Lord Hotohori looked at his lands they were beautiful they had mountain, deserts, and wide valleys. His people loved the land especially during the spring and summer it was wonderful with the cool breezes and the heat were you needed to cool down in a lake or river. In the fall the temperature were cool and it beautiful colors of browns, yellows, and oranges would cover the ground also on the tree of the forest. In the winter it would take your breath away with its beauty of the white snow covering everything from the ground to the high peaks of the mountains.

He wished to show Kagome all of the season of his and her lands but he knew that he didn't want Kagome to rule alone especially when she was new to the lands. She knew what to do in cases of emergency of a war but she didn't have all the respect of her soldiers and advisors but once she took a strong mate he knew they would gladly respect her. He sighed hoping that she would take one of the suitors so that he could leave everything to her, it was the only thing he could give since he hadn't been there when she grew up. For the past two months he knew she had a kind spirit, feisty temper, and great powers that even surpassed his own; he was proud to have his daughter heir to the throne.

Moments ago Lord Hotohori sent out the letter to the Lords to come down and see his daughter he was sure by tomorrow that the Lords will be here to greet him and his daughter. Of course, Lord Hotohori knew Lords since they were a pups but he didn't know if they had what it took to make Kagome fall for them. Lord Hotohori wondered about his daughter what was her type of mate would suit her and would at least one of the Lords impress her?

Kagome was outside talking to Miroku, Sango, and Tamahome who were telling jokes and making each other laugh. She was happy she had friend to comfort because she was kind of scared of meeting her suitor and didn't know if they would be mean or kind. She had grow accustom to spending time with them even though the monk would try to grope her she still had a good time she hoped that she would still have time to talk to them even if her suitors were to come tomorrow.

Sango, Miroku, and Tamahome could tell that their Lady was nervous meeting the Lords they tried to keep her mind off of it. They would tell jokes so she could laugh and just have a fun once in awhile Miroku would try and grope her but she just growl and he back off. They could help but wonder who would win her heart first. They knew that each Lord was powerful in their own way but they could win hearts of an everyone girl but Kagome maybe a little tough for them.

All of them would continue talking until lunch and they all would go inside the palace. Kagome went up to Sango and asked "Sango what about you and me have lunch outside so we can talk more." Sango looked at Kagome and knew she wanted to ask about the Lord that was coming tomorrow but she couldn't say no so she just nodded. Kagome entered the palace with a smile and asked the servants if they could take her lunch as well as Sango's outside. The servant nodded with a smile saying she would be glad to take her food outside.

Kagome walk to the shaded area so they could keep cool and laid a blanket down. She looked at Sango "Sango do you know anything about the Lords coming tomorrow?" Sango nodded "Yes, I heard of one he's a wolf youkai and he has a pack of wolves that are demons and animals." Sango looked at her friend who looked nervous she went over and hugged her. Kagome looked at Sango "I don't know if I can rule the lands or be a mate." "Kagome, its okay to be nervous but remember that you made a promise to your father and you have to keep it. You know that your promise is important is this kingdom and you're going to be a wonderful leader and mate don't worry." "Kagome you know that I will be her for you if you need me."

"You do know that your daughter is worried about meeting the Lords tomorrow don't you?" Minka said. "Yes, I know I was hoping that she would get over it though I mean she going to have to face them anyways," sighed Hotohori. "Yes, but remember she hasn't really been around a men that were to be her mate." "True, but I mean isn't she use to talking to boys her age?" "Yes, she talks to them but she not use to talking to a boy that are royalty."

"Okay I get the point is there anything that we can do?" He asked. "No, there is not but you could go and comfort her telling her everything going to be fine," She said softly. He just nodded and went looking for Kagome. He knew his mate was right but was it fair to Kagome not to know royalty when she is one herself? They taught her everything that a demoness of royalty needed to know and she wasn't that shy because she made friend within a few seconds so what was she afraid of?

