Redemption

Chapter 15: The Unknown

 

 

 

While people are still mingling, it is announced that the time has come for everyone to head inside by the sounding of a percussion instrument (use your imagination). Once everyone is inside of the building, they all sit down with their legs tucked underneath them in front of an oriental style table as the sound of music feels the air. The tables create a large square as if they were sitting at a very large European style table. After everyone is seated, people continue their conversations along with drinking sake. However two tables remain unoccupied. They have been left open for Sesshoumaru along with his mystery guest. Of course the mystery guest in question; is no mystery to Inuyasha. `Sesshoumaru doesn't know what he's getting himself into. The fact that Tensei has Naraku's appearance is the least thing to worry about at this point. If it turns out he's Naraku, I can take care of it. But although in human Japanese culture, no one has anything against men being with other men, trying to marry one is like opening a big can of worms. You're expected to marry a woman in order to be able to bare children and carry on the family line, although if you still chose to be with a man on the side, there is nothing saying you can't do that. This is also true for most yokai. It is especially true for Daiyokai like Sesshoumaru. It would be considered a waist and a travesty for the eldest son within a Daiyokai family not to bare offspring. Does he think he can just waltz Tensei in here and have his family be like, “O-Daaay,” of course not! All hell is bound to break out and I can't just sit here without not being all fucked up inside…his family are a bunch of nut-jobs and he knows it.' Back at the castle, in a private place somewhere on the first level of the castle; with his pants down to his ankles, his legs spread wide and his armor and fir thrown somewhere on the ground half-hazardly, Sesshoumaru is getting thoroughly and feverishly sucked off by Tensei. “Ah!...sss…Tensei!...I need this now more than ever…I'm really stressed…hhmmm…I'm so addicted to you.” - “…Suck it...suck it!...hnnn!...hhmm…oh yea..hnnn…” - “Sss…hhaa…hhaaa…Nnnnn!” Sesshoumaru holds on tightly to the green yoki suppressing amulet around his neck before being overcome by an earth-shattering orgasm. “AAAaahhww!!!” The wonderful sensations pulsing through his groin manifests themselves on his face in a powerful and explicit manner. He moans and groans through the last of his pleasure pangs. Then afterwards, in a smooth tone of voice, he says to Tensei now looking up at him, with both of them breathless, “That felt sooo good…thank you.”

 

- After an hour or so goes by, the Shoji screen is pulled back and then Sesshoumaru walks in alongside Tensei. Sesshoumaru is dressed in his usual attire (No need to change. His attire is already formal enough.) But Tensei looks completely different because he is not wearing his usual dark green kimono and light blue hakama and his hair is upswept into a high ponytail. Besides the smell of sex emanating from him, the difference in hair styles causes Inuyasha to shudder as it makes Tensei look more like Naraku than ever. However, his flushed cheeks, azure blue eyes, attire of a silky kimono embroidered with blue skies, white clouds and exotically colorful birds perched atop them, along with white hakama, a golden Chinese style belt like Sesshoumaru's, white tabi socks and straw zori: Make the bight of Tensei's Naraku like resemblance not seem as lethal. The cricket's outside are the only things to be heard as everyone gawks at the couple who are holding hands unabashedly, in total speechlessness and shock, with the exception of Inuyasha and Rin. `I figured it would be this way. But I refuse to justify my decision. This is who I've chosen, deal with it.' After a few more moments of uncomfortable silence, Sesshoumaru finally speaks up. “Hello everyone…this is Tensei. I'm Sesshoumaru. We're happy you all are here. Let us enjoy this time together.” Sesshoumaru waits for Tensei to sit down first and then he follows suit in a nonchalant and collected manner. Unfortunately Sesshoumaru's politeness doesn't change the ambiance of the environment. Everything continues to remain hushed as food is served to everyone. “He really does look a lot like Naraku…I didn't want to believe it…but it's true. I feel really uncomfortable about this,” an older but still beautiful looking Sango whispers to Miroku. “Me too, but Inuyasha did tell us not to interfere…maybe we should just trust his judgment regarding this situation. Why would Sesshoumaru even invite us if he didn't think it was safe…and Inuyasha knew better than anyone what Naraku was capable of…so why would he agree to keep the peace if he didn't have the confidence that he could handle things should they get out of hand?” replies an also older but still handsome and healthy Miroku. “But Miroku, you know that he tends to overestimate his capacity to handle certain situations. He often just jumps right in without thinking?” “I think we should just go along with everything for now, and if things start to become unpleasant, at least we'll be here to help out if need be.” Sango pauses for a moment, “That sounds feasible. But what about his family, how are they going to take the fact that he wants this man as his mate. Inuyasha didn't give us enough information to know for sure why Sesshoumaru would want to mate someone who looks like our deceased nemesis. It's very confusing. Also, why would Inuyasha be so tolerant of this man's presence to begin with…it's strange,” “Well maybe he believes it's unfair to persecute Naraku's possible reincarnation for acts he can't even remember committing…along with the fact that he's probably very different from Naraku, character wise. I mean look at Kagome' and Kikyo.” “That makes sense…But what about Sesshoumaru wanting to mate this man. I didn't even know that he was attracted to the same gender.” “Inuyasha didn't say so, but it is my presumption that Naraku and he were involved in some kind of way…It's hard to comprehend why, but call it a hunch.” “You mean…intimately involved?” “What else do you think I'm insinuating Sango?” “What!? That's crazy…why would Sesshoumaru Sama…I just never would have imagined…” “You'd be surprised by what people are capable of when no one is watching.” “This is making my head hurt,” “Then maybe you should not think about it for a while,” “Right…” Sango gives him a peculiar glance, “count on you to be able to take something like this in so effortlessly.” “You're funny Sango.”

