InuYasha rubbed his head. His dreams were just becoming more and more irritating, and this last one was no exception.

InuYasha bit her shirt to hold back his groan.

They had to be quiet.

She gazed up at him with that look in her blue eyes. She had that hunger that spoke to him in the deepest recesses of his being.

She rolled her head back as she arched into him.

He tightened his claws on her hips.

He was loosing his senses. The battle for dominance was almost complete.

"Go, InuYasha," she mumbled.

He brought his mouth to her neck. He felt her tighten around him. It was almost time.

He looked down at her red cheeks. His heart felt so complete.

"You ready?"

She bit her lip. He knew she was so close – too close.

"Yes, make me yours," she told him as she touched his face with such warmth.

He looked into her cerulean eyes.

He wanted to say it. He needed to. She deserved it, and she deserved so much more.

He speed up.

He felt the pressure building within him. He knew it was time.

He just needed a couple more pushes.

"I love you, Kagome," he told her as his mouth bit down at the nape of her neck.

That was the push she needed as her orgasm came in secession to his own.

There was a few moments of silence. Their heartbeats were erratic, and he had to smile. Their hearts were mimicking each other. Soon they would share the same beat. As mates.

He snuggled into her neck.

His eyes widened as he looked down at his new mate. "What -," he asked her concerned.

Her beautiful blue eyes were staring up at him as a small trace of tears slowly slid down the side of her face.

He touched her cheek with his hands, being careful of his claws as he tried stop her tears. He never wanted to see her cry. She had cried too much over him already.

He tightly closed his eyes.

He thought she was enjoying it. He must have been wrong.

"I'm sorry."

Her laugh took him off guard.

His golden eyes widened as he quickly looked back down to the woman beneath him.

"InuYasha no baka," she told him after a moment. The one phrase he heard too many times to count.

His heart pounded in his chest. He didn't want to question what she meant by that. He would die if she meant what he feared.

She closed her eyes as she lifted her hand to trace the contours of his face. "You just make me so happy," she told him finally. Her blue eyes shining up at him.

He closed his eyes as he rubbed his mates nose with his own.

"Kagome."

There was so much that he wanted to say, but at the same time, there was so much that alluded him. He was always a failure when it came to words.

"Don't ever change," he told her finally.

She laughed at that, "you say that quite often, you know?" She asked him as she looked into his eyes.

He smiled at her, "it's because I mean it."

His ocher eyes opened suddenly. He looked up at the ceiling and tightly closed his eyes.

He reached over to the nightstand to grab his phone. The immediate flash of light told him it was about six in the evening.

He slowly let out a breath as he swung his legs over the side of the bed knowing that his nap was officially ruined.

He lowered his head into his hands, "what does it mean?"

Kagome sat on the shrine steps as she watched her brother and mother make their way down to the station. She had wanted to go, but with the talk with otouto and then thoughts about her father...

She shook her head, 'it's just too much.'

She got off the stony surface. She just needed to go back into the house and make herself some tea. Tea always brought her that calm that alluded her. It was like some weird force. She didn't know how to explain it.

She started to walk towards the shrine. It was getting rather late, and the gates needed to be closed for the evening.

She moved towards the old well house but then stopped.

She felt a heartbeat reverberate over her body.

She clutch her chest as she looked over the shrine grounds trying to determine where the weird presence she felt was located.

The heartbeat washed over her again.

She fell to her knees as she tightly closed her eyes.

"What is this," she asked herself as she fell to the ground.

"Use your powers."

Kagome cracked her eyes open to see a man dressed in black standing before her.

She felt a shiver run down her spine as she looked at the dark figure in front of her.

She had to be hallucinating. She knew there was no one around the shrine. Her mother and brother only left about a minute ago.

"What are you talking about?"

The question seemed odd to ask an apparition, but she wanted this weird pressure that was overcoming her body to stop.

He smiled down at her, though it resembled more of a taunting grin.

"The miko has lost her touch. What a pity," he replied as he lowered into a hunch.

She tightly closed her eyes. None of this was making sense.

"I am not a miko," she told him as another jolt ran over her body.

He let out a sinister chuckle, "the guardian has done an awful job."

Kagome shook her head.

The pressure was building in her body. She felt like she was on fire.