He found her with the taijya (sp?) talking about the Lord Kouga when he entered but he heard that Kagome was afraid of mating with a man she barley even knew. She was also worried that she would let her father down and not be able to rule the land. The taijya was comforting her telling her everything was going to be ok and she was going to the best Lady of the Southern Lands that there could ever be. He finally stepped forward to comfort his daughter. "Kagome the taijya is right your going to make a wonderful Lady of the Southern Lands I know that you will be and I know that your going to make a great mate to who ever you choose." "Kagome you could never let me down I love you with all my heart now please gather your courage and be happy that your going to become a powerful ruler." He smiled at his daughter and she smiled back and put her arms around his waist.

Kagome couldn't believe what her father said she knew he was listening but he didn't think that she was going agree with Sango. She was happy that he didn't think of her as a weakling and that she was powerful enough to take control over them. She couldn't thank her father she knew he would be the one to take her worries away she loved him ever if she only knew for a short time. She couldn't wait for the day when she'll rule the lands and make her father proud. "Kagome I think you need to come inside now you have been outside all day I think your mother misses you," He said with a smile that could make everyone love him as a father. She nodded, said goodnight to Sango and ran inside to see her mother.

Lord Hotohori turned to Sango "I can't thank you enough for being with my daughter at this time." She smiled "My Lord your daughter has a beautiful caring heart I would gladly be here for her she is like a sister that I never had." "Then for now on you shall be the daughter that I never had because of you gentle soul I will allow you live in the palace and be there for your sister when ever she needs you," he smiled. Sango was shock and said "Th..thank y..you my Lord this is a honor but I have to take care of my brother so I can't live here." "Bring him with you I have more than enough rooms." With one last smile he left a very shocked Sango.

*-*-* The next day*-*-*

Everyone was busy expecting the Lords to enter at any minute. The servants were scurrying around making sure the Lords' rooms were cleaned but making sure that Lords were comfortable so that they could sleep without trouble. In the kitchen they were preparing a feast for the Lords arrival. Even the guards were making sure that everything was in its right place because they didn't want to disgrace their future Lady and her future mate.

Lord Hotohori was in his study waiting for the Lords and Kagome was spending time with Sango helping her pack her stuff along with their brother Kohaku. Lady Minka was reading in the library also waiting for the Lords and Souta was outside playing in the fields waiting to see which guy he liked to be Kagome's mate. Kagome could believe how her home was acting all this for her and the other Lords but is it worth it? With her new sister and brother living with her she couldn't help but feel happiness. When they were done packing they head towards the castle but Kagome was in her human form so no one would harm her in Sango's village. Sango's brother was excited to see his new home he was happy that the Lord allowed him to stay with Lady Kagome and Sango he didn't know if he would stand being alone in town. He was the first one to be finished packing he just watch the girl fuss over every little thing and they would smile at him. Finally they had put all their stuff on the coach and started heading home.

When they got to the palace they heard horns, which was announcing that the Lords had arrived Kagome and Sango hurried toward the palace hoping that they wouldn't get in trouble. Kagome ran into her room took a bath and change into a beautiful white with blue kimono. She put her hair up with a comb and headed toward her father study because she knew that her father would want to talk to the lords before he let him meet her.

"As you know all four of you are here to see my daughter but please understand that she didn't live with me until her sixteenth birthday which was only about two months ago. Please treat her with kindness and I hope you show her the love she deserves," Said Lord Hotohori before he sent a servant to retrieve Kagome.

The four Lords looked at each other wondering how the Princess would react to them but then looked away since they were enemies. When they saw the servant leave to retrieve her they couldn't wait to see her but they didn't know that they were going to be surprise the ways she looked.

It took about five minute until Lady Kagome made it to the study when she entered she heard everyone grasp but she didn't know what was wrong with her. One lord said, "You got to be kidding us that we are to mate a human!" She was shocked she forgot to let her disguise down she looked at her father and said `sorry' then concentrated to let her demon form show.

The Lords were puzzled that she was human but then her say `sorry' to her father then started turning bright blue color. They covered their eye and when the light died down they saw a beautiful demoness that looked a goddess that needed to be praised. They were in shock that she could make an illusion strong enough that they didn't even know she was a demon.

