Ritalin_writer: Hello everyone forgive me for my absence I do hope you've remained faithful while I was away.

DemonGirl-Setsuna: *high off of Mountain Dew and chocolate nuzzles Inuyasha who's tied to a chair*

Inuyasha: Oi! Wretch let me out of here!

Ritalin_writer: I don't want to be the one to get between lovers, besides, its fun to watch. Oh yeah! *grins* I got a nice review saying 1. Why'd I give Kagome Naraku's powers and that I was evil.

Let me clarify. Remember in the scene with Kikyo with the whole mount Hakurai thing? Remember what phrase seemed to keep popping up? Pure becomes impure and impure becomes pure? Well there you go…But there's a twist, demons can't have miko power so where did those go should be the question….

And about me being evil… THANK YOU! COME AGAIN!

~~~~Last time~~~~
“I only know one person that can make that kind of poison.” Inuyasha choked out shielding his face from the miasma.
“Naraku.”
~~~now~~~

Kagome shrieked as she tried to suppress the power that was allowing her to permeate the air with the miasma and finally the torrent of gas ceased from being emitted. However that didn't mean it went anywhere.

The ghastly fumes hovered malevolently, nauseating any that came within distance and Kaede had to back away because the potency of the vapors were eroding her skin.

“Kagome!” Inuyasha called as he clutched the feathers of Miroku's neck, using them as reigns and quite frankly Miroku wasn't too keen on it as he tried to steer where he needed to go instead of where Inuyasha planned to have him fly.

“Inuyasha I've got Naraku's powers! How do I get out of here?” came the shrill cry from within the noxious fumes that continued to rise even though she'd already stopped.

Sango hovered with Shippo on her back, Kirara secured in his arms as he looked worriedly down at the ground he could barely see, making out only a silhouette among the gas. The cat demoness whined slightly looking to Miroku with ruby eyes and as if understanding closed the distance between them extending his wing as a bridge.

“Shippo get on Sango's going to get Kagome for us.” His voice was soothing but it seemed he was trying to assure himself more than the young child. Shippo hesitantly switched mounts walking uneasily over the appendage and grasping the feathers. Kirara pranced over without any sign of apprehension and plopped herself down on Inuyasha's lap who began to absently stroke her backside.

Sango gave a mighty roar before the flames burned brighter as she descended to the ground.

~~~Elsewhere~~~
Eyes fluttered open and a wave of disorientation hit him like a bad cold. However never in his life could he remember ever feeling such a thing but now was the time that he felt all the immunities vanish and allow every virus to infect his being. Groggily he sat up and wavered for a moment.
`When did I sit down?'
His right hand automatically went to his forehead to push back his bangs and a sudden realization hit him.
His stripes were gone.
Sesshoumaru the great Taiyoukai of the west, the successor to InuTaisho was missing his stripes. He felt cumbersome and weary as if from lack of sleep which he usually did not require to go about the night and day. His chest was weighed heavily upon and he groaned as he found the additional weight was from his armor.
But why all of a sudden had it become so unbearably heavy? Carefully untying the laces of his ornaments, Sesshoumaru allowed the armor to fall with a loud clatter on the cavern floor.
Wait. Cavern?
His eyes sought out his surrounding to find he was no longer within the ranges of the forest and was now within the bowels of a cave, the entrance of which was basked in radiant morning light. Strangely enough he could not recall the night before which baffled and irked him to no end.
`I am Sesshoumaru, I do not simply forget an entire night nor do I seek the refuge of a mundane inclination in the earth.'
The second factor that came to mind was that his back was hurting as he ungracefully rose from his position with difficulty. Never had he received back pains from resting on those few odd occasions where he had to.
He was within an unfamiliar place, he could not recall the previous night, his stripes were missing, his armor was too heavy, his back was hurting and now he found that his tail was no longer cloaking his shoulder as it usually did.
A gasp escaped the demon lord who had gone from baffled to bemusement to down right astonishment as he finally reached the conclusion that something was wrong.
His only hand moved up to his hair again and he backed against the wall however he remained upright, even though he had unconsciously gone major alterations he would not succumb to them. He would remain dignified.
But one can only do that for so long when there is an odd overbearing pulsing at their hip that was, as much as he resented to admit, was arousing him. However when his eyes traveled to his hip they widened ever so slightly as an evil purple aura had surrounded Tokijin.
A massive force began to impose on his mind, clawing at the fortified walls that he'd erected to keep out such malevolent intruders. However this one was not relenting as some did and its insidious whispers of power and domination were beginning to sound enticing. The small revelation that it was Tokijin trying to possess him hit him too late as he instinctively moved to discard the item that was trying to control him but in doing so grasping the hilt of the sword…
There was a sickening laugh and he saw a red haze floating over his vision, consuming him in a thick sheet, drenched with crimson he felt as if another entity invaded his body and had turned him into its vessel. The last image that came to mind were his two charges that he had silently sworn to protect, even if he would not verbally admit it.
However how could he protect them when their enemy might be himself?
~~~Elsewhere~~~

Rin leapt with the nimbleness of a cat, bounding through the plains without being hindered by gravity itself. Her hair seemed to have a new sheen to it and her eyes were bright amber colored slits instead of the charming brown. She had two magenta colored stripes on either cheek and each wrist.

Behind her a fluffy black tail floated while she ran, waving like a black banner and showing off. Her hair fell away from her forehead while she ran, revealing the blue crescent moon on her forehead as she skirted through the field. In each hand was a silver fish that glistened in the mid morning sun.

“Isn't this great Jaken-sama?” she said but the green toad demon was no where in sight, instead her reply was a deep croak from within her kimono.

