Ryu's Torch Chapter one

Sakuya's POV

Sakuya ran as fast as she could through the forest. She dodges trees, roots and small woodland creatures in her hast to get away from the predator that followed. “Why can't these males get a hint' she thought as she continued to run. It was the Inu's mating season and she didn't want to participate. She was new to the game as she had just come of age this year. She didn't want to have some random male's pups and then have him come and take them away after they are weaned to be raised by his mate. Cubs were born in the winter and those raise by an unmated female rarely survive. She wanted a mate. So far the young inu female had outrun and outwitted every male that had come after her and it was nearing the end of the season, everyone except, the one that chased her now. She had been running for two days now and had yet to get away from him. There were less unmated female dog demons then there were males, so none ever escaped mating season that were not mated already. All males participated in mating season but only unmated females came out during the season.

 

It started to rain. The female let out a feral grow and her new problem. Now she had to try and out wit the fast male in the wet. She kept running. Soon she had come across a meadow and stopped dead. There standing in the middle of the meadow was several of the males that she had escaped from previously. And they were all grinning at her maliciously. They had decided to gang up on her to bring her down so they can mate with her. She charged them, hoping that she could fight her way out of this before the male that was chasing her decided to join them.

 

Sakuya fought with all that she had, knocking two out in her initial charge. She had no where to run as she was surrounded by the remaining dog demons. She clawed and bit her way through the mass of testosterone leaving may with deep gashes. But they wouldn't stop; they were still under the influence of mating season. She was slightly surprised that they even had thought to fight together to take her down. She felt a set of claws scrap across her back and she let out a scream.

 

POV Change

He chased her through the woods as it started to rain. He never had any interest in the females that threw themselves at him during mating season. He was disgusted by the actions, they simple wanted to bed him or any other male that graced their presence. He had caught the scent of an untaken female this late in the season decided to see who had kept herself from breeding for two months. He had approached her when he found her but she had run from him. This was different; no female had ever run from him before. It excited his inner beast and brought out his wild side. So far the little inu female had kept him at bay for two days and the longer she ran the more his beast took his precious control away. He listened as she let out the growl at the rain and laughed. The females he knew rarely growled for some reason, and he liked the wild little dog that he was chasing.

 

He stopped as she had some to the clearing, reining in his beast as he smelled her evident fear. He watched as she stood in amazement of the several males in front her. He had heard that several of his best guardsmen were going to gang up on a female that had evaded them for the season. He watched in amusement as the female proceeded to beat the shit out of his guards. She fought with a grace that he had never seen before.

 

She would be wonderful dancing with the fans for you. His beast cooed at him

 

Like you would know, it is evident that she does not want to be with any males this season. He sent back at it trying to rein the dog in again.

 

She is young and scared; she has never had a male before.

 

I can smell that. I can also smell that she was raise wild and does not know who I am.

 

Isn't that what you want, a strong mate that will actually want you for something other then your position.

 

Yes.

 

The lets court her.

 

Why the calm advice all of a sudden usually you tell me to fuck the bitch and get on with fucking other bitches.

 

I am only looking out for the future, you and I both like this bitch and she would be an excellent pup raiser and a strong one to have at our side in battle.

 

Fine I will court her but that means we can not touch her till she accepts.

 

I have no problem with that.

 

The male inu felt the pull to mate die within him to something he could ignore more easily. His beast had found a female he wanted to make his mate permanently. He tuned back to her fight with his guards and saw that she had all but two knocked out. Her scent told him that she was getting more agitated and fearful by the minute. He never thought that a mere female could defeat some of his best guards, he had trained them himself. He noticed that she was able to control poison. He felt his beast stir again proud that it had chose such a worthy female. He growled softly when one of the males raked his claws across her back causing the poor creature to scream out. She whipped around and punched him square on the jaw, knocking him out as well.

 

Sakuya's POV

Sakuya circled around as the last guard faced her, he had hung out of the fight so far probably hoping to get a tired female that he could have his way with. `Well if he thinks he is going to beat me then he has another thing coming' She thought as she sized up the last male that she had to contend with before she faced her pursuer. He was larger then all the others, he would be harder to defeat. Sakuya growled as the male charged at her. She brought her hand up and her claws dripped poison. She slashed at his face and drew blood. He caught her arm and sliced it open. She bit his hand and he sliced her thigh.

 

“Lord Kyo,”

 

Sakuya whipped around to face the male that had been chasing her for the past two days. He was tall and handsome. His skin was lightly tanned. His long white hair was tied low and come down to his knees. His face was gentle and bore two blue jagged stripes one on each check. He wore a white men's kimono with a blue pattern on the collar and sleeves. He wore simple black bone armor that covered his chest. His pants were white and he had on black leather boots. He had a presence about him that spoke of his station and that he knew how to use it when he wanted too. She was looking at the prince of dogs. She suddenly felt faint.

 

Kyo's POV

Kyo had watched the female that he had pursue for two days fight with his head guard. He had seen the tactics that the band had used the rest had fought first to tire her out and then he would take the prize. He could not allow that. She was tired from the chase and then had to fight all the other guards at once and now his best guard. He decided to step in.

