Remember: A poem to Kikyo

Darkness falls, forgotten memories,
Heartless moments that echo through out eternity.
My repeating thoughts of long ago,
Without mere chance- perhaps regret?
My heart beats only for you,
My colds lips only willing to touch yours,
My thoughts scattered on the wind,
Only to relive the fragile moments of us alone.
The autumn leaves carried through,
strands of tomorrow,
A day I could never have,
The mirror's relfection, smeared.
Do you love me as I love you?
Or perhaps it has been a lie all along,
Forgotten in mere flames of betrayal,
Lost in a fury of dark duty.
It was my blood on the snow,
Your laughter that carried through
out the darkness in my soul,
My lonely lost soul.
I was left to ponder in the dark,
to be prodded out of my light,
I was left for death,
I was to be left without hope.
Am I a part of history?
Merely a remnant of the past?
Perhaps it was fate that brought me back.
Do you still remember?
It was so many years ago...
I am Kikyo.
