returning the smile
you had from the start
before love was a burden
a curse on your heart

before you lost
when your fire turned to ice
melting away then
by your own device

the second doing wrong
made you feel right
and you were afaid to feel
to be held close and tight

I meant good
and i dident know it was wrong
we had perished in a world of hate
because love dident belong

so sure of ourselves
not considering fate
in a world all alone
trying to escape

maybe it was my flaw
maybe it was my fault
that our new found love
came to a sudden halt

maybe our world was in each other
but incomplete because were apart
seperate but still, i will never give up on
of returning the smile
