Chapter 13: Sick and Powerful

Kagome couldn't believe Kanna was against Naraku. It looked like she was planning for a long time to get to him. Kagome smiled and rubbed her stomach. It was hurting for the past few days. Not really painfully and so was her chest. It was like her front side was gone. She cleaned the castle with the help of other servants but when she's tired she doesn't move from bed. She and Sesshoumaru have been going at it like no tomorrow. It was like every time he touched her she couldn't resist him.

It was morning time and Sesshoumaru was checking his lands. He still kind of treated her like she was some kind of servant though. They were supposed to visit her mother again. Naraku's army will be formed in a week and Kagome wanted to spend two days in her time. She had gotten comfortable with her wings. Sango and Miroku were to be married after the huge fight. Shippo he went to live with Keade and so did Rin. They were not to come back until the battle was over. Kagome didn't want them to be in danger so she decided to send them away.

Kagome got up and stretched her arms and wings at the same time. She walked over to the balcony and looked far past the castle grounds. She hasn't heard of Inuyasha and that was weird. She thought Kikyo and Inuyasha were after her.

She sighed. `What am I going to do now? I have nothing to gain. Sesshoumaru seems to be distant though. He doesn't tell me about himself at all.' Kagome then sensed him coming back to the castle. `I guess I have to talk to him about that.'

Sesshoumaru frowned as he noticed Kagome staring out the balcony. He didn't tell her nothing about why he mated her. He said he loved her but he really didn't mean it like that. He only wanted to get back at Inuyasha but every time he touched her he couldn't resist the urge to pleasure her. He slowed down and starting walking.

`You need to tell her about yourself.'

`Why are you in my head?'

`Shut up, don't ignore me.'

`Go ahead. What do you want to say?'

`She's worried about you. You hardly communicate with you mate and then you are hardly home. When you are home you either fuck her senseless, sleep, or go into your study. She wants communication. She wants to understand you.'

`What? Do give me no speech on how to treat her.'

`Don't forget you promised that you take her to her time for a little while.'

Sesshoumaru lowly growled at himself. By the time he was done talking to himself he was right in front of his room doors. He really didn't know why his inner self was coming out like that. Usually it will come out in a crisis now it thinks it can come out anytime it can. If he could he would choke it to death. He turned the doorknob and closed the door behind him. Not too many things were going on. He looked towards the balcony and saw Kagome staring at him in a worried expression.

She had on her favorite kimono which was light blue, had white flowers on the lower half, a white sash, and white flower that had her hair up in a small bun. She walked slowly to him with her wings flinching a bit. “How was it?” she asked standing a few feet away from him.

“The village near the border was complaining about a wolf demon showing up yelling. I supposed it was Koga but I didn't really smell anything out of the ordinary. The village that is starving a little bit east of us I gave them permission to move into a village that does have food.” Sesshoumaru said taking off his armor. He was used to take a bath and he noticed Kagome already had water in it when he walked in.

“Did anyone attack you?” she asked with a little concern in her voice.

“No. They would be a fool to attack me anyway.” Sesshoumaru striped his clothes and got into the tub quickly. He heard Kagome sigh and walk back to the balcony. Sesshoumaru noticed the change in her scent. It was weird. Two days ago she didn't smell like that now she just smell like a sick bird or some sort.

When Sesshoumaru was done with his bath he dried off and dressed in another white kimono. He sat down on his bed and called out to her. “Kagome.”

Kagome just turned around and said, “Yes.”

Sesshoumaru then said, “Come here.”

Kagome nodded and walked over to him. She didn't know why she came she wanted to protest but she didn't feel like messing with an upset Sesshoumaru right now.

“Are you in pain?” he asked her with a look in his eyes that Kagome didn't recognize.

“My chest hurts. You know I don't feel well in the mornings. I'm not really a morning person anyway.” Kagome sat down next to him. She was fumbling with her hands and not looking at him.

“Why did you not tell me this before? I can smell the sickness on you. Perhaps you should stay here instead of going to your time.” Sesshoumaru suggested. He was concerned only that she wouldn't come back.

