Chapter 5

“Mamon…” Shoten mumbled into Chiza's skirt when he reached her signaling her to pick him up. Shoten didn't say much due to his limited vocabulary and he did not babble like other one-year-olds Chiza had a strong suspicion that it was because he was related to Sesshoumaru but then she usually thought of Inuyasha and that suspicion flew right out the window along with her theories of video games being secret training methods for government terrorists cells and Wac'Donald putting chemicals in the breakfast that made you crave it just to cruelly have a time limit on it so the craving grows over night until the cravings become so unbearable you wake up at the ungodly hour of 5:00 a.m. just to get some breakfast; which happened often during her pregnancy with Shoten. Lisa was standing next to Jiro with an unusual look on her face. Worry? Jiro must have told her who I just ran into…I don't really understand why Jiro has any animosity toward Inuyasha...

 

^Whats up? ^ Chiza mouthed toward Lisa

 

^Nothing. ^

 

^You sure? ^

 

“Hey isn't it getting close to dinner time? Whatcha treating me to today sis? Italian? American? Oh I know Chinese?!” Jiro asked excitedly.

 

“Not today I gotta get ready for work.”

 

“Work again?! Why not ask dad for some money or better yet move back in with us.”

 

“Ha! As if rich-boy where would I be if I let you take the only person in our apartment that cooks and cleans.” Lisa interjected.

 

“Well you could always move in with her.” Jiro joked at Lisa.

 

“To bad so sad. I DON'T do hand outs.” Lisa replied as she stuck out her tongue.

 

“Right,” Jiro drawled out sarcastically then looked at Chiza “and you're excuse is?”

 

“I've told you before I can't live off dad or you, like some parasite. I need to be responsible and take care off myself and Shoten with out help like an adult.”

“Inuyasha! Quit putting things in the cart this is for Souta's birthday party tommarow, remember?”

 

“Oh yeah whens the twerps party again?”

 

“Next wensday and try to be there on time your Souta's hero after all--“

 

“*snort* Inuyasha a kids hero—hehe”

 

That voice it sounds like Chiza but it can't be-

 

Sure enough Chiza was there leaning against an aisle with the goofiest grin Kagome had seen to date. She still felt abit of apprehension when it came to Chiza even though Inuyasha assured her that he and Chiza did not and will never have a romantic or sexual relationship of any kind what-so-ever. He still wouldn't tell her about their previous relationship and why Jiro was so hostile towards him.

 

“Yeah yeah laugh it up while you can-“

 

“Oh I will.”

 

“So why the hell are you in this hellhole anyways?”

 

“I live in the neighborhood.”

 

“Bullshit!”

 

“Its true I live in the apartment complex down the street-SHOTEN IF YOU TAKE ANOTHER STEP I'M GONNA BUST YOUR BUTT!”

 

“huh?” Inuyasha and Kagome's replied while looking at her like she fell of her rocker.

After Chiza rather unusual outburst she covered her mouth and looked like she just let out a big secret. Followed by Inuyasha and Kagome looking in the direction of this `Shoten' …

 

“WHAT THE FUCK!?! CHIZA IS THAT WHAT I THINK IT IS?!?!!?”

 

“Calm down Inuyasha--”

 

“WELL IS HE?”

 

“INUYASHA SHUT UP AND LET HER EXPLAIN!” Kagome was always the voice of reason.

 

(A/N: Kagome finally entered the conversation)

 

“Yes It is what you think if you think its his kid- which you shouldn't be so surprised I mean you did walk in on us a couple of times- anyways could you not tell him I'll explain everything tommarow I promise or even after we finish shopping you could come with me to my apartment.”

 

“You better…”

 

*~*~*~*~Chiza P.O.V *~*~*~*

 

After they finished shopping they went to Chiza's apartment to hear her out; after Chiza got Shoten in his play corner and Kagome started playing withhim when Chiza turned to Inuyasha and Kagome.

 

“Alright one question at a time Inuyasha you can start now.”

 

“How?”

 

“Condoms don't always work.” Chiza shrugged as she replied.

 

“When did you first find out?”

 

“Remember when I passed out at school-“ “Oh Yeah” “-the night before.”

 

“Why didn't you tell him?”

 

“Well he was with someone else at the time and after I had Shoten I figured if a male in his prime suddenly had a family sprung on him he would resent them I didn't want Shoten to go through that so my family and I kept it under wraps. Any other questions?”

 

“Yeah why are you living in this shit hole? Did your dad disown you?”

 

“For the first three month or so yes then he got over it and brought me back and I living here because I want to be independent and this is the best I can afford with my jobs. Now are you going to keep it quite from Sesshoumaru for me?”

 

“For now I guess but your gonna have to tell him some time ya understand?”

 

“Fine. Now do you wanna meet your nephew.”

“Are you alright milord your not coming down with something are you?”

 

“Hm.”
