CHAPTER 3!!!



Two years later............




A/N Rin is is 16 years old now.

One day while Sesshomaru, Rin, and Jaken were crossing the lands they are stopped during the afternoon.

After camp was set up Rin looked at Sesshomaru and asked "Lord Seshomaru, Is it okay if I go pick some flowers for a while?"

Sesshomaru replied "Very well Rin, just remember not to wonder off to far okay."

She smiled up at him and noded her head.

Then she walked off and started gathering flowers.

While she was gathering flowers she ended up by the water.

After a while A 16 year old boy came down to the water to fill a jug with water and return it to his home.

While filling the jug he saw Rin and thought to hisself "WOW! What a pretty girl. I wonder who she is and while she is here alone?"

So the boy set down the now filled jug, walked over to Rin and said "Hi, my name is Tom, What's yours?

Rin looked up and said "Umm It's Rin."

Tom looked at her and said " Well Rin, it's nice to meet you."

she replied "Umm it's nice to meet you too."

Then Tom asked "So are you here alone?"

she replied " I am just picking some flowers for my friends."

Tom heard his mom calling and said "Well it was nice meeting you Rin, but I gotta go. See ya around."

Then he walked over, picked up his jug and carried it back home to a villiage not far away.

Rin gathered all the flowers she had picked up so far and started to head back into the trees.

Unknow to Rin, Sesshomaru had been watching in the trees while she picked her flowers, and he had seen the boy go and talk to her.

As Rin entered into the trees she spotted Sesshomaru and said "Oh! Hi lord Sesshomaru, I didn't see you there."

Sesshomaru replied "Who was that boy? And what did he want Rin?"

She smiled and said "He said his name was Tom, then asked my name, and was I alone. Why my lord?"

Sesshomaru looked at her and replied "Nothing Rin. But from now on, I don't want you wondering so far anymore. Is that understood?"

She looked up at him and said "Okay my lord."

Then they took off back to where Jaken was and Sesshomaru said "Jaken we are leaving!"

Jaken gathered Aun's reigns and said "Yes me lord."

Rin climbed onto Aun, still holding her precious flowers.

Once she was safely seated, Sesshomaru noded once, turned and walked off.

Jaken pulled the reigns behind him and said "Come along! Come along!" and they set off again.



A few weeks later......



Upon the way to Sesshomaru's castle, they came across The area of the bone eaters well.

Sesshomaru saw Inuyasha, Kagome, Cat, Koga and all of thier young kids.

A/N They had all just recently come back from visiting Kagome's time.

Sesshomaru wondered to hisself " Hmm I wonder what they are all doing?"

As he approached Cat noticed him satnding there and said "Well Sesshomaru, how nice to see you."

Then she saw Rin, walked over to her and said "Rin, my how you've grown"

Rin smiled and said "Thanks. It's nice to see you again."

Cat smiled back and said "It's nice to see you too Rin. I have missed seeing you."

Rin replied "I have missed you too"

They both smiled and hugged.

During all this Sesshomaru commented "So Inuyasha, I see you have a family now."

Inuyasha replied "Yeah, what of it?"

Kagome slapped Inuyasha and scolded "Inuyasha! You don't have to be so rude!"

Sesshomaru smirked.

Cat walked over to Sesshomaru and said "So tell me, what brings you this way?"

he replied " We have been out attending to some bussiness."

Then he addressed Koga and said "The lords of all the lands have agreed to a meeting at my place in two weeks. We are expecting you there as well Koga."

Koga noded his head as said "Rest assured Lord Sesshomaru, My Lady and I shall attend."

Sesshomaru noded his head and turned back to Cat.

Cat smiled and replied "Well it was nice seeing you and Rin again."

Then she walked back over and hugged Koga.

Rin spoke up and said "Cat. I want you to know I think of you like a surrogate mother."

Cat looked stunned, then smiled and said "Thank you Rin, I think of you as a daughter too."

Sesshomaru looked completely taken back then turned to Rin and asked "Rin. Why did I not know of this?"

