In time long ago, on the Kingdom of Kita the Taisho Dynasty resided. The head of the Taisho Dynasty was Lord Toga Taisho, the kingdom was calm during his rule.

His father in law Former Lord Onino, left the lands were in poor condition. The people had little say in the welfare of the nation. The citizens often prayed to the Kami to save them, for a lord who would bring balance back to the nation.

Young Toga was traveling nations seeking a place to call home. One day, a man from Kita informed him that the King Onino was looking for a few good swords to protect his castle.

(Flashback 1)

"Good day, sir. Have you a moment to speak with an old flea demon?" A small old balding demon lowered his head to Toga.

"Not only a moment, but much more than that. What is on your mind, my friend?" Toga raised a glass of sake to the old flea demon. The flea demon seemed pleased with the gesture.

"Thank you, you seem to be a soldier of sorts. Are you?" the flea demon asked to Toga as he began to sip his sake.

"Not so much a soldier but a sword for hire. By the by, call me Toga. I hail from the east from small region off the waters of Joan*. What are you called my small friend?" Toga asked as he finished off another cup of sake. The small flea demon seemed a bit flustered. Maybe the sake was kicking in on him already? The cup was bigger than the little flea demon is.

"(burp)...Forgive me on my manners. I am called Myoga the flea. I am on a mission currently looking for a few good swordsmen to help protect my King. There have been several threats on his life recently; he felt it would be a good idea if someone left... (Burp)...Pardon me, but namely me. My task is to seek out and hire some knights or soldiers of sorts to protect him. The sake man said if I spoke with you, that you would be interested in some stable work. He mentioned you have been here for some time looking for work. The King would be very pleased if I could procure someone like... (burp)...Pardon me again, I don't drink sake to often...but like you a man who can handle his sword," Myoga said.

"It seems like that offer of work would be better suited for a trained knight not a sword for hire. The trades I normally get are a bit harder than others get. You see, I was trained to kill not protect. Being that said, I must say not to your request," Toga explained to Myoga who was listening up until a lovely lass walked by them.

"My, you must enjoy the finer things in life my friend. Toga, are you aware that if you consider this job you will be surrounded by the most beautiful women in the kingdom," Myoga stated knowing common men like Toga only dream about having women like that around him. Myoga himself is proud to work in the castle just having the women around.

"Women...My good sir you have my full attention now. How about we talk a bit more about the job? The pay would be nice to hear about, if you will Myoga?"

~~8~ {End of Flashback 1} ~8~~

Upon meeting with the villager leaders, hearing the tales of the selfish lord. Toga had no desire to follow orders of an unjust lord. Not long after meeting with lord onion, a fearful battle took hold at the stronghold of Lord Onino, between Lord Onino and Toga. Toga was victor in that battle.

Lord Onino had one daughter during his reign, Princess Izayoi. The new lord Toga decided he would inform the princess and tell her what has happened if she has not been told already.

Toga came into the private chambers of Princess Izayoi. Thinking how he should tell her? More so how should he tell her to leave...It was her home first, but it now belongs to him.

Her back was to him, she was dressed in royal colors of purple and white. Her hair was lovely; her scent was heavenly to him.

"If you have not be told what has transpired, Princess Izayoi. I shall tell you, I defeated your father and now I am the Master of this castle. The staffs have just informed me of your place in the castle..." Toga was at a loss of words as she turned to face him. Her beauty surpassed every woman he had ever laid eyes.

"You defeated my father; my maid has just informed me prior to your entrance to my chambers. Since you are now the lord, would you like to pack and be on my way? Or will I be a prisoner of sorts?" Princess Izayoi said as her eyes began to tear up not knowing what will happen to her.

"No that will not be necessary. The staff mentioned you have no husband or family to support you..." Toga was cut off by Princess Izayoi.

"Nay, before all of this my father had just arranged a marriage for me. Yet I doubt the man my father chose will come to claim me. There is nowhere for me to go if I leave..."Princess Izayoi was stopped by Toga.

"Most likely as you said is true. You are truly beautiful; the description Myoga gave me does you no justice. In all my travels, not one of the women could hold a torch to your beauty," Toga stated as he waited for an answer from Princess Izayoi.

"Thank you good sir. Seeing we have gotten off course sir, what have come to say to me?" Princess Izayoi asked Toga. Toga was at a loss at her beauty seemed to command his full attention. Finally to say something.

"Princess Izayoi, Marry me and begin a new dynasty with me! It would save you from packing. Meeting you, you stole my attention like no one has before. Seeing you makes me desire for a family of my own. With namely you?" Toga exclaimed to Princess Izayoi. Currently she was quiet, shocked at the quickness of a proposal from the new lord.

"Marry you? Children...for once I have not an answer to give? How do you not think I will try to avenge my father?" A still shocked Izayoi questioned her suitor. With that said, Toga began to think about what she said.

