Chapter 18

Oh

Kagome just stared at the sight in front of her. "Inuyasha?" His hair was changing from silver to white. His beautiful amber eyes were turning brown. His adorable puppy ears slid from the top of his head to the side forming into human ears. And finally his claws and fangs retracted and looked human. (Thought something bad was going to happen didn't you?)

"Does everyone have to stare like that?" Inuyasha asked. He stomped out of the room into his own and slammed the door. Everyone flinched. They didn't mean to gawk at him like that. It's just that they never saw anything like that.

"I'm going to go check on him." Kagome said and walked out of the room.

"You think he's mad?" Sango asked.

"Only for a little while. I'm sure Kagome will calm him down." Miroku smiled.

"Hentai." Sango said and hit him with a pillow.

Kagome walked into the room. She thought he would've locked the door. He must have forgotten to since he was mad. She walked over to the bed. He covered himself with the blanket. "Inuyasha."

"Go away." Inuyasha muttered.

"Why?" Kagome said.

"Because you obviously forced yourself to come here." He said.

"No I didn't."

"Yes you did." He said. "You screamed when I transformed."

"Well sorry if I was a little startled. It's not everyday you see your mate change into a human from hanyou." Kagome said.

Inuyasha jumped from out of the covers and pounced on her. "Mate eh." He said.

"Well yeah isn't that what said?" Kagome looked at him to get used to his features. She brushed his bangs away from his face.

He shoved his face in the crook of her neck. "Is it bad?"

"No why would you think that?" Kagome asked. She was combing her fingers through his long black hair.

"I don't know." He said.

"You don't have to worry. I like you either way." Kagome said.

Inuyasha smiled and relaxed more when he heard her. "Good."

Kagome giggled and looked at the clock. "You should get some sleep. You have school tomorrow."

"I don't want to go." He whined. He sounded like a little boy.

"But you have to." She said.

"Fine." Inuyasha said. He grabbed the blanket and pulled it up to his waist. He laid halfway on Kagome, so he didn't crush her with his weight. He had one arm around her waist and his face buried in her neck.

Kagome stroked his hair until she fell asleep. Inuyasha fell asleep soon after. He was afraid of her reaction to his transformation. He thought she'd run away because she screamed. They had all forgotten about his human night.

Kagome woke up and opened her eyes. She looked to her side. Inuyasha was a hanyou again. She reached over to his head and rubbed the ear closest to her. He growled in content and grabbed her wrist. "Gomen I didn't mean to wake you."

"I've been awake." He said. He let go of her waist and stretched. "What time is it?"

"You've got about an hour and a half before you need to be at school." Kagome said looking at the clock.

"How early did we fall asleep?" He asked.

"Really early seeing as how we're up." She said. "Do you think Sesshomaru is up?"

"Probably why?" He asked.

"Well I was wondering if the clothes came in." She said. She was still wearing Inuyasha's clothes.

"Come on let's go check." He said. He grabbed her hand and walked into the hallway and to the elevator. When they reached his office they knocked on the door.

"Come in."

Inuyasha opened the door and walked in. "You're up early aren't you?"

"I'm always up this early. I don't need as much sleep as humans." He said. "What can I do for you so early in the morning?"

"Kagome needs clothes." Inuyasha said.

"That's right. The clothes were delivered last night." Sesshomaru said. "Here you go." He handed Inuyasha a box.

"This is it?" Inuyasha asked.

"Of course not." Sesshomaru said. "I'll have the others delivered to your room while you're in school. Don't you think you should be getting ready?"

"Yeah, yeah I'm going." Inuyasha said. "Come on Kagome."

"Hai, arigato Sesshomaru." She said and followed Inuyasha out of the room and into the elevator. He walked into the room and set the box down on the bed.

"Look through it and try something on. I'm going to wake Sango and Miroku for breakfast." Inuyasha said. He kissed Kagome on the cheek and walked to his friend's room.

Kagome opened the box and looked through the outfits. They were beautiful and probably really expensive. They were in many different colors. There were light blues, white, some pinks, and a red dress.

She picked out a light blue one and ran into the bathroom to shower. She could hear Inuyasha yelling at her friends to wake up. "Oi, wake up already you lazy asses." He said as he pounded on the door.

Then she heard "Oi, Sango you didn't have to hit me." He said. "I could have let you be late to school."

Kagome smiled. She got out of the shower and dried her hair. She put on the light blue dress and walked out of the bathroom.

Inuyasha's jaw dropped. Sesshomaru had good taste in clothing. Kagome's dress was a light blue silk that went down to her knees. "Do you like it?" She asked.

Inuyasha nodded stupidly. He got up and wrapped his arms around her. "You look beautiful." He said.

"All of the dresses are like this." Kagome blushed. "These were probably expensive."

"Who cares?" Inuyasha said and captured her lips in a gentle kiss. The kiss was just about to get good until someone banged on the door. Inuyasha growled and went into the bathroom to shower.

Kagome laughed and answered the door. "Hi Sango."

"Hey Kagome. Nice dress. Is that what Sesshomaru ordered?" Sango asked.

"Hai."

"Oh yeah Inuyasha almost knocked down the door earlier to wake us up. I'm just here to see if you were ready to get some breakfast before we had to leave." Sango said.

"Hai, I'm ready. Inuyasha just got in the shower though."

"So did Miroku." Sango said. "Let's go down to the lobby. I'm sure Inuyasha can smell our scents lead there."

"Ok." Kagome said. They both walked to the elevator and down to the lobby.

Inuyasha got out of the shower and dressed in his uniform. He walked out and heard a knock on the door. He answered it. "What do you want Miroku?"

"How could talk to me like that after you rudely woke us up this morning?" Miroku asked. He was dressed in his uniform too.

"Shut up." He said.

"Have you seen Sango?" Miroku asked. "She was supposed to ask if you were ready so we could eat breakfast."

Inuyasha sniffed for a minute. "There already down there probably. Their scent is old. Kagome wasn't supposed to leave without me."

"It's not like she's going to far. Let's join the ladies for breakfast." Miroku said as he walked to the elevator. Inuyasha followed him to the lobby.

They spotted the girls sitting down at a table already eating. They were both eating some soup. Inuyasha got some ramen and joined them at the table. Miroku grabbed some soup and sat down.

"Nice dress Kagome." Miroku said.

"Arigato." Kagome said.

"So what do you think you'll do while we're gone?" Sango asked.

"I don't know. I guess I'll watch some TV. Maybe Sesshomaru will let me borrow one of the books in his library." Kagome said.

"He'll be in his office probably." Inuyasha said.

Everyone finished eating and went back to their rooms to grab their stuff for school. Inuyasha still didn't like leaving her all by herself but it was for her safety. He would like it a lot better if he was aloud to stay with her.

"Bye guys have fun." Kagome said.

"Bye Kagome." Inuyasha said. He leaned down and kissed her before he walked out of the room.

"Break it up you lovebirds. There will be plenty of time for that after school." Miroku said from the elevator.

"Have fun." Kagome said. Inuyasha snorted and ran to catch up to Sango and Miroku.