"This is my daughter Princess Kagome and future Lady of the Southern Lands." "Sorry that was her human form to protect her form people that would want to harm her," said Lord Hotohori. He looked at Kagome and said, "Kagome this is Lord Kouga of the Northern Lands." Pointing to the handsome demon with his long black hair tie in a ponytail wearing a black kimono with armor and a sword at his side. He had blues eyes, tan skin and was wear an obi that were the colors of his land he smirked at Kagome she just nodded trying not to blush.

Her father watched as she looked at him then he said, "This is Lord Naraku of the Eastern Lands." When Kagome looked at him she got the shivers he look handsome also but gave her the creeps. He was wearing a navy blue and purple kimono with armor he also had long black wavy hair, pale skin and eerie red eyes with blue on the bottom of his eyelids. He smirked at Kagome that kind of scared her but she just ignored it and moved on the next lord that she was to meet.

"This is Lord Sesshomaru and Lord Inuyasha of the Western Lands they're half brothers," her father told her. She looked at them the both were handsome with had long silver whitish hair, golden color eyes, swords that were at their sides. Sesshomaru who was the oldest had marking on his face two maroon color streaks on his cheek, a navy blue color half moon, and red on the bottom of his eyelids. He was wearing a white kimono with red sakura (or cherry) blossoms and armor he also had a yellow-blue obi that went around him. Inuyasha the young one was wear a red kimono with no armor or obi he just wore his hair down that reached his to his butt.

She said "It's a pleasure to meet you all I hope that we get to know each other more but now I will be on my way to talk to my mother and a friend." She smiled and left to find Sango and her mother she couldn't wait to tell her how handsome the Lords were.

When she left her father said, "Boys I know that you want to get to know my daughter but please be kind to her, she still innocent, and I don't want to see her heartbroken or sad. The servants will show you to your rooms and tomorrow may the best man win to capture her heart." With a snap of his fingers his servant came in telling the Lords to follow.

When the Lords left Hotohori thought to himself `When my daughter changed into her demon form I could smell the lust from the Lords. I'm glad Kagome left or I wouldn't have been able to hold them back if they lose control of their bodies. I hope that Kagome can take care of herself with them maybe Tamahome would like to keep a watch on them so that Kagome won't be in any danger.' `I don't remember having this much trouble when my sister mated' He sighed and went looking for his mate to talk about Kagome and the young Lords.

Kagome found her mother and Sango in the library she went in and sat by Sango. She whispered, "Sango I can't believe how cute the Lords are but one of them gives me the creeps." Kagome giggled and Sango looked at her with excitement wanting to know more. They heard "May I ask you girls what's so funny?" said Minka.

Kagome blushed "Mom I was telling Sango that the Lords were handsome and what they looked like." "Oh I see, so why don't you tell me about the Lord what was you first impression on them?" she asked. Sango looked at Kagome who was thinking about their faces.

"Lord Kouga looked sweet but cocky, Lord Naraku gave me the creeps, Lord Sesshomaru had no emotion on his face so I couldn't tell what to make of him, and Lord Inuyasha looked like an arrogant idiot," said Kagome. Sango said, "Kagome you just meet them and you talking bad about them!" "Sango that's what I thought about them if you seen them you would have probably said the same thing." Minka looked at the girls "Sango don't worry this is only her first impression she still needs to get to know them." Sango nodded.

"Kagome who are you going to talk to first?" Minka asked. "Ummm…. I think I'll talk to Lord Kouga, Lord Inuyasha, Lord Naraku, and Lord Sesshomaru in that order." Kagome was wondering why her mother was asking so many questions. "Kagome why in that order?" asked Sango. "Because one Lord Kouga seems nice, Lord Inuyasha shows his emotions so I want to get to know him, Lord Naraku may give me the creeps but he probably a nice man, and Lord Sesshomaru doesn't seem like an interesting person because he seems to have no emotions." Her mother nodded and left she wanted to tell her mate the order her daughter wanted to see the Lords at.

"Kagome tell me what you really thought of them. I know that act was just for your mother comfort." "Okay Sango you caught well they were…" The girls talk about the Lord until it was dinner since the Lords made it after lunch.

In Lord Sesshomaru's room he thought about the princess. `Princess Kagome is a beauty ands she does have strong powers to convince this Sesshomaru that she was a human. I wonder why Lord Hotohori wants to marry her off so soon if she only been here for two months and why didn't she live with him? I wonder who is Lord Hotohori's mate to give him such a powerful daughter that has not only miko powers but demon powers as well?'

