head hit and hit her knees sending to the ground with colorful curses. Kagome glowed purple and sent out energy ripples that took everyone to the ground except the prince of ice.

Kagome took advantage of Miroku on the ground and she gave him a swift kick to the head. Now he was unconscious at her feet.

"Very good. When Miss Hiraikotsu finishes fondling Miroku then you will fight her." Sesshoumaru said looking over her should at where the 2 teens were.

"HENTAI!"

SMACK.

Sesshoumaru raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow. Another smirk graced his lips and he leaned against the wall.

"Sango proceed with the fight you can worry about your boyfriend later." Sesshoumaru said emotionlessly.

Sango blushed crimson and through grinded teeth said, "He is not my boyfriend." She took a fighting stance and took an over sized boomerang off her back. "BOOMERANG BONE!" She yelled the thing flew straight at Kagome's head.

Kagome shot some small energy balls at it and it only lost a little altitude. The boomerang collided with Kagome's stomach leaving a huge gash. Kagome screamed in pain and hit the ground.

"Focus and Inuyasha stay back." Sesshoumaru said shooting Inuyasha a cold glance.

Sango ran at Kagome with a dagger she pulled off the wall. Kagome put her hands up with her wrists crossed in front of her face. The dagger connected with her skin but instead of her flesh breaking the dagger broke all over the ground.

Sango looked at her with surprise but continued on with another attack. This time with a sword. Again she ran for Kagome when the sword was going to rip her skull in half she out her hands and caught the sword between her palms. The sword glowed a red color and Sango dropped it and stumbled backward hold burned hands.

"Very good. That's enough for today. Kagome see to your wound." Sesshoumaru said exiting the room.

Kagome growled and stood up with her arm around her waist. Her black shirt was now glinting with blood. "I'm going for a walk." Kagome said heading towards the door.

"What about your wound Sesshoumaru said for you to heal it." Inuyasha said sprinting over to her.

"I don't give a fly fuck what Sesshoumaru say right now and as for my wound it's none of your concern." Kagome snapped at him her voice dripping with malice.

She flew out of the room and landed in front of the mansion she couldn't go any further. There was a magical shield not letting her past.

"Kagome?" Someone asked from the other side.

"Who's there?" Kagome yelled back.

Out of the shadows Kouga stepped out with a very sad smile. "They took you Kagome they took you away from me." He said walking closer to the orange shield.

"I know. This isn't fair Sesshoumaru now has complete control of me. We can't be together anymore." Kagome said as a tear slipped down her cheek.

"No Kagome I love you. No no no no." Kouga whispered falling to his knees.

Kagome sat next to him on the other side crying silently. She put her hand on the shield. Kouga did the same. To anyone who wasn't looking carefully it just looked like they had their hands in the air flat to each other's, like they were in love and nothing could separate them. But a lot more then a shield separated them now.

"I'm forced to love him Kouga, forced." Kagome said more tears falling as she got up.

"Kagome I'm so sorry I couldn't stop this I shouldn't have let you help him. I should have given him blood not you. God I should have done something." He said his first tear hitting the ground. "Goodbye Kagome and always know I love you. If you ever need my help you have it and my heart." Kouga said walking back into the shadows.

"I love you to Kouga." Kagome whispered as she walked over and sat on a bench. "God how screwed up is my life?" She asked herself. Kagome suddenly realized that she had healed her wound somehow. `Great more power to learn how to use.' she thought.

After about 10 minutes she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up and Sesshoumaru was standing there looking down on her.

"Why are you sitting out in the cold?"

"Because I have no where else to go where I can be semi-calm." Kagome responded bluntly.

Before she knew what had happened Sesshomaru had her in his arms bridal style. Kagome let out an `epp' as he kicked the front doors open. He walked through the halls until he came to another door, which opened before for he did anything.

He set Kagome on a bed in the middle of the room. Kagome had fallen asleep in Sess' arms. He looked down at her and smiled. Less then 5 minutes ago she was full of pain and while in his arms let it all slip away. In his arms she found she found complete calmness, not semi.

