Chapter IV



Love Can Kill





"I'm very very sorry." InuYasha said will sorrowful eyes.

"For what you're a perfect gentlemen."

InuYasha closed his eyes and pulled out his dagger and threw it sending it straight to her head. InuYasha heard screaming and crying from the little girl as he opened his eyes watching the daughter pool at her dead mother's feet. InuYasha felt a sting in his heart as he saw her.

"I'm sorry little girl. I'm sorry."



Then InuYasha woke up in a cold sweat panting hard. "Shit."

He arose from the bed and walked into his bathroom. He looked in the mirror.

"I'm sorry." He turned on the faucet and splashed some water on his face while taking in a big breath. "What's gonna happen now?''

Then he heard a knock at the door. "Oh, great who could it be." InuYasha said walking out the bathroom and proceeding to the door. The he pasued and stopped.

Maybe, it's Kagome!

He thought as he quickened his pace to the door. He opened it up finding his brother standing tall and sturdy before him.

"What the hell are you doing here, Sesshomaru?"

InuYasha said confused and disappointed. He was confused because his brother barely comes to his apartment. They always met at the hospital. He was disappointed because he was kinda hoping it was Kagome at the door.

"Little brother, we have to talk."

InuYasha was a little disturbed by Sesshomaru's tone so he changed his own.

"Sure. Come in." InuYasha let his older brother into the apartment expecting what was to happen.








Meanwhile Kagome was curled up in the corner of the couch with a cup a coffee staring into it watching her steamy reflection in it. "I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have lashed out on Yash. He was just asking a simple question out of concern, but what he didn't know was that it wasn't a simple question."

She sighed and rested her chin on her knee. What Yash said made all of her horrible childhood memories come back and haunt her. She knew more than ever that she was destined to kill her father. She simply had to after what he did. He raped her at the tender age of nine and he killed her mother, but being the dirty coward he was he sent someone else to do it. She knew he was the mastermind of it all.

"I guess that's where I get my intellegence from, but I definetly get my heart from my mother because I know damn well I didn't get it from my coldhearted father." She glanced at the clock finding it to be 8:00am.

"Mmm Sango should be here by now."


Just then Sango came storming in, like it was her cue in a play, and threw her keys and purse furiously at the floor.

"Um...good morning?"

Kagome said afraid that she might go off on her.

"Good morning, Kag." Sango said collasping on the couch next to Kagome letting out a tired sigh.

"Are you....okay?'' Kagome again hesitated to get it out afraid of what she might do.

"Remeber miss perfect, miss beautiful well she is a total bitch with a capital "B". Do you believe that she saw me staring at another woman than jumped on the poor girl, having us getting kicked out of the restaurant in the middle of nowhere. She is a grade A nut job if you ask me. I don't know why I even put up with dating anymore."

"Don't say that. I'm sure there is a woman out there that is just perfect for you." Kagome said rubbing Sango's shoulder.

"Yeah. I was dumb enough to let her go. I'll be in my room." Sango jumped up and proceeded into her bedroom.

Kagome stared after Sango wondering who she was talking about. "Maybe it was that woman that came over that day."

Kagome was feeling nosy and decided to go check on Sango. She waited a couple minutes before getting up off the couch and sneaking into her room. Kagome creaked the door open silently finding Sango crying holding a picture of her and Kagura. Kagome stood there shocked seeing the usually strong and carefree woman cry over a ex-flame like a lovesick high school teenager. Sango heard the door creak more and quickly turned around to find Kagome staring at her with worry filled eyes. Sango wiped her puffy red eyes.

"Um....I'm just..um." Sango stuttered as she used her hands trying to clear her eyes.

Kagome walked over to her and laid a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay. I know you miss her."

Sango began to sob into Kagome's shoulders. "Oh, Kagome! I do miss her. I miss her. What am I to do? I'm so worthless."

Kagome raised Sango's head up off her shoulder and looked deep into her crimson eyes. "Now don't go blaming yourself for what she did. You're just gonna have to get over her."

"But...I...I can't."

"Yes you can. I know you can. You're a strong woman, Sango. I know you can get through this."

Sango wiped away her tears and smiled. "That's really sweet of you to say that. Now I know I can get over, Kagura."

"That's great, Sango. I really think that....."

Then Sango claimed Kagome's lips in a kiss. She laid her on the bed now attacking her neck with kisses. Kagome moaned and threw her head against the pillow.

