Chapter 5: Hot And Bothered Confessions

Kagome watched Sesshomaru, looking in his eyes for any sense of disgust or revulsion. She had been tainted and used and now he knew. Tears were pouring down her face as she started to get up and walk away. Anywhere but where she could see the loathing that he would have for her.

 

Sess gripped her arm before she could turn away. She was abruptly pulled into his embrace, her head beneath his chin, and their arms around each other. “Kagome, it's okay. Cry, scream, do something!!! You have to let it out before it eats you up inside. I'm here, it'll be okay…” He hugged her tighter to him as different thoughts raced through his mind. Kagome's broken sobs were muffled through his shirt, making him even more emotional.

 

`I'm going to slash that moth into pieces! How dare he?!!! This special creature was tortured by him. She belongs to ME!!! Her inner strength and fire are so special… and she's a Miko. There's the one catch. She's the one person that could destroy me… and yet… it seems… that I belong to her. Yes, that's what I feel in my heart. As sudden and as fast as this is happening, there is no doubt I love her. And I've barely even known her a week! All of the sudden he could feel it wanting to take over, his Youkai blood was coming to the front, sensing her tears and pain. `No! The crystal will not disguise this, stop!' He could feel it wanted to protect its mate, to please her, to help her in any way possible. He could feel his claws growing longer, and was very careful to stroke her back without marking that delicate skin. His fangs were getting longer at the feel of her breasts pressing against his chest. His cock was becoming agonizingly aware, filling his jeans to the point of pain. He looked down at her head buried in his chest and saw the elegant curve of her neck, pulsing and beckoning his Youkai senses. But at the thought of what would happen if she looked up at that moment, to see his true form, the panic of finding herself in the arms of a monster, drove it back down. It would not wait forever.

 

They sat like that for a long time, in each others arms. Kagome was exhausted, and glad that he was there for her when she was so torn up like this. He was becoming a true friend… and maybe more. She couldn't deny her attraction to him. He was like the moon, and she'd been stuck in the dark for so long…

 

When everyone in the house was asleep, except for them, Kagome heard Beethoven's 7th coming from his pocket… `What in the world?' Sesshomaru pulled out his cell phone and checked the caller ID.

 

“What do you want mutt-face?”

 

“Do you realize its fucking 1:00am in the morning?!!! Where the fuck are you? You disappeared at school today and I had to get Miroku to give me a fucking ride home!!! It took me forever to drag that baka hentai away from a simpering group of chicks! And I got a slap meant for him!!”

 

“There was a… incident. I brought Kagome home early,” Sess said, sighing in exasperation. You'd think his half-wit brother could come up with some better language.

 

“Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…. So, how was it?” He could hear a tone that suggested his brother was smirking on the other side.

 

“Baka, get your mind out of the gutter! I've just been here talking to her, in her living room about… some things.”

 

“So are you coming home then?”

 

“Shortly… go to bed idiot, don't wait up.”

 

“Kay… bye Sessy Poo! Get a goodbye kiss!” And with that the phone went dead.

 

`Moron.' He flushed at the thought of what his brother had said. `Like she'd want to kiss me anyways. She barely even knows me!' He looked at her gulped. She was blushing. `She must have heard everything that Yasha said. Shit!'

 

“Uhhmmmmmmm…” He didn't know what to say. How did one apologize for a baka brother that couldn't keep his mouth shut? He sat there for a couple more seconds before Kagome sat up, facing him. Then, to his utter surprise, she leaned forward and kissed him. It didn't last very long, and was very innocent in nature, but it turned Sess on. When she pulled back he searched her eyes, finding an emotion there that he was sure was similar to his.

 

At this point his control snapped. One word burned red in his mind… MINE!!! Suddenly he was pulling him to her and kissed her like he really wanted to, with a passion that rivaled the heat burning inside his body. He ran his tongue around the inside of her mouth, begging for more.
