/Hosagi's Jagan Eye's Thought's/ Yes I know Hiei's doesn't talk to him I thought it would be kewl if it had a mind of its own. Sort of like how other authors have Youko and Shuichi speak to each other in Shuichi's head.

Chapter 1: Day 1
Flashback
One look at the garden would show that it was elegantly kept. The flowers were pruned to perfection, and the soil around them was totally devoid of weeds. The faint sound of children laughter can be heard in the wind.
A closer look reveals two young children, one male and one female, in matching red outfits chasing each other in a playful manor. As their chase got closer and closer to some bushes a strange creature appears to leap out of the bush before them.
“AHHHH,” screams the girl as she turns to run behind the boy for protection.
“Don't worry Kojima;” says the boy, “I'll protect you today, tomorrow, and forever. I'll kill this beast and we can get back to our game.”
Quickly the boy turns around, and with one swipe of his claws he makes quick work of the bothersome creature. The boy quickly turns around to comfort the little girl with a warm embrace.
“It's alright Kojima, the creature is gone,” he says as he comforts the frightened young girl.
He brings his hand up to comfort the girl only to find out that she has mysteriously vanished. “Kojima? Where did you go?” cries the little boy.
“KOJIMA!”
End Flashback
Alone in a dark room a boy with long silver hair and red pajama bottoms lies awake in his bed. His hair, wet with sweat, plastered to his face and body as he looks around his room and attempts to steady his breathing.
He realizes that he's back in his room, in the same house that he shares with his two uncles, aunt and grandmother.
“Damn, it's the same dream as the night before,” he mutters. “I really hope I did not wake my aunt again.” All of a sudden soft footsteps can be heard walking down the hall towards the boy's room. “Damn it, I did wake her up.”
A soft knock can be heard at the door. As it opens a female sticks her head in and under quiet concerned yet mildly annoyed voice asks, “Did you have that dream again Hosagi? Don't lie to me.”
“Yes I did Aunt Kagome. I am sorry for waking you,” says Hosagi as he gets out of bed.
He heads toward his closet to get out his normal outfit he usually wears, being stopped by a hand placed on his shoulder.
“Where do you think your going at this hour in the morning?” Kagome asks.
“I think I will go on a short patrol to try to relax myself,” Hosagi replied.
“At six o'clock in the morning? It's too early for you to be patrolling. Not to mention you start school today,“ she says in a startled voice. “What if you die or the patrolling tires you out so you can't pay attention in school?”
“Don't worry, Aunt Kagome nothing will happen to me. These weak ningen's can't hurt me, and the only demons I've seen are just as weak and usually run in fear from me, for some strange reason, besides I doubt I'll have that much to do, most of the ningen's are just waking up to start their day and wont come out for another hour or two,” he says while getting dressed.
“Why did you enroll me at your cousin's school? The last thing I need is to have to baby sit some weak ningen on top of school work.”
“I worry about you because I love you, you're my favorite nephew. Besides you're not there to baby sit Yusuke, he's strong enough to defend himself. You're there to make sure he attends school. Both Kayko and I are tired of him ditching class whenever he feels like it,” she stated.
“I'm your only nephew, but I'll do this for you. Oh before I forget I going to be late for dinner I'm going to do one more round of patrolling after school,” he said as he grabbed his silver chase and headed for the door. “And I love you too.”
A few blocks away in a dark alley:
“Please don't hurt me. I'll give you anything you want just don't hurt me!” exclaimed a frightened young lady.
“Don't worry, what I want from you won't hurt you…much. Just don't fight and this will go over as pain free as I can make it,” said a criminal dressed in a black outfit.
“You know, its ningen's like you that give the rest of them a bad name,” says Hosagi from a dark corner of the street. “I'll give you two options, either you turn and run like the coward that you are, or you can get your ass handed to you by me.”
“Get out of here kid, I think I hear your mommy calling you,” says the criminal in a sarcastic tone which earned him a bestial growl from Hosagi.
“Do you know who that guy is?” says the female. “That's the `Red Samurai'.”
Hosagi sighed, “I was hoping not to run in to one of my fans,” he says as he placed his head into his hand, shaking it in disbelief.
“Hah, this kid can't be the fabled `Red Samurai', and I'll prove it by kicking his ass,” says the criminal.
Seeing that Hosagi wasn't taking him seriously he began to get angry.
“COME ON AND FIGHT ME YOU PUNK KID!” He shouts.
“You're not even worth the time or the hassle of me taking my swords out of the case,” says Hosagi.
He takes a look at his a watch and gasps. “I don't have time to give you the fight you want, I have school to go to. So I am going to do this as quickly as possible.” With that Hosagi swings his silver case, knocking out the would be criminal.
“There is a police officer down the street tell him what happened and where to find your attacker. Please try to leave me out of this I have enough to worry about. I really don't need, or want a fan club following me around wherever I go.” Hosagi told the speechless girl before turning without a backward glance and disappearing.
Sarayashiki High School: (I know their in Junior High School, but I'd rather they be in High School for my story)
“Before we do roll call, I'd like to introduce a new student,” says the teacher. “Please step in and introduce yourself, and where you're from.”
“Salutations, my name is Hosagi Matissmo, I currently live at the Higurashi Shinto Shrine, with my two uncles, my aunt, and my grandmother,” says Hosagi.
“I'll give you fair warning. Stay clear of Yusuke Urameshi. He is a rotten apple, and a trouble maker. He'll only bring you down with him,” warns the teacher.
“Real honorable remark coming from a teacher, verbally attacking a student while he isn't even here to defend himself,” says Hosagi while eyeing the teacher.
“Oh so we have another punk kid in our school. What can a punk kid like you know what honor truly means?” asked the teacher never noticing that Hosagi's had eyes flashed a deep crimson red.