He walked out of the room and found Inuyasha and Onigumo sitting in his study. Kikyo was sitting on Onigumo's lap looking quiet happy with herself.

"I see you turned the little wench." Sesshoumaru said breezing past them to sit behind his desk.

"Hey don't call me a…" Kikyo was cut off by Inuyasha.

"Shut up he'll call you what ever he wants. Plus the name fits." Inuyasha said rolling his eyes.

"Inuyasha watch your tongue with my woman or you'll wake up one morning without it." Onigumo said standing up holding Kikyo around the waist.

"Silence." Sesshoumaru said. "Why is it you all are in my study?"

"New threat. The weres want our side of the city and our protection barrier isn't gonna last very long." Inuyasha said sitting up in his chair.

"Is the city barrier stronger then the one that protects the castle?" Onigumo asked.

"Nope that means we're gonna have a battle to the death here pretty soon." Inuyasha said offhandedly.

"Bloody werewolves." Sesshoumaru muttered underneath his breath. "Okay lets meet them at the gates and give them a fight. Once we defeat them we will have their part of town and we can put up another castle for the more people we turn."

"Uh I don't want to fight." Kikyo said jumping up from Oni's lap.

"Then die." Kagome said walking into the room.

"How did you get in here?" Sesshoumaru asked.

"Lets see…the door." She answered sarcastically. "And I brought Krista."

There was Krista right behind Kagome smiling like no tomorrow. "Yeah! We get to kill those stupid wolves!"

Kagome let a low growl escape her lips as she heard the last part. "When do we leave?" She asked through clenched teeth.

"Tomorrow."

"I need weapons any kind that I can transfer my miko energy to." Kagome stated.

"Same for me." Krista said.

"Go to the dojo and take whatever you need while I ready our people for battle." Sesshoumaru said getting up and walking out of the room.

Kagome dragging Kikyo and Krista walked out of the room also heading towards the dojo.

"You know I think Kikyo is gonna die." Inuyasha said to Onigumo.

"So do I so I'm keeping her here. Tomorrow before we leave she'll be out cold." Oni said.

*~*The next day*~*

Kagome walked out of her room looking like a war goddess. She had on a purple breastplate with a light blue crescent moon embedded on it. Her silver hair flowed around her like it had a life of it's own. She had Sais crossed on her belt so she could grab them easily and a katana on her waist. Tucked under one sleeve she had star blades and the other she had poison daggers. On her back armor she had 2 staffs made out of demon bone just like Sango's boomerang. In her boots she had 2 very deadly sharp dragon blades made from a Hi Dragons teeth. (Fire Dragon).

"Shibai musume-san no senso." Sesshoumaru said watching her. (Means The Daughter of War). "You're very beautiful."

"Arigoto Sesshoumaru. As are you." (The rest are wearing clothes from the series).

"Let's move out." Sesshoumaru said walking out of the building. The sky was dark and only light by torches held by the army men. They came to the shield and there on the other side were werewolves waiting to attack. Sesshoumaru looked at one of the men and said, "Take the shield down. Everybody get ready!" He yelled Kagome looked around at the wolves and her eyes widened.

"YURI!" Kagome yelled but it was too late the battle had begun.

Kagome fought furiously swing her sword and her Sais everywhere. She was out of wolves by her to kill so she looked up the hill for more. There was another line of attackers coming. Kagome put her hands up in a pray position then purple shot out from her and killed the whole line.

Kagome was trying desperately to get to where the girl was but things kept her back. Kagome took out her bone staff and sliced through everything that got in her way and still couldn't get there.

"Vampires holt we are done here!" Kagome vaguely heard the voice but she kept killing trying to get to where the girl was.

"Kagome?" A familiar voice said. She whirled around and saw her target. This girl was no werewolf. She had light blue hair with white streaks. On top of her head where blue ears with red tips and she had the same colored tail. She had piercing blue eyes just like Kouga.

