very confusing chappy here… hope you like it though….oh and don't worry this isn't over by the least bit…. Miroku and Sango will be coming in soon, plus Kouga and Shippou…basically the whole gang…all the bad guys too…

The song from the last chapter was a beautiful song written by Amy Lee. She is the lead singer of the band Evanescence and that song was not on her Fallen CD or Origin CD. Sorry!

Chapter five: Dreams of You

Today was the day Inuyasha was going to break the news to Kikyou. They couldn't be together anymore. He had fallen in love with someone else…

As he sat across from Kikyou in the small café where Kagome had introduced them, he started slowly, "Kikyou. I love you, but… not as much as I do someone else."

Thank the gods that there wasn't but one other person there or this would have caused huge scene… Kikyou burst into tears saying how she knew he would do this to her and that he would regret it. She stormed out, a weird black cloud following her…nobody else seemed to notice it but him.

Inuyasha sighed in relief. He was single again and it felt good.

He took his cell phone out of his coat pocket and dialed Kagome's number. The instant he heard her exquisite voice a smile appeared on his lips.

"Hello?"

"Kagome… I need to talk to you."

"About what?" Her unsteady tone told him she was dreadfully nervous.

"I want to say it to your face… how about you come over to the house and we can have dinner before I tell you."

"Dinner?"

"Please Kagome... I would really like to see you tonight. I miss seeing and talking to you everyday…. I thought this could make up for it…"

"Well… okay… are we ordering pizza or are we having a nice dinner…"

"My chef is cooking for us… I hope that's okay…."

"It's great… I'll come over at 5…" Kagome said quietly into the phone nervous about all this.

"See you then, Kagome."

As soon as he pressed end on the phone Kagome closed her eyes. This wasn't happening, she said to herself, he was inviting her over for a dinner… maybe he had finally realized her love for him? Maybe.

She placed the phone back on the hook and went to her closet to find something to wear. Kagome squealed when she found she could go shopping. She wanted something special anyways…for him. The young girl walked down the steps slowly, preparing herself to ask her mother for shopping money. She didn't want to use the 500k check yet. She hoped her mother would understand.

Thankfully, Kagome found her mother watching the television and grinned. That meant her mother must be in a good mood, which meant better luck for her getting the appropriate amount of money to buy a good dress.

With an innocent voice, Kagome said, "Mom… can I have some money to go shopping for a dress for tonight."

Her mother raised an eyebrow at her, "And what is happening tonight, Kagome?"

A red tint hit her cheeks as she whispered, "I am going over to Inuyasha's for dinner… I want to look nice."

Kagome's mother nodded and pointed towards her purse. "Take my gold card, honey. There is a limit of 55,000 yen (about $500-600) on there so be careful.

Kagome grinned at her mother, "Thank you so much mom. You're the best."

Her mom just smiled and nodded, "I've heard."

Kagome looked at the clock and saw she had 3 hours till she had to be on his doorstep.

"I should be off then, thanks again mom." With a wave, Kagome was gone.

Sadly, Kagome never made it home to get ready for the `date'. On her way home from the mall around 3pm, a man grabbed hold of her arm and pulled her into a small alley. She screamed, but people only stared and walked by. She was pushed to the ground and beaten then…unfortunately….had her virginity taken away.

She stayed alone in the alley in the fetal position, since he had taken all her clothes even her dress…

All she thought of was if Inuyasha was mad at her for standing him up.

Kagome clung to the warm body that picked her up. Who it was, she didn't care, she felt safe and that's all that mattered to her at the moment.

A police officer that worked the area found her as he made his rounds. He placed her in the back seat of the police vehicle with a large blanket surrounding her. The whole way to the hospital he questioned her about the rapist and tried to give her comforting words. She wouldn't say anything expect for, "He won't ever love me now…" The officer finally got the deranged woman to the hospital to be checked out for any injuries.

The hospital called her home and got her mother who said she would be there as fast as she could.

Amazingly, for a 15 minute drive, they made it there in 5 minutes, Inuyasha driving.

When he got to her room his breath caught in his throat. She had bandages all over her body and was crying out. The nurse who seemed to be stitching her up was having trouble-controlling Kagome. Inuyasha growled low at the lady, frightening the nurse.

"Get out!" He shouted at her.

"Sir, I am going to have to ask you to leave if you do not stay quiet." The lady said standing and placing her hand on his shoulder to lead him out.

"Take your filthy hand off me this instant or I will."

The woman stepped back her eyebrows scrunching together.

"Sir… please leave."

"You leave now, or I will place Kagome in private care! I do not need this right now!"

"Yes sir." She nodded leaving quickly.

Kagome's eyes were full of tears and her eyes were swollen as she stared up at Inuyasha.

"I'm so sorry Inuyasha. I should've taken a cab..or the subway or something… I'm sorry…"

Inuyasha bent down and took her hand in his, "It is alright Kag, Don't blame yourself…this is nobody's fault except for the man who did this to you."

