Sango tapped her pencil on the piece of paper that just so happened to be the victim of the incessant pounding.
'I am going to kill that hentai,' she vowed as she looked over two rows and was looking at the back of the mans head.
Kagome looked worriedly from her friend to the man who was on the receiving end of some major death stares, and Kagome had to fight hard to stifle the laugh that was longing to escape.
With much effort, she turned to her notebook and quickly scribbled the note before she
quietly tore it out and passed it quickly over to her disgruntled friend.
Sango quirked an eyebrow as she grabbed the note, 'was it really that bad?'
Sango looked flabbergast at her friend.
With that look the laugh that escaped Kagome's mouth was inevitable.
"Is there a problem, Higurashi?"
Kagome turned to her sensei who looked bored beyond relief as a small blush made its way across her cheeks, "Apologies, Takahashi Sensei."
Takahashi-san stared at her a moment before rolling his eyes, "well, I suppose that is enough for today. Dismissed."
He looked back over to the brown haired girl that made a disturbance in his class, "Higurashi, can I speak to you a moment?"
Kagome felt her face blush as she nodded to Sango, "I will catch up with you," she promised as the other woman left her with the tall teacher.
It was not the first time she was reminded of another man. Every time she looked at Takahashi sensei was was vaguely reminded of InuYasha.
"Yes, Takahashi sir," Kagome replied slowly. It was not every day that a student was called to his attention, so to say that she was nervous would be a bout for the fools.
"I require assistance tonight, and your presence is required," he started casually.
"Assistance," the hesitation was a heavy accent to her normal voice.
"Yes."
Kagome blinked at him. Apparently that was as much of an answer as she was going to get.
"I am sorry, sir, but what type of assistance?" she pried. She really did not want to commit to anything unless she knew fully what she was getting into.
"I require a guest at a social event, and if you are still open to the extra credit opportunity, it is yours," he finally submitted.
Kagome felt a blush stain her cheeks as her face lowered. "Um, I mean, thank you for the offer, but I – I am not that –"
"I am not propositioning you, Higurashi," he quickly replied sensing the woman's nerves. "Just a humble gathering that I am too tired to actual acquire a proper date," he replied.
Kagome felt her eyes widen as his words concreted themselves in her mind. "So, a date?"
Just saying it out loud forced the blush back with a vengeance.
A small grin aligned his features, "just a gathering Higurashi, nothing more."
Kagome looked at her dark haired sensei. She was not going to lie, he was rather attractive, but –
"Tonight?"
He heard the masked dread in her voice, and he had to hide just how unnerving the conversation was becoming. There was only a few ways a person could state what was already in the open.
"Yes."
He watched her coolly collect her thoughts, before she turned to him.
"What time?"
For the first time that day, the grin he gave her was not forced.

"So, you are basically telling me that your hot teacher asked you out?"
Kagome tried to hide her blush from her friend, "Rin, that is not at all what I said."
Rin rolled her eyes, "I heard what you said, but I also heard what you did not say, Kagome."
Ayame nodded her head, "yeah, it was definitely there between the lines."
Kagome tried to conceal her head in her pillow. "This is stupid right? I am being stupid. I should just text him and tell him that I am going to have to cancel for t –"
"You can't do that!" Rin interjected.
Ayame lifted her eyebrows at the younger girl. "And just why can't she do that?"
"It is the proper thing," she replied easily, "and not to mention, for all unlucky girls like me, you owe us to go out with some hunky teachers," Rin smiled.
'So that is the real reason,' Ayame grumbled to herself.
She got up from her position on Kagome's bedroom floor, "Well, I need to go and get ready for my date tonight."
Rin turned to her, "now look who is blushing, Kagome."
Ayame waved her hand at her friend, "it's just, Kouga," she replied trying to wave her friend off.
Rin rolled her eyes, "which you are hopelessly in love with."
Ayame closed her mouth, finding the corner in Kagome's room really interesting at the moment.
"Oh, hush, Rin," Sango interjected, seeming to come out of nowhere. "Let the girl have fun," she replied, pushing Ayame out of the room.
The other girl, grateful for the chance to leave, quickly scampered out of the room to get ready for her date.
Sango leaned against Kagome's door frame, staring over at the girl who still had her face covered in blankets and under her pillow.
"Kagome, it is not going to be that bad," she replied as she made her way over to the bed.
Kagome grumbled under the encampment of the fabric, but made no move to remove the bindings over her small frame.
Sango sighed as she looked down at the lump her friend made in the bed. Thinking that Kagome had been asked by Takahashi Sensei was just weird, but her friend needed her at the moment, and she was not going to let her down.
She locked eyes with Rin and winked at her. They silently discussed their plan, before the other girl quietly made her way over to Kagome's bed.
Sango held up three fingers and once they reached one, Rin and Sango pounced on Kagome under the blankets and started tickling her.
Kagome emerged all red faced and trying to breathe. "Okay, okay, I will get ready," she seceded.
Rin smiled at her, "Kagome, you should be happy. Stop always making situations bigger then they need to be, plus," she started defining her muscles as she pulled at the sleeve of her shirt, "if that hunky teacher tries anything," she stopped a moment and dropped her hands as she looked at her friend, "you know me and Sango will kick his ass."
Sango laughed out loud at Rins' remark, but didn't deny it. "Although, I don't think he would, we still have your back."