"Yuri." Kagome whimpered out. She ran at the girl and she embraced her. Tears running down both of their faces. "God I never thought I would see you again." Kagome choked out.

"Who the hell is that?" Sesshoumaru said from behind them.

"I am Yuri and am I to call you arrogant pompous jack-ass or are you going to tell me your name?" Yuri said pulling away.

Sesshoumaru snarled at her and looked at her. "Answer the question wench."

"This is my daughter Yuri."

Everybody stared at her. "I thought you were a virgin." Inuyasha said bluntly.

"I am baka do you think I'm whore? Don't answer that. I found Yuri on the streets in Japan injured and dying so I took care of her." Kagome said sending Inuyasha a death glare.

"After that I considered her to be my mother." Yuri interjected. "I am a wolf youkai so that's why I was with them, there is one other like me here. He and his demon friends his name was Kouga or something. I don't know if her survived though he seemed distracted."

Kagome's heart constricted when she heard that.

"So Kagome I see you are mated, who's the dude that made his life a living hell?" Yuri asked playfully punching her in the arm.

"Me." Sesshoumaru said smirking.

A howl was heard and it was mournful. Kagome thought she knew who it was but had to make sure. She speed off in the direction of the sound with Yuri at her heals.

She skidded to a stop in front of a hugged over brown ball. It was Kouga holding a girls body his hands crying.

"Kouga?" Kagome asked cautiously.

"She didn't deserve to die." Kouga whispered his head still hung looking at the red haired girl he was holding.

"Who?"

"My sister Ayame." He responded. "Naraku killed her because she saved a were. It wasn't a were it was me. He shouldn't have done this I can't forgive him ever. She is my only family. Damn him. Damn him. Damn him. DAMN HIM!" Kouga howled.

"Mom do you know him?" Yuri asked skeptically.

"Not only do I know him I love him as my own brother (We all know why. For you stupid people because she belongs to Sesshoumaru and I don't want to make her sound like some cheap whore to her daughter)." Kagome said sitting on her knees next to Kouga. "Kouga move aside I'll fix Nara's mistake." She said putting her hands on his slumped shoulders.

"What do you mean?" Kouga asked raising his head to look at her.

"Just trust me please?" Kagome pleaded.

"Alright." Kouga got up and moved leaving Ayame lying on the ground.

"I can do this." Kagome whispered to herself. `I hope. No I can! I have to for Kouga.' Kagome thought.

Kagome placed her hands in a praying position under her chin. "Ka ya ta se e tai plu taka nosana." She said under her breath. Purple appeared around her and expanded around over Ayame's still form. Nobody could see through the orb so they had to wait to see what was happening. The purple disappeared and Kagome hit the ground panting and holding her chest while Ayame regained her life.

"AYAME!" Kouga said running over to her. He embraced her with all his might then remembering being a demon that might not be a good idea. He drew back and looked at her dirty face and hugged her again.

"Uh bro I really require oxygen." Ayame chocked out.

"Gomen!" Kouga said before letting her go. He looked over at Kagome and the other ground of vampire that had arrived. He saw Sesshoumaru picking Kagome up bridal style while she was sweating and panting. "Arigoto Kagome-sama."

"It's just Kagome Kouga. I hope your sister will be okay." Kagome said before Sesshoumaru flew off with her followed by his army on foot.

"Kouga who was she and why did she give me my life back?" Ayame asked walking over to him.

"She is truly amazing." Kouga whispered.

"Is my mother going to be alright?" Yuri asked watching Sesshoumaru set her down on her bed.

"I'll be just fine." Kagome said opening her eyes.

"Wow you're awake I thought you were going to be out for a while." Yuri said astonished.

"Sesshoumaru did everybody make it through the battle?" Kagome asked turning to the silent vampire.

"More or less." He said coolly.