"On second thought, you will not have a choice in the matter. My future bride, as your monarch I order you to marry me and bare my children. From what you said prior to that last statement, you seem not to have much heart for your father. Gather what you need for a wedding and begin planning now because in a few days we shall be married," Toga declared to his future bride. She opposed him like no one has only in this single meeting. She was in shock again, and then moments later she began order the maids around. They were married only days later after he became ruler of Kita.

Not much later after the marriage, a young boy appeared before Lord Toga. Claiming to be the son of Lord Toga.

"Who is this boy, Myoga?" Lord Toga Taisho asked his faithful valet.

"He claims to be your son, my Lord" Myoga exclaimed before his lord bowing so gracefully.

"My son...I haven't been with another woman in some time..." Lord Toga Taisho became quiet as his pregnant wife Lady Izayoi entered the throne Room.

"By what he says, His mother was a lady Noa of Yugi region. That it was some years ago, my Lord" Myoga lowered his head to his master. 'This lad's story is very sketchy to me,' Myoga thought to himself, 'but then the lord has been wandering around for some time...'

"Lady Noa of Yugi region...I haven't been in that area for some time. Hm..." Lord Toga Taisho lowered his head to think of this lady Noa. 'Noa...wait she was working in that temple of Kami Akuma. But this lad's what eight years of age, he reminds me of someone. His features are the same as mine, but his facial expressions are cold, much like the lovely Noa. I can't deny the uncanny resemblance between him and me.'

"Lady Noa, your mother lad. Was she staying at temple some time ago?" Lord Toga Taisho asked the lad before him. The boy was kneeling down on one knee.

"My mother did for some time. She told me of you. Due to her passing I could not stay at the temple. My grandfather would not be so accepting of me. I am born to an unwed mother. He claimed I was not worthy to accept his title as a castle lord in that area. My Mother spoke highly of you, saving the temple of Akuma from the bandits. Much time has passed since I began searching for you," The boy began to stand. His eyes met with Lord Toga Taisho, a golden gaze. Stern training of a temple Priest showed on the lad's face.

"Your eyes and hair match that of mine. Not many do, lad so there is no denying that you're my son. All this talking and you have not mentioned your name Lad?" The lord looked down to the boy has his face filled with joy upon hearing his father's request.
"My mother gave me the name, Ken." The Ken kneeled down before his father again.

"Not worthy name for the son of a lord, my boy. I will give you a name worthy of an honorable noble. From this day forth your name shall be Sesshomaru. Noble, Stands out as much as you do. Why have you traveled alone my son?" Lord Toga Taisho declared to his son. The staff all bowed in front of their Lord and his son.

"Father, won't your wife object to your accepting me? About traveling alone, a friend joined my on the journey. That friend departed prior to my entering the castle. Father I wish when the time comes, to seek out my friend again to give thanks for bringing me home," The young boy questioned to his father. Worrying over if his father's wife, who is pregnant will see him as challenge for her child for the lord's throne.

"Nay, child it pleases me very much to know my unborn child shall a sibling to oversee his or her training alongside your father. I would become fearful if something happened to you. You're the son of my husband; I can see it in your face. What kind of wife would I be if I let you walk out those doors? Not a good wife, but more what would my unborn child thinks of me letting you leave without your birthright?" Lady Izayoi stated as she placed a calming palm on his head as his gazed up to her, "I should object but you have nowhere else to go. So my stepson Sesshomaru shall remain here as a son of a lord should be!"

"My dear wife, it pleases me to know that you are allowing my...son to stay with us. My Son when that time comes, we shall go together. This swordsman brought you to me and asked for no payment," Lord Toga Taisho said proudly.