 

After everyone is served, people begin to eat quietly. After a while, everyone starts to become more relaxed which causes people to start talking louder. Finally, laughter and lively conversations feel the air. But inspite of all of this, Sesshoumaru's mother continues to send glares so nasty and searing his way, that he actually starts to feel terrified, and it's usually very hard for him to be terrified by anything. Tensei speaks in a hushed tone, “Sesshoumaru, maybe this wasn't such a good idea. I don't think your mother appreciates my presence very much and Inuyasha's friends keep staring at me as well. I don't think anyone is comfortable with me being here. I don't want to cause any more trouble than I already have…I should go.” Sesshoumaru replies hastily, “No…It's everyone else causing the drama…not you. You're staying right here.” He presses his hand down firmly against Tensei's forearm. Feeling very fed up at this point, Sesshoumaru's mind goes into battle mode. He stops ignoring his mother and instead, confronts her glares by glaring right back. As if a tornado is about to overtake them, Tensei grabs onto Sesshoumaru's hand, holding it very tightly. All of Sesshoumaru's family senses the stormy energy pervading the room. They here the hearts pounding, they smell the blood simmering. Sango and Miroku look at each other with worried expressions. They can clearly see with their own eyes that something isn't right. Rin and Kohaku also gaze at each other nervously. `The shit is about to hit the fan,' Inuyasha thinks to himself. Everyone who has children there lovingly instructs them to leave the building.

 

 

As soon as the children are gone, Mizuki jumps to her feet before exclaiming harshly, “That worthless ningen will never be a part of this family!” Sesshoumaru stands up defiantly before saying in a deep voice, “Then neither will I.” “What?!” She exclaims in a raspy voice. “Have you lost your mind?! I always knew you were a pathetic fool. Your brother is much more worthy of this family than you!” His twin brother smiles wickedly. “I don't care what you say mother…you know what…you're right. He is more worthy because he's just as loathsome as you are! He may try his hardest to please you and he may take after you…but I certainly do not! I take after my father!!!” Suddenly his brother stands up in defense. “Don't talk about my mother that way!” he exclaims. “Silence - Nibiru! This has nothing to do with you!” Sesshoumaru replies. Now his grandfather jumps in. “How dare you disrespect your mother that way…haven't we taught you better!? Apologize to your mother at once!” “I will not,” Sesshoumaru responds rebelliously. “I'm not going to sit here and watch this any longer. You all should be ashamed of yourselves,” One of Sesshoumaru's cousins wives states as she stands up disgustedly. She concludes as she looks down at her husband, “Come on darling, we're leaving.” “But…omae,” She gives him a scolding glare. He gets up. Soon after, pretty much everyone else takes their lead and begins to abandon the building. But before everyone can finish exiting, suddenly something sparks in Sesshoumaru's mind. Within milliseconds his mother has transported herself in front of Tensei and is about to send her poisonous claws shooting through his head. Sesshoumaru reaches down and transports Tensei and himself away just in time. Everyone left in the building quickly escapes as electric blue sparks begin to surround Sesshoumaru's mother along with torrents of wind. Her vocal expression of rage transforms into a ferocious, beastly sound, as her features begin to metamorphose in an utterly terrifying way. She disappears as a misty pink streak twists high into the air. The people outside here a loud crashing sound, which causes everyone to turn around abruptly. What they behold is a giant white canine like beast with emblazoned firry red eyes rising out of the roof of the building they just finished exiting.

