Rising Sun and Setting Moon
“Ah…” Nakeya yawned. She was lying in the grass by a creek. She stared up at the clear sky. The shade of the tree covered her rosy colored face. Her golden hair tied up in a pony tail. She did this often just laid and waited for something to happen. Her life wasn't really exciting the only `exciting' part was that she had to act like a boy.
When she was born she was born into a male wolf tribe. It brought her father such disgrace and dishonor to himself that he made her act and look like a boy. So whenever she wasn't only with her brother or father she played and acted as a boy. This she hated she already knew the wolf tribe thought of her as weird and kind of girly for a guy.
Nakeya sat up and stretched her arms up. She stood up and grabbed an apple from the tree. She headed into the forest wondering where her brother Kouga might be. He was always getting into some kind of trouble with people. Especially Inuyasha those two never got along, but they are still good friends even though they never showed it.
Nakeya took another bite from the apple and heard some one approaching her. She turned around and saw Hakkaku and Ginta coming up.
“Yo.” Nakeya said.
“N-Neki…Kouga….is…..in….troubleR 30;.” Ginta said through breaths.
“There's a dog demon…..named….Sesshoumaru….he's in real….trouble.” Hakkaku stuttered through his breathes.
“Great…” Nakeya thought. “You think he could al leasttry and not get into trouble.”
Nakeya sighed and threw her apple behind her. “Where is he?” she asked.
“He's down at the lake by the mountain ridge.” Ginta pointed behind him.
“Got it, thanks!” Nakeya winked and gave them a peace sign with her hand and ran off in a gust of wind.
“How do those two run so fast?!” Ginta asked.
“Kouga has the shard but his brother is just….fast.” Hakkaku said.
Nakeya ran through the forest heading to the lake she could already smell Kouga's scent. She started to pick up an unfamiliar yet familiar scent. She remembered who Hakkaku had said before `There's a god demon named Sesshoumaru…' “Sesshoumaru huh.” Nakeya said.
She could now see the lake in view and she could see Kouga kneeling on the ground with another man standing right in front of him. He had long silver hair, her wore a fancier outfit than most demons wore from far it looked like a hakama, he also had some armor, but the strange thing was on his shoulder was a big lump of fur that hung down. Nakeya then noticed that he was holding up his sword and about to strike Kouga. Nakeya panicked.
“I'll say it one more time move or else.” Sesshoumaru warned.
“Ha! You think I'll listen to a stupid mutt like you I'd rather die then listen to you!” Kouga spat.
“As you wish.” Sesshoumaru raised his sword and swung.
“Stop!” Nakeya screamed.
Sesshoumaru froze to see another wolf standing a bit away. He stopped his attack and turned toward Nakeya. “Who are you?” Sesshoumaru ordered.
“I am Neki, Kouga's brother.” Nakeya said and walked toward him.
“Damnit! Nakeya you idiot!” Kouga thought and growled.
Nakeya stood before Sesshoumaru. “Don't hurt him, please.” Nakeya said.
“` Please'” Jaken repeated. “Ha! Are you serious `please' how pathetic and you call yourself a man!” Jaken spat at Nakeya.
Nakeya glared at the toad then looked at Sesshoumaru. “So?” she said.
Sesshoumaru stared at Nakeya then looked at Kouga. “I will still kill him.” He started to walk toward Kouga. Nakeya grabbed his for his arm but only got the sleeve and realized he was missing an arm.
“Wait!” she pleaded. Sesshoumaru turned his head toward Nakeya. “Let go.” He ordered.
“No! I won't until you listen.” She said. Sesshoumaru glared at her.
“I'll….I'll be your servant if you let him go.” Nakeya said. Sesshoumaru gave her a questionable look.
“Why would you do that?” he asked.
Nakeya looked at the ground. “Because…because he's my brother! How could you even ask a question like that?! Family sticks together! I have to protect them!” Nakeya shouted.
“Protect?” Sesshoumaru thought. He put his sword back into his sheath. “Fine he can go.” He turned away.
“Damnit Nakeya what are you thinking?!” Kouga asked roughly.
“I didn't want you to die! That's what I was thinking.” Nakeya said.
“Come on.” Sesshoumaru said and started to walk away.
“No you can't-“ Kouga stopped he could tell she had made up her mind and there was nothing he could possibly do to change it. “Just watch out for yourself ok?” He said.
Nakeya nodded and followed Sesshoumaru.