Poking its head out from the folds was a green toad, bright yellow eyes looking with a pitiful amount of remorse and anger towards either the child or the situation it was in.

“You might not like it Jaken-sama but I think it's great that I can be Sesshoumaru-sama for a-”

The cheerful girl stopped; bring herself to a halt as someone stood within her path. A man with bright red hair and beady black eyes stared at her bearing a katana at her.

“Human child, why have I become a human when I was not the night before?” he hissed and Rin drew back a moment uncertain.

“I do not know sir but I think you should leave now.” Rin said and there was a slight confidence to her tone.

The man's bushy brows twitched and he snarled at the small youkai child. “I have become a mere human but my spirit is still demon!” he made an attempt to lunge forward and his battle cry came in a gurgling scream as a bright light flashed behind and split him from his left shoulder all the way to his stomach. A spray of blood rose from the wound and coated the one who slew him as well as the green grass.

“I tried to warn him Lord Sesshoumaru but he wouldn't listen.” Rin said as she looked at a black haired man coated with blood, however with her newfound demonic powers she found her sense heightened and she sensed evil.

Toad Jaken croaked and buried again in the folds of her kimono as Sesshoumaru advanced with a murderous growl erupting from him now human mouth. His eyes were blood red and though he was no longer demon he was still a menacing figure to behold.

Rin was uncertain and didn't budge. She loved Lord Sesshoumaru; she loved him enough that she wouldn't harm a hair on his head. She'd carried him when he'd suddenly become a human and her as a demon and Jaken a less than princely toad.

But her natural instincts were telling her and insisting that something was wrong and if she valued her life she'd move. The aura around Sesshoumaru made her skin crawl as if tiny bugs had gotten under her skin and were tickling her from the inside. Her stomach clenched like it did when she ate too many fish.

“Sesshoumaru are you-” There was no time to finish her sentence as she stared into the bowls of a possessed man and he made a swipe for her that made it evident she was no longer in her safe zone.

She ducked in time but the air just above her was riddled with demonic energy from Tokijin and she felt something ripped from her head cleanly in the process. She watched in astonishment as her ponytail fell to the ground and sizzled from Tokijin's blade.

“Ah-Un! Help!” Rin yelled as she dropped the fish and ran with every ounce of speed she could. From above the serpent appeared, two heads peering above a cloud.

However two bodies followed each head. The dragon must have also been mildly affected by the lights and instead of either becoming a two headed lizard it split apart and became two dragons. One was female which was Ah and the other was male which was Un.

The two dragons swooped down and Rin leapt masterfully, as if she had been doing so all her life and managed to perch herself on Un's backside.

Ah pulled away as the Tokijin came very close to her breast plate and ascended staring at her former master that had now become a deranged human.

“Die…” he growled as he made a futile leap for both dragons and missing pitifully. Rin looked down at the black haired man her eyes uncertain as she tried to figure out what to do with her new dilemma. She couldn't leave lord Sesshoumaru here by himself. He could be eaten by demons, or worse he would eat the demons!

Her indecisiveness was picked up on by Ah and Un who masterfully ascended to a safe distance but kept the deranged human within their site each in turn snorting and growling their own opinions as if the young girl could understand.

Rin looked down at the ground below a second time to see her former master trudging towards the forest and with that realization that others would be hurt because of her cowardice she dropped down to the ground ignoring gravity in the process.

Jaken however had second thoughts and leapt from her kimono onto Un. Hell when you're less than an inch tall with opposable thumbs you tend to lose your heroic streak very quickly.

Rin spiraled to the ground having forgotten how high up she was she shrieked at the height. Thankfully memory tore through her fright and she recalled how Sesshoumaru had positioned himself.

She made a weak imitation a few seconds before she hit the ground in a less then graceful crouch. On her hands and knees of course.

As she opened her eyes she saw a shadow slowly looming over her and instinct that had lain dormant for some time was suddenly active.

“Forgive me Sesshoumaru-sama!” she pleaded.

With blinding speed she leapt forward on all fours. Her head connecting with Sesshoumaru's gut before rebounding and landing on the ground again.

Sesshoumaru doubled over, without his demonic immunities being winded was a fairly simple task to accomplish. However his grasp on the sword never faltered and he used it as a stand to brace him from falling.

“You…Shall…Die…” he sneered, eyes flashing as he too charged, Rin completely unprepared for the attack was flung backwards as a solid kick connected with her side.

Rin released a yelp, toppling at least a yard away before landing roughly on the ground on her stomach. Tears formed at the corner of her eyes as she attempted to supply her lungs with the oxygen it needed desperately. However Sesshoumaru was on her in a moment and the sword was coming down in a downward motion.

Everything beyond that was a blur, Rin rolled out of the way a split second before the blade could touch her. Again the demonic rage of the sword made her fur stand on end and she countered by jumping up, her hand flexing almost mechanically as unconsciously began to grow and glow an ominous acidic green.

She leapt forward, Sesshoumaru having recovered the miss brought the sword into a slicing motion which with her accelerated speed was easily evaded as her hand thrust towards his abdomen.

Tokijin was flung to the side as thunder clapped overhead startling the girl into reality.

Her primal streak deteriorated as blood squirted from the wound she had created. Her hand was embedded in his stomach and she immediately recoiled staring in horror and disbelief.

The acidic green vapor had dissipated and now left her hand blood stained and tainted.

“Lord Sesshoumaru…”

She murmured as the said being fell to the ground in a heap, the clouds graying and raining pouring upon the land.

Tokijin embedded in the grass.
