Sess: Here Lilli, Lilli, Lilli… Where did my pet go?

 

Lillikyi: *Hiding in a tree.* Oh, dear. *Sweatdrop.* Damn it, I'm stuck up in this tree!

 

Sess: *Hears something.* Oh, there you are! *Starts to climb tree.* I thought cats climbed trees, not wolfs. *Smirk.*

 

Lillikyi: Shit! *Climbs up further.* KAEDE!!!!!!!!

 

Kaede: *Steps out from the forest.* Hush child! Ye will be safe. *Beads go flying through the air to land around Sessy's neck.* Ye know what to do… *Smirks and leaves.*

 

Sess: What the hell? *Looks at Lilly, with puppy dog eyes.* Awww, Lilli…

 

Lillikyi: *Smirks.* SIT BOY!!!

Chapter 2: Vanilla, Almonds, and Slayers

 

“Leave me alone!” he heard, just before someone barreled into him, knocking him flat on his ass, his back hitting the pavement hard with the momentum of the person. He looked up into the deep emerald green eyes of the form sprawled atop him, obviously feminine, and later on he would swear that something had stolen his brain, for all he could think when he saw her face was `MINE'…

Sesshomaru shook his head, trying to clear it. The girl was giving off this smell that was driving his senses haywire! She smelled like vanilla and almonds. Sess couldn't help but sniff her, he felt like he would explode if he didn't fully inhale that scent. When he realized what he was doing, Sess glowered at the girl on top of him. How could such a little human cause such a disturbance within him? He growled, “Are you going to just lie on top of me all day or are you going to get off?” The girl blinked two wide eyes at him and quickly crawled off. Sess refused to admit it, but he almost groaned, missing the contact of her small form sprawled atop him.

 

They both stood up, and dusted off. `Wonder what the hell she was running from,' he thought, thinking about that last shouted, “Leave me alone!” that he heard. He looked at her, now he could see her, and not just those big emerald eyes. She was about a foot shorter than him, `The perfect height,' he thought, with long black, waist length hair that seemed to glow with blue-black highlights. She had a petite figure but really long legs `Damn, nice legs,' he thought. `What is it with me and legs? I guess I'm just like Yasha's hentai friend in that respect. All I can think about is those long legs wrapped around…'

 

“… and why are you staring at me?!!!” Sess blushed. He'd been so lost in his perverted thoughts that he hadn't even known she was speaking to him. He smirked, trying to cover it up, “Staring at you? Please! I was just trying ignore your chattering.” `Gods, I hope she accepts that excuse. She really does have nice legs.'

 

Kagome looked at him and blushed. `Who the hell did this guy think he was?!!!' It was bad enough that Menomaru's gang was following around and saying all those demeaning things about her. At first she had held her head up high, ignoring them, but eventually they had gotten to her. She knew she had to get away from them before she did something drastic... like purify them. And since Miko's weren't generally accepted by society, she didn't really want that fact getting out. So, she ran away, shouting that fated, “Leave me alone!” and looking over her shoulder to see if they were still following her. That's when she ran into the huge tree, (Boy, wouldn't you feel stupid if you ran into a tree?) only the tree didn't stay put. She pulled her face from the material, `Who would wrap trees in material?!!!' she thought, then Kagome noticed that it wasn't a tree at all, but a guy.

 

`Whoa, where do they grow guys like that, cause I wanna' live there!' was her first thought. She then shook her head in a daze, where had that thought come from? She must be spending too much time alone at home. `Damn, but he has nice eyes, all golden and glazed over. Wait a minute… is he sniffing me?!!! What a perv! Although, it is kinda nice and comfortable… wait a minute! I don't even know him!!!' Then came his growled, “Are you going to just lie on top of me all day or are you going to get off?”

 

She got up pretty quickly, wanting to get away from him, and fast. They both looked at each other, brushing their clothes off. “I'm sorry! I was running and didn't see you! Are you okay? Hello? Are you sure you're okay… and why are you staring at me?!!! The guy blushed and started talking about ignoring her chattering. As if! He was so completely staring! `He's sure something to stare at, though!' she thought. The most remarkable features he had were his eyes and hair. Those golden orbs weren't so glazed now, more alert, and his hair, wow! All silvery and flowing down his back. She just wanted to touch it! Not to mention his height and the broadness of his shoulders. `He's what Sango would call “One hell of a knock out.”

