Chapter Two: More Dreams

A few nights later Kagome was once again having a dream and this time it was a little worse. Once again Kagome was standing before the locked door, this time it had a pair of golden brown eyes in it. The bright as if lit from within and filled with pain and loneliness. The eyes flickered and changed to a deep violet color, same expression diffrent color. Hands once again reached through the door human this time.

One hand slightly trembling cupped itself to Kagome's cheek. "Kagome" breathed out a relieved voice. when he spoke his eyes turned back into a golden brown and his hands became clawed once more. "Don't be afraid Kagome." he said. "I would never hurt you. You know that. Come back to us Kagome, come back to me. We all need you, and me most of all." Kagome looked up into the eyes, they seemed to be pleading, hopeful. "I promise if you come back we'll take a vacation from shard hunting. We'll do whatever you want, tour the countryside, pick flowers, save people, have picnics. I'd do anything as long as your by my side."

The hands gripped her shoulders and arms began to come out after them. As they came they started to draw her into a hug. A face appeared on the door smiling gently it whispered as it came into sharper focus "Remember me Kagome. And come back, we miss you so much" There was a loud pounding noise and the eyes saddened. The face and arms began to withdraw into the wall just before they disappered she once more heard "Remember me" The pounding came again and Kagome awoke with tears in her eyes.

"Kagome time to get up!" called her mother.

"Ok I'll be out in a minute." said Kagome yawning. She got up pulled on some baggy jeans and oversized white tee and some fluffy slippers then made here way sleepily down stairs.

"Well I haven't seen you dressed like that, since you recovered from the accident." remarked her mother. "I take it your eating with us for once?"

"Yes." said Kagome grabbed a cup of orange juice and fixed a plate of pancakes then plopped down in her chair and began eating. As she ate she noticed that Souta avoided looking at her, so when he finished eating she followed him upstairs. "Souta, whats going on?" she asked. "we used to be so close, but you hardly even look at me much less talk to me now."

Souta stood with his back to her. "I'm sorry Kagome, but your just not the same anymore."

"So what i'm not a little goody-two-shoes any more, I'm still me." said Kagome.

"No, your not. You dress diffrent, you talk diffrent, your not the Kagome I grew up with. And I can't stand to look at you anymore. Then you came down stairs looking like you again and it was like coming back from the dead."

"Souta I told you i'm still the same person, I have all of my memories back."

"No you don't. If you did you wouldn't be runing around with Hojo and that other guy. What happen to Inuyasha, I thought you loved him!" yelled Souta.

"Who is Inuyasha?" asked Kagome marveling over the strange but familar name.

"They burned all his pictures and they think they threw away the diary entrys with him in them. They thought they got rid of any reminders of him, except for the jewel they gave that back. But they didn't get rid of everything I hid some stuff." said Souta prouldly. "He was my friend to."

"What stuff Souta?"asked Kagome egarly.

"Nothing I'm gonna show you." he said then stormed into his room. Kagome stood there stunned for a moment then started banging on the door and yelling for Souta to explain what he just said. After awhile Kagome's mother came up to ask about the noise. So Kagome gave up and went to her room to formulate a plan. She stayed in her room most of the day which made her mom think she might be sick, but that's what Kagome was going for any way.

That night she had another dream. The face was once more in the door but it refused to come into focus "Remember me" said a fustratingly familiar voice.

"Who are you?" asked Kagome, somthing dawned on her. "Your Inuyasha right?" the face smiled slightly,

"Remember" the face faded away to be replaced by a smaller face, the eyes covered by reddish brown hair.

"Do you remember me Kagome?" asked a childish voice. "I miss you alot, come back soon and bring lots of choclate." the face faded away and another one appeared. This one had short black hair and violet eyes.

"Kagome please come back soon, I promise I'll reform my ways, it's no fun here without you." again the face was gone to be replaced by that of a girl.

"Hurry Kagome, we've heard word of Kohaku but I don't think I'd be up to a rescue without you. You've alway's been the glue that holds us together-" the voice stopped abruptly when the dim light above the door flickered violently. And a face frighteningly similar to Kagome's appeared.

"Don't you dare come back" said a cold voice, this face was diffrent from the other's Kagome clearly see it and see the hatred in the cold emotionless eyes. "You may be my reincarnation but you will never be me, and you will never have Inuyasha. I shall drag him down to hell where he belongs." the face was gone and the light over the door went out. Kagome began to cry and pound on the door furiously. Until another distant pounding awoke her.

"Kagome, darling are you ok?" her mother was shaking her.

"I'm fine mom, what's going on?" Kagome rubbed the sleep from her eyes.

"You were crying and thrashing around. Are you well enough to go shopping with us today?" asked her mom.

"I think I'd rather stay here." said Kagome trying to sound sickly.

"Kagome giving up a trip to the mall? It must be serious." said Souta from the doorway.

"Go away squirt, according to you we don't know each other." said Kagome, her pretense forgotten.

"Fine by me, Imposter." said Souta hotly.

"Kagome! Souta! What is going on with you to?" demanded their mother. Kagome stared stoneily at the wall refusing to speak, as did Souta.

"Lets go mom she doesn't want to come." Souta walked away and after one last glance at Kagome their mother followed. After making sure they were gone Kagome snuck across the hall to Souta's room. The room looked the same it alway's had except for being a bit more messy. But Kagome wouldn't give up, she had to find out who Inuyasha was so these disturbing dreams would stop. Under a loose floorboard hidden by a rag rug Kagome found a shrine to Inuyasha.

There was a thick lock of white hair, a picture of a cat with Kagome's face and a dog with, who she assumed was Inuyasha's face. There was a little handprint in ink in the corner, on the back To Kagome, From Shippou was written in her own hand. All these things had somthing on them to identify them as her's. Sifting through all the stuff she came up with a photo. A guy with black hair being hit by a girl with long waist length black hair, a moody looking white haired guy and a little red headed boy chowing down on what looked like a hershey bar. On the back it said : A typical day in the life of my fudel era friends.

"This is so weird." muttered Kagome. Next she came up with an envelope that had Souta's name on it in a rough unfamilar handwriting. Inside was the shard of a jewel and a note reading, This is for you or Kagome If you ever need any help just drop in. Kagome found a bundle of her diary entrys rolled up and rubber band shut. She grabbed them, shoved the board back in place and returned to her room.