As time went on, Lady Izayoi gave birth to a son named Inuyasha Taisho. The big age difference between Sesshomaru and Inuyasha made the castle staff in an uproar. There were quarrels between brothers yet they seem to enjoying these crazy times.

~~~8~ (Chapter Two) ~8~~

The Taisho Dynasty ruled the Kingdom of Kita for many years. Lord Toga and Lady Izayoi have begun to worry that neither of the sons have even looked for a bride.

All of the local countries have been sending their unmarried daughters to the castle hoping one would catch the gaze of one of the princes.

Prince Sesshomaru refused to meet any of the ladies or princesses that his stepmother insisted on. They had great pedigrees or divine beauty yet not passion that men of his nature needed.

A woman with a fire that burns deep in her heart. Not one of the wenches his stepmother pushed his way would not last long as a queen nor a bride. A few could keep a moment's glance but not more than that.

After living, his earlier years in a temple, then the switch to a castle built for royalty. His mother before she passed told him should he marry, look for a woman that will overwhelm him.

That one woman could satisfy his needs more so than wenches that only work as bed warmers. This woman will be a Lady in character if not a lady of title. His mother's words burned into his soul, 'Find a soul mate not a mate just because you need one! This mate will be the one that will fill the void in your life.'

Growing up in the castle with a father who is deeply 'in love' with his wife. Young Prince Sesshomaru made a vow to find that one person in the world that could be that to him that his Stepmother is to his father.

His bratty little brother changed him in many ways. At the temple, he was always alone other than his friend Akira. Growing up having to be alone, then all of a sudden there was someone who needed him.

Prince Inuyasha always needed him for training or advice on subjects that he was to embrace to bring up with his father. The hanyou was strong for a half demon, but that is something he would never tell him.

"My Son, for a father that I admit is desired to have grandchildren. You have matured to a man now, at this point in your life; it is time to consider taking a bride and giving me several grandchildren. Izayoi and I have introduced you to many young ladies that are worthy to marry a Prince," Lord Toga stated before his eldest son.

"Father, just because the ladies are worthy doesn't make them what I want in my mate. What I desire is what you have father, a woman who cares deeply about me. Those wenches have not feeling toward me. My mother stated that also to me before she passed. I passed that desire to my half-brother. Growing up in a home filled with love, someday when this is mine. My mate will be the fire that will fill the void of my life," declared by Prince Sesshomaru to his father with his face was blank as usual.

"So please discontinue this subject with me. Father, you would not accept just anyone as your bride. Considering you ordered Lady Izayoi to marry you upon meeting her," an ever bold Prince Sesshomaru stated.

"Yes, I did. But you will keep an open mind on the subject should Izayoi bring it to your attention. My Son, have you considered to take time away from the castle and just journey around the kingdom? I admit that I may have mentioned it to your brother. Both of you rarely leave the castle, perhaps trip around the kingdom will prepare you both to take leadership of this nation. In my youth, left home at a tender age to find my own place in the world. My wife has said time and time again, I should make contact with the family I left behind. You see I came from noble family, but my father wanted to marry me off to the first lady that showed up. Then I left home looking for my place," Lord Toga proclaimed before his son. Prince Sesshomaru knew his father speaking on his past was important. Lord Toga rarely spoke of his life before he as lord.

"My half-brother and I shall speak on that subject, father. That sounds like it would be interesting to me. Know that I will prepare for some time away from the castle." Prince Sesshomaru spoke with his father then began to walk off to the direction of younger Prince Inuyasha's chambers.

~~ (Prince Inuyasha's chambers) ~~

As quickly as Prince Sesshomaru left his father's side he entered the younger prince's chambers. The main room seemed a bit too slovenly for the personal accommodations of a prince yet it matched the younger prince's personality. Untamed.

No more than a few steps into the younger prince's private rooms Prince Sesshomaru began to hear whispers...towards the personal bed chamber of the younger prince.

"Young highness, we shouldn't...what if the lord discovers us?" the servant girl seemed a bit weary of the current situation.

"What can he do disown me? As his son, you must do as I command. Seeing that as the royal prince, there is nowhere more important you need to be," an arrogant younger prince spoke to the weary servant girl.

"Yet if he does disown you for your relations with the servant's only aides me, in becoming the next lord. Wench be gone your business is not required further," Prince Sesshomaru commanded as the servant girl runs out of the room.

"True it aides you, and as his only legitimate heir. It's very doubtful that he would give his title over to the bastard son. Surprising you entered my rooms if you knew she was in here. Your actions seem a bit...what is the word for that? Hmm...Oh yes. Does that mean you desire your little brother in ways that would make you a man lover?" Prince Inuyasha asked his elder half-brother grinning profusely. Knowing that the elder prince disliked his sexuality being brought into question.

"Nay, you wanton little pup. Just because you take random women to your bed and this prince does not. Shows that I have a restraint, and control," Prince Sesshomaru declared. The younger prince has been known to bring many maids to his bed for the night. Elder Prince has not brought many women to his chamber.

"Since you got rid of my entertainment for the night. What do you want elder half-brother?" The younger prince petitioned his elder brother.