`If I were to mate with her my heirs would be powerful they could purify demons and with my strength they would be unbeatable.' He smirked with that thought. `The problem is I have competition with the other Lords especially Naraku he can't get her power because he'll try to take over all the lands with her.' `My brother probably wouldn't even know how to handle her but I do have to be careful he does have ways of persuasion.'

`Lord Kouga I should be worried about he knows how to con people into what he wants and with his kindness toward her she just may fall for him.' Sesshomaru didn't like this idea either. `How am I to court her without showing feelings maybe just this once I will show some emotions to get what I want.' He got up and walked towards the balcony. He saw his brother on the balcony, which connected to his room as well as Inuyasha's.

Inuyasha looked at his brother and asked, "What did you think of her?" "This Sesshomaru doesn't need to answer a filthy hanyou." "Feh! I thought she was a babe she was like a goddess coming to grace us with her presents except I didn't think that she would come in disguised as a human." (Inu a romantic? :p) `Indeed she was beautiful like a goddess but I would never tell Inuyasha that.' He smirked mentally. "Hey Sesshy did you feel her presence it was calming and soothing."

"Yes, Inuyasha I did feel that her energy was calming," Sesshomaru said. (Since Inu and Sesshy live together they get along once in a while ^-^) "I wonder how it feels like to have two powers that want to destroy each other but you can use them when ever you want?" asked Inuyasha in wonderment. "I don't know Inu but why don't you ask her that when you spend time with her tomorrow?" "Okay I will but isn't amazing to find a demoness that can control that much power and hasn't mated. I bet there are a lot guys that want her but only one of us will have her. You better hope that Naraku doesn't get her or we'll have trouble in our lands." Sesshomaru just nodded and headed back to his room.

`Sesshomaru you better have a plan because I won't let you have her as well as the other Lords especially Naraku.' `He already took someone I cared about I don't want him to mess with someone who as sweet as the princess.' `I wonder who the princess wants to meet first hopefully I will be first or last so I can leave an impress that she will remember.' `I think I will take a nap before dinner.' Inuyasha went into his room and rested.

Lord Kouga was sitting in his room think of ways to court the princess. He knew that he did have his looks that could make any girl fall for him and he was going to make her his future mate, she will know that by tomorrow. (Very cocky don't you think ^-^) `She is a lovely being I can't believe that she has that much power I hope to see how loyal she is to her family and lands if she is then she will make a great mate for me.'

`No I won't be mean and she just met her father and she is new to being a princess I better just be nice to her she looks so innocent and happy I wouldn't want to take that away.' `I really don't want the other Lords to have her she needs someone that will take care of her and love her. I know that Sesshomaru won't give her that and Inuyasha will be fighting most the time with her and Naraku will probably beat her or use her for the power she has within.' `I know that the Western boys don't want Naraku to have her either because he is known to want to take over our lands and to be the powerful ruler.'

`I hope at least its one of the mutts or me get her because no one deserves the jackass Naraku. He already tried taking my lands but failed so I hope how for our sake Lady Kagome takes one of us to fight against him because he will try to take her land as well.' With those thoughts Kouga laid on his futon until they would call him for dinner.

In the next room to Kouga was Naraku telling his servants to hide in the southern forest whenever he needed their aid. He was thinking of Kagome `In person she has such innocent that makes you want her and her powers were magnificent even if it was just a taste of what she can do.' `I wonder what else she can do she is a lovely creature that needs to be tame and I will be that person to tame her even if she doesn't choose me for a mate I will clam her in other ways.'

`If she comes willingly maybe I won't have to hurt her too much but there is no fun in that.' `I want to see her full powers maybe tomorrow I will just get that chance.' Naraku mentally called his servant ~Kanna tomorrow when its my turn to spend time with the princess I want you to…~ Kanna looked at her master with no emotion on her face ~Yes master I will call them and my sister~ after she said that she left.

"Kukuku my little princess you will have a late birthday present let's see how you handle things by yourself," said Naraku to himself right before a servant told to come down for dinner. Naraku left his room started to make his way to the dinning area.

