Chapter 22

Making Promises

Kagome held on tight to Inuyasha as the elevator went to the top floor. She wasn't bothered by the height of the other hotel because she wasn't aloud out of the room. This hotel was bigger and taller.

"Are you going to be ok so high up?" Inuyasha asked. His arm was starting to feel numb.

"I'll get used to it after a while." Kagome said. "It's just that this building is taller than the last and I never really thought about the height with the other one."

They all stepped out of the elevator and followed Sesshomaru into one of the rooms. "This is Inuyasha and Kagome's room. There's only one bed and I highly doubt you'd mind sharing." Sesshomaru said.

Kagome blushed. "Arigato." She said. Sesshomaru walked inside the room to another door.

"This leads to your room. You can lock it on either side." Sesshomaru said. "There are two beds so you don't have to worry about the lecher."

"Arigato Sesshomaru." Sango said.

"Aww I thought you were on my side Sesshomaru." Miroku whined. Sango hit him on the head with her bag.

"I'll be on the floor below you. My office is the first door you see when you get off the elevator. Ask if you need anything." Sesshomaru said. "To call room service just dial twenty."

"Arigato Sesshomaru." Kagome said as she watched him leave. He waved before shutting the door. "Your brother is so nice."

Inuyasha snorted. "Well let's unpack." He said. "That means you two have to get out." He pointed to Sango and Miroku.

"Well you don't have to be so rude Inuyasha." Miroku said. "If you want some alone time with Kagome you could've just asked."

Kagome threw a pillow at him but he shut the door to his room before it reached him. "Hentai." She said.

Inuyasha grabbed her from behind and tossed her on the bed. Kagome screamed but landed softly. He locked all the doors and pounced on Kagome. He nuzzled her neck before nipping it.

"I thought you said we need to unpack?" Kagome said. She didn't mind what he was doing.

"I didn't say we had to do it right this second." He said and licked from the base of her neck to her cheek. He smirked as she shivered. He was about to take her shirt off when her stomach growled.

"Gomen, I guess I'm hungry." She said.

Inuyasha sighed and helped her up. "Fine we'll eat first." He said.

"I'm going to see if Sango and Miroku want something to eat too." Kagome said. She hopped off the bed and walked to the door. "Sango, Miroku do you guys want something to eat?" She called. There was no answer.

"Come on I'm hungry too." Inuyasha said.

"They aren't answering." Kagome said.

"They probably can't hear you. Just open the door." Inuyasha said.

"That's rude."

"Fine I'll do it." Inuyasha said. He swung the door open. He walked into the room and stopped. Sango was lying on the bed with Miroku on top of her. One of his hands were on her butt while the other rested on her breast. "Oi, you little perverts." Inuyasha yelled.

Miroku looked at Inuyasha. Sango pushed Miroku off of her and blushed. "Did you have to interrupt?" Miroku said.

"Miroku." Sango yelled.

"What did you want me to stop?" He asked. Sango walked past him and hit him on the head. She walked into Kagome and Inuyasha's room.

"You just had to say that didn't you?" Inuyasha said. "She's probably mad at you, you know."

"Hai, I know." Miroku said. "Let's go get something to eat."

Kagome and Sango walked together and Inuyasha and Miroku walked behind them as they went to the elevator. They decided to go out to the restaurant they had seen earlier.

"What did Miroku do this time?" Kagome asked.

"He's being a hentai what else?" Sango said.

"Oh." Kagome said. "I know what will make you feel better. How about we have a sleep over? You can sleep in my room and I'll kick Inuyasha out."

"Arigato Kagome." Sango said.

"For what?" Kagome said.

"For trying to cheer me up." Sango smiled. "It's you who needs to cheer up. I'll tell Miroku later."

"I'll tell Inuyasha after dinner." Kagome said. "He might not be too happy about it though."

"Well we need a girls night." Sango said.

"What do you think they are talking about?" Miroku asked.

"I don't know. If you hadn't been talking I could have heard them." Inuyasha said.