 

“Hey bitch, did you find a new play thing? Why don't you jump his bones like ya' do everyone else? Or are you being a selective whore again?” taunted Touke, one of Menomaru's henchmen. The whole gang stood about 15 feet away, laughing and making crude remarks.

 

Kagome's hands balled in fists. Thoughts of revenge and hurt showed in her face. Her eyes flashed and she started to step toward them. `How dare they…' A loud, menacing growl came from her right, stopping her from moving forward, and a hand grasped her wrist from the left, dragging her back. The growl, of course came from the unknown dog-boy. (She thought of him like that because of all the sniffing and the growling he had done since she bumped into him. It was so cute!) But the hand on her wrist was her best friend Sango.

 

“Come on Kags, not now!” Sango whispered, “There's a lot of people around here!” Kagome backed down, realizing they were causing a scene, something she did not need. The gang just laughed and walked away, waiting for a better time to pester her again when no one was there to defend her. “Cowards.” It'd been like that since that night…

 

“What was that all about?” said the golden-eyed boy. Kagome turned to him, noticing his aggressive stance. `Was he staring them down this whole time?'

 

“They're the Slayers, the local gang run by Menomaru. They can get pretty nasty,” Sango said. Kagome looked over at him, “This is Sango, and my name is Kagome Higarashi. Sorry we got you involved in this. They don't even go to school here, well, except for their leader, but he's a slack off. They're just here to torment me for…” she trailed off, “…anyways, who are you?”

 

“My name is Sesshomaru. I am a transfer student from Northwest University. My brother and I are here to register for classes,” he said as he bowed. `He's so formal,' Kagome thought. `His family must be rich,' she thought, looking at his expensive clothes and laptop case. But, then she thought about his earlier behavior when he had done all of that sniffing, growling, and blushing and decided that there had to be some kind of fire behind that cold exterior.

 

“So what's your major?” Kagome asked. She was interrupted by Sango.

 

“Hey, Kags, sorry, I gotta' go. I have to pick up Kohaku from school or mom'll pitch a fit!”

 

“Okay Sango! Be careful!” she said as the taller girl walked away. Sango was a year older than her, but ever since they had met at college in the local coffee shop that ran 24/7, they had been best friends.

 

Sesshomaru watched the retreating girls figure. She was nice enough. He looked back toward Kagome. “I believe you asked my major? It's Company Management and Marketing,” he stated.

 

“So why did you transfer to Southeastern University then? Aren't the programs for that at Northwestern and here pretty equal?”

 

“Yes, but my father wished for me too…”

 

“HEY, SESSY!!!” came a loud shout from their right side. Sesshomaru growled, knowing exactly what impudent pup would call him that.

 

“… be with my brother.” Kagome laughed, seeing Sesshomaru growl at his younger brother. They looked so much alike! Sesshomaru was a little taller and a little more… alluring though. There was just something about him that attracted her…

 

“So Sess, ya' gonna introduce me? Or are we going to just stand `ere all day?” the boy said.

 

“Kagome, this, to my misfortune, is my baka of a brother, Inu Yasha.” Sesshomaru glowered at Inu Yasha.

 

“Yeah, it's a pleasure meeting such a beautiful woman,” Inu Yasha grinned as he lifted Kagome's hand to his lips. Sesshomaru's hair started to bristle and he started to growl inaudibly. Inu Yasha happened to look up at that moment, it's a good thing Kagome wasn't looking at Sesshomaru. His eyes were blood red… Inu Yasha yelped and started to back away…

Sess: *Grins and jumps down.* Okay, and since the moon is out… *Walks over to Lilli and picks her up.*

 

Lillikyi: HEY!!! Put me down you overgrown Cocker spaniel!!!

 

Sess: COCKERSPANIEL?!!! I'll have you know that we're closer to a Great Pyrenees… hey, WAIT A MINUTE!!! I'm not a dog! I'm a demon! Remember that wench!

 

Lillikyi: *Not thinking clearly.* Wench! I'll show you wench! SIT BOY!

 

*CRASH.* *Sess lands on top of Lilli.*

 

Sess: Well, now this is fun… *Evil Smirk.*

 

Lillikyi: Shit…