"BAKA I'M TALKLING ABOUT OUR FAMILY!!!!" Kagome screamed her face turning red.

"Inuyasha got a few scratches, Krista broke a leg but it healed already, Onigumo is fine, you can see I'm just fine and Kikyo stayed home." Sesshoumaru spat Kikyo out as it were vile.

"What a frigging coward." Kagome said.

"Kagome you shouldn't say such things about your child!" Yuri gasped.

At this Sesshoumaru and Kagome both fell down anime style. "That BITCH is not my child!" Kagome yelled getting up.

"But you said our family." Yuri said contradicting her.

"She was talking about my 2 brothers and her 2 sisters." Sesshoumaru said smirking in Kagome's direction.

"Oh. Opps."

"Yeah. Never mistake me and my beauty to come from that thing." A voice said walking into the room.

"And who are you or will you let me call you slut, bitch or whore?" Yuri asked glaring at her.

"I am Kikyo and I'll ignore that last comment and let you become part of my friends group." Kikyo said flipping her hair over her shoulder with a smile.

"Well I'll repeat the comment and pay someone to kill someone to kill you painfully." Yuri said cracking her knuckles and flashing her a fanged grin.

"Bitch you will speak to my mate in no such way!" Onigumo said walking up to her.

"Do I even care who you are?" She asked rolling her eyes over to Kagome.

"Yuri meat your uncle Onigumo." Kagome said smirking.

"Nice to meet you and I'm so sorry you have to deal with that as a mate." Yuri said pointing to Kikyo.

Before anyone knew what had happened Onigumo backhanded Yuri across the room and straight into a wall. Yuri got up and looked him dead in the eyes crimson bleeding into hers. Kagome growled and she could feel Sesshoumaru's demon blood rising, no one hit her daughter family or not.

Sesshoumaru could sense Kagome's power rising and Yuri losing control. Just then Inuyasha and Krista walked in and stopped dead in their tracks. Onigumo stood there facing 2 very pissed demons with red eyes. Kagome now had demon stripes and Yuri's went jagged.

"You want to hit her again?" Kagome bit out "And then I'll take the pleasure of ripping your insides out my dear brother-in-law."

"Gladly." He raised his hand up to hit her but Kagome appeared behind his and twisted in behind his back. HE howled in pain and she twisted harder. There was a snap and then a rip. Everybody stood there with their jaws open even Sesshoumaru. Kagome had ripped Onigumo's arm off right out of the socket. She tossed his arm to the side.

"You'll have to learn to use your left hand from now on." She hissed in his ear before turning back to normal.

"Kagome what did you do?" Krista whispered.

"She protected her pup like any parent would only she showed restraint most kill the threat without hesitation." Sesshoumaru said looking at Onigumo's crumpled form.

"Y-you're standing up for her she r-ripped my fucking arm off!" Onigumo yelled standing holding his shoulder.

"Yes. You stupid bastard Yuri or Kagome could kill you easily and you knew that but you pushed them to do this. This is your fault, you sensed Kagome's energy after you hit her the first time and you tried to hit the wolf again. You're lucky you're alive." Sesshoumaru said jerking his head towards the arm. "This room will be shut off till the mess is gone until then Kagome and I will be sleeping in the south dream room."

He walked out of the room and Kagome and Yuri followed. Both wanting to know what the hell was a dream room was. All it was a room that let you always dream never a black night. Yuri's room was right next to theirs and she had a dream room too.

After they were alone Sesshoumaru started to talk to her. "Kagome do you know how much power you have?" He asked looking over his shoulder to her.

"Kinda yeah why?" Kagome responded.

"Kagome tell me about your life. I want to know what you came from, who your friends were and what kinda of life you had." Sesshoumaru said taking a seat across from her.