"I am calling your powers forth. It would be such a waste for this world not to witness the Tamash? no satsugai-sha miko."

The darkness was on the recesses of her mind. The pressure was boiling beneath her skin.

She had so many questions to ask this spirit, but she suddenly felt so tired – too tired.

"You must find the code. The answers you desire are in the book," his voice whispered as the blackness took over.

The woman opened her eyes to the dark blue sky.

"You have awakened."

She looked at the man in black. He was giving her a smug smile.

"Are you a seer?"

Her voice sounded weird somehow. New.

He turned his red gaze on her as he bowed, "I have taken it upon myself to awaken you from your slumber."

"This girl," she asked as her hand motioned to her body. "Who is this girl?"

He furrowed his eyebrow, "it is you. It is your reincarnation."

She turned her glowing purple eyes to look at the man before her, "What is this you speak?"

The anger in her tone was evident in the reverberation of the surrounding foliage. The wind picked up as her black hair waved violently along the torrent created by the release of her energy.

"What is the last thing you remember?"

She closed her eyes as she searched her memories. Flashes of gold and silver clouded most of her thoughts, but finally she reached the memory that he was speaking of. A whiplash came over here and landed right in the center of her chest as her mind registered the pain, but then a new feeling overcame here. A new desire crept into her mind and that is when she remembered.

"I was sealed."

The man's red gaze lingered on her a moment as his grin overcame his features, "What is it you desire now, priestess?"

He could see the change in her demeanor. Her amethyst orbs had fixed on a single goal.

Her blazing purple gaze hardened, "The death of the guardians."

Akio unconsciously shook his leg as he looked over at his uncle.

"Have you been having dreams?"

Akio arched his eyebrow, "Dreams?"

Tougaou let out a long sigh. He knew the boy had not. He had hoped that there was a good reason the boy had requested to speak to him alone. He knew there was not many reasons.

"So what is her name?" He asked when he thought of the next best thing. He was young and male. There were not many other things on the mind of an unmated male.

The demons in his pack all had to ask permission to date a human. It was not only about protocol. There were laws at stake as well.

"Higurashi Kagome."

The Inu no Taisho thought he might choke on his tea when the name left his nephews mouth.

He coolly put down his cup of tea and placed his hands together in front of him on the desk, "the young woman from the party?"

He already knew the answer. He had to bide for time.

Akio felt his face redden as he briefly nodded his head, "that is if... InuYasha-senpai has not asked."

Tougaou rolled his eyes as he let out a sarcastic chuckle, "he wouldn't admit anything if it meant proving anyone else right."

Akio slowly nodded his head, "yeah."

He knew the protocols. Kagome smelled more like InuYasha, so it was apparent to any other demon that she belonged to him, so this conversation held more weight then normal.

His uncle leaned more fully unto the desk as his elbows rested against the dark wood. "Do you think she can be trusted?"

It was not the first question he would have asked, but it was one of them.

Akio widened his eyes, before his head fell to stare at the ground, "I think she can be."

Tougaou slowly nodded his head, "as it stands the decision is approved, however, InuYasha must know of this."

Akio felt his hackles rise. He did not believe his cousin mattered one way or another once the choice of the Inu no Taisho was made, so why was his uncle changing the protocol?

Akio was at odds with himself. "Naze ?"

Tougaou looked at his nephew. "Why?" He was slightly confused with what the young man was asking.

Akio looked into his uncle's ocher eyes. He had never felt more against himself then he did at this moment, "Why must he know? What grip does he have over her that makes him eligible to know something that has no factor into his life? Why are you changing protocols for him?"

The Inu no Taisho tightly closed his eyes. He knew Akio would be feeling this way, and why shouldn't he?

"There are factors that you do not know that exist," he told him as he looked over at the Tetsusaiga.

Akio glanced over at the sword, "What does an ancient sword have to do with Kagome-chan and InuYasha-senpai?"

He let out a chuckle. He was always underestimating his nephew. His youngest son and nephew seemed so much alike that forgetting that Akio was far more observant alluded him constantly.

He locked his golden eyes unto his nephew's. "I only want the best to befall you my son," he told him honestly.

