Chapter 36

Waiting For The Sunset

"Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha yelled. He almost broke the door down.

"What is it Inuyasha?" Sesshomaru said. He was getting tired of him barging into

his office. Every hour since Inuyasha had woken up, he'd barged into the office

yelling.

"Have you found anything out yet?" Inuyasha asked.

"I've told you before, if I find something I'll tell you." Sesshomaru said.

"Dammit." Inuyasha grumbled. He left the room.

Sesshomaru's computer beeped, informing him he had mail. He checked it and got

up. He might have found something useful. He walked to the elevator then to

Inuyasha's room. He opened the door.

"What did you find?" Inuyasha yelled.

Sesshomaru sighed. Hopefully his mate won't be taken again. "I have found the

whereabouts of Kagura. It might help." He said.

"Let's go then. So far she's the only lead we have." Miroku said. Everyone

grabbed their coats.

"Take this." Sesshomaru said handing Inuyasha a cell phone. "Press one and it'll

call my phone."

Inuyasha nodded and they all ran out. Sesshomaru shook his head. They all ran

back in. "We need the address she's at." Sango said.

"I know." Sesshomaru said, smirking.

Kagome woke up and looked around. She was still at Naraku's house. She was

hoping it was a dream. She noticed food was on the side of her bed. She wouldn't

eat it.

Kagome decided that she would do something about Naraku. Maybe she could hit him

with a blast of miko powers. Would it work? She'd used it once before and it

barely affected him. Maybe she needed to use more energy.

She didn't know how much power she'd need. The one time she attacked him was the

last. That was when he'd threatened to hurt her family if she did it again. He

didn't know where her family was. She decided she would try it the next time he

came in.

Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sango were going to the restaurant Kagura was at. Inuyasha

knew she was in there because he recognized her scent. "How are we going to do

this?" Sango asked.

"Well if we want her to answer our questions we need to get her alone." Miroku

said.

"I saw we rush in there and drag her out." Inuyasha said.

"Let's try not to cause a scene." Miroku said. "And Sango don't kill her yet."

"I can't promise anything." Sango crossed her arms. She was still pissed off

that Kagura had attacked her.

They saw their opportunity when Kagura walked out of the restaurant alone. She

was heading their way. They were currently standing in the park. "We can grab

her when she walks by." Miroku said.

A couple minutes and Kagura walked by. They grabbed her and held her down. "What

the fuck are you doing?" Kagura asked. Then she realized who it was. `Damn! How

did I miss his scent?' Kagura thought.

"Where the fuck is Naraku hiding Kagome?" Inuyasha growled.

"What are you talking about hiding her? Naraku wants her dead." Kagura hissed.

"No, he doesn't." Miroku said.

"What are you talking about? He said he wanted her dead. That's the only reason

why I agreed to help him." Kagura said.

"He doesn't want Kagome dead, he wants her for his mate, you stupid woman!"

Inuyasha said.

"He must've lied to you to get you to help him." Sango said. "Wait a minute, if

he wanted Kagome dead why the hell did you attack me?"

"Naraku said to attack her friends to make her suffer before she died." Kagura

said. She was pissed he lied to her.

"Why do you want Kagome dead?" Miroku asked.

"She's a miko. My parents were killed by mikos and I want her dead." Kagura

said.

"Kagome wouldn't do anything like that. She only uses her miko powers to protect

herself." Inuyasha said.

"Don't feed me that bullshit. She's probably killed a hundred youkai." Kagura

yelled.

"If she hated youkai so much why would she mate with me? I'm a hanyou." Inuyasha

said.

Kagura thought about it. How could she have been so stupid? Her hatred for the

mikos that killed her parents made her hurt innocent people. Damn that Naraku.

"I don't know where Kagome is." Kagura said. "But I can tell you where he

lives."

"Where is it?" Inuyasha asked. Sango and Miroku let her go. They figured she was

going to help now.

"I don't know if he'll still be there though." Kagura said. She told them the

directions of where he lived.

They called Sesshomaru and told them where they thought Naraku lived. He just

told them good luck and don't do anything stupid. That last comment was directed

at Inuyasha.

Naraku's house was on the other side of town. They wouldn't get there for a

while. Hopefully it was the right house. And hopefully Kagome would be fine.

Kagome heard the door opening. She sat up in the bed. If it was Naraku she was

going to let him have it.

"How are you doing Kagome?" Naraku asked.

"Fine." Kagome smiled.

"Are you finally warming up to me?" He asked.

"No." Kagome shook her head. She held her hands out in front of her and faced

her palms out in front of her. She concentrated on her energy and shot it at

Naraku from her palms.

A blue light went towards him. When it reached an inch in front of him it

stopped and disappeared. He looked at her and smirked. "Do you really think I'm

that stupid? I'm immune to your miko powers." Naraku said walking over to the

bed and sitting down at the edge.

"How is that possible?" Kagome said.

"I got help from another miko." Naraku said. "You only have a few more hours."

He said. He got up and walked out of the room.

She couldn't believe it. It didn't work. He got help from some other miko. Only

a few more hours? Then it dawned on her. She brought her hand to the bite mark

on her neck. It was like it was healing. How could a drink erase a mating mark?

A couple of hours later Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sango got off the train. It was

the only way to get there. "She said the house is by the park." Sango said.

"That park has a lot of trees so we're not going to be able to see the houses."

Miroku said.

"We need to get moving." Inuyasha said.

"Inuyasha you go ahead of us." Miroku said. "We're only slowing you down."

"Hai." Sango said. "If it's the wrong house then come back and find us."

Inuyasha nodded and jumped on the nearest building. "Do you think he'll make it

in time?" Sango asked as they headed towards Naraku's house.

"I don't know. Kagome's been gone for a while. For all we know Naraku could've

already done something to her." Miroku said. "I can't believe we didn't bring a

car."

They had to walk all the way to Naraku's house. There were a couple of mansions

in the area. No taxis or buses ran down that way. Only the rich old people lived

there. Trees surrounded all the houses.

Kagome was running around the room trying to find a way out. She was on the

second floor and Ryo was watching the door. She tried to get out that

wayearlier. He hit her and threw her on the bed.

She tried to open the window. It wouldn't open. "What kind of window doesn't

open?" Kagome yelled.

"One that's not supposed to."

Kagome froze and slowly turned around. When had Naraku gotten in the room? She

didn't hear the door open. She hadn't even noticed his presence until he spoke.

"I thought we could watch the sun set together." Naraku said. "The view is great

from this window."

"I don't want to." Kagome said. She started walking back towards the bed.

Naraku smiled and grabbed her from behind forcing her arms down. He dragged her

over to the window. "Watch." He said.

Kagome wanted to cry, but she didn't. She didn't want Naraku to enjoy her tears.

As the sun went down the mark started feeling like it was on fire. `How is it

going away?' She wondered.

"The thing you drank heals all wounds." Naraku answered her unasked question.

"The mark is healing. Your body doesn't recognize that it's a sign of

possession, so it's slowly healing it."

Kagome didn't care anymore. She let it all out and cried. She couldn't wipe the

tears away even if she wanted to. He was holding her arms down. `Inuyasha.'

Kagome thought.

Hope you like it. Sorry for some of the confusion. I was going to write most of the stuff in this chapter. Some people asked how would you get rid of the mark? Or why doesn't she use her miko powers?
