Review Responses
Kariisme: I gave you the response already over Yahoo messenger.
Sukera: Trying my best with me chappies.
Tsuki Yume: -rubs head- ehehehehehe, sorry, but, well, Kag and Sesshy needs to be in love [at least subconsciously] by the end of Reversed which is around 20 chapters because Reversed is gonna be a trilogy.
Monkey-gurl 15: Lol, glad you like the plot. Hm, well, I didn't say I wasn't gonna update, and the cookie does sound motivating. Okies, we have a deal.
Sesshomaru's fluff is mine: -lets out a relieving breath- I thought you weren't gonna review. I was starting to think I scared off one of my reviewers, but it turns out I didn't. Anyway, your wish is granted in this chapter.
Reversed Ch 5: Sesshy to the Rescue
Kagome awakened just as the bright rays of the sun lit the sky; painting it a beautiful hue of purple, pink, and orange.
She was just about to pack up her sleeping bag then go for a quick cold breakfast with the others who have already awoken, when she felt the Crescent Jewel inside her pant's pocket. She smiled then proceeded to perform her simple plan.
As breakfast was quickly over and everyone else was ready to begin their journey, Kagome stopped Sesshoumaru.
"Um, Sesshoumaru, I found this in my pocket. I guess I forgot to return it to you yesterday since the incident with the wolf demons happened. Here," said Kagome, gesturing towards the jewel.
The demon prince smirked then turned around.
"Keep it in your possessions for now. It will save you even when you are not aware. You will know when to use it when the time comes."
After hearing what came out of Sesshoumaru's mouth, Kagome was stunned. She did not believe that the arrogant demon had actually let one as precious as the Crescent Jewel lie in the hands of her.
"Kagome, come on. You're lagging behind!" shouted Yuki.
The young miko broke out of her reverie as Yuki's voice met her ears. She quickly latched the Crescent Jewel onto her golden chain that she is currently wearing then took up her pack and ran to catch up to her friends.
The day went by in a usual manner. Demons attacked the group from every corner possible, all thinking that the four would be easy prey. Yet, each time the foursome would prove the trash like youkai wrong.
Soon, time was near midday and training for Kagome atop Sesshoumaru's cloud began. First, came Yue's mental and energy training followed by Yuki's physical learning.
"Kagome, try again, to channel your energy into the ball of your palm," commanded Yue.
"Hai," complied Kagome.
She sought her energy out then started to draw on it. When Kagome thought she had enough, she pushed the ball of energy towards her palm.
This time, a small, pink like, energy appeared within her hand, instead of disappearing before it reached her destination. Kagome then tried to take aim at a small tree trunk. Her mark was not perfect, but the trunk did end up having quite a burnt mark from Kagome's small energy blast.
"Yes, I did it!" cried Kagome happily as she proceeded to hug Yue.
"Yes, you did," stated the elemental demon plainly.
Sesshoumaru saw the harmless act of hugging and started to gain a tingling feeling inside his heart as he gave an unneeded comment.
"It is but a simple feat."
Sesshoumaru, upon angering Kagome again, earned himself a `down' for ruining her mood once more.
As he regained his composure, he shot a menacing glare towards Kagome. Only to be answered by a stuck out tongue.
Her action shocked the demon a bit, but Sesshoumaru did not allow the emotion to appear across his face. Instead, he turned around.
"Kagome, your time with me is up. Rest a bit then you will be with Yuki," said Yue.
The young miko nodded in agreement then proceeded to climb off Sesshoumaru's cloud and walk with the rest of the group. Before she even walked five paces, Kagome caught a glimpse of a nearby village being slaughtered by ruthless demons.
Her heart twisted and ached to help. Finally, her conscience won over and she asked Sesshoumaru to head towards the helpless village.
"No, what is happening to them is none of my concern."
"Please, you must help!" pleaded the girl.
"No!"
Seeing the poor girl so desperate, the two elemental demons decided to help her out since fighting some youkai at the moment didn't sound like such a bad idea.
"Sesshy lets just help," tried Yuki.
"Agreed, a fight just about now does not sound like such a bad idea," said Yue.
"No."
"Fine, if you wont go, I will. `DOWN'!"
As Sesshoumaru's face came close up and personal with the ground twice in one day, Kagome, along with Yue, and Yuki fled towards the village to lend a helping hand.
By the time the three reached their designated place, most of the villagers were on their way to heaven, only a few were left alive. Yet, that did not stop Kagome. She pulled out her steal fan and maneuvered her body to kill any one or demon that attempted to harm any innocent people.
Her eyes flared and body glowed a menacing purple as she shook out of anger just as she witnessed a villager being devoured by a serpent like youkai.
