Chapter 8
Inuyahsa bankotsu and sesshoumaru all made it down the well. Once on the other side inuyahsa was suprised to see the kit sitting aginst the wooden side. the kit how ever was more suprised to see bankotsu and sesshoumaru.
Shippo ran up inuyahsas back and place him self on his sholder. 'what the hell what the hell' was all that was going through his mind.
inuyahsa put his hand ontop of the kits head. " its all right shippo there going to help us get rid of naraku, kagome wants you to go to her time and stay with her."
shippo nodded his head, " kill him inuyahsa." with that he jumpped down the well heading towords his momma.
" he is brave and will make a fine demon someday." sesshoumaru said.
inuyahsa looked to his brother in shock. His face soon turned into his famous smirk. " yah he will, lets get to the villiage i have a plan."
once at the villiage inuyahsa led the way into the hut where baba kaede, sango, and miroku stayed.
sango and miroku stood up once inuyahsa walked in, they pulled there wepons when sesshoumaru and bankotsu came im.
" hold off, there on our side for now" inuyasha said while giving the two a stern look.
" inuyahsa," miroku said looking to his friend with questions filling his eyes.
" just listen, everyone." inuyahsa said his face going soft for a moment. " as you all know the jewl is whole, and will be soon gone. naraku is most likely looking for it or the shards. we still have a fake shard we can lure him to us."
" but what about them two" sango said while glaring at the said two.
" kagome said it best the enemy of my enemy is my friend." inuyasha said while giving her a stern look.
sango let out a sigh. " it would be good to have two more strong fighters with us."
miroku nodded his head.
kaede who had been quiet the whole time taking in the infromation ask what no one else had. " why isnt kagome here and where is shippo?"
"shippo is in kagomes time, she wanted him there to keep him safe. as to kagome im not really sure she said he had to fight her own demons." inuyasha said not looking at the old woman but looking to the floor as if he was trying to figure out what kagome ment.
sesshoumaru stepped foward, " i believe that kagome plans on going into the jewl to help her grandmother destroy the demon with in."
All eyes were on the demon lord.
"YOU KNEW WHY DIDNT YOU LET US KNOW SHE COULD GET HURT!" bankotsu yelled causing everyone to jump at his anger.
sesshoumaru let out a growl. " do you have such little fath in her?"
it was bankotsu's turn to let out a growl. " i just dont want to see her hurt."
" we do not wish to see young kagome harm either, but she dose have a mind and will of her own that no one not even the gods can stop." kaede siad all while looking to three men standing in her hut.
sango spoke up. " she is right not one of could stop kagome, but we can do something for her, we can kill naraku that would make one less person that wants to kill her." love for her sister shown in her eyes and a fire to keep her safe. ' someone with a heart like hers someone that could live through such harshness and still smile and laugh just because she see's a flower needs to be protected even if she is stronger than all of us' her thoughts were stopped by a tickling feeling on her bottom. jaw clintched her hands fisted at her side as she swong and hit the monk. "PERVERT!!!"
" but my dear sango you looked so lost i had to make sure you were not possesed by demons" miroku said while his hand cradled his now red and stinging cheek.
bankotsu and inuyasha laughed. while sesshoumaru 'huned'
kaede let out a sigh. ' it seems all will be well with this group, they all are fighing for the same thing. to kill naraku and to protect kagome. better put some stew on for the night'
clearing her throught to get everyone attition kaede let out some orders. " sesshoumaru-sama if ye could be so kind to hunt a bor or dear for the nights food and bankotsu if ye could get some fire wood, sango some water, miroku some herbs and vegetables, and inuyahsa if ye could go to storage and get some bread tea and my jars of healing slab i could start some stew and make some things for your trip."
everyone nodded even sesshoumaru nodded, which suprised everyone that he was taking orders from an old miko.
with her nod back they all headed to do there part.
soon the stew was done and was served with the tea and bread, once everyone ate kaede and sango took the bowls and cups to the stream for washing.
" kaede, do you think that sesshoumaru and bankotsu have feelings for our kagome?" sango asked while scrubbing a bowl
" i believe so, but im not really sure on sesshoumaru-samas part he may just wish to keep her safe. If inuyahsa messes up again i fear there may be a war for her heart."
sango nodded while drying the last dish. " well now child lets head back, your going to have a long day tomorrow."
they stood and headed back to the hut.

kagome set up her head was pounding and her chest ached, her head started to ache less. she slowly opened her eyes. what she saw made her gasp. It was sunny there were small puffy clouds in the smooth blue sky, a breeze made the flowers that covered the ground turn her way bringing there sweet sent to fill her nose. she looked to the left it was the same she looked to her right there was a small cottage that looked like it should be out of a fairy-tale book, behind that was a chrystal blue stream flowing. 'wow' was all her brain could register. she stood up on shakey legs and took a look behind her. there was no sun and no puffy white clouds there were dark black clouds that covered the sky. everything on the ground was dead. In the dead middle there was a dark gray mountian with what looked like a cave at the bottom.
"its good to see you again dear"
kagome turned back around and there infront of her was her grandma, she looked only a few years older than her but she could see her age in her eyes. Rushing foward she embraced her.
midoriko embraced her back. " come child we have some talking to do, i can see your minds questions."
both mikos made there way to the small cottage. once inside it looked to only have two rooms a living/dining room and bed room off to the righ. they took a seat at the small round table in the middle of the room.
" i know you wish to know about the jewl its self, well all it really is, is a beed from a necklace your grand father gave me. Its the only thing at the time i had to put our souls into no one can make a wish on it simply because i or the demon do not have that power even combined. The only way for one us to be freed is for the other to die. Hes been trying to kill me for years but his love for me wont allow it."
Kagome was staring at Midoriko " so its true he was just like onigumo. grandma if we kill him will your soul and mine go back to our bodys?"
" yes dear they will but im afraid my body will age once my soul enters it." midoriko said while smileing " but thats a good thing as too onigumo he is the one in this jewl with us, or at least his heart. His body was made up of many demons and his own the demons body was cast in stone one demons soul made it into onigumos body and fell in love with your cousin kikyo, and now you."
kagomes eyes went wide. " so kikyo is or was my couson and naraku's in love with me?"
Midoriko let out a small laugh. " yes child thats is why she had more power than normal mikos. With her dead and your soul in that dead body naraku has some how forgoten about her and is focused on you."
" wait if onigumos heart is in here does that mean if we kill him narakus body will die?"
Midoriko nodded " yes and if we kill his heart the body will die."
kagomes head started spinning. " okay let me get this right. the guy in here is onigumo and his body is made of demons but it has a human heart. Naraku has onigumos body and hearts of demons and the demons can only stay apart of naraku if they keep his human body alive. so if we kill this demon with a human heart narakus human body dies and all the demons with it."
"two birds with one stone" kagome said. midoriko nodded once more.
" but one thing i dont get if narkau doesnt have onigumos heart why does he love me?"
" because the heart will always affect the mind." Midoriko said while smiling softly at her grand child.
