Reflections

'You're just like her,' it whispered.

“Not anymore ...” she murmured to the mutilated visage in the mirror, the glint of the dagger she gripped mirroring the one in her eyes, oblivious to the golden orbs staring in disbelief at the scene before them.

'Oh Kagome, what have you done?' the horrified hanyou silently questioned. However, all that the devastated man was able to mutter was a single word.

"Why?" InuYasha whispered through parched lips.

Kagome slowly turned, her gaze as twisted as her once beautiful face. “I'll never be like her now,” she cackled, blood and flesh painting a grotesque portrait on the bathroom sink.