*-*-* In the dinning room *-*-*

The dinning room had the color purple since its represent the kingdom and the symbol of three purple stars. The tablecloth was purple with each symbol of the four lands the three stars, the half blue moon, the mountain, and fire. (I couldn't really think of the eastern so it may change give me some ideas) On top of the long table was five candlesticks made of silver, silver platters of food, and of course silver cups. The room was big it had two huge door for the entrance and a side door that led to the kitchen were the servants would come in to serve them.

Lord Hotohori was at the head of the table with Souta on his left side and Minka on his right. Kagome was on the other end with Sango, Sesshomaru, Kouga, Inuyasha, and Naraku they did little talk since they were all hating or fighting with another. Kagome felt a little uncomfortable with them giving each other death glares, she wanted to sit by her parents tell them that they were weird. She never seen so many people dislike one another she didn't like the auras coming off of them. She looked at her father with `please calm them down' face; he stood up and began to talk.

"My Lords I hope you are enjoying yourselves we have many things that you could do. We have dojos if you feel like training, a library, gardens, and forests if you like to roam the lands. The princess has decided what order to put you in for spending time with her." Each Lord looked at Hotohori with anticipation they couldn't wait to see who was first and who would be last to be with her. "The order is Lord Kouga, Lord Inuyasha, Lord Naraku and Lord Sesshomaru we hope you like the arrangements. I hope that you will treat my daughter with care and kindness. Since we are all here we will start the feast." He called the servant and they began to eat.

After dinner the Lords decided that they were going to go their rooms. The family went to library to talk about their busy day with the Lords arrival. They were happy that they seem to calm down when they weren't near each other. They knew that each Lord was strong but they hoped they wouldn't kill each other before Kagome made her choice.

"Kagome how are you doing I mean you looked a little pale," asked her father. "I'm pale because I was scared and I didn't like the way the Lords' auras felt. I never felt that much hate but the Lords were mostly directed it to Lord Naraku also his aura may me feel sick I felt evil within his soul." Kagome said looking at her father who was not really shock. "Kagome I'm not really surprised because Naraku is planning to try and take the Lords' lands so they really don't like him. He probably going to try to take our land but since I agreed that if you take a mate of a Lord he will try and win you hand for this land but I think he wants you as well."

"Kagome there are people whom hate Naraku because of his evil but can't because he is strong as well as his servants that protect him," said her mother. "He was also the one who killed my father and my hometown of demon exterminators," said a teary eye Sango. "He has done many evil things and I hope that you will make the right choice but if you choose Naraku I will still be by your side," said her father. "Father how can you expect me to mate with a man who so evil?! I could never mate with a man you tried to hurt my family as well as my friends! I will be nice to him but I will never mate with him!" yelled a very upset Kagome.

`How could he think I would mate with a guy that would try take my lands by force and would try to take the other Lords' lands! Who hurt my friend/sister family!' Kagome regretted to think that Lord Naraku was a gentleman. If she had the power she would tell him to leave and never to come back but she knew that she would have to spend time with him at least to confirm that he tried to make her his mate. She couldn't stand it anymore she told her family she was going to sleep and she will see them in the morning.

Everyone looked at Kagome in surprise they never saw her this mad especially when she is such a nice person to everyone. Maybe they shouldn't have told her about Naraku but she needed to know so he wouldn't hurt her. She was stubborn never held any anger toward another person what they told her must have upset her that a man could do such an evil thing and not even feel sorry about it. They loved Kagome they never want her to get hurt but they knew Naraku was clever and he probably would try and manipulate Kagome to be his mate. They wouldn't stand to see their precious Kagome with the likes of Naraku. Her father made a promise to himself if he would try and hurt Kagome he would kick him out of the palace for good and he was never to come back. The family talked about their day and who would make a good mate for Kagome after they were done with their decision they decided to go to bed for tomorrow was going to be a stressful day not only for them but mostly Kagome.

Hello everyone I'm sorry for not updating sooner but I had things to do. I probably won't update for a while because I have school now. I hope that you like the fic and I love you all plz review I can't wait to read what you say about the story.