"Seeing that our training has been completed. Our daily lives seem to revolve around the home; we shall rule this great land someday. Never once have you truly stepped out and met with the people. Father spoke with me prior to this, I will leave for some time. Your mother mentioned that you also need to leave to give the women a break..." the elder prince looked to the grinning face of the younger prince.

"By that said, you and mother plus father need me out of the castle home?" Prince Inuyasha questioned the elder brother. Younger prince commenced on accepting wisdom of his elder brother about traveling throughout the country.

`Out of mother's and father's view, no limits to the beauty of the women or fine treasures he may gather.' He may leave the castle for some time…maybe he could meet up with his old friends that trained alongside him.

There were no restrictions from what his elder brother said.
No parents peering over his shoulders.
No Sesshomaru.
No Princely duties.
Nor attempts of his mother to recommend a bride.

~~8~ {Kagome} ~8~~

In the province of Rirah, the far western tip of Kita reside the once great Duke Ookami and his heir, Sir Kouga. The Duke Ookami has been in the worst of health. Every day the staff in his home site assumes the worse will happen.

Young Sir Kouga, has not available to the Duke due to the need of an heir prior to the passing of Duke Ookami. Sir Kouga searches through the noble families for his match. None of the ladies seem to meet his requirements.

Many of his retainers, say he seeks a myth of a lady. Also stating, he can train a woman to match that extensive list of his desires.

The women that flaunt themselves to him only show interest in him after failing to gain the attention of the Royal Family Taisho.

His perfect woman may only be a myth, yet he shall continue to seek out this woman. Thoughts of his desires were broken as a soldier came forth with a female.

“My lord, this wench hails from the fallen family of Higurashi. It seems their family owes the kingdom a hefty amount of taxes. By the laws, my lord, she must work off her debt to the realm.”

“My family owes nothing to the ruler of these lands. Your gracious lord stole our lands from my father. From that you half-wit, you're damned lord owes my family gratitude of loyalty. All the time my family has remained in this country, all loyal to the leader not questionable to the changes of leadership!” Young woman called to Sir Kouga and the soldier.

Sir Kouga looked upon this girl's face to see her fire in her eyes as she spoke with intensity. She appears to be no older than ten and eight years of age. Her hair was dark as the sky above them. Those deep brown eyes of hers that consumed his vision as well as other unmentioned parts of him.

“Wench, you will do as you are commanded you will serve the Duke until your family's debt is paid off. No will not be accepted by one such as you. That is final. Bring her to the home of Duke Ookami, where she will serve his family as a servant.”
From that day Kagome has serve the Duke Ookami.

After the first encounter with Sir Kouga, Kagome avoids his orders to assist in his personal bath or tend him in his chambers.

In the home of The Duke Ookami there resided no Lady. Kagome often relied on the favored maid to take the extra work. The house cleaner never mentioned her name; the castle only refers to any woman by wench.

“Miss, His lordship Kouga has ordered you to the bathing chambers again.”

“You may tell your precious lord, that I have fallen ill and shall not obey his command.” Kagome has stated and walked off to speak with the Duke about his son. She is willing to serve the Duke Ookami. But his son was warrior who takes what he wants.


On her way to the Duke's assembly room, Kagome seen the other new maid a young lass called Sango.

“Hello miss, how have you enjoyed working today?” young Sango asked.

“Hi, Sango. It's been a long day that barely started. The Duke's son has requested I aid him in bathing. At the moment, I am going to have a word with the Duke. Yes if I must work of said debt it will not be in a man's bed. Oh, sorry, how have you been?” Kagome inquired.

“Currently on my way to the market to pick up some vegetables for the evening meal. It will be quite a feast from what the lords valet have said. If it's not too much to ask, could you assist me gathering them?” Sango requested upon Kagome.

“Hm…Bathe a wolf or get his dinner?” Kagome continued, “Lord Ookami is usually a sleep at this hour. No problem I will assist you.”

~~8~ {Inuyasha} ~8~~

“Damn Sesshomaru for sending me off. It has been days since I have any attention. None of these wenches are clean or available.” Grumpy hanyou started while riding with his valet Miroku.

“Please my lord, watch your tongue. Believe me; I understand why you are upset. None of the women is interested in a prince or his lowly Valet. Maybe we can follow Prince Sesshomaru's Lead and head east too,” Miroku smiled lecherously.

“For the time being, we will find a few willing wenches for the evening…” Prince Inuyasha was at a loss for words as two fair maidens walked past.

“My prince, what has happened…?” The valet soon joined his prince in silence as he gazed on the most attractive female he has seen in days. Dressed in common wool attire but her eyes spoke of desire.

“Miroku!” called out the younger prince. As his gaze unfazed from its current view.

“Yes, my prince, how may I assist you?” Miroku replied as he looked in the hanyou prince's direction.

“You ensure that girl is in my rooms while I bathe. By all means do what is necessary to have her ready for me!” Inuyasha ordered as he continued to walk to the local inn.
`Which one does he want? Both? Sneaky Prince Inuyasha is showing his true colors if he wants two women now', thought Miroku.

The younger prince left his humble valet to fend for himself. Miroku began to approach the women.

“Excuse me ladies, I am called Miroku. It seems you have gained the attention of my master. Would you follow me to him?”

“We must say nay. My lord wishes us back before the evening meal,” Kagome replied to Miroku. `Another man trying to get me in bed, this is annoying. Perhaps if I…no don't even think about it.'

“By my Master's order, You and your lovely friend will be in his rooms if I must force you there myself, as well as the castle guards. Even though I dislike use the strength against such attractive women, I must obey my master.”

`Great some lord is going to rape me.'