"So, you want her number?"
"That is what I said."
"Hmm."
The golden eyed man rolled his eyes, "listen Miro, if you don't hand over her number –"
Miroku laughed, "What will you do?" He chided.
InuYasha hung his head. He knew that he could track the other man down, but that would do nothing to actually get him to give him Kagome's number, but instead of actually begging the other man to give it to him or even worse, owing him a favor, he would do the smart thing.
Blackmail.
"I remember this conversation we had about Kimura a few days ago," he began slowly.
The silence on the other end of the phone gave him all assurance he needed, "So it was a Miss Higurashi you were inquiring about?"
The grin on his face got even wider, "make it her address too."

It was meant to be a formal gathering. A traditional gathering.
So when the light yellow kimono arrived for her, she was slightly taken off guard.
"The man certainly has taste," Rin mumbled as she looked over the beautiful gown adorned in little sakura blossoms.
Kagome shook her head, "but it's too much."
Rin took out the orange obi and held it against the dress, "Kagome, apparently the man can afford it which is why he sent it, but the real question you should ask yourself is... how did he get the address."
Kagome felt her eye twitch as she looked over at her friend. Dawning of what she said transfixed in her mind, "Oh my god, he is a stalker!"
Rin laughed, "maybe, but he might have just looked in the registry," Rin hinted, thinking that her idea was a little more believable.
"Oh," Kagome replied the blush lining her cheeks.
Huffing a sigh, she took the dress out of the box. She was surprised when it arrived for her thirty minutes prior.
Rin took her arm and dragged her to her bedroom. She took the clothing from her arms and pulled at her shirt. "You need to get dressed. It is 5:30, and the way you and Sango described him, it sounds like he does not like to be disappointed, so you better be ready in thirty minutes."
Kagome nodded her head, and began taking off her clothes. "What is every one else up to tonight?" Suddenly realizing that all the attention had been focused on her and wanting to rectify the idea that all the attention should be.
Rin lifted her shoulders, "Ayame is going on a date with Yoshida," she reminded her as she twinkled her eyes, mimicking her friend.
Kagome felt a smile make its way across her face, "she really does love him."
"Yeah," Rin agreed. She just hoped that the other man would start to act the same towards their friend. She did not miss the stares he still sent to Kagome to this day, even if their relationship ended almost a year ago.
Sensing her friends thoughts, "I do think he loves her too," Kagome told Rin.
Rin let out a large breath, "It's not that he doesn't. A fool could see that he does. It's just … no, you are right," she agreed, not wanting to bombard her friend with that news.
With a few more tucks, Kagome was in the formal kimono.
Rin spun her around, "gorgeous."
Kagome felt a dusting of her cheeks at her friends approval.
"Too bad another Takahashi we know won't be there," Rin stated suddenly.
“I wonder if they are related?” Rin asked herself as she pointed her chin.
The rosiness grew along Kagomes' cheeks, but she looked the other way. Although she didn't hear her friends silent inquiry she did not want to let her friend know her thoughts had traveled the same path not moments before. To Takahashi. "That baka," she grumbled instead.
Rin laughed, "speaking of 'the baka', what happened the other day?"
Kagome hid her face from her friend. She was grateful when the week went by and none of her friends had mentioned the incident that occurred on stage, but she knew it was going to come up eventually.
The grin that made it's way across her face was not missed by the other girl.
"If I tell you this Rin, you must keep it between us," she turned to her friend seriously.
She knew that secrets were not common place between the four girls, but if Kagome was that serious about what she was about to tell her, she was not about to let her down.
She briefly nodded her head in agreement.
Kagome sat on the bed, thinking over exactly how to phrase what it was she knew she felt.
Staring down at her hands she mumbled, "have you ever met someone that despite all logic and reason. Despite all error and negativity you try to throw at it, they just – " Kagome giggled self-consciously.
Rin placed a steady hand on the other girls shoulder as she sat next to her on the bed, "you really like this guy don't you?"
For the first time in a while, there was no teasing in her voice only true, unabashed concern.
Kagome slightly nodded her head as she looked back down to her hands, "it's dumb isn't it?"
Rin laughed at that, "being human yes, dumb," she shook her head, "hell no."
Kagome laughed at her friend.
Rin got up from the bed, "you know what this means, don't you?"
Kagome shot her a concerned gaze as she shook her head.
Rin smiled mischievously, "you have to make him beg for you."
The flush on Kagomes' cheeks was immediate, and Rin's laughter continued as she dragged the stunned girl into the living room to await her date.