A new stream of tears rolled down her cheeks as she choked out, "What…what if I'm pregnant?"

"Well, I don't think you will want to have it so you can get an abortion…"

This caused her to cry even harder as she pulled him towards her for a hug. As they separated she whispered, looking away, "What did you want to tell me before?"

"I broke up with Kikyou this morning… It wasn't working out between us…"

"Oh.." Kagome said closing her eyes.

Inside, Kagome was hurting. This was all her fault. Kikyou probably hated her now… she had been raped and that was her fault too. If she had fought back she wouldn't have been in the hospital. Kagome pulled her small, fragile hand from his and turned away.

"I love you Inuyasha… I just want you to know that…"

"Well good, because I love you too."

With that said they shared a passionate kiss.

Kagome groaned when she heard someone whispering her name. Her chocolate eyes slowly opened to meet solid gold. His eyes were so soft and angelic as he brushed back her hair.

"Gods Kag, you scared me…" He sat up straight on her bed and smiled uneasily.

"My mother called me about an hour ago saying how you were still asleep and it looked like you were going to miss our well…..date…"

In a blink of her eyes he was at her side brushing her hair with his fingers from her face.

"What happened?" She mumbled stretching her limbs.

"You passed out when we were watching television…so I brought you up into my bedroom so you could sleep…" Inuyasha said.

"Ugh… I had one dream slash nightmare… it was weird…" She saw the look on his face and shook her head, "No I don't want to talk about it."

He just shrugged and kissed her on the forehead. "Well I'm glad you're finally awake, though you did look like an angel sleeping…"

Kagome blushed and sat up. "What did you want to tell me…cause I don't remember you telling me anything before…"

He sat up after her and smirked, placing his hand carefully behind her head as he leaned in to kiss her.

She pushed him away, falling off the bed herself.

"What are you doing?!!" She screamed at him.

"Kissing you!" Inuyasha defended.

"But…But you're dating Kikyou and she's my friend so I can't do that!"

"That's one of the things I wanted to say to your face… I broke up with her this morning. We were having some problems and was way too fussy for me…"

Kagome narrowed her eyes in suspicion. "You still don't have the right to kiss me without asking me… I mean we are best friends… I don't want to ruin it…"

"What about your song?" He asked with a scary tone.

"What about it?" She asked wearily.

"I heard all the lyrics. Don't play stupid with me."

"Gods Inuyasha! Don't do this to me! Please!" She shouted heading for the door.

In a split second his hand reached out and grabbed her wrist. His black hair shaded his eyes and it created a scary illusion.

Then suddenly he pulled her to him and pressed his lips to hers. She couldn't deny something she wanted so badly so she gave into him.

As their tongues connected for the first time her tongue hit something sharp in his mouth. She jumped slightly, but continued the kiss, sending away the thought.

His hands slowly caressed her body over the black shirt she seemed to have put on along with a short, lacy black skirt.

Kagome knew where this would lead and stopped him.

"Wait… hold on… I can't do this… I don't remember very much right now and I would rather just lie down. My head hurts… and I…I don't want to do that yet either.…is that okay?"

He nodded and kissed her on the cheek.

"Then let's just get some sleep."

"In the same bed? Can I trust you?"

"Of course." He had a weird smile on his face, as if satisfied.

A few minutes later as the lay in bed together his arms around her waist, she said goodnight and he said it back, though both of them didn't even close their eyes.

"Inuyasha, I know this sounds a bit corny, but when ever I'm around you I feel like I'm so perfect and complete. Every time you were with Kikyou, I felt like my heart was torn into tiny pieces and I couldn't put it back together. I'm sorry I never told you I felt this way about you. I think I was just nervous and scared that you would reject me…I'm sorry.."

By the end of that she was in tears and could barely speak right. It was astonishing that he could even understand her.

"It's oka-"

"No…. it's not, Inuyasha… Do you even know how much you mean to me? You really are all that I live for. I wished I could say something more helpful for you to understand this…" Kagome looked up as if she had an idea.

"I wrote a song about it… well… it's not too long… I have to write some more.. Kami Inuyasha…. I have written so many songs for you…" Kagome scooted closer to him hiding her face in his chest.

"I'd like to hear them."

"I don't think I could play them for you."

"Why not?"

"They are really personal. It was hard enough just to play that song at the talent show… it was even harder when I saw you there…"

Then suddenly she whispered something, closing her eyes.

"Do you love me?"

Silence.

MWUHAHAHAHAHAHA much more to come. I bet you guys and gals thought she really was raped. I wouldn't do that to her!!…*cough* yet *cough* lemon is coming up soon!! (obviously). XD okay. This was a really long chapter so you better review grrrrr just kidding… review if you want. I will still write the next chapter since this is sooooooooo much fun to write ^_^ Hmm… what else? Oh yeah. Kouga might be coming in next chapter… I think Inuyasha needs some competition before he really gets Kagome. Kikyou will be in almost every chapter. Sorry!! I am trying to keep the appearances of the characters limited but it's fun to have twists and turns.