 

“Kouga, what do you think you are doing?” he asked of the baffled guard. He watched emotions that crossed the face of the inu bitch, and almost laughed when she realized who he was.

 

“Sir?” the burly male asked.

 

“Take your pathetic men and get out of my sight until you are able to beat a female.”

 

“Yes sir.”

 

“Miss, could you come with me?” Kyo asked the female. He watched as she fainted, catching her as she fell.

 

Kyo picked her up in his arms and started to walk away with her. He now could get a good look at her. She had a good body, well toned and her skin was a little bit tanned. She had on an unrestricting short skirt and chest armor of female fighters that did little more then cover her ample breasts. The black leather of her out fit complemented her figure well, and the quality was very high. Her black leather boots came up to her knees, but were not heeled, giving the impression this female didn't desire the extra height others females used to try to gain some kind of over control over things around them. This Inu had an air around her that she already control the world around her and needed any aid from apparel. Her boots also had what looked to be metal claws that extended past the toe and then curved downward. Those could do some damage if used right. Her stomach was bare, flat and unscarred. Her hair was that of a well bred Inu's, silver-white and several feet long, though hers was slightly different. The last several inched of her hair was tipped deep blue, and as the Lord could not smell any of the crude hair dyes those others females sometimes had the habit of using, so this feature was apparently natural. Her hair shimmered in the waning light; a trait of being usually well taken care of with expensive soaps and oils but this female smelled of none of those. Her face held a blue crescent moon on her forehead and each check has two red strips that showed up well on her pale skin. Kyo found it odd to find such fine features on a wild bred inu but he would find out her history later.

 

Kyo walked faster when he realized that her wounds were still bleeding. He headed towards the mountains. He followed a river for several miles before coming to a spectacular waterfall. He sniffed the air testing to see if he was followed. He checked his surroundings by sight quickly before stepping through the cascading water into a cavern that was hidden by the falls. He set his charge down on a bed of pelts that he had accumulated from his hunting over the years.

 

Sakuya's POV

Sakuya awoke when she was gently dropped on the bed of pelts. She watched as her lord walked to the back of the cave and moved a rock that revealed a crevasse behind it. He pulled out what looked to be bandages and balm. She noticed what looked like a pool fed by a spring at the back of the cave and a passage that went father back underground. `Judging by the heat, the pool must be fed by a hot spring,' she thought as she tried to get up. Her back hurt like hell and she felt dizzy.

 

“Please don't get up yet?” a hand came a pressed against her chest preventing her from getting up.

 

“Forgive me, my lord, I do not wish to burden you.” She said, pressing against the hand that held her down.

 

“I wish to tend to your wounds and simply talk to you.” The prince of dogs said taking his hand off her and preparing the salve for her cuts. “Please remove your armor so I may bind your back.”

 

“Oh, I see how it is you are only doing this to get me naked.” She hissed back at him slapping him across the cheek.

 

“No, no, that is not my intentions at all.” he said backing away.

 

“Really, why should I believe you? All you stupid males think about the same thing at this time of the year.” Sakuya said getting further away from the male.

 

Kyo's POV

“And why do you think that I am still unmated and have no cubs, even though I have been through about 50 seasons,” Kyo said going on the offensive. “I have control.”

 

He watched as she stared at him slightly gap jawed. He took his hand and gently pressed he jaws back together. She lunged at him. He rolled with her around till he was on top and had her pinned.

 

“Submit.” He demanded of her.

 

“I submit to no one.” She growled back at him trying to break free of his grasp on her wrists.

 

“Submit, or I will give you to the guards to have there way with you.” She stilled after that but continued to growl.

 

“I have no intentions of mating or raping you at this time so calm down.” He said easing off the pressure. His only response was a growl.

 

“You have every reason to doubt my intentions after I had chased you for two days. You should doubt any males' intentions during mating season. By the way what is your name and why are you running so hard form every suitor that has come after you?” he asked her turning around so she could remove her armor.

 

He smelled the fear coming off of her. “So she is afraid of me and what I will do to her' he thought pacifying his beast that was trying to brake free so it could comfort the girl. He smelled anger too but ignored that. He turned back around to find her with her armor off and her arms covering her ample breasts. He started to clean the deep gashes on her back before gently rubbing in the salve that would help the long parallel wounds to heal. He wrapped the strips of clothe that he had gotten around her chest and moved on to her arm. When he had done the same thing to her arm and her thigh he put the bandages away and came back to sit with the inu female. He noticed that her anger had gotten worse, and she still had not answered his questions.

 

“You still have not told me your name nor why you run every rime some one wants to mate with you. Do you not find any of my subjects good enough for you?” he asked getting anger himself at her silence.

 

He watched as she got up, put her armor back on and walked out of the cave. When he realized what she was doing, he jumped up and ran to follow her. By the tome that he made it out of the waterfall she was gone.

 

Good one you lost her his beast barked as he tried to pick up her sent.

 

Like you could have done any better. Kyo barked back.