“My aunt and grandmother both taught me the true meaning of honor, and if I recall correctly it didn't include verbally attacking someone who is not present to defend themselves. Besides Yusuke is a relative of mine and I do not take kindly to someone who attacks a relative. Unlike him though I wish to complete school and go to college so I can get a high paying job,” says Hosagi.
“Good man, I see you have chosen the correct path to follow. Will you please take the seat next to Kayko and we shall begin today's lecture,” says the teacher which causes everyone in the classroom to let out a low groan.
(90 minutes later outside the classroom)
“I see Yusuke didn't bother showing up for class today. Do you know where I can find him Kayko?” asked Hosagi.
“If he even bothered to attend school today, he will probably be on the roof napping. If you want I can go with you to get him,” says Kayko.
“Nah, I promised Aunt Kagome that I would make sure he'd get to class, and if that means I have to drag him from the roof to the next class I will do that. If it comes down to me having to me fight him, I'd feel much better if I didn't have to worry about your safety. If you got hurt I don't want to have to tell my aunt that it was because of my actions or inactions,” says Hosagi as he heads towards the roof of the school.
“Hey Kayko,” says a girl approaching Kayko after she watched Hosagi head towards the schools roof.
“You know who that is? He's the guy they mention on the news every night. I think they call him the `Red Samurai' because of the red trench coat and red bandana he wears. Plus the twin silver dragon katana's he supposedly wields.”
“You think that Hosagi is the `Red Samurai'? I highly doubt that he is this fabled `Red Samurai'. For one thing I know for a fact that he's a major book worm. Another is that just like his aunt he detests violence in all forms. I doubt he even knows how to wield a sword, let alone use one,” says Kayko.
“He is really cute though. Do you know if his hair naturally silver or if he dyed it?” asked the girl.
“I think his hair is naturally silver, my best friend's husband, his uncle, also has silver hair. Plus he's to caught up in school work to date any one, I think he's trying to be prove to someone that he is his own person” said Kayko.
“Come on Kayko don't deny it, you think he's cute too,” says the girl.
“Umm….” Kayko says with a slight blush forming on her cheeks.
“I thought so,” said the girl trying to stiffen her giggles behind her hands, failing as she watched Kayko head towards the stairs that lead toward the school's roof.
(School Rooftop)
“Yusuke, I know you're up here. You can either come with me willingly or I'll drag you to class with a few bruises your choice. Please make it fast I'd like my first impression in this school to be a good one,” says Hosagi.
“Did Kayko send you up here to get me?” asked Yusuke not even bothering to see who called for him.
“Yes and no,” says Hosagi. “She is part of the reason I'm up here. The real person responsible for me being here is your cousin. She and Kayko are tired of you ditching school. I'm here to make sure you attend every one of your classes,” says Hosagi.
“How do you know Kagome?” asks Yusuke a bit puzzled.
“She's my aunt, and because I care for her I promised to watch out for you so you don't cause her and Kayko anymore grief,” says Hosagi.
“That's impossible she's the eldest child in her family,” says Yusuke.
“You really need to stop by more often. Aunt Kagome has grown up a lot since you last her. She has also gotten married, but that's beside the point. Now I know she detests violence but I am pretty sure she'd accept the fact that I had to use a moderate amount of violence in order to make sure you attend every single one of your classes,” says Hosagi. “Please put up a fight. If your half as good as the rumors say you are it would be interesting fight.”
“I haven't had a good fight in a long time,” said Yusuke getting into his typical fighting stance.
“You know…..” Hosagi started to say.
“Yusuke, Hosagi stop acting so childish and get to class,” said an angry and irate Kayko. “I expect as much from you Yusuke, but you Hosagi? I wonder what Kagome would say if she knew that you instigated a fight with her cousin.”
“I was told to make sure he attended class. I am concerned his constant ditching was causing uncalled-for anguish upon you and her. So I figured that the only way to get it through his thick skull was to beat some since in to him,” said Hosagi.
“That will make you no better than Yusuke. I think its sweet of you that you are concerned about mine and Kagome's emotional welfare but if you sink down to his level you'll be no better than he is. No offense Yusuke, but you are a little juvenile, and that's why I love you. I'll tell you what, if both of you agree to attend each of your classes and behave properly. I might forget this little incident and not tell Kagome,” says Kayko.
/You know for a ningen she hit the nail on the head/
[Who are you]
/I'll answer any questions about me after you get done with your first day of school. Just agree with her and kindly escort her to the next class/
[You better be awake by then]
Seeing that Hosagi was deep in thought, Kayko went up to him and asked, “Is there something wrong Hosagi?”
“No, nothing is wrong. I just got lost in my thoughts. Your right it was childish of me to pick a fight with Yusuke. How bout I join you on your way to our next class,” says Hosagi holding the roof top door open for Kayko to go thru.
“Well at least one of you two can be a gentleman. Remember Yusuke, attend class and I wont tell Kagome that you picked a fight with her only nephew. Now let's get going to our next class Hosagi. You don't want to make a bad impression on your first day, do you?” said Kayko as she, and Hosagi walked through the door down to the school.
(Still On the Roof)
*A slight ringing can be heard from Yusuke's pocket*
“What now Botan, I already got yelled at by Kayko once today. What's the toddler want now?” asked an irate Yusuke.
“Lord Koenma has a couple of missions for you,” said Botan.
“Should I get Kuwabara?” he asked.
“No Koenma said these missions are for only you, Kurama, and Hiei. Something about one of them probably having to deal with a child and a half-brother of one of the Lord's of the Makai” She stated.
“Ok, open a portal then please.” He says still a little angry.