“I didn't want to bother you. I have to go. Plus in my time they have better medicine. I'm just going to have to be careful with my wings in the way though.” Kagome said looking at him finally with a smile. In her eyes told tiredness, and depression.

Sesshoumaru looked at her and closed his eyes before saying. “We will stay for two days and one night. I don't want you risking your health. We have to be at one hundred percent of our strength when fighting Naraku. I don't want you to jeopardize us when the time comes.”

Kagome nodded and said with tears at the brink of her eyes. “I may know what I have but in order to do so I must test it in my time.”

Sesshoumaru got up and said, “Pack your things. We leave tonight.”

He walked out of the room and went downstairs to leave her to packing. He didn't want to try anything since she smells sick and most likely they will have a long trip.

Throughout the dark castle all you could hear was moans coming from the master's room. Naraku was with Kikyo again. Kanna just blocked the noises out of her mind and Kagura left the castle to think. She really needed to leave the place. It was disgusting. One minute Kikyo is having sex with Inuyasha the next minute having sex with Naraku. It didn't make sense to anyone. The servants were on their so called `vacation' while Kagura and Kanna were stuck here being guards for Naraku.

She walked outside and away from the castle. She never really walked but she wanted to. She passed the barrier Naraku set and walked into the dark forest. Everything was dark around Naraku, even the clouds were dark purple in the sky. It disgusted her to no end. She thought of going away on her feather but she decided that she needed to think for a bit. Flying took too much out of her concentration. She was thinking of where Inuyasha might be surprisingly. She has grown fond of him and wanted nothing but to kill Kikyo or Kagome. They were so close to him and she always wanted to be close to him. When she first met him she would had not fought him if it wasn't for Naraku watching her every move.

Kagura then cussed at herself and took out her feather and jumped on it. She then decided that she will find Inuyasha and tell him their plan on defeating Naraku. He would have to fight him anyway Kagome and Sesshoumaru can't do it alone. Riding away from the castle she looked where the winds guided her.

Kanna smiled when she knew what Kagura was doing. She knew Kagura has fallen in love with Inuyasha she fell in love once but she pushed it in the back of her mind. It was strange they were just alike in many ways. They both had older sisters, both showed hardly any emotions, and both were under the control of Naraku. She knew this to the full extent but it will never be anything because she doesn't know what he feels. He just stares all day long like in a trance. She thought that he was destroyed when Naraku tore up his body but he came back with a bunch of scars. She still loved him and always will. It will just be a secret between her and that's why she had Sonoske in the first place. Sonoske was a human but he pleaded to become a demon because he fell in love with a demon. He had to in turn become a faithful servant to her and a guard of Sesshoumaru. Kanna planned the whole thing with Kagome and Sesshoumaru and she will not back out now.

Sango laughed at Miroku. He was telling her about his childhood and how he always got in trouble with the village priest. She hasn't been talking to Kagome lately because she was afraid of her. When Kagome came back with wings and fangs and claws Sango thought that Sesshoumaru killed Kagome and mated with a powerful demon. To her surprise she was actually Kagome. They had dinner that night when they came back and all Kagome did was talk to Shippo and occasionally say something to Sesshoumaru. The next morning they were taking a bath together and Kagome kept blushing when she talked about Sesshoumaru and what they did while away. Sango was shocked beyond belief but it was weird. Their relationship and Miroku noticed it too.

“Are you still thinking about them Sango?” Miroku brought her out of her thoughts.

“Yes. Haven't you noticed they only say something to each other when something needs to be done or if there is a problem? They never talk about anything else but the castle and Naraku.” Sango said with worried eyes.

“In time they will come to see beyond that Sango. Give them time I think they will grow to love one each other with unconditional love like I do you.” His eyes were sparkling.

Sango smiled but then frowned when she noticed his hand was on her butt. “Miroku.” She smacked him hard to the ground.

“I was just playing.” Miroku said getting up and rubbing his face with his palm. “Besides I did more than that to you last night.”

Sango flushed and started kicking him. “Shut up!”

That night Kagome said goodbye to the people in the castle and got onto Sesshoumaru's cloud. Then they were off to the well. What they didn't know is that someone was watching them far in the distance and following their every move.
