Kaede called her friend and he said he would be there in about a half hour. Now all they were doing was asking Kaede a bunch of questions.

 

“How does someone like you know a government assassin?” Inuyasha asked looking at the person in front of him. She didn't seem like a person who would get caught up in that kind of junk.

 

“I was one when I was younger.” Kaede said motioning for Miroku to such the door.

 

“You?!” Kagome and Sango asked both equally shocked by what they were hearing.

 

“Yes I was, I was an orphan and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Instead of killing me, like they were supposed to they decided they would train me. The woman didn't want to kill a little girl just because my adoptive mother did something wrong.” Kaede said looking at everyone for the next question.

 

“But why would you give us this kind of job?” Kagome asked standing up. “I mean none of this is really our faults, and Shippo is just a kid.”

 

“I'm doing this because it would be best that you get your revenge this way then be charged with murder.” Kaede said looking at the young girl in front of her. “You already don't exist so it saves them some time, seeing as Inuyasha's half brother has already taken care of that.”

 

“But Shippo is just a kid.” Sango said looking at Kagome who was now leaning against the wall.

 

“I'll be fine.” Shippo said trying to sound brave.

 

“Shippo I don't think you realize what Kaede is handing us into. We're going to be killing people we don't know just because some guy in a suit say's they did something, that doesn't agree with them.” Kagome said ice dripping from every word. “Even after we get our revenge I highly doubt we'll be left alone to have a normal life. Shippo you're just a kit, you're going to grow up, and this is all you're going to know. The rest of us will just have to cope with it, kind of a grin and bare it type deal.” Kagome's voice was so cold no one would have thought it came from Kagome had they not seen her saying all this.

 

“Kagome is right about one thing you will never have a normal life.” Kaede said trying to make it sound less black and white then Kagome had put it even though she was hitting it dead on. “And the people you go after would have done something so bad it couldn't be handled by law.”

 

Kagome laughed coldly looking up at Kaede, “That is such a load of bull. I thought when this government was made, it was made so that everything went by the law, innocent till proven guilty not guilty till proven innocent, but what do I know I'm only a kid. You only now what you're taught right Kaede.” Kagome went back to looking at the ground. “I learned for myself, and it only took a few minutes, some people in this world will kill anything that moves just because they're given a buck, but looked at differently its just like how when a boss says jump, the lackey will ask how high.”

 

Inuyasha looked at Kagome he was ready to growl and bark saying that she had gone insane, but he held his tongue, and glared at Kaede.

 

“I've never heard what we do put in a way that was perfect, but that's hitting the bulls eye wouldn't you say Kaede?” A man with brown hair and blue eyes said. “My name's Kouga nice to see you all.”

 

“I guess you could say that Kouga, but I didn't like to look at it so black and white.” Kaede said looking at Kagome, before she was told about how she was going to handle this, Kagome was such a happy person.

 

“That's what our job is, it's black and white Kaede no matter how much you dress it up. If I could have your names that would be great.” Kouga said looking around the room.

 

“I'm Inuyasha, that's Kagome, Shippo, Sango and Miroku.” Inuyasha said motioning to everyone.

 

“Ok everyone can go outside and to the black van outside and we'll get you to the place you'll be living.” Kouga said motioning his hand out the door. When Kagome walked by after Inuyasha, Kouga grabbed her arm and said, “You'll learn well I can tell.”

 

“I'm not a lap dog I'm not going to roll over for you.” Kagome said snatching her hand back and storming past Inuyasha.

 

Inuyasha looked back at Kouga growling, “I don't know nor care who you're going to be to us, but watch it around Kagome you do anything that doesn't set well with her or me I swear I'll rip your throat out.”

 

“Don't worry all watch my footing.” Kouga said following him.

 

They first took a detour to the head courtiers of where they would be working before going to were each of them would be living.

 

“Kagome are you ok?” Inuyasha asked as the stood in a room waiting for Kouga to come back.

 

“Yeah I'm ok.” Kagome said with a little smile. “It's just not how I thought I would be living the rest of my life.”

 

Inuyasha nodded looking at Shippo playing with Sango and Miroku. “They know what they're doing.”

 

“Sango love's little kids, she always played with her little brother and mine.” Kagome said looking at them.

 

“Miroku just like's little kids, and Sango.” Inuyasha put in as a thought.

 

Kagome nodded and smiled. “They look like a family even though they have their differences.”

 

“Yup.” Inuyasha said looking down at Kagome.

 

“I'm back.” Kouga said as he came inside the room again. “The housing arrangements even though you'll be in the same building it'll be more like who you're sharing your living space with. Inuyasha and Kagome will be in one, and Miroku, Sango, and Shippo in the other. Does anyone not like how that was arranged?”

 

Everyone shook their head saying different variations of “No that fine.”

 

“Also we're going to start your training.” Kouga said looking at each of them. “Kagome, Inuyasha, Sango, and Miroku will train together, and Shippo will train with kids his own age.”

 

“That's good to know.” Kagome said looking over at Shippo.

 

“Yup he'll get to know kids his own age.” Kouga said walking back out of his office. “Come on I'll drive you to where you guy's will be living.