Akio hardened his eyes. He was not one to defy, but his uncle was beginning to grate his nerves, "what are you not saying, Ojisan?"

That question cut him to the core. He felt the confusion and the sadness radiate off the young man before him, "There are things –"

Izayoi suddenly came into the study.

He looked over at his mate. He could tell from her scent that she was frantic. No one was allowed to enter a private meeting, so for her to do so, he knew there had to be something amiss.

"What is it?"

Her brown eyes searched over his, before she stated the one idea he had been afraid of for so long, "she is here."

The doors flew off their hinges as his mate ran to his side.

Akio stood in front of them as he tried to be the first line of defense for the master.

A woman with dark flowing hair came into their view. Her angry glowing purple eyes flashed over the red haired man, before they landed on the Inu no Taisho.

Akio could only stand there with his mouth slightly hanging open. He didn't know what to make of the situation in front of him.

She slowly raised her hand as they glowed the deep blue mixed with lavender that Tougaou was so familiar yet unknown with when she flicked her wrist and InuYasha went flying into the study.

Izayoi rushed over to her son. She could see the blood flowing down from his mouth. She looked over his wounds as a hand went to cover the soft cry that escaped her lips.

Tougaou stayed in his spot. He did not need the woman before him to cause any more problems.
"Where is it, demon," the priestess asked him.

He looked into her unseeing violet orbs, "what is it you seek?"

"Do not toy with me, Lord of Dogs. I know you have the book."

He lifted an eyebrow at her, "What book do you speak? I have many."

She clenched her fist as a wind seemingly from nowhere knocked the two standing demons into the wall.

Tougaou quickly rushed to his mates side. He was underestimating the young woman's energy.

'How does she have so much power?'

Akio coughed as the dust from the wall settled around him.

"Give me the code," she ordered when Tougaou turned his predatory gaze unto her.

"What does a mere mortal want with that book? You would not be able to even open it," he told her as he clenched his jaw. His nerves were slowly dwindling. If he did not get this situation under control, he didn't know if he could control his anger if she threatened to hurt his mate.

Slowly, the woman before him held a smug smile on her face, "Who is saying that I am mortal?"

Slowly, his mind registered what she was saying, "then the prophecy. It is true."

She laughed, "your kind have always been slow. Even with thousands of years to make up a contingency plan."

He felt his youkai flare, "I cannot let you have that book."

"Are you going against the plan of your father then, Tougaou," she asked him with a smile. "He gave you strict orders."

Before he could answer, Sesshoumaru came behind her and snarled as he tried to inject this intruder with his poisonous claws.

Tougaou felt his eyes widen.

"Sesshoumaru, don't!" Izayoi screamed.

The priestess closed her eyes as she looked down to the hand protruding through her chest. The glowing green poison dripping from his claws as he slowly retracted his hand.

Akio fell to the ground.

"This bitch will die," Sesshoumaru seethed.

Suddenly, Sesshoumaru fell to the ground covering his ears.

The woman faced him.

Sesshoumaru looked up at the priestess. His mind was reeling from this loud noise and overwhelming pressure. He was not sure if it was all in his head or not.

Suddenly his ocher eyes widened, "Ka-go-me?"

It couldn't be.

A smug smile crossed the woman's features, "so I've heard."

A/N: Birthday Update! You're welcome ;)

So hopefully, people do not feel like I moved this story so far that you are all lost. Over the next few chapters, I am going to bridge the gap from when Kagome lost consciousness until this point, so please bare with me. (There is about a week between the two scenes.) I really do hope you all liked this. I liked it. I can see it moving into the direction I am trying to take this story. There are so many questions and gaps that need to be filled, so I hope I didn't overwhelm you all :)

On another note, just watched Attack on Titan (finished it in one day to be exact) and the anime Free! also called the swimming anime. Definitely loved them both so if anyone is looking for a new anime to watch and has not seen either of those.. go do it NOW! Oh, and before anyone asks... they are only subbed... sorry :(

Attack on Titan is getting 5 stars across the board.. and is BOSS!

Free! is basically fan service. It reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club... but with a more strict follow to the plot line, but like I said both are great! Check them out :)

translator: Tamash? no Satsugai-sha Miko literally means soul slayer priestess

Naze : why

Ojisan: uncle