"Sango. I...I...don't think...this." Kagome panted flooded by the pleasure that Sango was giving her.

"Help me get over her, Kagome. Please." Sango said whispering into her ear then started to suckle it making Kagome squeal.

Sango lifted up Kagome's pajama top revealing her milky pert breast. She marveled at them before diving taking one in her mouth suckling on it. Kagome moaned and threw her head back.

"Sango." Kagome panted out being overwhelmed by the passion.

Sango reached over and started to massage the neglected breast as she took her other hand and reached down in Kaogme's pajama shorts and began to finger her.

"Sango!!" Kagome screamed out as she let the woman do what she wanted to her.






Meanwhile Sesshomaru and InuYasha were sitting quietly at the kitchen table. "So...you know this for sure." InuYasha said breaking the silence.

Sesshomaru nodded.

InuYasha sighed and looked the other way. "I don't believe it. So, Naraku is trying to screw Mr. Higurashi over, huh?"

"Affirmative. He has crooked dealers and he was planning to kill Mr. Higurashi."

"I would like to ask you, how did you get that information."

"I'm glad you mentioned that." Sesshomaru dug into his pocket and pulled out a letter and handed it to his little brother.

InuYasha looked at the letter and read it. "Mmm. Who would sent you this?"

Sesshomaru shrugged his shoulders. "Well, I usually wouldn't give a fuck about a drug lord being killed but in this situation you may be in trouble." InuYasha waved his hand.

"I won't get trouble. I'm too damn strong for some slimy bastard like Naraku to get me."

"You always say that but remember what happened last time. I would hate for you and me to go through that again."

InuYash suddenly got angry and raised his voice "You didn't go through anything compared to what I had to go through."

"I was the one who lost my legal repitation for getting you out of trouble."

"Get out!" InuYasha yelled.

"I'm...I'm sorry, brother."

"Get the fuck out!" InuYasha yelled pointing to the door.

Sesshomaru nodded and left out of the apartment not saying another word. InuYasha sighed deeply then looked down to his claws and hated them. He hated the look of them, what they were capable of and what they have done. A small tear fell upon his opened palmed hand.

"What am I?"




*FLASHBACK*



InuYasha walked into a dim office looking about it until his eyes set on a beauty; his beauty. The pale looking lady swung her long hair where it cascaded down her shoulder like ebony silk.

"Did you kill him?''

InuYasha walked behind her desk and lunged over her. "Yeah, just like you asked of me?''

She went into her drawer and pulled out a gray suitcase full of money.
"Here. Enjoy."

InuYasha motioned it away. "I don't want your money, Kikyo."

"Then what do you want."

"You." Kikyo's eye's widened and she shook her head.

"This is clearly not....."

Then InuYasha claimed her soft lips as his own. Kikyo quickly broke the kiss and slapped him clear across the face.

"What is the meaning of this, Mr. Taisho?!"

"I....I....don't know. I've never felt this way before. I think I'm in love with you." His amber eyes softened and melted into her chocolate ones.

"I don't know how to respond to such an act."

"Say you love me, too."

Kikyo smiled warmly as she placed her hand upon his face. "I've never had anyone love me before. I don't know if I can say such a thing to you, but I do care for you InuYasha more than I've ever cared for another man."

InuYasha inhaled deep getting lost into her softness. "I need you, Kikyo."

He looked down at the buttons on her blouse. He reached out for the brass buttons then stopped and looked into her eyes for approval. She smiled and nodded giving him permission to claim her as his. InuYasha then began to unbutton her blouse and threw it off her shoulders sending it flying across the room. He looked at her breasts that were comfortably placed in a black bra. InuYasha lifted Kikyo up and spread her across the desk. He marveled at her before attacking her neck, nibbling and kissing it. Kikyo moaned and threw her head over the edge of the desk sending her hair to flow down the side.

"I want to claim you, Kikyo. I want you to be mine."

"Claim me, InuYasha!" Kikyo screamed out to him.

He licked her earlobe before whispering ever so gently in it. "It might hurt a little bit."

"I'm ready." Kikyo said panting with excitement as her chest rose and fell rapidly.

InuYasha licked a small spot on her neck. "Brace yourself."

His flashed his fangs as he bit into her neck. He felt her hands grasp on to her shoulders. InuYasha stayed in that position for a while until he started to feel wosy.

What the hell is going on? InuYasha eyes started to daze over until it was nothing but dark.

Then his eyes turned red. He licked the blood that stained his fangs and savored the flavor in his mouth.

