Well, here I am with another poem, I don’t know what inspired this, but it’s Sesshoumaru/Kagura. One of my favorite Inuyasha couples. This is my first fanfiction poem type thing based on them.

Scatter the Bones

I love how the glass feels

Dragging, dragging…..

…..across….

Skin.

And I have to think how well, how

Rich red, thick with life

Blood

Can

Be.

And he tells me to laugh.

And I laugh.

And he tells me to lay down,

To let my

Hair….

Fall….

And submit to him like

Dog.

Stinging hot, burning hot, searing hot…..

The pain of knowing, the heat of knowledge.

And my shoes

Come tumbling….

And stiff fingers

Are fumbling….

Rummage around my body

For all your wishes

And all

Of your dreams

Live in me.

And in him.

And in the fantasy.

Give it life.

Give it air.

Make it fly….

…we beg you to….

You take my hand

And you kiss my lips.

I have to wonder….

Is this a trick?

Of the light?

Of the night?

And you promise me everything.

So I believe

And yet I do not believe.

Indecision makes a decision.

I lie.

Like ice buried under the snow.

Like a shadow in the dark.

Like his hand in mine…

….like my hand…

In your hand.

Holding your hand.

Kissing your lips.

And I wish, I wish

This was

Dream.

Years from then,

Days from now….

And I like to swim now.

To dive deep and not come up for air.

The pressure builds

And drives the past away…

…away….away…..

And I haven’t found you yet.

But I see you.

A ghost in every city

And every town

I pass through.

I see you in a crowd

And I see you outside my window.

You look

But you do not

See….

And I watch you, crying

Ancient tears.

Watch as you

Dig and hunt,

And I hear him whisper into the wind.

To me.

To you.

To so many others.

‘Scatter the bones……

So that none…..

Can find me….’

But I hold you close.

To my newfound organ

Called a heart.

I press you to it.

I hope you feel my love for you.

I hope it touches you…