Suddenly, she disappeared entirely; appearing behind the snake demon. Somehow, her steal fan emitted a dark light and the second the fan touched the demon; he dissolved within the four winds.
Just as the demon took a trip to hell, Kagome calmed and forgot what she just did.
Both Yue and Yuki saw the entire act and were in a surprised state.
"Aniki, remind me never to piss Kago-chan off."
"You may remind me as well, Yuki."
"That is not her full potential," commented Sesshoumaru out of no where.
His voice scared his two companions and both seemed to physically jump.
"SESSHOU, PLEASE IMFORM ME THAT YOU ARRIVED NEXT TIME SO YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO SCARE THE LIVING HELL OUT OF ME!" screamed the female demon.
Yue and Sesshoumaru covered their ears as Yuki's loud scream maimed their sensitive hearing utensil.
"Do remember not to yell when youkais are around. You would hurt their ears," reminded Sesshoumaru.
Kagome, after hearing Yuki's loud scream, looked up from her hands. Previously puzzled at what just happened and now even more puzzled when she heard her mentor's voice and seeing Sesshoumaru; wondering when he arrived as well as what caused the shout.
Before she could question her friends, she felt her body being lifted up and instinctively called for Sesshoumaru.
The dog demon and the two elemental demons looked towards the direction of the yell and found Kagome being held up by some sort of…
[EF4321: you know I can be evil and end the chapter here, but I won't be so evil. Okay, on with the chapter.]
Ogre. She tried her best to free herself from the beast but to no avail, yet she did not have to worry about being released.
Sesshoumaru's eyes instinctively bled red when he saw Kagome captured.
"You will do well to release her," growled Sesshoumaru fearsomely.
The ogre did not think of Sesshoumaru a threat and decided to bury its nose within Kagome's hair; inhaling her scent.
"Or what; kill me? I don't think you have it in you," laughed the behemoth in his gruff voice.
Right after the ogre finished his understatement, Sesshoumaru attacked, but he quickly restrained himself when he saw the yellow shine from the Crescent jewel. The light blinded everyone while it wrapped itself around Kagome. A few seconds passed, the yellow faded away from the gem and left behind a shield surrounding Kagome.
The ogre disintegrated immediately as did the other demon that Kagome purified; leaving her to fall to the ground, screaming, but instead of feeling the hard surface, she felt a pair of strong muscular arm.
She opened her eyes slowly to see Sesshoumaru holding her bridal style.
`Why are his eyes red? Is he ever gonna let me down?' wondered Kagome.
"Um, Sesshoumaru, can you let me down now?"
He nodded slightly and Kagome was gently released while his eyes faded from red to his original honey gold.
"I believe your business here is done. We return to our original course," stated the demon prince coolly.
His two subordinates agreed, but not Kagome.
"We can't leave now. It's not right to leave people's body unburied," exclaimed Kagome.
Sesshoumaru raised a questioning eyebrow, "Then what do you suggest?"
"Um, well, bury them before we leave."
The dog demon stared coldly at Kagome, but somehow he did not reject her decision. Instead, he commanded Yuki and Yue to remove the soil with their powers so the burial would be a bit faster, and then replace the dirt over the bodies.
Now that everything within the village was taken care of, the crew prepared to leave. They did not plan on finding a survivor.
"We leave," said Sesshoumaru.
Just then, a pile of rubble near Kagome moved.
"Hold on, I think there's someone alive," announced Kagome.
She quickly moved to the broken pile of stones and started to dig.
"Kago-chan, have you forgotten that I'm an elemental demon. I can control elements, and earth just happens to be one," informed Yuki as she raised the stone rubble to find a small girl.
The little female was shaking, fearing that somebody had come to harm her as did the other people. When expecting to hear a scratchy or gruff voice, she heard Kagome's soft and calming one.
The girl looked up towards Kagome from her fetal position; apprehension in her eyes.
"Please, don't hurt Rin," begged the scared girl.
Kagome smiled then soothed the girl, who is known as Rin, with caring words.
"Shhhh, it's alright. Everything is taken care of," whispered the miko as she slowly took Rin into her arms.
`Hn, she has a mother's talent,' thought the cold Sesshoumaru as well as his two other companions.
Within minutes of Kagome's soothing words Rin fell asleep in Kagome's arms.
Kagome stood up from her kneeling position, and told Sesshoumaru in an unarguable tone that Rin is to stay with the group.
He, being the uncaring demon, refused, but was `downed' until he let Rin come.
`This is disgraceful, being controlled by a human woman.'
AN: sigh: it isn't as long as I wanted it to be, but it is longer than the last chapter. Since, most of you guys voted for Rin I decided to put her in first. The poll is still on so continue voting.