"InuYasha are you...okay?'' Kikyo asked worriedly.

"I'm fine. Just fine." He said in a lower, more demonic tone.

"InuYasha? Is that...you?'' Kikyo asked a little more scared.

InuYasha started to chuckle deeply. He looked at the blood trickle down her neck then dived into neck biting deep into it. Kikyo screamed as she tightened her grip on his shoulders. InuYasha pulled away with a chunk of her neck in his mouth, greedily chewing at it. Kikyo started to breathe raggedly trying to find air but couldn't

"W..ww..why?'' Was all Kikyo could strain out as she felt her life fade away.

InuYasha looked down at her then he snapped back to his normal self. His eyes turned it's natural amber color. His eyes filled with tears as he looked at the mass of blood splattered all over his love.

"Kikyo? Kikyo? Kikyo?!" He began to shake her even though he knew it was hopeless.

"What have I done! What have I done!" He yelled as he looked at his blood covered claws.




Later on InuYasha awoke as the sun shone brightly through his window. He groaned and arose seeing a dark shadow sitting at the edge of his bed. InuYasha shot up and found that it was Sesshomaru.

"Why...why are you here?"

"I'm here because of this!!"

He raised a newspaper with a mangled Kikyo on the front cover. InuYasha eyes widened as he snatched the newspaper from his brother.

"W...what...what happened." He said as his eyes started to water.

"What happened? You happened."

InuYasha shook his head in disbelief. "That's impossible. You lie!"

"I'm afraid not. I smelled her blood as soon as I walked in here."

Then flashbacks from last night flickered through InuYasha mind. He dropped the newspaper then looked at his claws.

"What have you done?! What have you done?!"

InuYasha yelled at his claws as if it was they're fault.

"What am I, Sesshomaru? How could this have happened."

Sesshomaru looked away for a minute then took a in a huge breath.

"I...I don't know, but I do know that the police are hot on your trail."

"What?! I can't go to jail!! You have to help me, Sesshomaru. You're a lawyer you know about his stuff."

The older brother nodded solemnly. "I'll see what I can do."



*PRESENT*






Late r on that evening Kagome woke up only to be next to Sango's side. Kagome smiled and kissed her on the forehead. Then there was a knock at the door. She yawned then arose from the bed wrapping a sheet around her body almost tripping over it as she exited.

"Who is it?!" Kagome yelled but no one answered only constent knocking.

Kagome opened the door only finding InuYasha standing there.

"Um....hey." Was all InuYasha could say at the time as he saw Kagome in nothing but a dark red linen sheet covering her.

"I just came...to say....that..you know...that I was sorry or whatever."

Kagome smiled warmly to him. "I guess I'm sorry for yelling at you and storming out like I did."

InuYasha looked down to his feet as he dug his hands deep in his pockets. "Um...well I...I was wondering maybe you can go get dressed and we can...um...go out or something."

"Like a date!"

Yes was about to escape InuYasha lips but then Sango's voice came from the back.

"Kagome?! Is someone at the door?!"

Then Sango walked out to the living room also ,wrapped in red linen, finding InuYasha at the door. She somehow felt a sting of jealously shoot through her heart.

"Hey, Sango. You know..um....um....."

"InuYasha." He answered for her.

"Yeah um...InuYasha. He lives across the street." Kagome felt her mouth suddenly getting dry.

"Yes, I've seen you before. Hey, InuYasha."

Sango smiled as she walked over to Kagome and wrapped her arms around Kagome kissing and snuggling in her neck.

"Why don't you come back to bed." Sango said as she nipped at Kagome neck.

InuYasha blushed hard and tugged at his collar. "Well, I guess I'll come by tommorrow since you're so busy right now."

He quickly walked down the hall then dissappeared around the corner. "InuYasha! Wait!" She sighed and shut the door.

"Why'd you go and do that for."

"What do you mean." Sango said still attached to Kagome neck.

"Scare him away like that."

Sango unwrapped Kagome of her red linen the began to massage her plump breast. "Because I'm not done with you yet."






Meanwhile InuYasha was walking down the street with his hands still dug in his pocket. "I wasn't expecting her to be the gay type, but I guess she can do whatever she wants. I better get my mind off this girl and go warn Mr. Higurashi of Naraku's plan."

InuYasha began to pick up his pace down the boulevard until he reached Mr. Higurashi's office. InuYasha barged in as he usually did.

"Mr. Taisho! What...what the hell are you doing here. I haven't called you, but since you're here you might as well do a job for me."