"This doesn't look good." Miroku said. Both of the girls were giggling now.

"I don't think it does." Inuyasha said.

They walked into the restaurant and a waiter led them to their table. "Don't you think this restaurant is a little too fancy?" Kagome asked.

"No." Inuyasha said.

"I'm not dressed for this kind of restaurant." Sango said. "Kagome is though."

"It's the only kind of clothes Sesshomaru ordered." Kagome said.

"Hey now that I think of it, how did he know your bra and underwear size?" Miroku asked.

"Miroku." Sango yelled.

"I'm just curious." Miroku said. "You didn't tell him did you?"

"No." Kagome said.

"How did he know?" Inuyasha asked. "That bastards going to get it when I get back."

"He'd have to be staring at you to guess something like that. He didn't touch you did he?" Inuyasha yelled. "Cuz if he did." He shook his fist.

"He didn't touch me." Kagome said. "If it makes you feel better he had me call the place and order them myself while you were at school."

"Why didn't you say something in the first place?" He asked angrily.

"I don't know." Kagome said.

"Kagome…" He started saying but Kagome interrupted them.

"Ooh the food is here." She said. Inuyasha let it go for now. He was hungry too.

Everyone ate their food. When they were done Inuyasha paid for the food and they all left for the hotel. It was cold out so Kagome snuggled into Inuyasha. He wrapped his arms around her as they walked.

When they got to their rooms Kagome and Sango stopped outside before going in. "I'll tell him now. I'll get you when I'm done talking to him." Kagome said.

"Hai." Sango said.

Kagome walked back into the room. "Inuyasha." She said sweetly.

"What?" He asked. He'd never heard that tone of voice from her and he didn't think it was going to be good either.

"I was thinking that Sango and I should spend some time together you know have a girls night." Kagome said.

"Yeah so?" Inuyasha said.

"Well I wanted her to sleep over in our room." Kagome said.

Inuyasha could see where she was going with this. "No." Inuyasha said.

"Why not?" Kagome whined.

"Because that means I have to sleep in that room with the lech. I don't want him to accidentally grope me." Inuyasha said.

"He wouldn't do that. Besides the beds are pulled far apart. Please you said we could do whatever I want when we get here." Kagome said.

"I said WE." Inuyasha said.

"Please?" Kagome said with puppy eyes. "I'll make it up to you later."

Inuyasha couldn't resist her puppy eyes. That and she was going to make it up to him later. "Promise?" He said.

"Why do I feel like I just made a big mistake saying that?" Kagome said.

"Say you promise." Inuyasha said.

"I don't think I want to anymore." Kagome said. The look in his eyes promised mischief.

Inuyasha pushed her on the bed and crawled on top of her. He held both of her wrists above her head. "Say it."

"No." Kagome said. She began to laugh as Inuyasha tickled her with his free hand.

"Say it." He said.

"Ok, ok, I promise." Kagome laughed.

"Good." Inuyasha said. He kissed her. "You owe me double because your stomach ruined the moment last time."

"Hey that wasn't part of our deal." Kagome yelled as he walked to Miroku and Sango's room.

"Gomen Kagome I can't hear you." Inuyasha said as he walked in. "Oi, Sango Kagome's waiting for you."

Sango got up and walked into Kagome's room. Inuyasha jumped on Sango's bed. Him and Miroku watched TV in silence.

"So what did you do to get kicked out?" Miroku said breaking the silence.

"Nothing." Inuyasha said.

"Then why did you agree to their little sleep over?" Miroku said.

"Kagome owes me for tonight." Inuyasha said never taking his eyes off the screen.

"What does she owe you?" Miroku asked.

"Anything I want." Inuyasha said. "I made her promise too."

"Nice." Miroku said.

"That sucks." Sango said. Kagome had just finished telling her about the `terms' for letting Sango stay.

"You're telling me. He cheated." Kagome said. "He tickled me until I promised him."

"Well we'll just have to have a lot of fun tonight now won't we?" Sango said.

"Like we wouldn't have fun anyway." Kagome said.