"Okay…I guess. You met my father and sisters already so that leaves my mother. She was wonderful. Her name was Serenity and she was beautiful. She would let me do what ever I wanted only she raised me to know what not to do so she didn't worry as much. I was the most popular girl in school until I had a `phase' as Serenity put it. I went punk Goth like I am now. It was because my father and sister left god for a long time I thought that was the worst part of my life. I lost all my prep friends and had new ones. The only difference was I was wilder. My friend's names were Krash, Lexie, Montana, Trix, Danny and Davi. Krash, Lexie and Montana were girls and the rest were guys. We destroyed the town. You're taking broken windows, graffiti, jacked cars and drugs. That was until one night I was in a fight with some asshole that said that he `wanted' and I wouldn't let him have me. I kinda beat him up and later that night I was walking home and I heard a noise and hid in the bushes. I watched him beat up a girl who wouldn't fight back. She was too weak from not eating too. It turned out the asshole went out and beat the first girl he could find and that happened to be Yuri. So I took care of her and then I had to move here and you know the rest." Kagome said calmly.

"Wow that explains how you know how to act punk." Sesshoumaru said giving her a playful look.

"Damn straight!" Kagome exclaimed.

"You know how I said I was watching you since you were born?" Sesshoumaru asked coolly.

"Yeah? I thought that was a bit physco axe murderer weird when you told me that." She responded grinning.

"I lied it wasn't me, I only watched you since you moved to America."

"Then who watched me in Japan?"

"Someone else that is gone." Sesshoumaru said frowning. She doesn't need to know who not just let he thought.

"Well life is a bit boring now what will we do for fun?" Kagome asked leaning back on the chair on its back legs.

"Oh I don't know we could visit the Jinx's if you want but we don't have to if you're too tired." Sesshoumaru said rolling his eyes towards the ceiling. Next thing he knew he was knocked backwards with Kagome on him. She flung herself at him in a grateful hug. Now in very interest position Sesshoumaru thought of something. Kagome was on top of him with her arms around his neck looking down on him.

Sesshoumaru closed the space by kissing her softly. He pulled back and she got up blushing very badly fascinated by the floor. "So was that a yes?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"You baka of course it was!" Kagome said exasperated.

"Well let's go then."

About 10 minutes later all of the group minus Onigumo and Kikyo were at the Jinx mansion.

Kagome burst through the front door making Kagura turn around and through a sword at her, which was caught in front of her face by Sesshoumaru. "Oh my God Kagome I'm so sorry! I didn't know it was Kou- I mean an enemy." Kagura said running up and hugging her friend.

"Welcome back Kagome will you be staying long?" Naraku said walking into the room.

Kagome sent him a glare that didn't go unnoticed by Sesshoumaru and Yuri. "Mom is this the Naraku bastard that killed Ayame?" Yuri asked bluntly.

"Yes." Kagome spat looking at Naraku hell itself in her eyes.

"I see you found the wolf. Is he still mad it me it was a mistake. Honest." Naraku said giving Kagome a devilish look.

"Bullshit! You knew it was Ayame and you killed her because you thought she was a were which may I remind you you were fighting for! You just killed her you bastard!" Kagome yelled her eyes turing red for the second time today.

"Oh you caught me. Boo-hoo she's dead now and she can't reveal a secret she stumbled upon." Naraku said giving her a smirk.

"What to bet on that?" Yuri said her demon lines turning jagged and purple. Her claws grew about 3 inches more and her fangs got over the size of a vampire.

"Kagome calm down!" Sesshoumaru barked when he saw her changing too.

"I will not I fixed his mistake and now I have the pleasure to take him out." Kagome snapped. She looked over to where Kanna and Kagura were standing and her eyes softened a little bit. "I'm sorry I have to. I will understand if you have to fight me too."

"Kagome you are very brave and very powerful. It would be a fool's errand to try and kill you. We know what Naraku has done and I'm sure that Kagura agrees that this battle is not for us to fight in." Kanna said stepping back with Kagura.