"I need to talk to you."

InuYasha said sitting down in a chair across from the his drug lord boss. Mr. Higurashi leaned back into his chair.

"Go ahead"

"I will like to talk to you about Naraku."

Mr. Higurashi grinned. "And what would that be about."

"He's trying to set you up."

"Mmm. Are you caring about me, Mr.Taisho? That's not one of your best attributes."

InuYasha groaned. "No, it's nothing like that. It's just that if you get knocked off than I can't get my money."

Mr. Higurashi chuckled. "Now that's the guy I know and besides I already know about Naraku's tricks, but thanks for the concern."

InuYasha stared dumbfounded at his boss. "But...but...how'd you know."

"Well, I'm not as dumb as I look, Mr. Taisho. I bribed that sweet little young woman, Kagura."

InuYasha scoffed at the word "sweet" before letting his boss continue.

"She is now one of my hitmen or should I say hitwoman. She offered to kill Naraku and his dealers but now that you're here it seems like a perfect opportunity for you to get more acquainted with you're new partner in crime. Now leave and go kill that bastard." With that Mr. Higurashi swung around in his big dark green staring out at his window as the rain raced down on it.

"But Mr. Higurashi......"

"Leave!!" He yelled then he heard the door being shut by his, oh so, faithful worker. "Who does Naraku think he is?! You fuck me over and I'll do the same."







Later on Kagome was laying on the couch next to Sango then the phone rang. She groaned as she answered it. "Hello."

"Kagome? It's me, Miroku. I was wondering if maybe you can come down to the Odyssey tonight."

Kagome looked over to Sango. "Well, I might be kind of busy tonight." Sango perked up as she got a whiff of her conversation. "Who are you talking to?" she asked.

"It's my friend Miroku and he wants me to go out with him to a club."

"That's the gay one, right." She whispered.

"Do you have to be so damn blunt about it?"

Then Kagome heard Miroku's rambling from the other end. "Is that your roommate? She could come if she wanted to."

Kagome closed her hand over the phone then turned to Sango. "He offered you to go. You want to?"

Sango cheered up she was always ready to get rowdy at a club. "Of course! Oh, god what should I wear?!" She jumped up from the couch and hurried to the back.

Kagome turned back to the phone. "She says she wants to go."

"That's great then. I'll see you there. Bye, Kag."

"Okay, bye." Kagome hung up the phone.

She laid back into the couch and couldn't help but think about this morning and this evening. Was she really starting to like Sango in the type of way that she liked InuYasha. She shook her head but then her eyes settled out the window as she gazed at InuYasha's empty apartment.

"I wonder what he thinks of me after this morning." Kagome jumped up from the couch and went to the backroom.

Sango was looking through her closet throwing things this and that way. She saw Kagome staring at her from the doorway and perked up

"Oh, glad you're here! Should I wear this red dress with these black shoes or should I wear this black skirt with this red top also with the black shoes." Kagome looked at the two outfits.

"Um...I think....um I think...."

"Anyday now, Kag."

Kagome looked to each outfit then her eyes set on Sango "I think I'm starting to really like you. Is that wrong?''

Sango was shocked at Kagome's words. "Um...I think I like the skirt and top better." She said in a nervous sweaky tone as she laid down the outfit on her bed.

"Me, too. I like the....um black skirt better"

Kagome just sighed and decided not to talk more on this conversation. She wasn't ready for it yet.





Meanwhile a swoaking wet, battered up InuYasha staggered into the hospital. Everybody looked at him stunned. Then Eri rushed over to him.

"Do you need any help, Mr. Taisho?!"

InuYasha spat out some blood. "Where's my brother?" He said cold and mean making the nurse shiver and nervously point the direction.

InuYasha grunted as he limped through the doors until he was face to face with his brother.

"Good lord, man! What happened?!"

"Mr. Higurashi already knew about Naraku and sent me to kill him and his, professionally trained kick boxing, dealers. Unfortunately, I didn't get Naraku but I delt with the dealers. Sixty of them. I counted."

"I told you to quit before this gets serious. You could....could..."

"Could what, Sesshomaru!!"

"Nevermind."

"Look, I don't need you to tell me what to do. What I do need you to do is to get me..... a damn doctor." With that InuYasha collasped to the floor.

Sesshomaru kneld down beside his brother as he shook his head. "What have you done? If you keep this up, there will be no more of you. Only the beast that is kept within you."