Rin replied "Because you have never asked my lord."

Sesshomaru looked at everyone for a moment

Koga looked at Cat and said "We should get going my love, If we still want to get the kids home before dark."

She agreed and said goodbye to Kagome, Inuyasha, thier kids, Rin, and Sesshomaru.

Then she and Koga and thier kids took off walking at a normal pace to home.

Inuyasha and Kagome looked at Sesshomaru and said bye, then gathered thier kids and set off towards Kaedee's villiage.

Sesshomaru looked at Rin and announced "Rin. We should be going as well."

She noded her head and said "Of course my lord."

So they set off back towards his castle which was still about a weeks travel away.

For the next week they traveled and everytime they stopped Rin went off and picked flowers.

Then she returned with her flowers and they set off again.




2 weeks later at Sesshomaru's castle.....




Sesshomaru was in his office when a servent came in and announced "Lord Sesshomaru, the last of your guests, Lord Koga andhis Lady wife have arrived."

Sesshomaru replied "Very well! See to thier room for the night and inform all the Lords the meeting will be held first thing tomorrow afternoon. That is all!"

The servent bowed and said "Very well my lord." then turned and left.




The next afternoon, in Sesshomaru's office........




Sesshomaru said "As you know, I have called you all here to reaffirm our alliances. Seeing as how Lord Koga and Lady Ayame didn't wed, The alliance between the northern Lands and the Eastern lands have become a bit strained. Lady Ayame's grandfather is getting old and had hoped to join the lands forces with thier union, However I also must say at this point, Having already met Lady Cat, and learning first hand the kind of woman she is, Even tho she is a human, She is indeed worthy enough of ruling besides Lord Koga now that the time has come for him to ascend to his father's throne."

EVERYONE in the room was shocked at this announcement as Lord Sesshomaru was a stickler for traditions!

The lord of the Souther lands then spoke up and said "Very well lord Sesshomaru, Seeing how she has your support, and knowing the kind of leader Lord Koga has becomem we will accept this union and allow Koga to asscend his father's throne."

Koga stood and said "Thank you my lords! You won't regret it!"

All noded thier heads in agreement.

Sesshomaru said "Now there is just the matter of Lady Ayame, as you know her grandfather has recently passed, and she must now step up as Lady of the Northern lands, however she has not taken a mate yet. It must be made clear before she can claim her title as Lady of the Northern lands she must wed."

All again noded thier heads in agreement.

Sesshomaru the announced the meeting was over and they broke it up.



That evening......



Koga went into his room, greeted his wife and said "Cat! I have good news my love! They other lords of the lands have officailly recognized me as the Lord of the Eastern lands, and allowed me to asscend my father's throne! As such YOU are now officailly the Lady of the Eastern lands!"

Cat looked at her husband and said "Congratulations my love! I know that you have wanted this since you were a pup!" and they hugged each other very closely.



Two years......



A/N Rin was now 18 years old.



While Rin was just outside the village not far from castle, walking and occasionally stops to pick flowers.

A Demon boy she had become friends with over the past few years, looked over and saw she was alone, so he walked over to her and they started talking.

"Hi Rin." he said.

She looked up, smiled and said "Oh Hi Mikru I didn't know you were here."

He replied "Yeah, I decided I needed to take a walk."

Rin smiled and said "So what have you been up to lately?"

He replied "You know the usual, combat traning ect. I just needed a break."

She smiled, noded her head and said "Okay."

Then he walked up to her and held her hand.

She looked up at him, he kissed her cheek and said "Well it was nice seeing you again Rin, but I better get back before I get into trouble."

Blushing she noded her head.

Mikru walked back to the training grounds, and she went back to picking her flowers.

Then she ran back to the castle.

Sesshomaru greeted her just inside the door and said "Ah Rin, there you are! I have been looking for you. We need to talk."

she looked at him and said "What about my lord?"

He took her hand and pulled her into his study.

He closed the door and said "Rin. I have an announcement to make."