Sesshoumaru let a ghost of smile to grace his lips at what the little girl said. His mate was also too stubborn to die. "Are you ready to die Naraku? There is a snowballs chance in hell that you a half-breed will fair very well against 2 vampire demons one of which is a miko, an angered demon, a soon to be full youkai hanyou and a vampire hanyou? I highly doubt it." Sesshoumaru said smirking.

"Oh I guess not but if I don't have Kanna and Kagura I'll have to get more how about hoards of demons." Naraku said as demons appeared around all of them. "No you're out numbered."

"Not for long!" Kagome yelled. A purple bubble rippled out from her. "Dark Detector!" She yelled as every demon fell down including Nara. "ATTACK WHILE THEY'RE DOWN!"

"Kagome what was that?!" Inuyasha yelled.

"It was a miko attack. It knocked everything evil in this vicinity off their feet." She yelled back turning around and blasting a demon with energy. "Sesshoumaru cover me I'm summoning some one!" Kagome yell as she put her hands crossed palm to palm. Yuri looked up to see Kouga and Ayume appeared in a purple explosion. They looked around and saw what was happening and ran towards Kagome.

"Kagome why are we here?" Ayame asked (Kouga informed her on everything).

"I threatened Nara and was going kill him and he summoned these monstrosities. This is not just my fight but it's your guys' too." Kagome answered putting her wrists together and making a clear and bloody path to Naraku. "You're going down Naraku!" Kagome yelled as she charged at him. Little did she expect he was prepared for it. Kagome and Kouga let out a scream and tried to stop but it was too late.

Naraku had created a portal and Kouga and Kagome ran right into it. Kagome grabbed Kouga's hand as they went in and she came out still holding it.

They were walking down a street were everyone of the buildings were burning. Apartments, houses and businesses. Dead bodies were everywhere scorched and burned. The smell horrid. Kouga took her hand as they walked.

Out of flame and shadow a man in a cloak walked out. His smile evil and cruel. "Kukukuku." He laughed.

Two demons came behind Kouga and her and attacked. The man paralyzed Kouga and Kagome was left to fight by herself. She took out a knife and gutted one of the beasts and then licked the blood from the knife.

Kagome got behind the other and slit his throat. Kagome smiled evilly and looked around to find the man but all she heard was his voice. "You're very strong my little miko." The voice faded as it said the last word.

"Naraku get back here you bastard!" Kagome yelled into the night.

She and Kouga ran after him and caught up with him inside a half standing building. They ran in and in the corner was Naraku standing there smirking. "My little Miko why fight against me in my own world it's surly pointless. You will submit to me I will make you." He sneered,

"Like hell you're touching her!" Kouga roared running towards him. Naraku used his weight to flip him over his shoulder into a wall.

Kagome looked at him her eyes a blaze and her anger overwhelming. She shot a lighting bolt that went through his shoulder and he hissed in pain. Nara snapped his fingers and then Kagome felt a terrible pain in her chest. She looked down and saw the head and part of the arrow sticking out by her heart.

"Y-you missed you bastard." She turned around to see her father standing there looking at her with hatred. "I suppose I have to kill you now." Another lightning bolt jumped from her it hit and kill him.

Kagome turned back to Naraku who was seething. "Baka he couldn't even aim right!" He yelled.

"Naraku your time ends here." Kagome whispered. "I'm going to purify your ass into the next life." A white light filled the whole room and Naraku screamed in pain. In an instant she was back were the battle was and so was Kouga although he was unconscious. She saw Naraku disinagrate and his demons disappear before her eyes.

Then she looked down at her chest and pulled out the arrow and sniffed it. "Ah dammit." Kagome said before she fell to the ground as the rest of the group made their way over to her.

"Kagome you baka how could you let yourself to get hit with a poison arrow?" Sesshoumaru said slitting his wrist and putting it to her mouth. "There that should take care of the poison. Now she should wake up about now."

"ACK!" Kagome screamed spitting a little blood on Sesshoumaru's clothes. "How come you did that? It was gross blood it tasted like my blood! GROSS!" Kagome yelled. "Thank you Sesshoumaru." Kagome said smiling warmly. "*Sigh* he's gone Hun?"

