Chapter 2: Two Days?

Kagome woke up early the next morning for no reason at all. She walked into the mirror and looked at herself.

She had deep blue-gray eyes, extremely pale skin and long black hair which at the moment was very messy. She brushed her teeth and washed her face and walked into the living room heading for the kitchen.

She looked over and saw Miroku spread all over the couch with his hand in his shorts. She smiled and walked towards the kitchen to make food.\

She was used to Miroku and his perverted ways by now.

She had known Miroku since she was six and he was seven and her brother was two. When her parents were brutally murdered by the Others she and her brother Souta had been put in foster care. A couple of foster parents showed up for them a few weeks later. The Hioshis had taken her and her brother in and treated them just like their own son whose name was Taki. She met Miroku a few days later when his family moved in across the street and they had immediately become the best of friends.

After she had graduated her nursing program she soon found out about the Guardians that fought against the Others. The ones who had murdered her parents. She immediately gave up on working as a nurse and joined the Guardians where they taught her how to fight, capture, and kill the Others.

Miroku who had graduated Med school to become a doctor at first didn't approve of her decision,which led to their first ACTUAL fight ever, but when he saw her passion for helping others and bringing her parents' killers to justice her vowed to support her all the way.

Her brother Souta now was living on the other side of Tokyo finishing up his six year degree in Architecture, and is married to a beautiful woman named Kira.
Miroku had always been there for her even through the worst times and she was so grateful for all that he had done.

She took out a frying pan and sprayed it with pam and cracked some egg. It seemed that as soon as Miroku smelt food he was wide awake,as grabbed her from behind,and still a pervert.

"Miroku why don't you get yourself a girlfriend?And I don't mean just a good fuck, but a real girlfriend."

"Why do you ask?" he said getting out the coffee.

"Because if you had a real girlfriend then you could have her make you breakfast and you could harass her."

"I'm not a relationship kinda guy 'Gome."

Well think of it this was if you were a relationship kinda guy then you would most likely have a girl in your bed ever night."

"Yes but it would be the same girl night after night."

Yes which means that you could teach her how to have amazing sex night after night."

"My Dear Kagome you do have a point there. So where would I meet a woman such as this."

"Well you are always telling me about your nurse Sango who refuses to fuck you in the storage closet so maybe you could offer to take her out first" she said placing the eggs on a plate and giving them to Miroku.

Amazing 'Gome, I shall try that first thing tomorrow."

"Yeah you do that but right now I have to leave for work."

She rushed in and out of her room in five minutes flat and ran out the door, down the seven flights of steps to he little black car.

~~~~~~~~~~
Her day was uneventful as she trained new guardians. They had no leads on her particular Other and she was bored out of her mind.
She was driving home at about six pm in her little black car with the windows rolled down. She was a mile away from her apartment when all the sudden a man runs out in front of her car. She screeches on the brakes mere inches from him but he didn't even flinch. He was just standing there looking at her. AS she got over the shock of the almost accident she looked up at the idiot who ran out in front of her car to be met with the familiar sight on the Other. The one that caused her so much aggravation was steading in front of her car with his usual smirk. He took a glance up at the moon and smiled at her.
"Only two more days. Your time is running out," he said and in a blink of an eye he was gone.
"What the fuck!" she yell banging her head on the steering wheel.
'Two days. Two days. What was in two days?Two days from now was Friday. What was happening on Friday?'
She continued driving hoping that when she got home Miroku might know what's happening in two days.
She unlocked the door of the apartment to see Miroku at the kitchen able hunched over a pile of paperwork.
She dropped her bag on the couch and walked over to the calendar and looked at Friday. There was nothing written there.
"Hey Miroku. What is this Friday?"
"I believe that this Friday is Friday the thirteenth," he said looking up from his work.
'There's no way that's what he was talking about. I'm not superstitious!'
"So there is nothing special that day?"
"No I don't believe so. Why do you ask?"
"No reason," she said as she walked into her room and shutting the door.