 

As all of the splinters from the building fall off of Mizuki's now completely transformed body, she begins to jerk her head desperately. She picks up Sesshoumaru and Tensei's scent before leaping away in order to track them down. “Inuyasha, we have to do something. She's going to kill her own son,” Kagome' says disparagingly. Inuyasha turns around before saying with a disgusted expression on his face, “Why aren't any of you bastards doing anything?!” Everyone mumbles quietly and responds diffidently. He continues, “One of your family member's is going to be slaughtered by his own mother, and all you people are going to do is just let it happen?!” One of Sesshoumaru's cousins speaks up sheepishly, “We've learned a long time ago not to get involved in these types of matters. Sesshoumaru is the most powerful in the family. If he can't stop her, no one can…except for maybe Nibiru.” Inuyasha looks at him questioningly, “What? Do I look like someone who wants to see Sesshoumaru live? I only came because our mother insisted.” “Kami…and I thought our sibling rivalry was bad…fine, it looks like I'm going to have to handle this shit myself.” “Inuyasha, you can't go by yourself,” Shippo wines. “I'll go with you,” Kagome' insists. “Maybe we (Sango and him) should go with you too, Inuyasha,” Miroku follows. “Things are different now…you all might get hurt…and I don't wanna be responsible.” “We're going with you Inuyasha, and that's the end of it,” Kagome' counters. Rin and Kohaku also jump in saying, “We're going too,” simultaneously. “OK-fine, we've already wasted enough time talking-lets go…Shippo you're staying here,” “But Inuyasha…I'm old enough now to go with you guys,” “You're nine in human years-you're staying.” “Aaww…maaan,” Shippo whimpers. “Let's go…” “Wait,” Nibiru interjects, “Alright I'll go with you.” “Fine…let's go,” Inuyasha concludes. Miroku and Sango ride Kirara. Kagome' rides on Inuyasha's back. Rin and Kohaku ride Ah-Un and Nibiru rides on a black youki cloud similar to Sesshoumaru's white one.

 

 

It isn't long before they discover Sesshoumaru still in his humanoid state, holding onto Tensei's hand as he transports from place to place, repeatedly dodging his mother's gigantic paws. He stops and says as he looks up, “I'm not going to fight you mother. Give up…you can never intimidate this Sesshoumaru into surrendering to your will.” Inuyasha suddenly appears behind the humongous monster dog. “Hey ugly,” he shouts out. The giant beast turns around in order to peer down at Inuyasha. Inuyasha looks up at it with disgust as he says, “I never thought someone's mother could be as dumb looking and hideous as you are. Mizuki - why don't you try `n squash me?” Sesshoumaru's mother growls and bares her monstrous katana like teeth. Inuyasha flies off in a direction heading away from Sesshoumaru and Tensei as Sesshoumaru's mother comes chasing after him. When Inuyasha believes that he's got her farther enough away for Sesshoumaru and Tensei, he pulls out his Tetsusaiga, readying himself to strike as soon as she makes a move towards him. Suddenly she disappears and transports within milliseconds back where Sesshoumaru and Tensei are. She finds Sesshoumaru preparing to open up a meidou so that he can pass onto the human plain. He is no longer holding Tensei's hand which is exactly what she was hoping for as she never intended to kill her son…only Tensei. Inuyasha realizes as soon as she disappears that she was only trying to trick Sesshoumaru so that she can catch him at a vulnerable position away from Tensei. He rushes back with a fury. He gets back just in time to see Sesshoumaru throwing himself over Tensei as her paw comes flying down on top of them. At a speed no human can perceive, Inuyasha notices something very unusual.

 

With his hands pressed together as if he were catching something, a bright purple light suddenly flashes from Tensei's palms, right before Sesshoumaru lands on top of him. Then after that, all he see's is Mizuki's mountainous paw. In a fit of panic over realizing that she has possibly just killed her eldest son, Sesshoumaru's mother hastily changes back into her humanoid form. But she is astonished to realize that Sesshoumaru is nowhere to be found. She jerks her head from side to side in a distraught and frenzied fashion. “Sesshoumaru?” she calls out. “Sesshoumaru!” She turns around and looks at Inuyasha, “Did you see what happened? Did you see where he went Inuyasha?” He looks at her like she's gone insane. `You've gotta be kidding me…crazy ass family,” he thinks to himself with disbelief. “No, I didn't.” He is lying of course…anything to get her off of his back. Suddenly Kagome', Miroku, Sango, Rin and Kohaku come running up behind him while Nibiru simply floats, “Inuyasha!” Kagome' calls out. Inuyasha turns away from Sesshoumaru's mother. “Are you alright, Inuyasha,” Kagome' asks as she brushes his cheek with the tips of her fingers. Suddenly she turns around before saying to Sesshoumaru's mother, disdainfully, “How could you try to kill your own son?” “Huh…I wasn't trying to kill my son…only that human he was with. I can't just sit back and allow him to make the biggest mistake of his life.” “I have to go,” Inuyasha interrupts hastily. He takes off without another word. “Should we follow him?” Sango asks briefly. “Yes, let's go,” Miroku answers. “I'll be seeing you, Oka-sama,” Nibiru utters briefly as he looks back at his mother. “Nibiru-chan…Why are you leaving with them?!” she exclaims. Everyone heads off after Inuyasha. Once Inuyasha get's to a good spot, he opens up a meidou with the ring Rin gave him before passing through it. One by one, everyone else follows behind him.