"Yup. And you did it sis!" Krista yelled launching her self onto her.

"I'm so going home." Kagome chocked out then she snapped her fingers and was disappeared out of Krista's arms.

Kagome reappeared in her room at the vampire mansion and saw the black book Kanna got her. She walked over to it and sat down picked up her pen and started writing.

A battle won but at what cost?

Would it be the same as a battle lost?

I've killed and slain,

But it doesn't dull the pain.

To see what I have become,

Makes me feel numb.

I kill to live,

But then again I live to kill.

There is no escape.

No choice to make.

There is no way out.

You can't even shout.

All you can do,

Is let that tear fall and move on.

Kagome sat back and looked at her poem and smiled a sad heartbreaking smile. Naraku thought he could play off her weakness, Greg. He didn't bet on the once innocent little girl to be heartless enough to kill her own father.

Kagome heard the group come home and she got up and headed to Kikyo's room. She could hear her talking with Onigumo. Kagome didn't even bother to knock she just walked in.

"Kagome you need manners you knock first!" Kikyo yelled.

"Say a prayer for dad's soul to be put to rest." Kagome said ignoring Onigumo's glare.

"Why should I?" Kikyo yelled.

"Because I killed him and he needs all the help he can get even in death." Kagome said turning to walk out of the room.

"Why, why Kagome why?" Kikyo whimpered tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Because the moment he put an arrow in my chest he was no longer my father just another person." Kagome whispered over he shoulder.

When she walked out of the room she walked right into Inuyasha. "You were eavesdropping?" She asked timidly.

He didn't respond he just pulled her into a hug. "Kagome its okay cry." He whispered. No sooner then her said that he could feel the tears soak through his shirt.

"I heard his last thoughts Inuyasha! I know how I defeated him!" Kagome sobbed. "Naraku's last thought was she really is heartless. That's the reason I beat him was ability to kill my father! My only father. If Naraku, that monster, could have recognition that I'm heartless what does that make me?" Kagome said pounding her fists against his chest. Kagome stopped and fell to his feet and let the sobs wracked her frail body.

"Shhhhhh Kagome it's okay. You are not heartless. Look at all the good things you've done. Taking care of Yuri, Reviving Kouga and Ayame and avenging all the people that Naraku killed. You are anything but heartless. You father was a horrid person with a troubled soul and you put the soul to rest. Now he's at peace." Inuyasha cooed getting her to calm down a bit.

"Looks like you're not the heartbreaker I thought you were." Kagome said smiling at him. "God look at me crying like a baby." Kagome whipped away and all that remain was the glitter of the tears in her purple eyes. "I should go feed. Do you want to come?"

"Sure why not so do I." Inuyasha responded putting an arm around her shoulders.

"Inu I suggest you remove that arm before Sesshoumaru does to you what I did Onigumo." Kagome said half-heartedly.

"See you're not heartless you just saved my arm." Inuyasha said taking his arm off her.

Kagome and Inuyasha looked around for someone to feed on. Kagome got the freshman girl that called her a grungie and Inuyasha found her principal.

"Gross he tasted like prunes." Inuyasha said sticking his tongue out.

"Oh yeah mine tasted like perfume and lipstick!" Kagome exclaimed acting like she was going to gag.

They walked home laughing and playing until they got through the front doors. Kikyo was standing there with Onigumo by her side angered.

"Kagome, because of you I'm fatherless, because of you Onigumo only has one arm and because of you my life is miserable! I will take back the rest of the soul I took from you until then I suggest live life to the fullest because it's going to end soon. I will take the Shikon no Tama and you will die at your own sisters hands just like our father died at yours." Kikyo screeched at Kagome.

"You are NOT my sister and Greg is NOT my father!" Kagome screamed back.

"You had better watch yourself my little sister-in-law." Onigumo said coldly. With that smoked swirled around them and they disappeared.
